Excellent service and food! My boyfriend and I were hungry and decided to dine at Ted's for an early dinner. After being seated, we munched on the complimentary cucumbers, which were crunchy and delicious! For appetizers we ordered the crab cake. The waitress informed us that the order only came with one, so we requested two orders. The apps came out quickly, and OMG these were the freshest crab cakes I have had in a while. We also enjoyed the kale salad and guac that accompanied the dish. While waiting for the entrée, I sipped on a mojito which was light and refreshing. The entrées arrived shortly after. I ordered the salmon while my bf ordered the bison ribeye. Our food was hot off the grill, cooked to perfection, and so so satisfying. I was pleasantly surprised, but very appreciative of our dining experience at this location. We will definitely be back! read more

Unfortunately I have to give a one star. My husband and I were there on Sunday. We both got steaks and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was beyond loose and runny and it did not taste like blue cheese. My husband got the beef Delmonico Ribeye and I got the Certified Angus® Beef New York Strip. My husband's steak was extremely gamey and very tough to the point my husband couldn't eat it. My steak had a lot of veins and it was difficult to cut it. For the amount of money the steak cost we shouldn't have to have that awful experience and it was both of us. read more

The bison dishes are delicious. I recommend over the beef. If you want to start slow, try the bison chili. They have signature drinks that are worth the trip alone. I've never had a better margherita. It's all home made, no mix involved. I love the ambiance, but some patrons come too casually dressed for their surroundings. However, the restaurant has been uncomfortably hot during the summer over the past few years. Because of this, I do not visit as often during the summer. Please address this sooner rather than later. Overall not bad but parking yes can be a challenge. The place is not very big and the parking area is as small as the restaurant. We visited on a Wednesday night about 8. We sat at the bar which was fine. The service at the bar was great. I was the only guy in the bar area of about 9+ ladies. I was not complaining. I had the fish tacos which came out to look like a big burrito and my guest had muscles. The food was very good no complaints there. The bison pot roast was wonderful! Served with mashed potatoes and crisp carrots. We were seated immediately on a Monday night at 6:00. Plenty of parking. Our server was friendly and attentive, our drinks were refilled several times. Four of us all had bison - short ribs, steak, burger, and pot roast. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the pickles! I loved Ted's since the first time a few friends of mine dragged me to one and forced me to try some Bison. I was a little hesitant at first. I fell in love with the pickles you get to munch on before your meal, and the moment that Bison hit my belly I was hooked. That was over half a decade ago. And I have returned to Ted's at least on a monthly basis ever since. I always get a Bison burger and fries. My wife is a little more adventurous. But any time we want a quick date night, this is our favorite spot. That ended last night. After my experience in this restaurant I will NEVER return again. And it is real difficult to get me out of my habits. I am the guy that finds his favorite joint and could eat there 3 times a week. I get into my patterns and they are hard to break. The pattern is broken. Permanently. And I will explain why ... We offered to take our friend out to dinner for her birthday. She had never been to Ted's so we convinced her to give it a try. We were glad they were open to dine in, but were a little baffled when we stepped inside and saw every table and booth completely occupied. Not spaced out, not every other spot, completely 100% occupied and as close together as they have been on our previous 72 visits to Ted's. That was kind of scary so we waited a booth, at least the high backs of the booths can offer a little shielding from all this virus stuff going on. Our waiter Stephen was nice enough. Joked around a little, had a good personality. We ordered some onion rings to hold us over and awaited our food. When the food arrived, the first thing I noticed were my fries looked like "mummy fingers". Literally black and shriveled up. I asked the waiter why my fries were so burnt and his reasoning was something along the lines of "they are short on the seasoning they normally put on the fries which is causing them to cook faster and be a little over done". Odd, why not just cook them LESS. But no matter, I was not here for the fries. So we go to dig in to our bison burgers, ordered medium. Yes, a little pink in the center, we know the drill, we eat here literally on a monthly basis and always get bison burgers. The burger was literally ice cold and squishy red on the inside. Like hands in a bowl squashing up ground meat making meatballs squishy red. It was a red slimy paste. Not warm pink center ... red slimy paste. I literally stuck my index finger in it. Cold and slimy raw. They were slammed busy, still no big deal. I am not easy to upset. I simply told the waiter about it, he asked if I wanted the manager and at first I said no. I could just eat around it. But then I thought for a $40 meal I should at least be able to eat it all and my wife was scoffing that she was not even willing to eat hers at all. So the manager came and I showed him. Even offered he could touch it and see for himself. I told him I was not worried about the black shriveled up fries but the burger was slimy red and cold. He proceeded to lean over me (with this Covid thing going on, I am not kidding I had to lean back in the booth some because he was right in my face leaning into me) and lecture me on how Ted turner owns this place and gets his own bison and that is how they like to cook it here. I objected that I do like a warm pink center (medium) but this was literally cold and slimy red uncooked meat. He again told me I was wrong and that they cook bison the way they want it done and that I was basically wrong in my assessment and needed to understand how bison is meant to me eaten (cold and raw I guess). I sat there, jaw on the floor. He walked away and I looked at those around the table and said "Did ... did the manager just tell me I was wrong and that I should eat the meat the way they tell me to eat it?". I was literally stunned. I have probably consumed 80 Bison burgers since this Ted's opened. Always ordered exactly the same way. And I cook my own at home. I know what uncooked ground meat feels and looks like. I've been knuckle deep in it plenty of times. This was literally raw, and instead of just saying "Hey our bad, let's get that fixed up" I got lectured on how stupid I am for not taking what they give me and how they give it to me. I will NEVER ... and I mean EVER ... step foot in another Ted's again. I'll miss the Bison burgers but I can just make them myself at home. Whoever this manager is, you all need to find him a better job elsewhere. After reading some reviews last night it appears I am not the only person to have issues with him. I know my business is just a drop in the bucket ... but you will never get a dime from me and my wife again. I was so angry I handed my wife the credit card and told her and our friend I would wait out in the car. I did not want to cause any scene and I could just feel my blood boiling. First time trying bison and I gotta say, that is some good stuff! Stayed around Buford cause of work and someone brought us here to this Ted's. I guess it is a chain around Atlanta, opened by Ted Turner. Very nice little spot in a shopping center, dark wood decor, high ceiling, and good private booths. It's not a big restaurant but it has a good amount of tables. Ted's pride themselves on preparing everything in house and on the spot so the wait could take awhile. Of course, had to get the bison steak so choose the ribeye. Generally for beef, since ribeye is so fatty, by the end it gets to be a little too much but bison is tender, leaner, and packs just as much flavor. Just enough fat for flavor. Ted's seasons it pretty well also. Definitely get the bison if you've never tried it. Also got onion rings and mashed potatoes as my sides. I like the onion rings here. Crunchy and seasoned just right for the rings. They also have a big variety of bison burgers. Next time definitely will try that if I get to visit Atlanta. The service is extraordinary. Our waiter was attentive, courteous, and just made my whole experience better. The whole Southern Hospitality is hammered into that guy! Even gave us a free fresh-made lemonade just to let us try it out. Good stuff. read more

