The space is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed brunch experience. The food was absolutely spectacular. The Dungeness crab omelette was truly out of this world--packed with generous amounts of fresh, juicy crab that was well worth the price. No fishy taste at all, just incredibly high-quality seafood done right. The ube latte (which you can request with coffee) was delicious and perfectly balanced. The hot honey chicken eggs Benedict was phenomenal--savory, sweet, and perfectly executed. And the Nutella bomb pancake? Simply amazing and a must-try. I guess this is better than coming on the weekend. The restaurant is quite Instagram worthy and has a modern chic cafe style. *Food: Everything on the menu looked good! After seeing a table nearby order the chicken croffle, I knew I had to order it. It tasted as good as it looked and I would 100% order it again. The chicken was super juicy and the croffle was freshly made. I also liked that there are some fruits on the side to make it a little healthy. I would pass on the ube latte. Tried a new spot today and was genuinely impressed. We've been to a handful of Thai fusion brunch places, and not many really stand out but this one did. It reminded me a bit of Lapisara in SF. Your whole party has to be there before you can be seated to be aware of that if your party is arriving separately. Parking wasn't too bad. There's a small lot in the back and street parking is available. They definitely know how to turn tables quickly, but it can feel like you're being rushed if you've been there for more than an hour which can be annoying when you're trying to enjoy a leisurely brunch. The place is super cute and their food was delicious. The Tom yum scramble had a nice flavor too it - I was worried it would be too overpowering or lemongrass forward. The yaki carbonara was so creamy and rich, definitely need an empty for this as it'll make you full fast. I find the croffle to be too dense. Because it's basically a croissant that's smushed down into a waffle, the layers make it difficult to cut through and, to me, it's a combination that doesn't work. What an absolute gem of a brunch spot in San Mateo - great ambiance, great food, and great service. They get busy on the weekends and don't take reservations, so definitely recommend either getting here early or be prepared to wait in line. If you like breakfast, you've got to try Taste & Glory in San Mateo. I stopped in near the end of the Sunday brunch hour yesterday with my son. The restaurant was nearly full... that's a good sign. The main dining room is open and well lighted... very welcoming. I did not try one of the pancake entrees but they looked tempting. I love omelets and scrambles, so I ordered the Double Meat Scramble. It was delicious. It features chicken apple sausage, Candian bacon, applewood smoked bacon and cheddar cheese. I know... that's three meats but I think the two bacons count as one. The potato side and salad were excellent complements to this tasty egg dish. My son ordered the crab cake Benedict. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff was personable and attentive... they definitely enhanced the dining experience. I would like to see Taste & Glory work on their regular coffee, but my rating remains 5-star nonetheless. I will return. read more

It's fine. If you're a tea drinker, this may be the place for you. If you're a coffee drinker, find somewhere else, you won't really find it here. The food seems very reliant on one feature. For example: I got the crème brûlée French toast. The crème brûlée was good, but the French toast itself was dry and no different than what one could make at home. I left pretty hungry still. I debated on ordering a side of eggs or bacon, but it was $5 each! A little much for a side dish. Service was mediocre, the servers are either stretched too thin or don't know how to handle the number of tables they have. We showed up at 10:30ish for breakfast on a Sunday, and waited only 5 minutes and it was not very busy for brunch. However when we left there was a long line outside. I finally got to try out this place on a weekday so it wasn't so busy. We waited about 15 mins a before being seated. First and foremost, it was a hot day ~92 degrees, it could be felt inside the restaurant. They need to help boost their AC or manage to keep the cool air from escaping the front door, it was way too warm and it made it uncomfortable to eat. We just wanted to quickly eat and go because of the temp. I usually go for the chicken and waffle for brunch places and the presentation look great , the practically of the dish fell short. The fried chicken was over fried with parts being overcooked, but it surprisingly did not make the chicken dry. They dusted the plate with graham crackers around the rim that just made a mess on the table after trying to cut the chicken and croffle. The croffle itself was extremely hard to cut with the knife. Instead of cutting it, I had to rip it apart because it was dense. They had a nice sweet chili sauce that paired well with the dish. My wife got the crab cake Benedict that was delicious. It came with an unusual side of sweet potato tater tots that I thought was good. I don't normally see sweet potato in tater form, it will be a new recipe in my kitchen! Overall, there were parts of the restaurant that I enjoyed, the interior decoration had a nice modern vibe and color scheme, the crab cake Benedict was good. When we called her over to take our order she didn't speak, she just stood next to the table in silence holding a notepad and pen. Not a hello, or what can i start you with. Just dead silence. The crab flavor is strong. The udon carbonara is good as well if you're craving something creamy and rich. I love the drinks here too. Saw a line as we drove by so I dropped off my fiancé so he could get in line. It's on the corner of El Camino, and the side street that it's on is pretty full, parking wise. There's a parking lot directly behind the restaurant for customers but that was also full. The side street on the other side of the block and block behind it had plenty of parking. Arrived at 11am, line ~8 people deep outside (inside has space for 2-4 ppl to wait- next party to get seated). Line moved pretty fast, waited 15 mins. Staff is super friendly and checks on you often enough, despite being quite busy. By 11:30 there was no more line with 2 tables of 4 free. When we left at 12 the lunch rush arrived so the line was longer than when we had arrived. Food and drinks came swiftly enough. Hot chocolate and ube latte were delicious. Really hit the spot on a cold day. Steak and eggs were tasty as well - ribeye steak was cooked medium rare (per request) and was tender and flavorful. Parmesan fries were also good. Tom yum scramble was tasty and a good fusion dish. I requested no onions, I found one small stray piece of onion, not a big deal for me since not allergy based request. Served hot and had good Tom yum flavor. Thai Tea French toast was good. It wasn't too sweet but you could still taste Thai tea in the "syrup".
