I loved Ding Tea when I lived in El Monte and I'm so happy that they have this location in Long Beach now! They accept online orders and pick up is usually faster than what Yelp tells you. Friendly staff. Must try their Hokkaido Milk Tea! 100% recommend. read more

Actually found this place on Yelp as I was searching for some good Thai tea with boba. The girls who took our order were super cool. Our boba tea was delicious as I'm very picky about my Thai teas. Ding Tea is of the best known international Taiwanese tea shop chains. Named after the mountain in Taiwan where the tea is cultivated, they are famous for consistent quality and inventive specialty drinks. Their menu includes boba, milk tea, fruit juices, and yakult/yogurt drinks. I have ordered from this newly opened Long Beach location twice via Postmates. I am unsure if it is the fault of Ding Tea or Postmates, but my orders have arrived incorrect both times. For example, we ordered Honey Black Tea, and received Honey Milk Tea. With our other order, both drinks contained almost no ice, despite requesting the regular ice level. Regardless, I really liked the drinks. Their Taro Milk Tea is my favorite. It tastes like sweet, creamy, cereal milk. The Signature Milk Tea, which is just a black milk tea, is also fantastic. I am eager to try more of their menu, and hope they iron out the delivery inconsistencies. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. My husband and I walked in with our 4 kids and not one of the three employees looked up. They kept talking and looking at their phones and ignored us. We said hello to see if they were interested in serving us to which we got zero response. Never have I ever been to a business with such blatantly rude employees. The girl with orange, curly hair and the two others should be extremely ashamed. To the management or even the owner of this location we came in with an order for eleven drinks at 8:45pm on Tuesday 12/27/22 (you close at 9 so we had time) please check your cameras if you have any and you'll see how bad they are for business. I haven't had a negative experience here, but there's nothing super special about their drinks - nothing stands out to me. I came in with a friend and didn't realize it was close to closing time as the door was wide open and no one said anything, they took her order but I went to the bathroom and came out and stood in line at 8:59 with my wallet and the worker ignored me and balanced the register in front of me for 3 minutes even ignoring when I asked out loud if they were closed until after 9 when he said they were no longer taking orders. They then served my friend her drink and tried to avoid eye contact with me. I'm not sure why they didn't say they were closing when we walked in. So happy there is a Ding Tea in Long Beach! Not many quality boba spots in the area and I'm so pleased with this new addition to the LB Traffic Circle/CSULB area. As soon as I heard they were open, I packed my baby and husband to come get boba at 8pm on a random night, lol, boba cravings were real! I've been to a number of Ding Teas but this specific location seems to have a variety of other drinks the other locations don't offer. I'm a flavored tea zero sweetness kind of person and the flavor was spot on! A lot of times, the drinks still come out too sweet for me at other boba locations, but I could taste the actual tea here (which is what I love!) In addition, customer service is superb, there's this one employee that stood out to me, Kelliana, very sweet girl that was so attentive and polite, will definitely be back because of the good drinks and good customer service, oh and that LBC wall-art they have. Back UP and Ready to Visit Regularly!!!! There's nothing better than an establishment that honors their guests' feedback. On a few recent visits, my order didn't come out as expected. I ended up putting up a relatively critical review. I went back today for the first time since that review. Without me even saying anything about my previous visit, the person behind the counter addressed my concerns in the most professional manner (I still don't know how he even recognized me). But, I receive acknowledgment and was treated kindly. To me, that means a lot. It's hard to find places where people actually care anymore. The only reason I came back was because the Drinks here are really good. They have all kinds of toppings and will will adjust the sweetness of your drink to your preference. It's also very convenient to get in and get out safely. Now, I can say that I will come back because the drinks are good, it's convenient, and they treat their guest with care and kindness. I have been going to this Ding Tea location since before their official opening and they made a couple mistakes with our orders but were very nice about fixing it so I gave them another chance. But 9 times out of 10 they'll get my order wrong. Often when I order a hot drink with boba I'll get to the bottom of the drink and then realize there is no boba. For a boba lover, this is devastating when you expect to find boba at the end, and there's.... Nothing! Good tea, but staff should check the order before it goes out. read more

