A group of us went to check Tasty Pot out and it was undoubtedly such a very good lunch option especially on a cold, rainy winter day! There were many hot pot styles that you can pick from. Or..you can choose to pick your own a la carte items of what you want for the hot pot as well! I went with the Taiwanese Supreme hot pot..because...hey..it was a Taiwanese hotpot shop. And..I was not disappointed! The spice level option was wonderful (I think I picked the second spiciest option they had) and it was such a good cure for the cold weather outside! The coconut matcha with an addition of brown sugar crystal boba was also great! I loved how I could customize its sweetness to my liking as well! Now that I had been here, I definitely would love to come back here again, especially when its so cold or when I feel a little under the weather! The hot and spiciness of the soupt makes this such a great option to eat!

Can't say enough about this location. I enjoy the experience, the foods the customer service. They never let your drink hit the empty spot. Tasty Pot is always a hit, especially now that winter is here! We were seated right away and served with water immediately. Our service is a hit or miss; we've been here several times now and it's usually really great or not. This time was great! They just updated their menu to be more organized and I think it works out better. We always get the Taiwanese Supreme and Curry pot and it never disappoints. Note that the Taiwanese Supreme is also slightly larger than their other hotpot. Overall place is spacious and they have those cool automatic servers that deliver drinks to your table. Kids love them! On top of that, they now have weekly Studio Ghibli showings which I think is awesome. If you ever need comforting hot soup, this is your place!

Teriyaki Sizzling Plate (smallest portions ever)

First time here and we ordered the sizzling teriyaki chicken. It came out with literally four pieces of broccoli and, as you can see in my photo, just a spoonful of chicken with a little that fell off. For $18, that's a crazy small portion. We mentioned it to the manager/owner and he was nice about it, even offered to bring an appetizer or anything else we needed. But honestly, we just wanted the meal we ordered and were pretty disappointed with what came out. He said that dish is measured to be 6oz of chicken and 150g of broccoli, but what we got wasn't even close. A spoonful of chicken isn't 6oz, and four tiny broccoli pieces aren't 150g. Our friend ordered the beef and broccoli, and their plate looked totally different with tons of meat and about 10-14 pieces of broccoli. On top of that, they do some kind of anime showings with reservation so our server was clearly trying to kick us out asking if "we were done". Chairs are comfy, that's really the only positive. There are much better places in town for much more reasonable prices.

Heard about the Studio Ghibli promo, so I wanted to check it out on a regular night to assess speed of service, since I read that was an issue during the first movie night. We arrived early on a Friday night, so no wait - but by 6, people were lining up. Despite the timely arrival, wait time was long. He got the ramen, I got the lamb hot pot, and it took more than 45 minutes for them to arrive at our table. Wish we'd had a heads up on the wait time... With broths ready to go and assembly being straightforward, I didn't expect to wait more than 20. Both dishes were served over a flame shielded by a small, square table. The broth was bubbling, so we snuffed the flames pretty immediately. I liked the lamb and veggies. Other ingredients were limited: two small clams, one piece of cuttlefish, one piece of tofu, and two tofu puffs. The two meatballs were larger but not my favorite, and by ordering udon, I expected it would replace the vermicelli rather than be served in addition to it as a side dish. He liked the ramen but didn't think it was spicy, even though he ordered 3 on a scale of 0 through 4. I'm usually a wimp when it comes to spice tolerance, but I sampled his broth, and it was pretty mild. I'll note here that after sampling his broth, I can say with certainty that it was superior to the lamb hot pot broth in every regard. Would return but not for the hot pot. For $23, the broth should've been the star. Robot server was cute but confused. Staff were friendly and worked hard. Lovely decor. Room for improvement but good business model overall.

My hubby wanted to try something new. We found the Tasty Pot. We have not been to anything like this before. The bottom line is the food and service were great. We ordered the Thai hot soup bowl and the House hot plate. We shared both. We also had fried dumplings to start. Everything was great. Very tasty and served hot!! It's setup as modern city Asian. It's really cute and fun. The servers were all friendly and answered all our questions. We also enjoyed the robot delivering our drinks. Good fun.

