Pizza made from quality ingredients from Italy. The Roma rectangular pizzas are sooo good. Tight space and long waits plus hard to find parking makes this place more for pickup while another waits in car. A definite recommend.

The quality is out of this world. Im so excited that Dario from Dario's pizza is now teaming up too because the dedication to quality and taste will consistently be amazing. For what you're getting the prices are really fair in my opinion. It can seem steep to alot but you're not going to find this value is most basic pizzerias. And trust me...it is worth every penny. The heros are stuff and full of flavor. The pizza slices are huge packed with toppings. I highly recommend ordering on the app bc this place gets crazy and can get backed up.

Saw that this pizzeria in Mineola has been top ranked, not just in the city or state but nation so I decided to swing by to try it out myself! This place is known for their Roman style pizza which is similar to Sicilian. Therefore, I did not order the basic triangular shaped pizzas to try nor did I base my rating on their plain cheese slice. Upon walking in, I was greeted by one of the employees asking what I want. I asked which slice is the most popular and he told me the buffalo chicken Roman slice, barbecue Roman slice, and the burrata regular slice. Unfortunately, I only had room for one slice and I definitely wanted to try one of the Roman slices they had. There were so many choices I almost couldn't decide but the potato Roman slice called to me especially when it was topped with rosemary (my favorite!) At the cashier, I saw the frozen drinks and asked the lady what they were - one was piña colada and the other one was margarita. I ordered a piña colada, but after I paid they informed me that the piña colada was not ready and gave me a sample of the margarita to try to see if I was ok with it. I tried it and it wasn't like any other margarita I've tried. It tasted very refreshing since it was frozen and it was more lemony than margarita-y. I sat down at one of the 7-8 tables and began to enjoy my slice. It was very good and I've never seen potatoes on pizza before. I will definitely be back to try more Roman slices and the burrata regular slice since it looked very good behind the glass too. There is a restroom at this pizzeria and some diagonal parking in front which is also shared with the Mineola LIRR station.

Solid pizza. My third time coming here, but honestly the first two times I didn't get such great experiences with the pizza, maybe because I tried the really special slices. I didn't particularly enjoy one of the slices the staff recommended to me. I asked for something with more protein. He responded they all have protein and recommends me something that had so much onions and so little meat. Decided to stick to the basics this time and it was decent. The vodka sauce was creamy. Top it off with some cola and we have a solid meal.

Oh how I am so happy we finally tried the pizza here. I couldn't help myself. I had to try 3 slices. The potato slice was out of this world. Oh the satisfaction. I could eat this forever. The texture and flavor were incredible. The eggplant slice was a 4/5. And the veggie no cheese was also superb. The crust is the best I've ever had. This place hands down was the best pizza I've had. Service was great. Store was small but clean.

I want to give thanks, on this Thanksgiving. Hahaha. I love Taglio!

These two brothers are visiting someone in the hospital nearby and after that they're going to be making their first ever trip to Taglio. What can I say? Pizza was delicious! Great selection of different pizzas - reasonably priced, space is small so getting a table might be a bit difficult during peak meal times. Service was pretty fast. You know it's good when you see local NYPD going in and out consistently getting their orders...

Best Roman style pizza in Long Island hands down. Great selection of toppings so you're able to try different variations each visit. They offer all by the slice which is the best aspect. The dough is perfect with a light crunch. Service is friendly yet quick just how a pizzeria should be. Far as ambiance, it's just like all other pizzerias, but very clean. Situated next to a hospital and the Mineola train station so be prepared during peak times such as lunch and dinner hours to expect a line. Meter parking all around and it's a hit or miss. The few times I went, I was able to find a spot within three minutes.

WOW. I've been dying to try this pizza for awhile. I happen to be in Manola today so I figured I have to go. It lives up to all the hype. I tried the Margherita , regular slice, pesto/vodka/margarita slice, and the grandma with pepperoni. All of it is insanely good. I wanna go back and try every single slice they have. lol.

