I am not a fan of boba but this place was a HIT! When I went to SF for a trip with my friend, she dragged me to try this place. I felt adventurous so I got the strawberry slush with cheese foam. Let me tell you it was so GOOD, def recommend! My friend got the jasmine milk tea and it was good too but not my cup of tea. After five years of wanting to try this place I finally got the chance to. I was so lucky to find parking right across the street too! Came a little after opening and upon entering, you are greeted by the ordering kiosk in which you can make selections and adjustments to your drinks. I'm not sure if I missed the option, but I wish they had their cute paper bags for purchase which would have been useful if walking around town. I think their paper bags may only be available for those that order 3+ drinks. Instead I received a paper cup holder and plastic bag for my two drinks. I ordered the Mochi Soy Milktea with boba and the Super Fruit Tea. The Mochi Soy Milktea was AMAZING! Definitely worth the hype it gets on the internet. The mochi was super soft, fresh, and fluffy. It felt like I was eating a cloud, especially when dipped into the soy cream. The black milktea itself was an interesting flavor.. (I think it was the soy milk) but it quickly grew on me. The boba however, was a bit undercooked. The Super Fruit Tea was refreshing and a little tart. It did not look as pretty as the photos which was a bit disappointing, but the blended up orange made it a lot easier to eat the pulp through the straw. The drink consisted of an alternative green tea to their normal signature one, a lot of oranges, watermelon, and apples. Note that the interior is quite small so patrons are currently asked to wait outside until their name is called for social distancing precautions. Service was great. The girls working were super nice. Even thought it wasn't a perfect first experience, I'd still love to go back and give their other drinks a try. I originally heard about this place because of their unique Mochi Milk Tea, although we decided to try different items from their fun & quirky menu. The Cheese Pinky Lychee tea was quite delicious: the salty cream cheese foam actually provides a nice counterbalance to the sweet blended lychee. The Oreo milk tea, however, was not a great texture/consistency... I'd recommend skipping that one. When we went, they used an automated touch-screen cashier which allowed you to easily make all of your customizations, although this sort of cuts out the opportunity to talk to a human being. (I sometimes like to ask for an employee recommendation!) I would say it's a little on the expensive side for bubble tea, however, they're serving up quality handcrafted drinks that you're probably can't find elsewhere nearby. Priced well and quick to get drinks out. I ordered the osmanthus oolong which I would have liked a bit more strong with a bitter edge, but if you like the flavor of floral osmanthus you'll love this. I added the osmanthus jelly and cheese cream, it ended up being about $5. The cheese cream is more whipped cream-ish to me, not my favorite tbh. Overall a solid drink. I'm giving this place one star for both the drink quality and the service. Unfortunately, it has really gone downhill. I ordered the osmanthus fermented rice drink, and it tasted terrible. When I politely asked if they could make a replacement, the male staff responded with an attitude and said they could only make another drink if I paid for it. The way they handled the situation was disappointing and unprofessional. Good customer service is about ensuring customers have a positive experience, but this place clearly doesn't prioritize that. I really want to like this place but I will very honest - it's not on my "I'm craving boba let's go here" list. I was already taken aback from the service: it didn't feel welcoming at all. The cashier during our visit was either 1.) New or 2.) Unhappy. The vibes here were so off and a GOOD boba spot has to have good vibes. If not, then damn... idk The drinks: So the boyf and I ordered from their Nesquik series and omg... I was so disappointed... we ordered the strawberry and chocolate one. I tasted no Nesquik at all. Pretending there wasn't any tea, it tasted like one scoop of the mix + hella water. But! I did enjoy the tea they use! The tapioca, during my visit, did not taste fresh. I had a mix of hard pieces and really soft ones. Not much flavor either. My sis ordered their famous mochi drink. I have no say in what this tasted like but the idea of it is pretty cool. We ordered ahead for a taro mochi tea. It was delicious! Service was fast and friendly. It was ready even quicker than anticipated. The cafe is cute, clean and busy. I would like a bit more taro over mochi ratio and a tad bit sweeter but it was one of the few boba drinks that didn't taste artificial, so I'll take it! Hands down one of the best boba shop I've ever been to! I've always wanted to try the Pink Lychee and it was always sold out when I stopped by. Luckily, they recently announced on IG that the Pink Lychee is back!!! This drink is a must try! Super fragrant from the lychee and best of all, they add a ton of lychee pieces in the drink! Did I mention that the drink comes with crystal boba too? It is the perfect combination and sweetness level is to my liking! Highly recommend before they're sold out! This is my neighborhood boba stop and it's very convenient. It's open until 9pm seven days a week. Waits are short and service is quick. Boba has a nice chew to it. I am very pleased that this place is open near me. My go-to is the black milk teas. The persimmon orange fruit tea was nice. There are four tall stools at a window-facing counter for people to sit down if they'd like, but most people take their orders to go. read more

