One of the best boba places in the 626 to do work. I appreciate the high ceilings and wide windows which create the perfect ambiance to work or chat. The interior is minimal and tasteful, more like a coffee shop than a boba joint. Decent wifi and plenty of outlets. The drinks are pretty enjoyable as well -- they taste fresh and nothing artificial. Overall we have loved it here. I was proud my 9 yo son ordered his own drink but I guess the person taking the order missed the part of making it a slushie. A few bites in and I noticed the undercooked popcorn chicken. I should've read the reviews prior to ordering. I used to enjoy coming here but customer service hasn't been the same. This is regarding a customer service issue that was handled poorly: I ordered dinner and drinks tonight at Teamorrow. Towards the end of dinner, my little one had to go to the restroom. We're in there for a while and when we come out, the server is cleaning up our table. I'm looking for my slushie drink and ask her where it went, and she looks surprised and says she threw it out. OK, an honest mistake because we were not at the table. We did leave my son's basketball at the table as a signal that we had not left yet, but I guess she didn't notice it. So I ask if I can get a new drink since I wasn't done with it and she prematurely tossed it out. I probably still had at least 2/3 left in there because I was looking forward to drinking it on the hot walk home afterward. She looked like a deer in the headlights as she scurried off to ask the other server who didn't even look at her as she mumbled something, and then she scurried back and she couldn't do anything about it. I was speechless. Wait, what?? Then, perhaps in an attempt to try to console me, she had the nerve to offer that I buy myself another one if I still wanted one. UH NO THANK YOU. Why would I give you more money and buy another drink for the drink that I already bought but that you threw away?!?!?! I walked home feeling hot and super annoyed. We love boba! TeaMorrow was highly recommended to us and we decided to give it a try. Like I said, we love boba! We found an enticing menu of delectable tastes to choose from. It seemed clear that we could not have one of everything, as tempting as that seemed at the time, so we ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea and the Taro Milk Tea. I am thinking that we will order everything else on the menu next time! The hokkaido milk tea with normal sweetness had a great tea taste complimented by the accompanying milk. The boba was an excellent combination of firm yet soft. So tasty! The taro milk tea, also with normal sweetness, had a nice nutty sweetness with a hint of vanilla. In combination with the milk and boba at the bottom of the cup the taro milk tea was a taste festival. So good! I've been coming here for years. I like the food and drinks. The deco is nice. However, I strongly suggest the business adds a changing table to their restroom and makes it easier for parents with young children. I visited with a friend who had a young kid, and they had to change diapers on the floor. ITEM'S ORDERED: Iced Assam Black Tea (non sweetened) Cold Brew (non sweetened) Iced Jasmine Green Tea (non sweetened) Iced Matcha Latte (soy, non sweetened) Popcorn Chicken House Spicy Zha Jiang Mian (75% spicy) TASTE: All the teas were pretty decent here with good flavoring & didn't taste oversteeped/bitter, but also weren't washed out. The Iced Matcha Latte did have a weeker flavor of matcha than I usually like despite being quite green. But the gf informed me when she was at this establishment in person an employee explained their matcha is from a region in Japan that specifically produces "lighter" flavored matcha. So yeah. The Cold Brew had a strong flavor which I usually like but I didn't find the actual coffee flavor that pleasant. Must be the beans they use just don't work for my palate. But I imagine others may like it. The Popcorn Chicken was alright popcorn chicken, maybe just a little blander than I've had. It was just a really small portion. The House Spicy Zha Jiang Mian comes alongside a little spring mix side salad. The noodles just kinda look like a light red meat sauce & actualy tastes like that mixed with some good chili oil. That's not a bad thing, it's actually a pretty good flavor, little sweet, spicy, & savory from the minced pork. Big fan of the wide noodles. SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING: This was a Postmates order so no comments directly on service. Although I didn't appreciate having a big basil stem in the popcorn chicken which was one of the smallest portions I've ever seen. I usually make it a point to not order from a place so close to closing but still. They are located on Mission St & Meridian Ave. If you're lucky you'll find street parking right on Mission & I think there's a few spots in the back of the building. Popcorn chicken- Big pieces, not as good as when we get it from Class 302 in Orange County. Zha jiang mian (no spicy)- There was NO black bean sauce and because I saw that they provide it as a spicy sauce, I asked for it on the side, but didn't get any sauce. I just got myself Jasmine Green Milk Tea and less sweet. My drink was pretty good. The guy who made my drink wanted me to take a sip of my drink before leaving to see if I was satisfied with the drink. I told him my drink is fine and left. With the Yelp check-in offer, I was able to get a free size upgrade so that was awesome! They also have a stamp card too but I think