My kind of Mexican food. Uber casual, you order at the counter and pick up food when they call out your item. A little salsa bar on the side with 2 different salsas, pickled veggies, radish, and lime. We had the carne asada taco combo and a carne asada wet burrito. The tacos were delicious with a good amount of meat. Their refried beans were good too. Wet burrito came with spicy sauce on top, and it was super hot (temperature-wise). I personally liked that it was piping hot, and I enjoyed every bite. Their salsa was delicious, the red salsa being my favorite. It was a little smoky and spicy, not as spicy as King Taco's, but it gave me a little burn in my mouth that I enjoyed. One star off for the mess at the salsa bar when I was there. It wasn't too crowded during lunch time, and the food came out pretty quickly. I will definitely be back. Recommend if you like simple, no frills, tasty Mexican food! read more

I first went to Taco Sinaloa about 4 or 5 years ago and I didn't try their tacos. I think I had their enchilada or burrito and I remember thinking to myself, "What's the hype over this restaurant? I don't get it." Well, few years later, here I am giving Taco Sinaloa one more try. And guess what? Their tacos are the best I've ever had! Yesterday, I ordered their carne asada fries, one lengua taco, one carne asada taco, and one carne asada quesadilla to go. Their lengua taco was SO GOOD. The lengua meat had nice consistency with some moisture. I honestly liked my lengua taco better than the carne asada taco. Don't take me wrong, the carne asada taco was also good but lengua taco is better, hands down. I regretted not ordering some more tacos as soon as I ate my two tacos. I also liked their quesadilla! Their quesadilla was the fattest, most meatiest quesadilla I've ever seen. It was loaded with cheese and carne asada. Even my mom said it was the best quesadilla she's ever eaten! On the downside, their carne asada fries was just okay. I don't think the crinkle cut fries goes well as carne asada fries. It's too mushy for my taste. The carne asada fries also didn't have enough cheese for my liking and I can vouch that I've had better carne asada fries from Santana's in Riverside. But I guess I'll pick up a order of carne asada fries from Taco Sinaloa if I'm in desperate measure to fulfill my craving when I'm in Torrance. In conclusion, 24 hour Mexican restaurant that has one of the best tacos in the world for reasonable price? Well, I guess I finally understand the hype over Taco Sinaloa. :D PS. YAH-YUH. Thank you to my friend for taking me here! Carnita tacos - Good. I wasn't a big fan of the meat because I thought it was too chewy with too many tendons. If anyone has been to the $1 taco truck at El Antojito, then you know this place charges slightly more for their tacos. I still prefer the $1 taco truck .............. taste and price. Carne Asada Fries - OK. It's like a heart attack on a plate. Literally. I ate about half of it before I couldn't eat it anymore. I then took the rest to go and my fridge smelled like carne asada fries ....... and then microwaved it the next day, which was not good at all... so I threw them away. Lesson: eat them in restaurant, leftovers not good. I got the horchata - OK taste. Not too sweet but I wasn't a fan of the stuff that settled at the bottom of the cup. Very gritty ........ I am officially addicted. It's a 15-20 minute drive from my place and I'll actually get into my car and go get these tacos at all hours of the day AND night. That is absolutely ridiculous considering I live a mile from El Burrito Junior, but I can't get over the Lengua Tacos. The beef tongue is soft and juicy, and getting it with everything is a must. The Carne Asada Fries will cure any hunger, hanger, and hangover! There are a lot of fries, and every single one is COVERED in carne asada and cheese. I've also tried the Carne Asada Tacos, the Carnitas Tacos, and the Al Pastor, and all are fantastic. And I don't know what they put in the Cabeza Tacos but they're so fatty and soft that you don't even have to chew! I practically lived off of their Carne Asada (and the occassional Bean & Cheese) burritos for like 5 years. This was a little over 10 years ago. I went so often I even became proficient ordering en Espanol, which is notable because I speak no Spanish and suck at all foreign languages. I really kinda miss this place..... had no idea it's open 24/7. Living in Southern California, you come to expect great Mexican food to be available everywhere and anywhere. I've experienced some gastronomical deliciousness, while still finding places that disappoint with what they consider "Mexican food" these days. So, when I was driven to the ghetto-er side of Torrance and read "Taco Sinaloa #3" on a small sign next to a Hong Kong Express, I was weary the number referred to the quality of this restaurant. What did I find? DECO: 3 stars The place has the standard deco most "real" Mexican restaurants have. There are hand painted murals on the walls. The place is decently lit, covered on three sides with windows made opaque from the various menu items painted on them. There is a crane game filled with generic stuffed animals, and a jukebox filled with Mexican