AVOID this place at all costs! The customer service is absolutely terrible. We placed an online order for pickup, including a pricey combo meal. When my husband picked it up, they assured him everything was in the bag. But when he got home, we discovered that half the food was missing, no rice and beans. We immediately called to request a refund, but they refused. Instead, they told us we could drive back to pick up the missing items, another 30-minute round trip. I explained that we were already home and just wanted a refund for the food we never received. Their response? "We can't refund online orders." This place is a SCAM! They overcharge for food, fail to deliver what you paid for, and then refuse to make it right. To make matters worse, the food wasn't good at all! Dry meat and no flavor. I pass this restaurant every day I take my son to school. I'm glad I finally tried it. They have a pretty big menu and it was a little hard to decide because everything looked good. I finally decided on 3 hard shell tacos with rice and beans. You do have a choice of regular beans or spicy. I went with regular. Everything was very good. My boyfriend ordered a Carne asada burrito and he really enjoyed it. I had a little taste of the meat from the burrito and it was very flavorful. They also have a salsa bar which had different kinds of salsas. The green one was probably my favorite. I will definitely be back to try other things. read more

We have been here in AZ since 2007 and have been searching for a good Mexican food restaurant to compare to Chicago. This restaurant in Mesa on Southern delivered! The meat in the Burrito was plentiful and seasoned perfectly, tender and just what we have been looking for. The shrimp quesadilla was so good, I could not stop eating it. The front staff were excellent, friendly, spoke English and were very accommodating, since it was our first time there. Service was also very fast. I've been here twice and love their Birria! The first time I tried the birria 'pizza' and it was delicious. Definitely enough to feed 4 people. I've always driven by this place but never ate it till now. The wait was a bit longer than your average drive through however the food is prepared fresh. The service was good the lady at the window was really polite. I didn't feel rushed. I ordered the carne asada fries with everything and asked for their spiciest salsa. The presentation of the food was your average Styrofoam to go box and was a great portion. I liked how everything was distributed through the plate and not just blobs of sour cream in one section, guacamole in the other and pico in a part of it. A new taco place? Vamos! The restaurant was easy to find, it's right next to El Super. No problem finding parking either. Staff was friendly and the dining area was clean. I've been pretty disappointed with food out here being from the Bay Area. This place did NOT disappoint. I only spoke to one staff member and she was really nice and polite. All the other customers seemed to be very friendly with them as well. Nice Salsa bar, they got the spicy jalapeños and carrots, great music and the Mexican culture is all over the wall. I loved it! Wish they had a secret orange sauce but maybe they do I don't know. Wow, This is a hidden gem. I kept looking at the reviews I couldnt believe anyone could give this place TWO stars. Today we had fish, asada,al pastor, chicken tacos. Let me tell you my favorite tacos were the fish and asada tacos. The asada tacos have a hint of mesquite flavor so good. The fish tacos are bomb with just the right amount of seasonings. My hubby had the menudo which I tried a piece and it was just right. They have fresh aguas , jaritos guavas kids favorite and the owner gave us churros de cajeta. The churros are yummy. Very good food, the closest to authentic Mexican food that I have been able to find since moving from CA. That is in my area. The carne asada burrito was pretty large and they have a good variety of spicy and mild salsas at the salsa station. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND though bringing cash, because the negative reviews stating that they were charged more on their credit cards than what they were told at the register is true. Our order total was around $38.86 and I was charged $39.95 on my card. There are now signs anywhere that say you will be charged a credit card transaction fee either so I am unsure about the discrepancy in charges so next time I will only be paying with cash only. And if you do pay with card pay attention to your credit card statement to ensure you were not overcharged or double charged. read more
