Great chips and salsa. Chips were hot in temperature. My Enchiladas Rancheras were amazing. Cheesy. Meaty. Got shredded beef and Ground beef. Probably the best beans I've had. My friends enjoyed their beers. Quiet atmosphere for a family restaurant. Service was attentive. Other than the mix up of items on separate checks; overall, we had a good time! I'll definitely be back!

This restaurant is close to LaHS off of the busy los alamitos street. The decor is super Vibey really cute and kind of like a local surf joint. Onto the food. I initially ordered their famous fish burrito, which I asked for grilled and it came out too fishy so I ended up swapping it out for a Carina. I saw that burrito. The best thing about this place is there free chips and salsa. It is light and airy and super tasty and unlimited. Not really a fan of their burrito I thought it was just OK. Chris was good and I'm not sure that I would come back.

The food: I order carne asada and my friend ordered fish tacos. They were both delicious and cooked to perfection. My steak was tasty and tender. It was not dry and it was huge. The fish taco was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I love love their salsa. It tasted like it was homemade. The service was fast. We got our food no more than 10 mins. And it was served hot. The Ambiance is a party vibe and so very colorful inside. It's clean. The price is not too bad. We spent no more than $60 for the both of us.

We decided to come to this restaurant after my daughter's Flag Football game and it did not disappoint! The service was really good. As soon as we sat down, we are greeted with chips and salsa and they kept refilling them as we looked over the menu. The waiter, Nicholas was really nice, he was super helpful when we asked him questions about the menu. While we waited for our food, he was pretty attentive. When the food came out, everything tasted so good! It came out at the same time, and my family was pretty pleased with what we all ordered! If we're ever out in this area again, we're definitely coming back.

2.75 oz. of allotted salsa for 4 tacos that cost $28

Called about Taco Tuesday. Asked how much. They told me Taco Tuesday was in house, and then I told them I would be picking them up. $4.25 each she said, which for $2 Taco Tuesdays is about right for takeout at any taco joint. Get there and the bill was $28, not $16. She said oh yeah, they're more when you take them home. This was well, after I asked how much they were for takeout. So you can see from the picture you get about $2 to $3 tacos, costing over $6 each, and enough salsa for about five chips. No thank you. I'll just go somewhere where Taco Tuesday is two bucks a taco, which is what Taco Tuesday is. The five chips worth of salsa was good, and the tacos I put Taco Bell sauce on to give them flavor. As you can see from the photograph, those messy tacos are worth about two bucks each, each with a small amount of meat. Goodbye.

Food was plentiful and tasty, I had the 3 taco plate, fish,shredded beef & birria , tacos were full of meat, guacamole lettuce, salsa if requested, service very good & friendly , place was clean with plenty of tables & full bar, I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love Taco Surf, and usually eat here when I come back to SoCal. I used to frequent the other locations more, but three of them closed (Westminster, Surfside, Long Beach). The one in downtown Seal Beach is still amazing, but crowded with tough parking, which makes this larger, more open location with a dedicated parking lot so much more convenient. Great happy hour and big burritos. The only tough part is deciding to stop at the halfway mark so you have a bomb breakfast or eating the whole thing and sleeping with a food baby. read more

From the moment we walked in we where greeted with a smile, we got to choose where we wanted to sit, kid/adult friendly place, not just one person attended to us it was the best service quick and efficient, the salsa for the chips had the right spices and perfect they had the right pinch of ingredients!! I was able to enjoy very tasteful food!! I have been trying to support small businesses through the pandemic, this was my first time trying Taco Surf! Service was friendly, even through the frustration of trying to navigate the new "norm", I appreciate a friendly face and not being treated as a burden. Food was good, but this is what happens with to-go orders! I will be happy to give them another try when they fully open, until then, I'll be spreading the money around the community! Absolutely great Mexican restaurant to stop by for Food and drinks while in the area!!! Plenty of space and love the indoor decore and atmosphere. Definitely did not wait to be seated as our waitress Holland was very quick and attentive and amazing soon as we walked in!!! Her service was amazing and made us feel comfortable ordering as her suggestions definitely knocked it out of the park!!! Loved the chips and salsa as snacks while we waited for our food. If I can give more stars for this place I would!!! If your in the area stop by and ask for holland as your go to waitress! She will take care of you and provide you with that outstanding service!!! Cozy local MX spot with great happy hour tacos and great warm chips & salsa. Switching it up lately, New Year's resolution to eat "healthy" so been getting salads. Their Brandy Salad is packed with extra meat with avocado, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and lettuce is a super charged with spicy ranch (their Baja Sauce). Might not be the "healthiest" but feels a bit less bad than normal MX food. read more

