I was so excited to try out their coconut pudding in the cute jar. The staff was super nice. But due to coconut alone of the store front was blocked off. They take online and walk-in orders. I decided to try the boba coconut pudding but it didn't have enough coconut flavor or sweetness to it. It tasted watered down. The drinks are fairly priced. The coconut milk with pudding is also lacking in the coconut flavor. It was watered down. The taro milk tea was one of the best out of everything we got. The drink actually tasted like it was really taro compared to others where is powdered. The boba was flavorful, not to chewy and not to sweet just the right amount of bounce to sweetness. But it was worth a try. My one suggestion is to add a bit more coconut milk or coconut sweetness to it. read more

That milk tea craving is real. lol We've been craving milk tea for a little while and decided to order from Tea Hut. I love the various options that they offer on the menu. And so many of the flavors are pretty unique which makes me want to try them alll. In the end, I decided to get the jasmine milk tea with aloe Vera. There's not much boba in Pac Heights and Tea Hut is in a great location only a few blocks from Alta Plaza Park (some of my favorite views of the city) in California near B. patisserie. They have a wide variety of fruit teas which do look very aesthetic. I also had to try the mochi soy milk tea after seeing it on Instagram--very basic, yes, but it was worth it. Very unique flavor, unlike most boba I've had before. Many drinks also have the option to have cheese cream--i also tried on a different occasion the mango dreamer with cheese cream. The fruit teas are cool and refreshing, great for a summer day or after walking up and down the Alta Plaza steps! I love the reusable cups as well. read more

Not necessarily a complaint about the drinks (because I never got to try it!) but a complaint about the ordering system and hopefully providing feedback that can be incorporated back into the service, since I'm not sure where else to provide this comment! I had placed an order via square as an order ahead 30 minutes out. However, when I arrived i was informed that they were out of the ingredients for that drink - they had just used the last of the persimmons for two drinks that were waiting on the counter for another customer who had placed a mobile order 10 minutes after I had. Unsure how the timing of the orders work, but the other customer did have a 10 minute earlier pickup time than me despite not having arrived yet. I'm assuming the queue picks up orders based on the expected pick up time, but this unfortunately left me without a drink despite having had placed an order earlier than the other customer. If possible, it would be great to see an order queuing system that can cancel orders or prioritize based on the sequence of orders being made - i traveled out of my way to excitedly try the seasonal drink but was left sorely disappointed, drinkless, and am still waiting for my refund to process. read more

