Look. As a fast food restaurant with a drive-thru, you have a particular responsibility to get it right. You have NO idea the circumstance that would cause a person to come to a drive-thru. Could be no big deal whatsoever, or it could be that a family drove for FIFTEEN HOURS from North Carolina to New Rochelle with two kids and two dogs in tow and just needed something to feed them before going - finally - home. You did NOT get it right. You rushed me through my order and perhaps thought you were being efficient by saying "anything else" as I was finishing ordering each item. But as Jerry Seinfeld would have said, "You know how to TAKE the order, but you don't know how to FILL the order, and THAT is really the most important part of the order." So I drove away, mistakenly confident in your ability to fill my order, and just sent my kid to bed with a measly taco in his stomach because you didn't include his grilled stuffed nacho and he didn't like anything that anyone else ordered. AND I couldn't come back because NO EFFING WAY was I giving up the parking spot on my full block because YOU didn't do your job right. And the icing on the cake is that when I called and explained an abbreviated version of this, you told me I could bring in my receipt whenever I want and you would give me what was missing. I assure you I will have fed my son by then. I also assure you that receipt is long gone in the garbage collection that ensued after said fifteen hour drive. I guess I can say that the restaurant is clean and roomy, like the Taco Bell that the Northeast Bronx was robbed of many years ago. My vote for Worst Fast Food Restaurant. I've lived in NY, Cali, and Miami. I've been to many fast food restaurants. This is, by far, the worst. It's terribad and that's not even a word. The managers should be fired and the owner should sell the place to someone that is capable of being in the food industry. This place CONSTANTLY tells you to pull around the drive through to wait for your order. Your employees shouldn't feel the need to do this with NO ONE ELSE IN THE DRIVE-THROUGH, just to please higher ups. Let's not forget that the food is soggy and cold (compared to other Taco Bell's). The people taking your order are imbeciles. How many times are you going to ask me if that completes my order? I'm clearly still ordering. I swear, if I hear "Does that complete your order?" one more time, I'll drive to Port Chester to go to get my Taco Bell fix. If they do manage to complete your order, they'll probably forget something, because they cannot multitask at all. I placed an order with Tacobell.com to this address. I received a tracking number via e-mail, and also received notifications of the status of my order through text message. When I went to pick it up, the employees said the order was not placed and that they dint receive orders. I showed them the e-mail and text notifications and they rudely said "how else can I explain this to you, we don't have your order." Someone else working there said something like "we don't take online orders" or "we don't receive online orders". Very unprofessional and shady if they don't understand that my order was sent to them since I have proof it was suppose to be ready at a certain hour. The food is usually prepared correctly. I don't have those problems here. I never see it crowded inside--plenty of places to sit. However, lines are common, both inside and at the drivein. This has always been a slow place. Always. I've been here when it was very bad and I had to wait 20 minutes for my order. And it wasn't because of all the orders being fulfilled. There were about 5-7 orders outstanding at all times and everyone is waiting on orders not the register. I don't see this as a quick meal, because I never know how long it will take to get my order. The place is decently clean and on the rare occasion that I went into the bathroom it has been decent. I've always been a fan of the crunch wrap, chalupa (I miss the southwestern one they discontinued from the original launch). Gorditas are a healthier version of the chalupas and are good, too. They had a crunchy burrito that had these red frito chips in it. That was very good. The steak taquitos with sour cream are good. Nice grill flavor. Never cared for the desserts until they launch the cookies and icing sandwiches. Disliked the cantina items. Yuk. 2015 UPDATE - In the last year I have seen an improvement in speeds here. I more consistently go to the drive through now, and the wait usually isn't bad, even if I see 3-4 cars in the drive through lane. BTW, love the new chickster flavors (honey jalapeno, spicy mango), quesaritos are good. Breakfasts are decent. At first coffee was great, last time I went, mfar more average. very dangerous taco bell went with my kids omg parents just please check the food first. My daughter had a piece of silver brillo pad stuck in her throat thank god she was able to it throw-up. we thought it was that she scratched her throat with a hard taco but that wasn't the case also they had like six workers in the back and only one cashier no sense at all.
