Samosa Chaat $6.99 for takeout. Comes with 2 samosas but I just photographed one. SO GOOD!

Are you fvckin serious? The price jump exponentially! It costs over $13 for Samosa Chaat and $18 for Butter Chicken (with tax). No matter how much I love their food, I'm not letting them price gouge me. These prices are way above market rate. What a way to lose customer!

the electrical system was just restored as I entered. was informed 30 minutes needed for the appliances to be warmed up. ordered at counter, paid. sat at 1 of 10ish tables available. watched the Bollywood movie while waiting for the food. only decor was food pics on the walls & the flatscreen... offerings: appetizers, wraps, vegetarian/meat curries, plates, sides, beverages, biryanis, breads. eats: tandoori mix grill (19.99) garlic naan & gravy -salmon was out so got a extra piece of lamb seekh kebob instead. -the 3 pieces of tandoori chicken were bright red, had no distinguishable taste. interior meat was dryish. -the 4 pieces of lamb seekh kebob were moist inside. taste wise didn't have much flavor. the green sauce was savory but the brown one was too sweet. -the gravy was masala, had a wonderful rich taste. -the thin garlic naan was greasy from the ghee, also was yummy. 3.5 stars the tandoori mix was off, the naan, chai, and masala was SPOT ON! chai (1.99) -very flavorful, strong chai, skipped the sugar as usual leftovers: -lots of parking in da lot.

Love the food here! Prepare to wait, and it's okay! It will be worth it! Always my choice for Indian food. The service is great! Staff is very kind and courteous. OMG! And the garlic Naan! Amazing!

I'm surprised to see this place being rated so low. Our favorite go to spot increased in their prices and decreased the portion sizes. We wanted bigger bangs for our bucks since we got two hungry teenagers to feed. I decided to check this place out. The curry that we ordered had so much meat and I think it was around $12(with taxes). I forgot to take pics; we were too hungry and dug right in. The food was really good. My family and I love Indian food, so this will become our go to spot. Service was also awesome!

The service was pathetic water was not served not even once,, there was a huge lack in terms of cleanliness (u can see the pic of napkin dispenser) dahi papdi was too much of sweet yogurt same story goes for paneer tikka masala it was hella sweet that i couldn't finish it garlic naan was good though

I went to an event in the Fremont area and was craving some Gol Gappe/Pani Puri. I came across Taj-e-chaat on yelp. They're open till 10:30 so my sister and I decided to stop by. We ordered pani puri and Papri Chaat. The Pani for the pani poori was one of the best I have had. The papri chaat was good but it was a bit sweet. There was too much sugar in the yogurt. I also had to add the green chutney myself and wish there was some onions in there. Anyways, overall I thought whatever we ordered was pretty tasty. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in the area to try more of their food. Side note : the bathrooms could use some upkeep. Granted it was the end of the day, the bathroom smelled pretty bad and wasn't clean.

I just found a cockroach in the Choley Bhature i just got from TAJ-E-CHAAT

It's just a little cold in there for some reason. We started with a watermelon spritz and the inji-puli lotus appetizer since we'd never tried anything like that, and it was very yummy and had such a nice crispy but soft texture. It was also a good portion for all four of us. We got the goat curry and the chettinad spice vegetables, and a few parathas to share. We were afraid it wouldn't be enough but the parathas are actually very filling, and also have a really great texture of both crispy and soft, and delicious flavor. The curries were good, could have used a bit more salt but good spice. The stars of the show were the desserts - this deserves its own section because omg I'm still thinking about the desserts!!! We got the gulab jamun brûlée - an amazingly well done take on creme brûlée with a perfect top, easy to crack and beautifully flavored. The filling was amazing and sweet and so so yummy. They also were kind enough to give us a complimentary chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing. I'm generally not too impressed by chocolate but the quality of this cake was phenomenal with perfect sweetness and richness. I need these two again !! Definitely recommend coming here for an occasion.

Casual fine dining. Decent seating, good for groups. Decent prices. ***FOOD: we tried a whole bunch of items- *crispy baby corn-3.5/5- very crispy with a sweet and tangy coating indicating liberal vinegar usage. *malai soy chaap: 3.5/5: excessive usage of malai(aka fat). Indulgent and decent enough for a small serving. *vellulli kaaram paneer-3/5- lacked salt. Paneer was softish but felt a bit chewy and hard in places. *black pepper mushroom curry- 4/5- this was my favorite dish that evening. The fragrant curry leaves, earthiness of the mushroom and the black pepper created an intoxicating combination. It was floating in excess oil but was lip smacking delicious. *chilli garlic Naan: 4.5/5: I normally don't rate naan as they are non descript but the version here was wonderful. Thin, not burnt on the downside and paired oh so well with the mushroom curry. *Egg biryani- 3.5/5- this was spicy rather than being flavorful. Since it was made with egg, I didn't mind the spice.

Lasuni Soya Chaap was flavorful, with generous amounts of garlic Chilli Garlic Naan was so good, that it didn't need another curry on the side. It was a novel idea and was a hit! Mushroom Pepper Fry was spicy but with pepper, the best way to spice things up! Enjoyed it. We also ordered Egg Biryani. It was so disappointing - very bland, both the rice and egg. Chili Paneer was just ok. Seemed like a tad bit extra ketchup Babycorn 65 was crispy and good too. The next time I come here, will max out on the appetizers, they seemed to be doing a great job. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