Great Service - Bland, overpriced, and sorta gross food. Decided to try Taco Surf on the recommendation of some Los Alamitos locals. Upon walking in I thought the ambiance and vibe was pretty cool. We were immediately greeted and sat despite being a busy Taco Tuesday. Service the entire meal was amazing! However, the food was not good and I would not recommend eating here. Chips and salsa were sub par. Chips were not fresh and reminded me of some store bought brands. Salsa was watery and very mild. Next up were 3 soggy chicken flautas that had okay flavor but were overpriced at $12. We ordered off the Taco Tuesday menu, deciding upon fish and potato tacos. The tortillas for the fish tacos were cold and quickly became soggy with the sauce. The fish was flavorless and almost certainly frozen. The potato tacos were alright. We also ordered a ceviche tostada that I couldn't finish. The shrimp and fish were bland, rubbery, and lacked citrus flavor. Low key, I wish I ate at El Pollo Loco next door. read more

We have been coming to this Taco Surf Location for 15 years for my moms Birthday, she loves your tacos and I love your scorpion chowder and Mango Salsa is sooo good The Atmosphere is so cool the lil kids get a big kick out of it, and today the Service was awesome YAMI was just top tier, she was so attentive to us, never had to ask for a thing, so nice and kept my mom feeling cared about when she didn't have to thank you YAMI and her Mgr for today ;) read more

I invited my Soldiers out here to eat and it was one of their recommendations. I ordered two tacos, their Ensenada and shrimp taco. They're ok. The chips and salsa were ok also. They have seating outside with a tarp overhead for shade so not too bad on a hot day though the seating's on what was their parking lot. And they give a military discount. read more

Non-authentic mexican food. No salsa bar. Prices are expensive for what you get and portions are small. When you ask for hot sauce ( in my case the hananero chili) you get it in a little condiment cup. I guess they dont want to bring the bottle to your table. Not the worst fake mexican food, but I will never return. read more

Visited this location for the first time last Wednesday evening and was very pleased. Our server Holland told us to try the "grilled chicken ensenada" taco. I believe that's what it's called. She was very personable and made us laugh throughout our visit. It was refreshing having a server who seemed to enjoy talking and getting to know her customers . I've been going to this place for years, it used to be really good but as of late its been going down hill really fast, poor service and the food is not what it used to be. I feel like the cooks don't care what they put out, Taco shell was way lopsided and broke, chicken was dry, and barely warm, waitress never came back to check, I had to hail down the buss boy for chips and salsa. Just an all out bad experience. Like I said I've been going for a long time and I'm not going back. read more

We love to come here several times a week! Love the food, atmosphere and friendly staff! Taco Tuesdays are great! We love the shrimp and fish cervichi, which is served only that day! On other days, we love the fish tacos, tamales, ice cream in shape of round ball, shrimp quesadilla and other shrimp dishes are great! Great alcoholic beverages. Everything tastes wonderful. There's a new menu now that incorporates new and old favorites. Lots of different types of tacos, other Mexican dishes & soups, etc. Oh, the large fried chicken wings are heavenly. Always crowded during peak hours, and their large parking area is always full. Do take the time to come here. It's great! read more

This place is never too packed and it's a great place to dine if you're looking for something light hearty and a warm meal!

After checking out my previous review, I thought a couple of changes were in order. I still think the tacos are great, BUT it is pricey for what it is. If you are expecting a surf shack with great tacos you may be disappointed when paying ten bucks for a couple of tacos. The other meal items are even more pricey. We went in for taco tuesday, food was just ok. It was also very busy as it was happy hour. We were in a large party and the service was nice but very slow. Draft beer was only $3 that was a bonus.
