This is our new go to Chinese restaurant around EG. They serve combos all day, food is fresh and yummy and servers are very attentive. Food portions huge, so you always have leftovers for the next day.

A solid Chinese restaurant located in Elk Grove. After 1.5 weeks in Korea, I craved for some good Chinese food. We ordered beef Hong Kong style chow mein, tofu with mushrooms and salt & pepper spareribs. Food came out quickly. Food was good. Good portions. Servers were attentive.

Loved their "Tea Garden" wall mural!

We rarely eat Chinese food & go figure my wife is Chinese but bc I came down with a virus earlier this week my wife wanted to pick up some wonton soup for me. She decided upon Tea Garden which is pretty close to where we live. I remembered even my niece picking up food from here ages ago for a potluck we attended awhile ago. The food was decent. My wife came here pretty much when they first opened. She ordered from Ericka who was very pleasant & helpful, wor wonton soup, potstickers & not spicy mapo tofu. I scarfed up that soup on the first day. It was chef's kiss containing multiple wontons, Napa cabbage, shrimp, chasu & chicken. It was pretty hot in the plastic container however so have to be careful! The potstickers outside wrapper looked a little weird like empanadas but tasted fine. Mapo Tofu was good with the brown rice my wife made for me at home. It could have had a little more spice to it so I took care of that myself! Other than that my wife said she hardly had a wait so service was excellent & [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant was clean & beautiful with the tea garden mural which reminded my wife of her artistic dad. So Lovely!!! It was the perfect art for Tea Garden restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife can't believe we finally tried it after being in EG for over 30 years. Yes but we don't eat out as much as we used to. Better to cook at home & eat whole foods. So this may be a rare visit but at least it's an option for me bc my wife's diet is so much more strict. At least we know where to go for wor wonton soup! My wife noticed they had quite a few veggie dishes too. So I'm sure we will be back. This is one of those small local businesses that you would like to support. My wife even saw a Yelp picture from 11 years ago!!! Wowza!

The food and service were great! I ordered the lemon chicken dinner combo and fried wontons.

Service was good. The food all came out hot and fresh. My favorite dish was the fried green beans and shrimp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's got a chill vibe just a nice local Chinese spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What was supposed to be Mongolian beef. More like just onions

Ordered Mongolian beef to go. 95% was onions. Hardly any beef. Such a disappointment! Paid $22 for a bunch of sautéed onions.

I was close by at the hair salon with my lady when we decided to eat somewhere close by. She kept this gem hidden from me and I'm sad we didn't come sooner. I ordered the mandarin chicken combo plate which included soup of the day (hot & sour) best I've had, pork fried rice, and chow mein. The chow mein was not greasy but tasted great as did the rice. The mandarin chicken was also superb. The service was great ! Our waiter was attentive, kind, and very welcoming. I should have asked for a 2nd bowl of the soup it was so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There wasn't too many people but a large birthday party group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It felt really cozy inside and smelled amazing from all the different dishes being made.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be coming back with my lady when she gets her hair done so we can have this again.

The location and ambience: The Resturant is easy to locate and has plenty of parking. The atmosphere is average, nothing fancy. There are an ample number of booths and tables for patrons. Large group seating would probably be fine if the restaurant is not overly busy. We went before the dinner crowd, around 3:30 on a Friday and we were the only ones there, so we had our pick of booth or table. There were a couple of people that came in to pick up orders while we waited for our dinner. The Food: We ordered several entrees: two different plates: (1) Sweet and Sour Pork Plate and Egg Drop soup(2) Chicken with garlic sauce over rice; fried chicken appetizer; and a to go meal, Tofu with two types of mushrooms. The portions were large and the food was excellent. Waiting time was reasonable given what we ordered, also we were the only ones there. Our food was served hot, not lukewarm. Like I said the portions were large and we ended up with leftovers in addition to the To-Go Meal. I had my tofu and mushroom for dinner the next day and it was very tasty over rice. Service: Sever was friendly and refilled our drinks regularly throughout the course of eating. She answered questions we had about the menu items which helped us with choosing our meals. Our To Go Meal was ready when we were ready to leave and that was a nice surprise that we did not have to wait for it after we finished. Pricing: Individual and combination meal items are reasonably priced, but can add up quickly if you are hungry. There are a plethora of tasty choices on the menu, something for everyone. I plan to eat here again, or do take out. Recommendation: I definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner.