Tried to give it another chance. Walked in and thought I walked into a nightclub. The music was ridiculously loud, so loud that I couldn't hear myself speak. I felt bad for the older couple that was there. They looked very agitated while eating their slices because of it. Got a BBQ chicken slice which oddly looks exactly like another slice from another pizzeria but I won't name names because apparently it triggers cocky people. The sauce on the chicken is tasty but there was barely any mozzarella cheese and the chicken was inedible. It was burnt and overcooked because the chicken bits are so small. And AGAIN the bottom was charred, not even burnt this time.

Amazing find near the mineola train station! It appears to be a pizzeria in the middle of nowhere where. But it is a gem! When you walk in you see cartoon characters art work on one side, flour and tomato on the other, and a counter displaying many of the different pies they make in front. There is a line to order pies and a line to order slices. Was you approach the back you see the menu flashing across the screens. What to choose, what to choose. There are over 20 types of pies you can create. You can have it "Roman" style or round. Be a little healthy and order one of their salads! Don't forget to get a cold beer or one of the fun Frozen sangria or margaritas. Everything was delicious! You can't go wrong with whatever you order. Looking forward to coming back to try the parm plates or heros. Looks amazing!!!

WOW! This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Every slice was fresh, flavorful, and seriously delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is spot on - they balance a modern feel with TVs and great artwork, while still keeping that classic, casual "stop in for a slice and a Coke" pizza shop vibe. Clean space, great energy, and definitely worth going out of your way for. I'll be back for more!!!

Stopped in for lunch and I definitely don't regret it...pure deliciousness. This place is conveniently located just around the corner of Winthrop Hospital and LIRR Mineola (a short walk). I got a slice of their Vodka, and it was SO flavorful. I also got 2 knots which were good, but could use some more flavor in my opinion. The employees were also very kind. 10/10 recommend! Brand new, clean pizza spot just steps from the Mineola LIRR station and NYU Winthrop hospital. Stopped in around noon and while busy, not much of a wait at all to get your slice. This is not your average place to grab a slice. Upbeat music and lively art thrives in the space giving it an elevated feel. This all plays a secondary to their namesake pizza Taglio. A style from Rome that is cooked in rectangular pizza pans and leads to a thin and crispy crust, yet a soft and fluffy dough. Best of both worlds. This might not be for everyone but I throughly enjoyed it as a different type of experience. Additionally the guys behind the counter couldn't be friendlier or more positive about helping you. They truly care about their product! While not the best pizza out there, absolutely worth trying if you love experIencing different slices! read more

One star is too many!. Ordered Sicilian pie and slices of regular and slice with buffalo chicken...The pie was burnt on the bottom. So little sauce that I thought it must have been sprayed on. The cheese way way way too thin like a tissue! The regular slices were also burnt bottoms....I'll never buy there again and will tell everyone I know just how bad this was!!!!!!! read more

Wait time was quick. I got the Mortadella Pistacio Roman Slice and a pepperoni Roman style... both were great. The crust was tender but crispy, the overall quality was thumbs up. The ambiance is your typical pizza place, it was clean. I live in the area and will go back many times. read more

3 slices cost $19!!!!!!...but I'm not mad anymore after the first bite of the white slice! DEEEELICIOUS! The crust has a slight crisp to it, not too much just enough, and the ingredients are FRESH and higher quality! You can actually taste the different ingredients, the ricotta especially. Pies go for around $30 but I'm going to say worth every penny! read more

So I've been meaning to try Taglios for a really long time. I ordered the Roman margarita pie, and the regular Neapolitan pie, the buffalo chicken slices and the Meatball hero. 1. The Roman pizza- Akin to grandma pizza, yet much more substantial. The fresh basil and garlic satisfies even the most stubborn pallet. The dough was very light and airy. And the toppings were fresh as well. 2.Regular Round Pie - Surprisingly I felt that it was better than the Roman pie. An extremely thin crust, and the perfect melding of sauce and cheese creating one ingredient superb. Buffalo Chicken Slice- How can you go wrong with Roman style pizza, topped with the freshest buffalo chicken chunks. Really to die for. Meatball Parm hero- A perfect balance of seasoning and high quality meats. A go to sandwich if you seeking Italian comfort food. To Pete the Pizza Man- Kudos to you for treating my kids who attend kellenberg like royalty. Your graciousness and civility have not gone unnoticed along with the rest of ur wonderful staff. read more