Absolutely bangin! So, I have a soy allergy which is very annoying, so I hesitated coming here because I figured all of the broths would be off limits to me, but I was wrong! All broth options were safe which was such a relief. I absolutely loved the ambiance, along with the seemingly unlimited options when you build your own bowl. It is a bit pricey, but I think you are paying for not only the food but the experience. They have hot pot, sizzling plates and boba. I went with a build your own bowl and Vietnamese coffee which were both so flavorful and delicious. I have never experienced an individualized hot pot, and wasn't sure what to expect but it was so hot and fresh! They have robot waiters for the drinks, which is a very interesting gimmick! I will be back :)

EDIT: IT IS 4AM AND WE ARE VIOLENTLY ILL FROM THIS PLACE FROM SUSPECTED FOOD POISONING I WILL BE CALLING THE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT Drove over an hour to have some hot pot at Zu Hot Pot and they were closed for no apparent reason. Decided to try out tasty pot instead, arrived at 8:45 and was told no more ordering in so we were forced to order to go. No one handed us a menu and they looked annoyed. We took our food to go and ate it outside in the cold in front of firehouse subs meanwhile there were still many guests inside eating. So if you want rude customer service that shuts down like the McDonald's ice cream machine is down and you want to eat your food at firehouse subs outside tables, next door in the cold then you'll love this place!!! I've worked in the restaurant business for many years long ago and have never been treated horribly. Idk if a restaurant with this lack of work ethic will stay in business especially in this economy.

We stopped by late afternoon on Saturday. It was our first time here and we're hot pot fans. There was ample parking and nice wide spots. The interior was highly decorated for lunar new year, but over all there is a nice modern feel to the spot. We spent over $100 before tip ordering a few apps, 2 hot pot bowls and 2 drinks, but went wild with extras. But if you just go in for the bowls, I would say it's a good deal as the pre design bowls do give you enough protein and veggies compared to other places for the price. They do offer more broth in your bowl if you're running low while you're eating. Flavor wise, the broths were really good. My girlfriend got mini wonton bowl with extras and I got the Taiwanese supreme. The cucumber salad was really lacking in flavor, probably wouldn't order it again. Service was kind of slow in the beginning, we got our tea drinks and food before we got waters. Minus that, everything was great, other wise I would go 5 stars. We will definitely be back!

Got the seafood pot and was not disappointed (if you really love all of the seafood). I appreciate the heat volume option (very hot was decently hot). Kimchi was very good. Service was fun, attentive staff & the robot is so fun. But since we'd already paid I feel like we were forgotten at the close (must have asked for to go container 7 times). The space is a strip mall place but inside is very cute. Had both basketball and hockey on the tvs. We wanted to sub tofu for a meat, which we couldn't figure out on the app (scan QR code to order at table) but the staff was very helpful and took care of it separately.

My husband and I took our two very young children here for my birthday dinner recently. We were nervous because we've never had hot pot before and didn't know how it was going to go with our kids. They can be a handful at times. However the service and food went above and beyond all our expectations. The servers were attentive, nice, and answered all of our questions. The owners even stopped by our table to check on us during our meal. A woman I believe to be one of the owners, came by tables with small children and gave them little treats to keep them busy so parents could enjoy their meal. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture and we really appreciated it. Food was exceptional we got the fried dumpling appetizer, Kimchi Dumpling and Sichuan hotpot's, and one kids hotpot. We got vermicelli noodles and a side of rice for our hotpot's and instant noodles for the kids. Next time we come I think we will upgrade and get the instant noodles for all our hotpot's. It was our families favorite of the three. We also ordered boba which was also delicious and great at taming the spice from the hotpot's as well. Everything about this place was exceptional. We will definitely be back and recommending this place to others as well. read more