I ordered the passionate fruit orange tea with salty creamer on top. Im always a milk tea person but this time I decided to try the fruit tea since my throat not very comfortable. And this drink is out of my expectation. The tea tastes very refreshing and i can taste the real orange juice. There is 2 slides of orange in it as well. The creamer goes great with the fruit tea. One of my favorite boba spots! I see the bear logo on the cup and it brings me joy. My tastebuds sing in jubilation with every sip. There's the self-serve ordering tablet so I don't even have to talk to anyone and then the drink order comes out relatively quick. Yeah, it's expensive but it's a nice treat and you won't be disappointed. As far as boba goes, Tea Hut is a safe bet and you know you'll get a good drink. See below for more detailed description. - Coco Melon [GET]: The watermelon drink is super refreshing. I got the recommended sugar level, and it was a good level of sweetness. Strong watermelon flavor, but not too overpowering because I can still taste the coconut pudding. I love the coconut pudding. It is definitely something I haven't seen or try at other boba places. There's a strong coconut flavor to it, and the texture is perfect. It was slimy and bouncy, but literally melts in your mouth when you eat it. A MUST try topping. - Mango Dreamer w/ Crystal & Honey Boba [GET]: My boyfriend is a big fan of mango, so I got him this mango slushy. It was also very refreshing and got the recommended sugar level. I just wished it has a stronger mango flavor, was a bit bland in my opinion. The crystal and honey boba was tasty. There's a good texture to both toppings. There's a bunch of boxes, looks like a storage spot actually. Expect this to be a to-go boba shop. Price: 4/5 - I got the Coco Melon for $6.75 and the Mango Dreamer for $7.65. Additional toppings are extra and depending on what you get it can be between $0.50 to $1. The total came up to be around $15 after tax. Typical and standard price for boba in SF, and there was only one size for these drinks. Service: 3.75/5 - I ordered through DoorDash for pick-up. I gave the staff my name when I arrive and that was the only interaction between us. The order also took a while to make. When my drinks arrive, the staffs didn't offer me a bag or straws, and I end up forgot about it. Good that I have boba straws at home. It was an okay customer service experience. BLUF: If you are a big fan of refreshing drinks or new and unique drinks, then Tea Hut is the spot for you. I was a big big fan of the Coco Melon drink and the coconut pudding. This place is one of the best milk tea places in the city! Their drinks are fun & unique! I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was barely anyone in line. There are two ways you can order. First, you can order on the iPad in the front, which is helpful if you want to see pictures of the drinks and customize the drinks. Second, you can order directly with the bobarista cashier in the front. The cashier is faster! What I got: Soy Mochi Milk Tea: This is one of their specials and they're very famous for it on instagram. I had to try it myself! I say it's worth the hype! Although, it is pricey. ~$8 for the drink. The drink itself tastes amazing! It is black milk tea that is topped with their special soy cream with three mochi balls on top. The milk tea is perfect in sweetness and their soy cream is just right and creamy. I'd say it's lighter than the whipped heavy cream or cheese cream you usually get at other places. If you're craving a simple boba fix during this pandemic, Tea Hut is still open and doing wonders to satisfy the simple cravings. I came earlier today after really struggling to get a sugary fix for the past few weeks and thankfully Tea Hut was open for pick up as well. Despite not having any seating (as expected) the staff had a fairly large number of orders from people supporting their business. I placed an online order around 1:44 and it was ready for pick up around 2:02 so not too shabby since there were only a handful of employees. Most importantly, everyone was wearing face masks which I thought was extremely important and often overlooked. One downside I saw was that there wasn't any gloves for the employee at the register so be ready to bring some hand sanitizer just in case. That said, the drinks I got were overall fairly decent. I would say it's probably closer to an overall 3.5/5 stars mostly because the 4 Seasons tea wasn't too pronounced and it was fairly muted in flavor which I'm generally okay with. It could definitely benefit more from using a more rich tea but maybe if you had regular sugar then it would have been fine as well. In my case, I got 50% sweetness so that could have easily played a huge factor. I would still recommend this place to try out especially if you just want a quick fix but I would probably lean more towards regular sweetness as their 50% is a lot less sweeter than other boba shops like Boba Guys or Asha Tea House. Outside of all that, staff was very nice and seemed very upbeat which is good especially in these weird times we're in. TL;DR drinks were a bit muted in flavor but can likely be remedied with regular sweetness vs 50% sweetness. read more

We stopped by here since we were craving bubble tea and this place has such aesthetic drinks. They currently do not any indoor seating but they do have an ipad where you can order your drink and then you can pick up. The drinks did come out fairly quickly. We decided to get spam musubi - which were actually pretty tasty and fairly large in size for the pricing. For drinks wise - I got a cheese lychee drink with crystal boba. The drink itself was not bad but I was not a fan of the crystal boba but that can totally be a personal preference. My friend got a milk tea drink with mochi on top - unfortunately the mochi came separately from the drink since we got it as take out. My friend states that the drink itself was good and the boba was pretty good but the mochi was pretty medicore and probs was not worth paying the extra for the mochi on top. The drinks itself were a little on the expensive size but they were fairly large in size so I definitely do think that you get your monies worth. Overall - cute place with nice drinks. Enjoyed the variety of drinks. The choices are both unique and usual. I had the unique mochi drink and my company had tge dragon fruit cheese foam and we wete both satisfied. I tried to go back a few days later with friends we were unsuccesful because we got there 5min to close and the guy was cleaning counters abd waved us away . We were sad esoecially because we came from a distance but i guess they clean and actually stop making drinks before the time it says they close so tgat sucked. read more

Visiting my friend in sf and wanted to do a quick boba stop. we had very high hopes coming here because it seemed like a cute place but I waited over 35 MINUTES FOR ONE DR for my drink. The servers were moving at a slow pace and barely pushing out orders. After waiting 20 minutes I went up to ask them about my drink and she dismissed me. after waiting another 15 minutes I went up and it turns out they lost my order completely. There was no compensation offered at all for their mistake. Everyone around us was also complaining on how long the drinks were taking. Not to mention everything is very expensive.
