    CB10. Sesame Chicken lunch special
    Britt O.

Yum! This is exactly what I was looking for. Nostalgic sesame chicken meal with pork fried rice. This was the lunch combo, so $14.99, or about $16 with tax. The menu says if you dine in the meal also comes with soup, but I got this to go. There are several other patrons there. Very friendly service the area surrounding the restaurant is a little dull, but I did walk around and check out the various medical and dental clinics in the complex. There's also a barbershop and dog grooming studio as well as a Pilates studio. I would love to see a coffee shop come to this shopping complex anyway back to Teagarden. This is a trusted and true establishment and you really can't go wrong here.

Every time I drive out this way I have to stop by and take some to go. I haven't had a bad dish here everything I've had so far has been amazing. Very flavorful and the chowmein is not greasy at all. The fried rice is great. Very consistent on the plates it's always the same every time. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself is always clean and quiet. Would recommend this every time to anyone who wants good Chinese food. Thank you !

We've been going to Tea Garden for so long at this point they know us by name, which honestly says everything. This is easily our neighborhood go-to for Chinese food because the food is always fast, consistently good, and somehow still hits every single time. Our regular order is pretty much set in stone now. The barbecue pork chow mein is always a must, along with the salt and pepper wings and salt and pepper shrimp, both with no jalapeños, but the real secret is making sure you get that little onion mixture with them because it completely makes the dish. The wontons are also so good, although honestly I might like them even better the next day straight from the fridge and you really can't go wrong with either the honey walnut or orange chicken sauce on the side. Everyone there is always super friendly, and the restaurant itself is consistently clean, which I always notice. Helpful tip: If you order the salt and pepper dishes, don't skip the onion mixture. That's the best part. It's one of those places that's become part of our routine over the years, and we still leave happy every single time.

This is our new go to Chinese restaurant around EG. They serve combos all day, food is fresh and yummy and servers are very attentive. Food portions huge, so you always have leftovers for the next day.

A solid Chinese restaurant located in Elk Grove. After 1.5 weeks in Korea, I craved for some good Chinese food. We ordered beef Hong Kong style chow mein, tofu with mushrooms and salt & pepper spareribs. Food came out quickly. Food was good. Good portions. Servers were attentive.

Loved their "Tea Garden" wall mural!

We rarely eat Chinese food & go figure my wife is Chinese but bc I came down with a virus earlier this week my wife wanted to pick up some wonton soup for me. She decided upon Tea Garden which is pretty close to where we live. I remembered even my niece picking up food from here ages ago for a potluck we attended awhile ago. The food was decent. My wife came here pretty much when they first opened. She ordered from Ericka who was very pleasant & helpful, wor wonton soup, potstickers & not spicy mapo tofu. I scarfed up that soup on the first day. It was chef's kiss containing multiple wontons, Napa cabbage, shrimp, chasu & chicken. It was pretty hot in the plastic container however so have to be careful! The potstickers outside wrapper looked a little weird like empanadas but tasted fine. Mapo Tofu was good with the brown rice my wife made for me at home. It could have had a little more spice to it so I took care of that myself! Other than that my wife said she hardly had a wait so service was excellent & the restaurant was clean & beautiful with the tea garden mural which reminded my wife of her artistic dad. So Lovely!!! It was the perfect art for Tea Garden restaurant. My wife can't believe we finally tried it after being in EG for over 30 years. Yes but we don't eat out as much as we used to. Better to cook at home & eat whole foods. So this may be a rare visit but at least it's an option for me bc my wife's diet is so much more strict. At least we know where to go for wor wonton soup! My wife noticed they had quite a few veggie dishes too. So I'm sure we will be back. This is one of those small local businesses that you would like to support. My wife even saw a Yelp picture from 11 years ago!!! Wowza!

The food and service were great! I ordered the lemon chicken dinner combo and fried wontons.

    Christine B.

Service was good. The food all came out hot and fresh. My favorite dish was the fried green beans and shrimp. It's got a chill vibe just a nice local Chinese spot.