What a pleasant surprise! This location has only been open for about 6 months (at the time of this review). We stopped in, on the spur of the moment, just to check it out. It's located on Academy across from Walmart and Smiths. After chatting with Sophie (who is the owner), we ended up staying. Note: Sophie explained that "Taiwanese" food is NOT the same as "Thai" food. So, if you have never tried "Taiwanese", this is your chance. Everyone at this location is friendly and helpful. They are happy to answer questions and explain items on the menu. They make you feel so appreciated and welcomed. The entrees are served in a bowl sitting on top of an open flame. (This can be adjusted by a lever beneath the serving basket.) So no lukewarm food here. You can also choose from several different spicy levels. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. You can "customize" your order as well. They are happy to remove items you may not want from what you order. It is clear that they have set a very high standard for their food prep and for their staff. We stopped by for lunch and it wasn't that busy. They told us that they currently have more of a dinner crowd. I would highly suggest you stop by for lunch if you want a quick, easy visit. We will definitely be going back! read more

I liked it a lot! I think a major issue is that all the flavors do tend to combine together, but I really enjoyed my meal. I got the thai seafood, it was hard to eat the crab but I really enjoyed the different fish balls and seafood bits. My dad got something more traditional and his broth wasn't as tasty, it was just salty like some of the other reviews. And he had a real issue with the flavor just melding together and not tasting like much, which for me was fine because the thai kind of broth was delicious. So I'm a bit torn between 3 or 4 stars. I would go back, but I don't think my father would. So for me it's 4 stars, but based on how my Dad liked his food I'm putting 3. read more

I cannot begin to explain how much I love this place. Zu Hot Pot is usually my go-to soup noodle spot (if you know, you know) and I was interested in trying Tasty Pot out after seeing pics on IG. Let. Me. Tell. YOU. I will 1000000% be back. I got the lamb soup pot, medium spice level, add egg and instant noodles, with a side of rice. My only error was ordering the additional noodles - I could not finish it all. TRUST the Tasty Pot peeps, when they mean the "regular size" soup is large, they mean it. I can't even imagine what the larger soups are like, but probably good for family style. The flavors...oh my god the flavors...I really don't know how to explain it. But it was so delicious that I forgot for a second that we're in a heat dome and I probably should not be eating hot soup. But the love of soup noodles knows no bounds (again...if you know, YOU KNOW). My favorite bites were a little bit of eggy rice on the soup spoon with broth, a bit of meat, and some veggies. Absolutely delicious. AND they refill your broth if it looks like you're running low...I was in heaven. I also got a passion fruit green tea with bursting lychee boba. The cherry on top, if you will. PLEASE Albuquerque do NOT let this place down. You will not be disappointed, there is such great variety and the entire staff was very kind and attentive without being overly so. Tasty Pot, shine on. Will absolutely return to try more soups! read more

Very very very disappointed. First time I came by was for the Taiwanese basil fried chicken. The oil it was fried in was not clean and had a chemical taste to it which resulted in the chicken having a bitter taste. This is not how this is supposed to taste like. Second my family came by to try the seafood/lobster pot. From the moment the pot was brought out, there was a really bad smell of seafood not being fresh. Upon eating some of the seafood, it also didnt taste fresh. Really disappointing as I am from a Taiwanese background and there are very few places like this that can be found in ABQ. Been here a total of two times and they have struck out both times. read more

