Tip. Do not order one ala carte sope with a side order of rice and beans. It cost 11.99 for a combo platter with three sopes and a side of rice and beans. I got a small amount of beans for over four dollars! Here is the picture of what I was served when I asked for the to go container of beans. This cost me over 8 bucks. Bad mistake I never make again. I asked for the to go order of beans and got this little plate of beans 1/4 the amount I paid for.

It had been far too long since I had stopped in. The fried shrimp tacos were so good. The shrimp had been coarsely chopped after frying, so they didn't try to slide out of the tortillas. Nice crema on top. Rice & beans were tasty, and cold horchata is great on a hot day! A very satisfying lunch!

Holy guacamole! This place is the bomb! I did some mass ordering for my son and his buddies at the rehab that my son is staying. OMG.. the savory smells of the spices in the air. I ordered the birria quesadillas, asada torta, and some asada tacos. Bags of Mexican food deliciousness. The asada was spiced perfectly. Birria quesadillas in liquid, ooo la la. Muy deliciosas! This place was crowded Sunday afternoon and I need to do some reconnaissance on this area. Looks like there might be another restaurant and a bakery here in this strip mall. My taste buds needs to check it out. The folk working here are friendly and busy with packing in the patrons and cleaning up, making room for more. Next visit, check out the pozole!

A nice mexican sit down taqueria with all the usual favorite eats: tacos, enchiladas, tostada, posole, menudo, combo plates etc. I enjoyed two carne asada street tacos for under $5! (Had my own beverage). I really like how roomy the dining area is after you have placed your order at the counter. I'll be back to try the posole and menudo.

Stopped here on a rainy day around 4 PM for a afternoon snack for the kids. Out running around and doing stuff. First off this parking lot was packed. Lots of people coming in and out but there's so many other businesses I wasn't sure if tacos El Rey was actually busy or not. Not too busy. We haven't been here for a while as the last two visits the Carne Asada tacos were Way over cooked. Almost hard like jerky, and full of oil. As if they've been sitting on the grill for quite a few hours. They were so oily I figured that they were deep-fried beef. So taking a chance, hopefully these are fresh and delicious as they used to be when we first started coming here. What we ordered: Six Carnitas tacos Six Carne Asada taco As we were waiting for our to go order, plenty people came in and picked up some food. So yeah the place is kind of busy on a Sunday afternoon. The order took about 15 - 20 minutes. It was not bad considering how busy the place was. The tacos were much better this time. However, nothing like when we first started coming here years ago when the meat was fresh and tender.

Good food! Fast service! So yummy! Staff is nice! Will be back!!! Such a good place to get a quick bite to eat!

Enjoy the restaurant for its food and specials. Right in corner restaurant. Area was portrayed as sketch for new folks but it's worth it. Milanes de res is the best one in this city unless someone says otherwise. The guac and chips are delicious and so is the chips and salsa. Not watered down like some places I've seen practice lately which scares me. Even after grab a dulce from the bakery across the street.

Stopped in for a quick take away lunch. I over-ordered as I always do when I go to a new place...especially a new place that serves goat tacos! The goat tacos were wonderful, tender and tasty. And as I said I over-ordered. I ate the entire #1 combo of taco, torta and enchilada. It came with some of the best refried beans I have had in Reno. For my meat I chose the Asada. The small size of the bits of meat was taco perfection, almost like ground beef but not quite. Service was quick and I was in and out pretty quick even though the place was reasonably busy.

OMG... I ordered Pozole. It was the poorest bowl of Pozole I have ever had. I ate a bowl of hominy cause I was really hungry. Please view what they call pork meat in the bowl. It llooked like a chicken wing. I would not dare put a piece of that in my mouth. The one piece that looked like a chunk of pork literally looked like it was scraped off the side of the pan. But let me end on a positive note, the Michelada was delicious!

They refuse to serve tap water and only allow you to purchase water bottles (cheap, generic kind), which is ridiculous. They give you salsa, but you have to pay for chips. First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.

When we arrived, the staff kindly let us know they were a little short-staffed and that the kitchen might take longer than usual. We appreciated the heads-up and decided to stay anyway. Honestly, we barely noticed any delay at all. The first thing that stood out was how incredibly friendly and welcoming everyone was. We were seated promptly, and the service remained attentive throughout our visit. It was actually difficult to decide what to order because everything on the menu looked delicious! We started with the margarita tower, which was refreshing, fruity, and absolutely delicious. Even the complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. we couldn't stop eating them. For our main dishes, we shared the parrillada, which was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly, but the melted cheese was definitely a highlight. We also ordered pozole, birria, and flautas, and every single person at the table loved their meal. We practically cleaned every plate! My mother-in-law enjoyed the pozole so much that she ordered another one to take home. The restaurant itself was beautiful and very clean, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had an amazing dining experience. Great food, excellent drinks, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for having us, we'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area! (Sorry we were hungry and ate before taking any more pictures )
