I had not been here in a year and guess what?! It's just as good as it was last year, if not better. The only thing that has changed was the outside art! Looks very cool with bright colors. I ordered my usual: chilaquiles with egg. It's just so damn good!!! I brought my brother and he liked it too, he ate part of my plate and not by my own choice lol. The place is located right in the heart of silver lake. I love coming here and just walking to coffee places, eating outside and having a good breakfast/lunch. I've read some reviews being cheap about the prices... yeah about that, it's called good food at good price. I bought a coffee at the corner shop $6! So why can a taco be $3-$5? It's good, I definitely recommend. Plus silver lake is not the cheap place it use to be. So want good food? Cough up a few extra bucks. To me it's affordable to each its own pockets. This is my top chilaquiles place in LA. Looking forward to come back now that I'm able to come more often. read more

I highly recommend their tacos - al pastor, shrimp, or fish. The chicken enchiladas and burritos were good but I would get the tacos over their other items. They have outdoor seating in their patio and it is nicely painted and designed. Street parking is metered, but they have a small parking lot thankfully. Don't be overwhelmed by the menu options, you can't go wrong with any of their taco options. I had an array of proteins - chicken, shrimp, fish, asada, carnitas, and beef - all delicious and a proper amount of meat for each taco. It took less than 5min to get my food which is great since I was starving. Agua Frescas are offered so that's an option if you're taking a stroll in Silver Lake. Even if tacos isn't what you are craving for, I noticed their burritos and chilaquilles looked tasty too. It is hard to find authentic and good quality tacos since LA is very saturated among taco restaurants and taco food trucks stands. Parking is available but it's not a lot of spots and max is 30min. You can opt to metered parking along Sunset so be prepared. read more

THE FOOD: I ordered the bean and cheese to go. The beans were bland but I did like that they weren't all whole beans. The sides of green sauce were $0.75 cents each. The side of sour cream was $0.65. I would not order one again. The chilaquiles are spicy. My boyfriend liked them. They were too spicy for me, so I didn't really eat them. They served the food on disposable plates. Overall, meh. The grilled veggie burrito was alright. The peppers could have been cooked down more for a softer texture. My issue was with the $8.50 chips and guacamole. The chips were stale and the guacamole was slightly brown and not that good. Missing lime/salt. You can get way better chips and guac at Chipotle. My husband and I have been coming to tacos delta for a long time and always enjoy it. Today we ordered two burritos and witnessed the waitress drop them on the floor near the restroom then laugh and rewrap them then she immediately brought them to our table to eat. I brought the burrito back to the counter and told her "we saw you drop these on the floor I'm not eating these" then a male employee came outside and said "I'm sorry we will make you new burritos" I was upset and told him "that's unacceptable and unsanitary, would you like to eat burritos off the floor? I am pregnant and if I get food poisoning I could have a miscarriage. I was a waitress and I would never give anyone dirty food. I wouldnt have been upset had you been honest and remade out food" He seemed to understand but now we are afraid of their cleanliness and lack of care. It was upsetting to see her laugh and callously serve us contaminated food. Had I not called them out they would've allowed us to eat that filth. read more

Tacos Delta is a revelation!!!! I've been eating here since I first moved to LA in 2016. The ambiance cannot be beat: it's cozy, cute and colorful. The service is great, and it's amazing that so many of the people who work here seem to be part of the family who owns it (I can tell bc the family resemblance is INSANE). My favorite, favorite salsa in the entire world. Tacos dorados con pollo y con papa are SUBLIME. My mom loves their fish tacos and my dog loves their beans. This place is a Silverlake INSTITUTION. We've only been here for breakfast items but it's always so good! Their huevos rancheros is good but nothing better than their chilaquiles. It comes with rice and beans and eggs over easy. We love how they have chicken as an option for their breakfast burritos and their potatoes are really good! They have quick, friendly service and a nice covered patio area with safe, social distancing during the pandemic. We love calling ahead so the food is ready by the time we get there, getting coffee down the street and eating on their cute patio. I miss the hot sauces that used to be on the tables pre-covid but don't be afraid to ask for individual containers instead. When there is an abuela in the kitchen you know the place is legit. We had the fish/shrimp tacos with a bean/rice combo - excellent value! You get a solid meal here for under $10. I saw a couple of people in food heaven based on their facial expressions and asked what they ordered. Looks like I need to try the CHILAQUILES ASAP so I can be in food heaven too. So I originally wanted the regular burrito that has(beans,rice,lettuce,tomatoes,onions, guacamole) and choice of (asada,carnitas, chicken,al pastor, & veggie) They said they ccs the add the fries to it so I would have to get the California burrito and charge me more! That's so stupid! But if I got the cali burrito I only wanted the fries, asada, rice, and that's it!. Pretty solid taco joint in Silver Lake. Small order window and a covered outdoor patio area for sitting. They brought our order out in 5-10 mins. There is a small parking lot as well and street parking is a little competitive but not impossible. I ordered the fish taco, the taco dorado de papa, and the chicken taco. Skip the chicken taco there's not much there. The fish taco was breaded and fried fresh. You have a choice of a crema or a chipotle sauce for the fish taco. Very good would order again. The taco dorado de papa (fried potato taco) was good but came in a close second to the fish taco. If you're a crispy fan and a vegetarian this is a solid choice. Both tacos were well dressed with cheese and lettuce. They also have a bottle of spicy salsa for the table which is very well balanced. Price wasn't too bad and both of us ate for 20 bucks flat! From the time Silverlake was gangster'ed out till now when all the hipsters fill the streets. Good Mexican fast food, a nice location with parking off Sunset Blvd and good service. Considering this food stand is located right in the heart of Silverlake, I wasn't expecting the breakfast burrito to be this good. Once i saw where it was located, I automatically assumed it was going to be some gentrified "Mexican" food stand that serves mediocre food and the locals would somehow rave its the best Mexican food ever (sorry people of Silverlake lol). It is slightly hidden&small and at first we actually passed it, but when we flipped a U a found it, we had to park on the side-street nearby up the hill (parking can be a little tough; only street parking). The guy working behind the window was very nice and accommodating. We both ordered breakfast burritos (both with bacon, potatoes, and eggs). We waited a little over 5 minutes for them to prepare it for us. We decided to take it to-go since we were on our way to Universal Studios and didn't want to waste time. The breakfast burritos themselves are definitely decent-sized. I was happy super happy when they bagged them for us cause I realized how big they are. The salsa that comes with it is good, although I wish I had asked for another type of salsa just to try it (I'm assuming they had more than one kind of salsa). The ones given to us were red a slightly spicy. It did go well with the burritos though. The breakfast burritos. I'd have to give them an easy 4/5 stars. The texture was great, and the bacon the use was tasty. The reason I took one star off is because of the fact that they had too much potato inside compared to eggs and bacon. The potatoes were good, don't get me wrong... but there should've been a better balance between all the flavors. Nonetheless, we loved our breakfast burritos here and the experience of trying a new Mexican food stand. Definitely would try this place out again for a different meal. I've always passed by this place on my way to eat somewhere else but yesterday we needed a place to park and the owner totally saw us so we had to get something before we ironically went to naturewell to get some detox juice. So, I ordered one shrimp taco. I sat down and ate it and my eyes bulged. So not what I expected. It was actually creamy, delicious, texturally honest, and the salsa was great to boot. My friend decided to order a chicken taco and she liked it so much she went back to order a shrimp taco and she got me the birria and some horchata. We walked over to naturewell and decided not to buy anything and just came straight back to eat our food. The birria needed some help but the Horchata was great.