Absolutely ALL the Yelp stars. Okay, I'll sum up the simple stuff before getting to what truly blew me away. The food is great. There are a couple good options for pescatarians like myself: a veggie pot and a seafood pot. My husband and I shared the seafood hot pot Thai style and it was ample food for the two of us with seafood and veggies galore. The Taro boba was yummy and I love that they offer it in lower sugar options. Mozzarella sticks, cucumber salad, takoyaki are all solid appetizer options and good for sharing as well. Our fave was the cucumber. We got here right at opening and several tables were already filled. Now for what made our experience out of this world. Listen, I've dined in restaurants that have costed me $200 a plate and have never received the level of service that we had here tonight. After a recent meal here, my daughter has declared Tasty Pot to be her favorite restaurant in town. She came home after her dad took her here telling us all about the boba delivering robotic cat. Today was her 10th birthday and her only request was to have dinner here with her family. Her father inquired with the server about desserts but we were informed they don't have any. Y'all... the staff here is beyond kind and surprised us all with the sweetest deed... you know what these kind souls did for my girl?! They asked her favorite color (blue) and ran over to the Smiths across the lot and bought her a cake with blue frosting, balloon details, and a "Happy Birthday" scribbled across it with a balloon to match. They all came over to sing to her - INCLUDING THE CAT!!! A man who I presume to be the owner also came over to our table and wished her a happy birthday. My daughter is very shy, but the first thing she did after leaving was to call her best friends and tell them how amazing it was. I mean really, talk about going above and beyond. Thank you to the owner and staff at Tasty Pot for what you did for my little girl tonight. You all made her feel SO special and I cried happy tears on the drive home. She will always remember this night and you've earned customers for life. read more

Well, I broke my own rule and went to a restaurant that hasn't been open for more than three months and I think I paid the price literally. The ambience is good, the service is very good, but the food was mediocre at best. We had several appetizers and a main course, and it was very lackluster, and quite frankly didn't taste very good. None of it tasted very good. I might go back, but I'll give it a few months. I was so disappointed because part of the reason I went was the robot that delivered the appetizers and the robot never showed up at our table. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant. I've been in twice and both times, the staff were kind, informative, and efficient. The service was a bit slow the second time, but there were lots of people in the restaurant. The food is delicious, flavorful, and we'll prepared! The broth of the beef hot soup is so flavorful and perfectly spicy. My favorite is the kimchi dumpling soup and the strawberry lychee fruit tea. I love the vibe of the restaurant; my only complaint would be that the tables are a bit too close together, I feel uncomfortable eating and moving around so close to people. Went last week. Understaffed, so our server finished a drink before sitting us. Food was good! We got the Beef, and the Kimchi Dumpling. Very spicy is very spicy so watch out! We ordered with our phones which was cool- until there were missing ingredients to take out. Because of this, we ultimately ordered with our server who was extremely friendly and attentive, but wasn't super familiar with the menu because she was new. Clearly they need more training and trials of the food they're serving. Anyways, we check out with her, and leave a cash tip. She puts it in a big jar, so I ask if she's getting the tip. She says no- it goes to management. Hopefully they're getting paid at least $20 an hour because that's a typical serving hourly with tips and wage. I also don't appreciate it as a customer- it felt highly deceptive. To top it off, one of the managers or owners came by to talk to us for a long time. It was a bit awkward, especially now considering what he's doing to employees. Felt like they were robbing me. Why am I tipping if it isn't for the service provided going TO the service? I cam to visit the new open location in Albuquerque. There wasn't waitlist visible anywhere for sign in, no hosted, no one taking name or sign in. There was one cashier just sitting at the counter, looking like he hate his life. Then, I walked up to him asking for a sign up sheet he didn't know where it was and had to find it. We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Hello, I had a great experience at Tasty Pot in Albuquerque recently. I ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Supreme Pot and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. I especially enjoyed the shrimp, beef, and tofu. The service was also excellent. We ordered the Kimchi Hot Pot and the Bulgogi Udon Noodles, and both delivered big on flavor. I wanted to provide an update now that we have visited TastyPot about six times since my initial review. It completely blew my mind the first time we went, both for the food quality and the service, but I can now attest that the food quality is consistently excellent every single time. It is well worth the drive across town for us. More than anything, the service is top-notch. Every person in the restaurant is dedicated to providing amazing customer service. All the employees take care of the tables regardless of what you need, and they genuinely make conversation with the customers. When the staff recognizes you and welcomes you back, it shows they really pay attention. They continue to set the bar high. read more

Menu was very descriptive and it was easy to add additional toppings that we wanted to the soup pot. Servers were very attendant and made sure we had a great time. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool and the kitty robot serving the drinks was the first I've ever seen. read more
