Was craving quesabirria so we looked up options on door dash. Once we saw elote and esquite it was a done deal. We were even more excited to see they had oxtail options. The quesa tacos were so good! I stick to oxtail or birria. I tried bacon but was not a fan because it was too salty. The corn is really good. The menu is crazy with how many options they have available.
We got the 20 tacos for 20$ but it was added 10$ for asada! SUPER GREAT DEAL ! ALMOST 1$ per taco if you get asada and if you don't it's 1$ and you can choose up to around 3-4 meats if I remember correctly! You also can get free chips and sauces so that is a plus. Only reason why it's kind of low for me is because the meat was a bit dry for me. Even when putting a lot of sauce it just got dry. BUT .. amazing deal if you wanna try! You can't get tacos that cheap anymore Maybe it was a bad cook this time but I would definitely go back to retry!
We went for the first time my husband wanted to try the big taco and it is huge you can't bite it. I had the wet burrito it was excellent The seating was limited so we got ours to go. It's a little pricy but the menu is large lots to chose from. Be prepared to wait but it's worth it. They have outside seating also. The server was nice they have a setup where you can bag your own chips salsa and peppers. They have custom made drinks and sodas in the can . We will be back soon
My Mexican pizza was very delicious. It was a little soggy in the middle. I'm not sure what they need to do to make this better. It comes with a seasoned sauce to pour over. The sauce is missing spice. I recommend adding some some type spice to the sauce. I added chili peppers. I also would've preferred for the jalapeños to be roasted. I would definitely buy it again though.
Three taco giveaway on Cinco de Mayo! The place was Poppin. It was very kind of them to give away the tacos, I really enjoyed the tortillas they were quite soft and delicious. There was one taco that they made with a spicy sauce. It was very good.
We came during the month of march on a Tuesday as I saw an advertisement of $1 Taco Tuesday. We got there at 5pm, kind of early for dinner right, so not much people? Wrong. Lol There was a decent size line. Took about 15-20mins in line. Once we get to the front. We ordered and the guy says it will be at least an hour wait for the tacos. Whatttt. Well we already waited so long. Sure. Soon enough the place got packed. When we got our food and was eating, we hear people saying they are now announcing it is a 2 hour wait for tacos. Also, they messed up our order and it took an additional 30mins to get our correct order. It seemed a bit unorganized in there. I think it was just so many people. The sad part was that the food wasnt that good.... It was very mid. The steak was chewy and tough. The carnitas was big chunks. Barely cut up. The fish was over cooked. I am thinking with how busy it was, they lacked on the quality of the tacos. Sad.
Truly hidden gem in the bay area. Family meal from Taqueria Azteca, huge portion, perfect tacos, crispy golden fries, included salsa and tortillas chips all come in with amazing value. Highly recommeded!
This is one of our go to restaurants for authentic Mexican food. The flavors are very traditional and the portions are huge! The staff is very friendly and always wants to make sure to get your food out quickly and correctly. It does get pretty crowded, especially late night. Highly recommend the steak quesadilla or enchiladas.
I visited Taqueria Azteca in Dublin, CA [7155 Amador Plaza Rd] on Sunday, 01/25/26, around 6:30 PM. I decided to place a takeout order. I ordered one of the soup options - the PhoBirria with Short Rib. It included pho noodles, birria, short rib, sprouts, lime, cilantro, and onions. The soup was extremely delicious and flavorful. What I loved most was the tender short rib meat, along with the rich flavor of the broth and birria. The entire dish left me feeling full and completely satisfied. For about $25, it was worth every penny. The order took a while to prepare since it was during the dinner rush. It was a good thing that I called ahead because it took about 35 minutes for the order to be completed. The salsa bar area was also running a little low on a couple of the salsas. Overall, Taqueria Azteca offers wonderful food. I would definitely return again for the epic PhoBirria with Short Rib soup.
this place is so gross! the meat has no flavor, the pico has huge chunks of onion, the horchata is obviously powder mix and the chips are overcooked. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I came here to get lunch to go. My first time here. I asked the cashier what was their most popular and famous dish, he said Quesabirria with consome, so I said ok, I will try, one please. I tried it when I got home and it was indeed delicious. Three Quesabirria with console at $16.95 plus tax was almost $20. There were free chips and salsa that you can help yourselves to get. Overall, meal was delicious. I saw churros was on the menu, didn't get to order that yet, maybe next time.
These people are amazing!! I love them!! The service is always happy and friendly despite the long lines of people staring at them. I've been taking advantage of $20 for 20 tacos for the last couple weeks. Do not hesitate on getting food here come get it come get it now.