I heard a rumor that it was the second Restaurant of the original tealicious on Freeport, but they recently sold licious. I personally love Tealicous. They are always so very busy, so don't expect customer service there, just great food. Licious has the exact opposite, great service and okay food. We ordered the following: Szechuan green beans- cooked perfectly with a crunch still. Lacked flavor- not spicy. Fish and tofu clay pot- the fish tasted sweet, oddly. The fried tofu was perfect. Juicy and soft, Beef short ribs skillet- very fatty. You are paying for fat. Maybe it was a bad day. Tiger prawns with pumpkin- it is battered with salted egg, but it's not that salty. I wish it was saltier because I love salted egg. Battered and fried perfectly!!! The Tiger prawns are HUGE!!!!!! I've never eaten such big prawns in my life. The pumpkin was so soft and sweet with the perfect crunch from the salted egg batter. IT JUST NEEDED MORE SALT. Lots of pumpkin! Lobster- lacked flavor and was a very small lobster with not a lot of meat. Salt and pepper fried tofu for appetizer- yummy yummy. Perfect. Whole roasted duck- flavor was perfect, but the skin texture was stale. It wasn't like how it tastes at Tealicious. I don't know why the skin wasn't crunchy. Shrimp and egg chow fun- lacked flavor and too wet. Service was amazing for our two tables total of 18. They kept checking on us and even packed all of our food. There were two servers and only 3 other small tables with ours. The restaurant is quite small and is only for up to I believe 35 people on Theo occupant load signage. I would come back if I craved the Tiger prawns with pumpkin, but nothing else we tried. Maybe I'll try the fried rice next time and do an updated review.

My mom had been here before with a couple of friends and enjoyed it. We were seated quickly, restaurant was moderately busy. I opted for a lunch order of orange chicken ($15.95), which came with vegetable chow mein and hot & sour soup (instead of rice for 95¢ extra). Soup was great, not too spicy. The real star was the orange chicken! It was a mix of dark and white meat, super crispy, and the orange sauce was plentiful with just the right amount of sweetness. The salt and pepper wings, along with the general chicken are pretty standard, nothing amazing. These are safe options that we get for my son. I know when we're hungry we would've ordered more but we didn't this time around. The waitress was really nice, always came to check on us and fill our drinks. The inside was cozy. Really enjoyed the wicker chandeliers and the overall aesthetics of the restaurant. I feel like this establishment is overpriced but again, with the items I ordered they're portioned generously. I will be coming back to try the other menu items that veer off the norm as I think it would be more reasonable price wise. I would say check this establishment out for yourself and try out their items overall to see for yourself.

The elegant ambiance, exceptional customer service, and authentic flavors made this one of the most memorable Chinese dining experiences I've had in years. The last time I enjoyed Chinese food at this level was in San Francisco over 25 years ago. Every dish arrived fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with authentic flavor. **The Chow Mein** had incredible wok flavor with perfectly cooked noodles and crisp, fresh vegetables. **The Kung Pao Chicken** was outstanding--tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, colorful vegetables, and just the right balance of savory, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors. **The Steamed Rice Rolls (Cheung Fun)** were silky smooth with a delicious sweet soy sauce that made every bite incredibly satisfying. **The Pineapple Buns** were fresh from the oven with a light, fluffy interior and that signature golden crispy topping that makes them so addictive. **The Sesame Balls** were perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft, chewy center and a delicious sweet filling. **The Egg Tarts** finished the meal perfectly with buttery flaky pastry and rich, silky egg custard. Their selection of sauces elevated every bite--from the flavorful chili oil and hot mustard to the sweet plum sauce and chili sauce, giving every dish its own unique flavor combination. A refreshing **Tsingtao Beer** paired beautifully with the meal, while the traditional **hot tea** provided the perfect authentic finish. What impressed me just as much as the food was the outstanding hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in, creating an upscale dining experience that's both comfortable and memorable. If you're searching for authentic Chinese cuisine in the Sacramento area instead of ordinary takeout, Nathan's Chinese Cuisine deserves to be on your list. Between the incredible dim sum, expertly prepared entrées, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service, it's a destination I'll definitely be returning to. **Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Chinese flavors in Elk Grove!** **What would you order first--the silky Cheung Fun, the flavorful Kung Pao Chicken, or those irresistible Pineapple Buns?**

I've never disliked any Honey Walnut Shrimp from anywhere, but I disliked it from here. The batter and sauce was not good. The Braised Fillet of Rock Cod was a lot of tofu and the Mushroom and Tofu w/Vegetables had mostly tofu with little mushroom. Each dishes flavor was just appealing...I keep saying, "This isn't worth eating", and just had a tiny portion of each item. The boy choy in the Mushroom and Tofu w/Vegetables dish was DISGUSTING. I know some/many Chinese restaurants may not wash their veggies, but to see the amount of dirt caked in the boy choy was so gross; I've never seen so much dirt on a dish from a restaurant before...At first I couldn't believe all that black stuff was dirt, so I checked with a napkin and sure enough, all dirt. I don't think I can say I want to come back after the last items I've tried from here.