We had family dinner for my aunts birthday and she wanted to try this place out. I heard a rumor that it was the second Restaurant of the original tealicious on Freeport, but they recently sold licious. I personally love Tealicous. They are always so very busy, so don't expect customer service there, just great food. Licious has the exact opposite, great service and okay food. We ordered the following: Szechuan green beans- cooked perfectly with a crunch still. Lacked flavor- not spicy. Fish and tofu clay pot- the fish tasted sweet, oddly. The fried tofu was perfect. Juicy and soft, Beef short ribs skillet- very fatty. You are paying for fat. Maybe it was a bad day. Tiger prawns with pumpkin- it is battered with salted egg, but it's not that salty. I wish it was saltier because I love salted egg. Battered and fried perfectly!!! The Tiger prawns are HUGE!!!!!! I've never eaten such big prawns in my life. The pumpkin was so soft and sweet with the perfect crunch from the salted egg batter. IT JUST NEEDED MORE SALT. Lots of pumpkin! Lobster- lacked flavor and was a very small lobster with not a lot of meat. Salt and pepper fried tofu for appetizer- yummy yummy. Perfect. Whole roasted duck- flavor was perfect, but the skin texture was stale. It wasn't like how it tastes at Tealicious. I don't know why the skin wasn't crunchy. Shrimp and egg chow fun- lacked flavor and too wet. Service was amazing for our two tables total of 18. They kept checking on us and even packed all of our food. There were two servers and only 3 other small tables with ours. The restaurant is quite small and is only for up to I believe 35 people on Theo occupant load signage. I would come back if I craved the Tiger prawns with pumpkin, but nothing else we tried. Maybe I'll try the fried rice next time and do an updated review.

Either way, they are lightening fast and you can always Dash. I was feeling late night snacks so I got sweet-n-sour shrimp (my fave), salt-n-pepper wings (bc why not), and Mandarin chicken because the photos looked so good. Here's my opinion. Shrimp was perf. I love when they are straight and tailess with puffy/crunchy batter, the serving was legit too. The wings were yummy but a once in a while thing I would order if you ask me. The batter is thick and super crisp like a shell and so salty and flavorful in a good way. Came with lots of onions and jalapeños as it should and they chicken itself had a nice almost garlic marinated flavor. The chicken itself was piping hot and the best part. Just 'a lot' to eat-eat for a dinner. The Mandarin chicken was my least favorite just because it was a bit sweet for my liking. The upside is all their chicken this style is always big juicy all white breast meat chunks, nothing unrecognizable. My boys loved it, me not so much due to sweetness and being bready. All in all I still love this place and it is consistently good. If you love orange chicken get that for sure. When I picked up it was a tad warm inside the restaurant. They had the back door open in the kitchen, and it was 103 as a high so it wasn't refreshing to sit down and eat there.

My mom had been here before with a couple of friends and enjoyed it. We were seated quickly, restaurant was moderately busy. I opted for a lunch order of orange chicken ($15.95), which came with vegetable chow mein and hot & sour soup (instead of rice for 95¢ extra). Soup was great, not too spicy. The real star was the orange chicken! It was a mix of dark and white meat, super crispy, and the orange sauce was plentiful with just the right amount of sweetness. The salt and pepper wings, along with the general chicken are pretty standard, nothing amazing. These are safe options that we get for my son. I know when we're hungry we would've ordered more but we didn't this time around. The waitress was really nice, always came to check on us and fill our drinks. The inside was cozy. Really enjoyed the wicker chandeliers and the overall aesthetics of the restaurant. I feel like this establishment is overpriced but again, with the items I ordered they're portioned generously. I will be coming back to try the other menu items that veer off the norm as I think it would be more reasonable price wise. Best DEAL for Dim Sum in Sacramento!…read more Be prepared for a LONG line! But honestly, for the price, I can see why this place is so popular. The restaurant was under its original owner, Nathan, for more than a decade before changing hands and shifting its focus to Chinese dim sum. They also switched from the traditional dim sum carts to a paper checklist menu: you just check off what you want and hand it to the server. Service: Friendly and efficient. Ambiance: Very casual and family-style. The décor is a little dated, with low ceilings. Definitely has that old-school mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall feel. Restroom: Decent and clean. Food: Overall, decent. Not the best dim sum I've had, but considering the prices, it's a pretty good deal. *Porridge: Good texture, but there wasn't much egg or meat in it. *Siu Mai & Har Gow: Tasty, but I wish the wrappers were thinner. *Chicken Feet & Bean Curd Skin Roll: Good flavor and nice and tender. *BBQ Pork Bun, Steamed Pork Bun & Custard Bun: Warm, fluffy, and enjoyable. *Egg Tart: Lightly sweet with a nice texture. *Supreme Soy Sauce Chow Mein: Too dry for me and almost no flavor. This was probably my least favorite. Overall, the food is decent, but the prices are the real winner here. If you don't mind waiting in line, this is a great option when you're craving dim sum without spending a lot!