My second time here, I tried something very different. I've had a Birria pizza before elsewhere but now I got a carne asada. There are other choices of meats to choose from so I believe Birria is a choice here too. FYI I did ask for the jalapeños to be off Delicious...only 2 slices left for me to try the next day The Bao birria was different, good but not to the point I'd come back for more or put it on my must get list. It seems like you can order one or 5 that come with fries. I still have a few more items I want to try but it would probably be best to try it with a few people so I'll bring my girls next time. They are a small location though so don't bring a big party here. Small groups will enjoy their space. They have a kiosk to order on but I thought it was easier to order with the employee because I wanted to edit an item. Everyone pretty much likes ordering with the employee, I would see them hop on but go off when the employee was free to take orders. My wait wasn't long and the lady was kind enough to help assist me to the car with my order.

Came here because of the IG reels but wasn't impressed. First the place is small, there is some outdoor seating but not much. The customer service could use some work. The person taking our order looked absolutely miserable. The menu looked too busy and just overwhelming. The food mediocre, definitely more hype than taste. Nothing memorable. When I think of quesa birria this is what comes to mind. :) Friend of mine introduced me to this spot a few months ago, and I can't believe this whole time I've lived here I've never been here. Shame on me. OK on to the good stuff Parking: never had issue Staff: always friendly Food: Quesa birria w/the consume is the way to go!! Make sure to get some of their spicy salsa, will burn a new hole but damn it's worth it. I like their green salsa too, has the citrusy balance. Chips & Salsa come with your meal. They'll ask if you want it. Michelada: I get mine w/ Modelo. Comes w/ 3 grilled shrimp, some cucumbers, and a candy straw. Good balance of savory, tart, and bubbles from the beer. I always get one when I'm here. Carne Asada burrito: so unfortunately this one was a flop for us, the meat just tasted really old and hard, was a first for me. The business reached out to me about it though so I do appreciate that they are listening for feedback. I know it's not easy for small businesses right now and I'm always happy to support. I had been so curious and dying to try out this place. It's got so much traction on IG & the pics of the food look so amazing. So finally I made it! I can give you my honest opinion on the food, ambiance, service. Let me begin by saying that this place is a true Hole-in-the-wall place...NOTHING LUXURIOUS so don't expect nice & fancy. When you first walk in it's got the typical taqueria w/bench style sitting. You must walk up to the counter and order your food there. They give you a little slip w/your number once your order is done. The bathroom is way in the back, crowded & cluttered area to walk through. YOu literally walk through their kitchen & prep area. But if you don't mind that/ it's no big deal. Like I said not fancy...lol There's plenty of parking (shopping center type) Let's get to the most important thing....FOOD I decided to try the beef BIRRIA, their most popular entre. It's served very simple... the consome/meat in a bowl w/a small cilantro, onion & lime as condiments this order get you a choice of flour or corn tortillas...that's it-no rice no beans. I liked the Birria the broth was rich and flavorful. I did not get the bone like most pictures show...but I'm sure get if I asked o would get it...anyways... There is only "TWO" places that make super hood Birria this is one of them. The other one is in San San Jose(different restaurant not related to this one) I now have a2nd option for great Burria. I have seen this place many times and have been wanting to try their quesabirrias. My mom and I ordered each an order which comes with 3 and consomé. They just ok the meat was very tender but lacked flavor including the consomé. They were super soggy and fell completely apart when we tried to eat them. Overall they were just ok and a bit overpriced. They come with limes and roasted onions and semi roasted serranos my moms was soft and roasted mine wasn't that great. The chips are homemade and half were warm and crispy and the other have super soggy and stale. The salsas I tried them all and they were very good! To drink my mom had a pineapple agua fresca and I had a soda. She loved her agua fresca. We ordered quick since there was one other person there but it took long to get our food considering it wasn't busy. They have outdoor and indoor sitting. Overall I didn't love this place upon entering there was no menu on the wall just a piece of paper and it's once you get up to the counter you realize they have the menus there. The tables were all dirty and we wiped down ours as best we could. Not impressed I really wanted to love this place but just was ok. Will keep my search for quesabirrias in my area. read more
So so good! It's a small hole in the wall place that's been getting a lot of exposure on IG and TIkTok so I was a little hesitant to try it but I'm so glad we did. They have a really good size menu with lots of options. The Quesa Birria was so. Freaking. Good. Actually everything we had was great except the pico de gallo they have at their salsa bar. 4.6 stars Birria pho? Say what!! YES! I've been wanting to try birria pho for a while! It was delicious, so rich and tender that the bone fall right off the ribs. You have to order the Mexican Chorizo Pizza, it was so good and tasty! The salchipulpos- fries with the cute octopus hotdog were yummy! Who knew hotdogs and fries with some ketchup, sour, jalapeño, and hot sauce would be so good together?! The birria tacos were so flavorful and juicy when you dip them in the consome. Last but not least, the horchata with the whipped cream was so refreshing and delicious! @taqueriaaztecadublinca is definitely one of my new favorite taquerias! I've had my fill of latin flavors across California but I've never had Horchata with