records and albums. Adjacent to those two is a salsa bar filled with sliced beets, jalapeños, pico de gallo, green sauce, red sauce, and a hand written sign above that warns customers if they take more than they need, they will be charged. This is foreshadowing to the deliciousness of those sauces. There is a large menu above the counter where you order, and the large opening allows you to see some of the cooking magic. The tables aren't the cleanest, but that's how most hole-in-the-wall places are. SERVICE: 3 stars Not much service here. You order and pick it up when your number is called. I guess how good your service is really depends on you. FOOD: 4 stars This is the shining star, the quality you expect from "authentic Mexican food". Without a doubt, their tacos are the best thing on the menu. Tacos are great because you can get as many as you want or as little as you need. The tacos here remind you of the street tacos you'll find in any metropolitan city. They're smaller than what you would find at a Taco Bell or Del Taco, but they're packed with much more flavor than any taco you'll find at an American-Mexican restaurant. The top three tacos I'd recommend are: 1. Pescado - diced breaded white fish that is amazingly still moist and tender, even though it's fried. 2. Cabeza - the cheek meat of the cow, slowly braised and cooked for hours. It is incredibly tender and almost melts in your mouth. They are very generous with the portion of the meat, usually brimming over the borders of the tortilla. 3. Carne asada - the staple meat of almost all Mexican cuisine. Theirs are rich in flavor, marbled with fat, and juicy. My mouth is watering just thinking about taking a bite. All the tacos are garnished with a diced onion/cilantro mix. Most of the tacos are naturally spicy before any salsa is added. However, the tortilla is subtly sweet, giving a contrast in the flavor spectrum with each bite. The salsa though is key. If you like your taco spiced up with some extra heat, go for the green and red sauce. The red sauce is the spicier of the two, adding some intense heat for each bite that'll be sure to cure a cold. The green sauce is a bit milder, but not by much. If you enjoy the deep, rich flavors of peppers, the green sauce is what you're going to want. *Pro-tip: If you really want to see how good the salsas are, go get a few tacos from Taco Sinaloa, grab the salsas, and head over to get a two item from Hong Kong Express. The salsa from Taco Sinaloa goes incredibly well with the chow mein and fried rice. PRICE: 4 stars The pricing is very affordable. The tacos are only about $1.25 each. Usually, I end up getting three or more tacos. It's worth every penny. The rest of the menu is around the usual prices you'll find for Mexican food at places like this. CONCLUSION: If you ever find yourself in the South Bay and fiening for some dank tacos, you need to drive yourself over to Crenshaw and Western. Whether it's from a late night LAN party or the ever glow after drinking, Taco Sinaloa is the place to go to satiate all your late night desires. It is open 24 hours after all. read more

Rude. Unsanitary. And flat out unsatisfactory. Don't waste your time with this place. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch today (we've come here several times after long nights of drinking) but this time was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, the lady at the register was rude. She asked us if we wanted our drinks in a "bottle or can" and we kept asking her to repeat herself because we couldn't understand her at first as she had a very strong Spanish accent. Then she finally raised her voice and said with an attitude "bottle or CAN or FOUNTAIN" and pointed to the fountain drinks as she threw her hands up in the air. She proceeded to grab our fountain cups (touching the inside of the cups and inside of the lids with her bare hands) and placing the lids on our cups touching every part. Not to mention, the kitchen looked like it hadn't been swept or cleaned in weeks. The salsa bar was out of limes and completely disgusting and unorganized. When we finally tried to sit down at a table, ALL 14 tables were dirty (there was only about 4 customers total in the entire restaurant at this point) and we had to address the busser to clean at least one so we could sit. Unacceptable. Now for the food: We witnessed one of the chefs grab the chips and topping with his BARE hands. Disgusting and unsanitary. A bunch of the tapatio bottles were missing their caps and were dirty and had dried sauce all over them (refer to picture)... just gross. I ordered two flautas, and they came out practically like taquitos. Hard and crunchy and burnt. Not what I ordered. The chicken inside of my boyfriends chicken burrito wasn't fully cooked. Pink and cold. I actually work as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant in redondo beach so I have somewhat of an understanding of what Mexican food should be like...and this was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. You know when they say "You know the food is good when the place is ghetto" This is that kind of place. It is an old tatered building with legit street style tacos. I mean the good stuff. Price