Tea Hut's drinks always look super enticing. I love the design on the cup and I really like how pretty the drinks all look all together. This location is a little small but luckily the line isn't so long. I've been here a couple times, and I usually end up ordering a couple different drinks. One of the favorite ones is their Thai Milk Tea! I think it has a good ratio of milk, tea, and sweetness at 50%. Normally, I never order thai teas at any boba place, but I was craving one so why not give it a shot. And it was really good! I've also ordered their Mochi Soy Milk Tea which is basically a classic milk tea with 3 regular small mochis skewered together. It was alright. The texture of the mochi was super soft and you can dip it in your milk tea. Overall, it's just a fun drink to have and try out. And if you wanna take a pic of this drink together it's photo worthy. Then your beverage comes out in the coolest cup I've come across! Highly portable. There is a tiny cap which you pull off and then you may insert the long black straw in. It's resealable too! Stopped by Tea Hut because I heard they had mochi as a topping! My friends who just visited Asia this summer were raving about it as a new drink inclusion, and I have been wanting to try it. Tea Hut has the standard flavors of tea/fruit tea, along with some fun flavors. I got a four seasons milk tea with milky drinkable mochi. Overall, the tea was light, floral, and pleasant. I wasn't sure what to expect from the mochi - it was looser than the hand-held version, and almost dissolved into the drink if you stirred too much. Overall, it did have a lightly sweet and rice-flour taste, but did not have a chewy texture which I was expecting a little bit of. Either way, it was fun to try it, and I would probably get it again - just along with boba as well to still get the fun chew you expect from boba! My friends got the oolong milk tea and Oreo milk tea, which they also enjoyed as well. They also had some fun slushes, like lychee or peach plum which I would have wanted to try on a warmer day. Not going to lie but I came across Tea Hut from seeing a TikTok of a drink topped with mocha django and had to come! Too bad it was a seasonal drink but I'm so happy to have come because their fruit drinks are amazing. They were so busy that Tea Hut ran out of receipt paper! I visit July 11, 2020 and the instructions to order during COVID-19 is to order and pay at order.teahut.us then wait for your name/text to pick up. They don't accept in person orders at the register so keep that in mind! I tried their new drink - baby peach. It's amazing! Think of a sweet peach and liquify it. Top off the drink with some cheese foam and this is the drink! It's so good. There's chunks of peaches in the drink too. Definitely my favorite! I also ordered the sable grape. There's actual grape in there and it's not a syrup. The drink has good natural grape flavor and the drink has a tiny touch of bitterness from the peels of the grape. Lastly, I tried the watermelon green tea. Watermelon was ripe and naturally sweet and mixed with green tea. Overall, Tea Hut is amazing if you like fruit based teas. I haven't tried their milk tea so I can't say anything about that. Stay tuned to their site to see what's new and seasonal. Also stopping by b patisserie next door is a must! PS: Usually I get my drinks 50-75% sweet but at Tea Hut, their recommended sweetness level (I assume 100%) is the right amount of sweetness. PPS: as a self proclaimed boba/tea connoisseur, their cups are one of the best designs I've come across. I was so excited to try out their coconut pudding in the cute jar. The staff was super nice. But due to coconut alone of the store front was blocked off. They take online and walk-in orders. I decided to try the boba coconut pudding but it didn't have enough coconut flavor or sweetness to it. It tasted watered down. The drinks are fairly priced. The coconut milk with pudding is also lacking in the coconut flavor. It was watered down. The taro milk tea was one of the best out of everything we got. The drink actually tasted like it was really taro compared to others where is powdered. The boba was flavorful, not to chewy and not to sweet just the right amount of bounce to sweetness. But it was worth a try. My one suggestion is to add a bit more coconut milk or coconut sweetness to it. read more
