I was impressed that they cooked the chicken for my burrito and the chicken just wasn't sitting in a warmer or something. I appreciate the cook to order here. My wife and I stopped by a few days ago since it's right by our house. She had the pastor and chicken tacos. They were pretty good. A few sides came with it. The chips and salsa arrived nice and warm, but the salsa was way too watered down. Maybe drain some water out before serving it. I had the shredded beef chimmy and I have to say, the chimmie was huge, but that was because 90% of it was tortilla. I could hardly find any meat. Maybe use a smaller tortilla and more meat and I'd even pay a dollar more. The meat was tasty. Also, no lemonade.. I don't drink soda, so all the had was Kool-Aid type drinks and tea. UPDATE: I stopped back today and tried their shrimp taco plate. The beans and rice were good. The mixture of ingredients mixed with the shrimp was OK. Wow this place is insanely overpriced I ordered two beef tacos in a chimichanga they charged me $20. Not so much worried about the price as the fact that the beef has absolutely no flavor at all, In addition to that I ordered a chimichanga smothered and queso I got home only to find out that they did not put any case on it whatsoever and when I went back to complain about it they charge me additional five dollars for a side of queso. I believe their burritos are overpriced for the size. Also, when ordering online they don't read the special instructions and make your meal as usual. So if you have to order with special instructions, make sure you order over the phone. I used to love this place and don't blame management, but maybe the people working the shift. Just grabbed a quick bean and cheese burrito. I thought it was a tad pricey for taco shop food, but not outrageous. The burrito was just ok at best. My tortilla was really dry and the beans broke out through several cracks is the tortilla. So I basically had to eat my burrito with a fork and knife. It's actually quite good....just not great. I came late on a Sunday evening. Place looked close, like so many other Mexican food places in Gilbert on a Sunday night (I swear, some dont even stay open until their POSTED Hours...Annoying!) Anyways, I was greated by a bubbly and happy cashier. I order the Horchata first (because, how can you NOT! LoL), and proceeded to order the Chimichanga plate and the #15 Asada BURRO. We promptly got our food, and I noticed (no one told me, just gotta figure it out on your own, I guess?) About the salsa bar to the far right of the place (hard to see, with most of the lights our ) Then, I noticed something strange: my BURRO was a BURRITO...okay? I mean, I haven't been in AZ long, but I DO know a burro when I see one. So, I tell the happy cashier, and she shows me, on her tablet/register that -indeed- the #15 IS a BURRITO?!?! Yeah...ok, well...i didn't want a burrito....but, it's okay (i guess) so i ate it - it was an okay burrito, just okay - nothing else. Then, my 6 year old son's Chimichanga was FULL of bell peppers and onions...like overflowing, actually. I watched the cook pull the premade filler for it, from a very clean stainless steel container, so I can't say this was a 'Pen & Teller routine', going on here...Just amazed at the amount of bell pepper in a Chimichanga, is all. Not my son's 'cup of tea', but he's 6 years old, so I won't hold that against this place. You may love it, and if so - ENJOY! Lastly, since we both had combos we have a chance to enjoy the rice, but the beans tasted like they were made yesterday (and not very warm when we got it)... They may want to find some Kids Menu-style offerings in the very near future. Like Kids Mini burrito (no peppers)? Just saying...You're in Gilbert, AZ [aka Kids-Ville, USA]. So, I regret that I can't add this to my frequent family Mexican food spots. Been a very long time since I've been here given the my last experience. Last time I ordered nachos and they served them with the cold cheese. Big fat f'in clump of cold shredded cheese. WTF? I said, "Aren't you going to warm this up and they said "That's not how Nachos are served, have you never had nachos?" Don't judge the food by the outside of the building. Looks very plain but once inside it is very nice and quant. Basic menu but very good flavors. The chips are made to order. Salsa station gives a few options and there is a very spicy version. The ice at the fountain drink station is the crushed version that makes the drinks very cold.