is good. And full of flavor. Order 3 Cabeza Tacos - I like this gelatinous meat. Full of flavor and this place cooks it for 16hrs straight. This is my go to taco here hands down. 2 Carne Asada Tacos - Meat is tender and has the spices. A little on the dry side compared to Cabeza but its my #2 Taco. 1 Pollo Taco - A surprise here. Most places dont have chicken taco. Just the beef and pork. But here the chicken is twnder and juicy and very well flavores. My #3 Taco here. I always get at least one. Chips and Guac - Chips are light and airy. Lightly salty. Not greasy or hard. Just right. Guac on thw other hand looks like its a mix food processed and small chunks added. Not my style I prefer, but the taste is there and it satisfies the guac craving a tad. Mexican Coke - Its mexican coke. Can not get anything better. Unless it's a beer. I've heard lots of good things about this 24/7 taco place from my co-workers, so I just had to give it a try. Originally, I thought this will be a quick grab-and-go trip ... well I was completely wrong. The waiting line wasn't awfully bad, but I didn't particularly like how cashier took her time taking orders as well as her nonchalant attitude. Soft shell tacos ($1.39 each) - asada (broiled beef), al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (beef cheek meat), lengua (beef tongue): I probably liked al pastor the best - flavorful marinated meat. Both beef cheek and tongue weren't too shabby, but not really out-of-this-world good. Asada wasn't very memorable. Horchata ($1.69 medium): Probably as good as you can get in the South Bay area. It was GOOD. You can't go wrong with al pastor and horchata. However, I do really think this place need to hire more employees - waiting line needs to move a bit faster ... sigh, the frustration. read more

I am a regular customer here and realized I have never left a review. I give 4 stars, only because of the older woman cashier. She is so rude and her whole demeanor screams 'I hate it here'. Everytime you ask her a question, it's always "huh?" "What?" and you have to repeat yourself a lot. She usually messes up my order in the process somehow. If you don't like working there, then leave. Simple as that. Other than that, when she's not working, this place is the go to! Food is bomb! Other workers are nice and always give great customer service! I was unfortunate enough to have a craving for tacos. Hole in the wall, delicious tacos. In the south bay. Well, let's open up yelp and see that, perhaps, this place has promise and although rough around the edges, may satisfy that insatiable need. Hmm not highly rated, well you never know. 2 carne asada, 2 al pastor and 1 birria plate later, I was convinced of my mistake. The carne asada and al pastor looked far far from fresh and tasted like they have been sitting on the side for hours. There was no lovely char on the al pastor that you expect when cooking on the spit. No intense flavor from the carne asada. It was all just bland. Perhaps the greatest let down was the birria. Flavorless. This was definitely not quinceañera worthy. All this in addition to the flavorless, store bought tortillas that immediately decided to fall apart right before my first bite. Let's talk about ambiance. The inside definitely screams hole in the wall. Dated and dirty, it is definitely far from classy. The salsa bar, dirty and questionable. Plenty of parking, though, and the staff was really nice and friendly. Well most of them, except for the one whom a poor fellow asked if the salsa was hot or mild. For his question was dismissed without a response and the look on his face of disappointment was a premonition to the joyless culinary experience I would later have. This is my go to spot for over 20 years. I have enjoyed this spot, but this guy right here, made it the worse experience ever. I use to live around here 20 yrs and and returned to the area 4 years ago. I order the same thing every time, Shrimp Ceviche. Well, the female that is usually at the register is great, friendly and definitely a reason to return. This guy is short with you and made the line wait for 10+minutes, while he went off taking care of other orders, terrible customer service. I waited so long already, I didn't want to leave. It's been so hot lately, and all I wanted was something light and refreshing. At first, I pulled up to Alfredo's drive thru and asked if they served ceviche. Nope. Then, I saw it. Taco Sinaloa open 24 hours. Parked, walked in, and asked if they served shrimp ceviche. YES. Add that avocado & extra lemon and lime to go, and you are set! Needless to say, it hit the spot. The ceviche is refreshing as well as light. And, they're open 24 hours! I'm not from this area, but if I was I'd be making late night pit stops all the time for those late night munchies. This is my go to Mexican spot, I usually only go weekday mornings and it's never really packed at that time. The food is authentic & the flavor is on point. My usual order is either the chicken enchiladas or the chorizo nachos but I have tried pretty much everything on the menu besides the seafood portion. The person taking your order can be kind of grumpy sometimes but whatever, after they get to know you it's all good.