Service is fast, but in terms of the quality of the drinks I am not a fan. This was my first time getting boba in LA being from the Bay, and it was not pleasant. I ordered a taro and strawberry slush which I changed to a large because I didn't notice the size of the regular which was my fault. The workers were friendly about it and just charged me the extra. The drinks came out so watery and the boba is just so weird. I asked for a slush and didn't get that. I was in the area and wanted to stop by 2nd and PCH to see how things changed since the last time I was there. I was originally planning to go to the Traffic Circle location, but suddenly remembered there was this location on the other side of PCH. I'm a part of Nekter's rewards program, and I got an email saying that my points would have expired real soon. I had just enough points to redeem a $3 small smoothie. The small smoothie is 16 oz, and if I wanted to get it for free, I would have had to spend just as many dollars plus twice as many cents to do so. I'm not going to do that just for $3 savings, so I chose to get my $3 smoothie here. When I arrived on Friday after lunch, there were a couple of girls in line, who were having quite the conversation with the cashier. Luckily, I didn't have to wait that long, and it did give me additional time to decide which smoothie I wanted. When it was my turn to order, the cashier greeted me, and I asked if there was any smoothie that I couldn't get using my reward. She simply mentioned that as long as it was offered in the "Small" size, it would work. I asked about Coffee Kickstart since it was early afternoon, a time when I start to feel drowsy and need that extra kick of caffeine to get me through the day. At first, the cashier said she'd only recommend it for the flavor, and then I was trying to look for other options that would give me that boost I needed. She eventually said that the Coffee Kickstart would be a good choice for that, and so I chose the Coffee Kickstart. Understandably, they did not have the Aloha Smoothie on their menu, but I'm sure if I asked, they would have been as confused as you are if you are still reading this review. She then asked me if I wanted whey or pea protein. Whey is a dairy base, but pea is vegan. As much as I love saying "no way!", I had to say "yes way" to whey lol. It took a few minutes for her to prepare my drink with a glove in one hand, but not the other. After I got my drink, I grabbed a straw from the pickup counter and headed back to my car. While the Coffee Kickstart did give me that boost to get me through the rest of that afternoon, I was disappointed that it didn't have the consistency of a smoothie until I reached the bottom half of the cup. The first half was pretty watered down, and it felt like I was drinking a regular iced coffee. However, it tasted more like a smoothie afterwards, but too little too late I guess. I had just finished the smoothie by the time I got back home. Was the smoothie bad? No, but it's not something I would get again, even if I were looking for that extra caffeine kick. I probably should have gone with the Health Nut or the PB Mocha instead, but even so, with how watered down my drinks have been from here, who knows how watery those other protein smoothies would be? My experience here was definitely better than 1 star, so I'll give 1 more star to my original rating, but that's it, unfortunately. Unless all the *other* stars magically align again, I probably won't be back here, especially since it's in an area I'm not in frequently, and I *still* don't see a Yelp check-in offer.

Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

Just rolled thru to this boba shop cause my wife and I noticed they had Vietnamese coffee. HOLY SMOKES!!! This coffee is by far the best Vietnamese coffee in Long Beach. This area was totally lacking in the coffee department. They also carry sea salt coffee and American coffee. When I asked what kind of coffee beans they use, the gentleman at the front informed me that their American coffee/sea salt coffee are both made with Ethiopian Koke beans. I don't think any coffee house in long beach carries that. Also, it was great to see all the customers waiting outside after ordering. Amazing art work and design on the inside. This shop definitely looks like it belongs in the historic arts district of LA. I can't explain how glad i am that we have something like this in Long Beach. I can't say enough about the drinks either. I'm so glad they opened this location up. Long Beach was in dire need of some good boba. I ordered the boba latte and substituted the whole milk for oat milk and it was amazing!!! First off, they're the only ding tea I know of that offers non-dairy substitutions. Secondly, the drink tasted fantastic and the boba was perfect! The second drink i got was the Thai Tea. For all you thai tea lovers out there, do yourself a favor and try their thai tea. I would say it's better than any thai tea i've ever had, including 7 leaves (who I previously considered the best, until today) They also have a buy one get one half off special. I was really excited when I discovered Teatopia, a local spot that offered banana matcha lattes. I visited them before this drink was even on their menu, and I remember loving it. Usually, I get my matcha fix from Okayama and Airoma, but since Teatopia is nearby, I've been visiting fairly often. However, my experience today was quite disappointing. To my surprise, the cup size seemed smaller, and I ended up paying $8 for a drink that was about 80% ice. It felt like I was mostly sipping on flavored water rather than the delicious banana matcha blend I enjoyed before. I stopped by Teatopia in Brea and tried their Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea--and wow, it did not disappoint! The tea had the perfect balance of sweetness, allowing the rich, roasted oolong flavor to shine through without being overpowering. The milkiness was just right, making for a smooth and satisfying drink. Beyond the great taste, I was also impressed with the design of the container--aesthetic, modern, and definitely Instagram-worthy. Went here and tried the thai tea, signature milk tea and jasmine milk tea. All 3 drinks were amazing! So glad Long Beach has an officially good boba spot...we were lacking for the longest time. This place is always so consistent. This seems to be a deliberate decision by management, not it not working. I bought my drink and food and left. Normally I enjoy eating there and getting some work there. Besides that it's a great spot! Great service and good drinks/food. Parking is huge but is shared with the plaza so it can get filled fast. WiFi is usually solid.

Delivery was in a timely manner and the tea was secured in a bag and upon taking out I was pleased that it also had a Tamperproof lid this makes me feel safe. I have seen a few videos on social media of drivers messing with people's drinks or food and that made me no longer trust orders from delivery drivers unless I called ahead to see if they tamper proofed all food trust is everything. My order Lychee fruit tea with boba the total was $6.67 it has a nice flavor not too sweet it's just right for me and very refreshing. Safety in choosing delivery. Definitely order whatever you want from Tea 9 on DoorDash they're legit and respectful of their customers and tamperproof wrap all orders I will try more items from now on. Just me Shawn C.

Great for me that it's empty right now since I am working on music in a DAW. I got the Taro milk tea and it has caffeine which is nice because so many boba spots I go to now say there's no tea in their Taro milk tea (?????). I also got fried dumplings and they're good!