Mozzarella sticks hand made and amazing!! We ate them in the car on the way home so there is no pictures. Roman style square pizza with small pepperoni was fantastic. Similar to prince st pizza but not quite as good. Didn't try the regular pizza yet but will add to the review as soon as I do. This place was very nice on the inside and their giant pizza ovens were impressive to look at. I will def try this place again soon. read more

We decided to try this on our pizza night this past Friday and are still working through the square Roman style pie they tout. I ordered over the phone and picked up. The parking situation there is hit or miss since it's right by the train station, but I got lucky and was able to get a spot right outside to run in and get my pies. I ordered the Roman style cheese with pepperoni and the Diavolo pie. Pepperoni was very good and topped with a bucket load of red little pepperoni circles. The Diavolo was very spicy littered with tons of cherry peppers and spicy soppressata. It had a big kick so careful if you can't handle that! The crust was probably good.. I say that because the pie was ordered 45 mins earlier and I specifically gave them the time I would pick up. I walked in about 2 mins after my given time, I have a feeling it was sitting for a few extra minutes... well what happens when a spongey bread is sitting in a covered hot steaming pizza box.... that's right! it gets soggy. So I didn't get the crunch some stay in diners are referring to and if I'm being honest, they should have kept the box cracked open an inch to let the steam escape. I'd rather have a warm crunchy pizza then the floppy hot one. Taste was good, have I had better well yes. But I like the idea and it was good enough I'll give them another pizza day. But I'll order one. The pizza's are big... as they should be it's definitely an expensive pizza night. Those two pies for $50! No drinks, sides nothing else. So far I didn't find it worth that much but again, I'd still try some other things. What we had was pretty good and seems to be feeding us still day 3! read more

Probably the best white pizza I have ever had but with the high prices and waiting 45 mins in store after the expected pick up time was up is something I won't do again. The kiss of death for any business is how to balance fame with high consumer demand and they haven't managed to do so. Unless I break out of the hospital down block early on a Tuesday afternoon during a snowstorm, I will find my pizza elsewhere !!! read more

EDIT: The business provided a very insightful comment in response to my review which explains the difference between pizza al Taglio which is served here and pizza al metro which is served at a couple pizzerias just I mentioned in my review. I recommend reading the response. I would rate Taglio three and a half stars. Taglio is the third Pizzeria that I know of that is offering Roman style pizza. The other two are King Umberto's and Sorrento's. Taglio has a wider variety of ready to go slices than the other one which suits mineola better since there are a lot of people quickly coming and going without time to wait for a new pie to be made. I liked the doughs at King Umberto's and Sorrento's more. I think the dough at the other two pizzerias is more airy, has more of a sourdough texture too it, and retains a better char and crisp. The dough at Taglio is more similar to a grandma slice. The pizzeria is very clean, with a spacious restroom, and plenty of seating. This place is perfect for families. The slice is priced a little less than $5. read more

The trek to find the best pizza in and around Long Island continues. Taglio makes a Roman slice which to me means an airy, light & crispy crust in the rectangular shape that the well known grandma slice looks like. This pizza is fresh, dough is definitely lighter and easier to eat but I was not really impressed by the regular slice I had with uninteresting red sauce & cheese. My second slice added slivers of beef & onion which complimented this added piece of pizza. Small pizza parlor with limited pedestrian style seating. Every worker was hustling and on point to keep the busy lunch traffic moving. Good parking around the corner at Mineola train station. I'd definitely come back for a different type of pie on another occasion but probably not soon. read more

