Family owned, and recipes long standing, this restaurant has been my dad and my "secret" breakfast spot for years. This place has the best tacos anywhere. They have great chorizo tacos. Their burritos are very good too. I really recommend this place for tacos and beers. Service was very slow and the food was ridiculously salty. The only redeeming quality was the cashier who suggested I order a combo instead of the multiple individual items I was ordering. Great "hole in the wall" with some authentic mexican food. I had three taco platter, sampling the carne asada, carnitas, and lengua. Was a little disappointed with the pork because it was dry. The steak was delicious and so was the lengua. side of beans and rice was tasty too. drinks offered are mexican coke and Jarritos sodas as well as aqua fresca. Good food great prices. Again Yelp! is missing the half stars for this review. Had there been, this review would be 3.5 stars. The food is not bad and actually pretty good, but the problem is with the service and the layout at this place. Just as previous reviews have stated this place takes long to get you your food, and sometimes just as long to actually order! That's a bad thing because as i said the food is actually pretty good. I think there set-up does them a dis-service. They have a large enough dining room to actually have waiter service, but instead they make you order at the counter and also make you come get your own food from the same counter, this causes the problems. Maybe not for the person behind the counter because all she/he has to do is input the order and call out your order as food is ready. Kinda unprofessional and if they want to take it to the next level, i think waiter service will help this place out ALOT! (just my 2 cents) The counter person never smiled, wasn't friendly at all (at least fake it), and moved like a turtle...she acted as if she was being forced to work there. I love to support small businesses like this and will definitely be back as this place is close to home, but i only speak the truth. I come here every now and then..the only thing that holds me back is that they take a while to get your food out to you. Reason for the 5 stars even after the long wait for my food is because once you get what you have ordered it's always great! Their food is yummy and flavorful. This hidden gem is worth the search. The ingredients are fresh. The tacos are street style and have just the right kick. The Al Pastor was great flavored and the portion filled the two corn layer corn tacos. The taco plate had three tacos with rice and beans. The overall service was very pleasant just a little slow.