they dont give a stamp if you used the check-in offer or at least thats what the worker said to me. I am happy with my drink and on the days I am too lazy to drive to SGV or even Alhambra, I will be coming here since its literally two blocks away from home. My favorite Minced Pork Rice of all time !! For those who like their minced porn on the sweeter and dry-er side, this is the best one ever. Most minced pork in tea places are either very saucy, too salty, or too bland. But this place has the perfect balance for me and I don't even eat it on the store. my friend usually get it for me when she's around the area. And I love the sauce they use for the salad. It's like a honey mustardy sauce, and as you can tell, I love my food on the sweeter side. And on most tea place I go, I always try their jasmine cheese foam tea if they have it, and I would say this place has a pretty decent one. I wanted to try their popular Heart of the Ocean, and asked for adjustments on ice and sweetness, but they said there can't be any adjustments (makes sense because lemonade is probably set at a particular sweetness) also because the ice helps to create the layer gradient. Their crystal balls topping (which I assume is agar boba) had good, chewy consistency. With the lack of sweet adjustment, my drink also turned out to be a bit too sweet unfortunately. If I'm in the area again, maybe I'll try their food since they seem to have good reviews. We came on a Saturday morning to get some work done. Located in downtown South Pasadena right next to the train station, this place was poppin when we visited! Drinks I ordered the matcha green tea with strawberry purée. It looked wonderful but I felt it was not sweet enough. (This is definitely personal preference). I'm also unsure of the conception of the drink - the matcha green tea latte's creaminess overshadows hints of tea, and the purée sinks to the bottom and requires a fair bit of mixing before each sip. The container it came in was adorable, but bears a small round opening for the soft, flexible plastic straws this place provide, which is difficult to stir with. The husband ordered a oolong milk tea and liked it. Food We also ordered food that was sub par. Both my Sichuan noodles and the husband's shrimp wonton noodles were overdone and soggy. The flavor was good though. But at least the Sichuan noodles were so soggy that it was difficult to finish. My Sichuan noodles came with a side of salad which was interesting. I didn't mind it and liked the sweet dressing. Parking & Wifi & the Space There's only downtown south pas street parking which is 2 hours. But you can also park at the parking structure across the street. WiFi was wonky!! It keeps kicking me off every 5 minutes or so and my computer would automatically connect me to a nearby unsecured WiFi that prompts new windows. It was very distracting for studying. The temperature was hot and cold, like one other reviewer pointed out. It almost felt as if the AC would be turned off and on throughout the day. Not sure what the motivation is but if it is to save energy/$, it's actually accomplishing the opposite purpose. Service was great tho. My server was friendly and courteous. After browsing the menu, I ended up getting: Large Hokkaido Milk Tea, $5.25 prior to tax- I was a bit disappointed with this hokkaido milk tea. It tasted a bit off to me. The owner of the tea house told me that he makes his drink different than most tea shops in that he uses whole milk instead of creamer. But I know that there are tea houses that do use whole milk instead of creamer as well. And with this drink, I felt that the milk was heavy handed and barely tasted the flavors of the hokkaido tea. Large Mango Green Tea, $4.45 prior to tax- My husband liked his drink. Since I am not a green tea drinker, I didn't have any. -------------------------- (Total= $10.62 after tax) The prices charged for drinks here is pretty expensive. To be honest, I think it is a bit ridiculous to pay that much for my husband's simple fruit flavored green tea. Same with my milk tea that tasted rather off to me. Although the service was friendly and I appreciate that the owner checked in with us and tried to make my drink taste better, I am still a bit disappointed with our experience and do not see myself coming back here. I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed every visit. The drinks and meals have stayed consistently yummy. I have tried multiple drinks and everything was oh so good, from the simple teas to indulgent tiramisu foam, you can't go wrong. Whatever mood you're in, they will have a tea for that. They always make sure you are happy with your drink before you leave. My favorite is the matcha with cheese foam and their pea flower lemonade. Both drinks are so instagrammable. My go to meal here is their minced pork. The dressing is delicious and the pork has enough kick to it. It's the first time I dined in, and I was happy with the experience. The service is top notch. I love trying new boba places so when this one popped up on yelp I was excited to come try it. I did street parking and I parked a block away and the walk wasn't bad at all. Finding the place wasn't super tricky but you enter a bit before the shop (there's a sign that says entrance on the left). Definitely check in on yelp because they give you a free upgrade to large. The cashier was really friendly and told us that if our drink wasn't perfect, they'd redo it for us. He even followed up after our orders came out to see if we liked our drinks.