This pizza is exceptional. Every slice is better period. I'm blown away by taste and the quality. Truly exceptional pizza that goes above and beyond. I gave this place a shot as it's fairly new and I'm glad that I did. With all the pizza places I've tried from Howard beach to Manhattan and Long Island I am impressed. Tried this today at the suggestion of those on the tri-state restaurant group on Facebook. My spinach and artichoke pizza was delish and crispy. Hubby liked his stuffed pizza with mortadella and also zucchini with artichokes. A little hard to find by the Mineola railroad but worth the trip. read more

The most "slept-on" pizzeria in Mineola. It's location is near the hospital/train station. There is an eclectic vibe/atmosphere inside, and the food is delicious. They offer a multitude of specialty slices, my personal favorite is grandma vodka. Give them a try! read more

The employee found it at the printer and began making it on the spot, only to then realize they were out of goat cheese, which for me is a main ingredient in the salad. I told them nevermind, which clearly annoyed him because he started putting the other ingredients in the bowl. I asked for a refund and was told it couldn't be processed in-store. He directed me to go through the app. After speaking to the manage and not getting anywhere, I left without a refund. I proceeded to go back and forth with Guest Relations for 10 days before my refund was issued. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

After getting the cauliflower rice base the employee started dousing my warm bowl in salad dressing. I quickly spoke up, since I had wanted my dressing on the side, and she took the bowl and moved it under the counter to try to selectively scoop only the parts of the cauliflower with the dressing into the garbage. I could hear my bowl literally hit the side of the garbage container. It grossed me out when she then tried to use the same bowl and just scoop in a bit more cauliflower rice to replace what she'd scooped out. I politely asked for a new bowl, and the idle male employee standing next to her started making facial expressions indicating that he thought I was being unreasonable. She ended up giving me a new bowl -- but then putting almost no cauliflower rice in it to "punish" me for not wanting a bowl that had touched the side of a garbage can. Keep in mind that my warm bowl with the cauliflower rice upcharge came to over $17. I will never frequent that particular Chopt again.

It took me a second, but I placed that it reminded me of a discontinued Entenmann's cake that I think was maple walnut iced cake. If you remember that and miss it then get this. I enjoyed this non-traditional version. Although not the best Mexican food I would come back here and perhaps try other items on the menu since it seems inventive, but I will keep my expectations in check because the execution doesn't always hit the mark.

The real star, though, was the pecan banana bread buttermilk pancakes. I was initially worried it would just be a lazy sprinkling of pecans on top, but I couldn't have been more wrong. She adjusted the bill to $35, but the total should have been less than that as well. Even then, the tax was still wrong. On top of that, they added a credit card fee without any notice. There was no sign, no mention on the menu, and no warning beforehand. The food was just as disappointing. The home fries were mushy and barely edible. Despite overcharging us more than once, our server NEVER APOLOGIZED! Hidden fees, inaccurate charges, terrible service, and mediocre food--this place is a rip-off, and we definitely won't be back.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would! The pizza here is crispy to perfection--every bite is packed with flavor and cooked just right. You can tell they really care about quality, and it shows. The service? Top-notch. The young lady at the register was amazing--friendly, confident, and clearly knows what she's doing. I asked for a rundown of all the slices because there were just so many tempting options, and without hesitation, she gave me the full scoop. She knew every detail and made my decision so much easier (even though I wanted to try them all!). I recently visited this pizza place, drawn by the hype and their advertised vegan options. Upon arrival, I asked for vegan options, only to be disappointed when they told me they had none available. My kids wanted regular slices, but incredibly, they only had one slice left. Any decent pizza place would have promptly made a fresh pie, but not here. Wow, LI definitely has an overabundance of pizzarias but this place is really unique. Roman-style pizza is not what you are used to but in the best way possible. Airy, crisp crust and unique toppings make this place stand out from the crowd. You can tell that a lot of care is being put into the ingredients chosen and the pizza being produced.
