I went the other day for a late lunch before class , the girl in the front was really nice , I ordered the flauta platter which is basically 2 fried tacos with rice and beans , the food took about 30-40 minutes to be ready . The flautas we're not crunchy , it was like they were made with flour tortillas, they were soft but not in a good way , the rice was dry and lacked flavor , the beans and guacamole were good tho . Overall , I think they need to change their recipe for corn tortillas or make them crispier , and add more seasoning to the rice . The red sauce taste nothing like enchilada sauce - it's like they opened a bottle of ketchup, poured it on top of corn tortillas with cheese. Another miss is their chile verde. My family loved this place for years. And then they remodeled and updated a couple of years ago. Not the same. It lost the entire atmosphere of authentic Mexico. Avid burrito lovers here. So we read some reviews and figured we should try this place out. Shouldn't have. We ordered 2 super meat burritos with chicken and chimichanga. We waited for the food to arrive for about 15 mins. While waiting, there was the sound of crunch crunch crunch everywhere, and it started driving me crazy. Never knew they would charge for chips. Some of us dont fancy chips but need it to drown the noise around us! Anyways Once food arrived, we noticed both burritos were poorly wrapped, so we tried our best to handle with care. However, my son's burrito started falling apart in 2 or 3 bites. Chicken is not white meat, and I had made sure prior to ordering that it is white meat. That was super disappointing. Meat also tasted old and weird. It was overall so bland that my husband was pouring habernaro sauce in every morsel to swallow the food. Ther3 were also HUGE chunks of onions in our food. I was hoping this place was going to be great after working up an appetite snowboarding wow was i wrong. When you walk in you are not greeted nicely and have to go to the counter to order then sit yourself down. You don't get complimentary chips and salsa you have to pay for them then take them to your table yourself. The plates ordered were: Chile Verde, steak plate, California burrito, fried whole fish, fried potato tacos in sauce. The rice on the plate looked old and greasy very dry, the beans were OK, both the meat plates were very soupy and lacked actual chunks of pork and steak. My daughter had the fish, so I had to try it to see if it was just me and my wife's plate to my surprise her fish was good. My sons burrito on the other hand was so bad the carne asada was very dry tasted like it'd been sitting for quite some time. The salsa for the chips was simply pico de gallo which it just chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime. The guacamole had no seasonings and needed salt at least. For the money we paid it would have been nice to get quality food. When our food came out it was served by the cooks in the back which is not a problem for me but when I asked for certain additions and refills there was a language barrier. This place is very busy be ready to wait in a line to order your food . There's a lot of tables and music is playing in the background. The poor quality is quite consistent because we kept going hoping for better. Stopped here for a takeout lunch during one of the days that I was working in the office. I've called in lunch before and the wait was out of control, so I felt pretty pleased that I was able to come pick up my lunch about ten minutes after I placed my order. I was super hungry so I decided to get the California fries sans sour cream. Fries were pretty good and HUGE for the price- a little over $10. I wasn't able to finish the whole order even after eating so much that I felt like I needed to be rolled out of my office. The quality of the meat was good (if a little sparse), but the fries were already a little soggy by the time I got them-which, to be honest, isn't too out of the ordinary when you consider how many wet toppings go on them. Meanwhile some employees who saw me waiting didnt acknowledge me or at least let me know someone would be with me to take my order.