boba in it, and it was absolutely delicious. Taqueria Azteca has an endless amount of ways for you to enjoy Birria, like with grilled cheese. A savory cheesy flavorful spin on your childhood favorite. Birria Bao buns, tiny in size, full of flavor. Last but not least we of course have the short rib fall off the bone pho birra which honestly speaks for itself. Each dish is a delicious new way on classic dishes and me I was very happy to experience it all. Everything here in my opinion had such an amazing flavor with so much care put into each dish means you gotta your time enjoying it all. My post was flagged and taken down. So I'll keep writing this review until the owners accept the harsh reality of their food. Was recommended this restaurant from a co worker and wow was I disappointed. You already know a Mexican restaurant is 1 star when the chips are gross. Ordered 3 carne asada tacos- they were the worst I've ever had. No seasoning, meat was old and cold. Not even the salsa could rescue how bad they were. I ate one of three and threw the rest away. I normally take any meat left overs for my dogs. The meat was not even good enough for my dogs. Cost was 17$ for 3 tacos and a mineral water. I was really hoping to find a good Mexican place in the tri valley but nope. Oakland it is! read more
An okay spot in Dublin area, and it was good to see this little business busy and steady during rush hour. I went with my usual burrito, with asada. After getting chips and waiting about 10 minutes, I took my burrito to go. The burrito was okay, but I didn't quite like the large chunks of tomatoes in it. Nice little taqueria next to TLJ in REI - serving a variety of tacos and other Michoacán fare for a reasonable price. I tried the beef tongue (lengua) and lamb (barbacoa de borrego) tacos to make sure they were not overly-spicy, then ordered two each of the al pastor, carnitas (Michoacán style), and shredded beef (carne deshebrada con chile guajillo) for the family back home. The lamb was a bit on the greasy side but the lengua was perfect. Service was quick and friendly. The family enjoyed the other tacos I took home. We will stop by again when in the area. read more

I was waiting to try this place and finally decided to go on Monday afternoon. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Service was basic. Food was great ! I had my eye on a few things to try but it was too much food for us 5. We had the huge taco, barria ramen and this other platter with fries . We did not finish everything. Last night, I got caught up watching Warriors & MLB opening day on TV. Tried to get some Korean Chicken up the street but they close at 8 pm. Remembering, a Taco place that was a couple blocks away Taqueria Azteca. They were still open and pretty busy. Located in a strip center there was patio and indoor dining. Inside has two TV's. I ordered the following Tacos: Al Pastor 4 stars $4.25 Chorizo 3 stars Carnitas 3 stars Carne Asada 3 stars Fish 1.5 stars minuscule trace amount of fish $4.75 The tacos were just OK. For the first time trying. A little over priced & over hyped.. originally went because of Bay Area foodz but service wasn't that great. The complimentary salsa was not well had blended big chunks of tomato and chips were not fresh very stale. Burrito was packed with mostly rice and over all dry with no flavor little bit of meat for it being a regular birria burrito. Birria pho was the only thing kinda decent tasting. Great location with patio seating and friendly speedy staff! You stand in line and order at the register, cash accepted. We ordered 2 of the giants tacos. They were plenty enough for 2 people each taco and could stretch to 3 people sharing a taco. They cost about $30 each but kind of upset with amount of meat we got for the price we paid. Taco is filled with majority or rice and shredded lettuce. I regret not ordering the birria, we saw someone order the birria fries. read more

I love how I told them no onions and I get back to my hotel and see they put a crap ton of onions. I hadn't ate all day so I tried picking out all that I could from the first taco but the smell of the onions was too powerful that I just lost my appetite. Thanks for not following my order and having me starve yet again. Appreciate it! Was really hoping this would be my go to place since I work down the street and I decided to try new things around but I honestly don't feel like going back after this. Avoid!! They are not very sanitary!! I had been wanting to try this place for a while but was skeptical from seeing mixed reviews. I finally gave in and decided to give it a try today. I ordered takeout and got the carne asada super burrito. It was going great, it had enough toppings in the beginning but the meat was dry/overcooked. Once I got to almost half of the burrito the toppings were gone, it was mostly rice, some beans and barely any meat. Then when I was about to stop eating since I got full, I felt a crunch in my mouth I took it out and found the shell from a shrimp! DISGUSTING! so Unsanitary and possibly dangerous! Inside is decorated like a typical taqueria, but the variety of the food on the menu, gives this place a uniqueness not found at those places. Went there to try the giant taco, which we could not find on their busy menu. There's a large variety of items listed. We decided to try other interesting items. Place was crowded with a couple tables open. Took a bit of a wait to get our food, but it came out hot and fresh. Ate their tortilla chips from the salsa bar while waiting. They have a nice variety of sauces to choose from and some pico de gallo. That orange sauce tasted habanero based, and initially hot, but that heat grows to very hot. The portions are large, especially the torta Cubana. The green pozole was very salty. The enchiladas had some tasty and interesting items. Will come back to try the other unique items on their menu. Only been here a couple times but got the bean and cheese burrito this time and it was pretty darn good. Some of the salsas were great too. I will say the one thing I remembered is that the cheese is suuuuuper cheesy and sticky! Still quite good too! read more