We absolutely love eating here. The staff is always on point and the food is never disappointing. The S&P trout topped with a tasty fresh corn salsa was the perfect light meal. I even paired it with one of their amazing crab cakes (1/2), and I was still under 800 calories for my indulgent lunch. I can't wait to get back in there so I can try more favorites! This was the second location of Ted's I have visited. It's great food and a nice setting. Not too loud. We went for lunch so I was able to view the lunch menu. The wait staff was very nice and helpful in choosing food. If you've never had buffalo before don't let it scare you. Ted's is only slightly gamey, like it should he and is immaculately prepared so it's not dry or chewy! They also have other options besides buffalo. I've had the meatloaf before which is always good so I opted for the roast this time with potatoes. The roast was succulent, not gamey at all and the gravy (because you have gravy with roast, not "sauce") was amazing! My friend had the ribs... And OMG we're they good!! Perfectly sauce, thick with lots of neat and a perfect proportion of fat for the perfect bite. Great flavor! I'm getting that next time! The wine we chose, which I wish I had made note of the name paired beautifully. It was recommended. Since it had been a while, I had forgotten what a nice place to eat it is. Not too loud and great atmosphere. Will definitely go back to our home location and visit again. read more

As soon as you walk into this place you feel like you are in a movie. The lighting is a little dark but that's my favorite part. The bar is just absolutely beautiful. The hostess was really nice and they sat us down at our beautiful table. We ordered steak and it was the best steak I've ever had. I'm from California and I have not had a steak this great in a long time. The service was amazing and we will definitely go back when we are in Georgia again. Now a party of 15 is a challenge for most restaurants, more so for a restaurant that doesn't offer a private room. Ted's handled perfectly. For starters, they offered some local beers. Now mix that with Bison nachos, onion rings, and homemade chips our palates were prepared. Consider their chicken soup, on par with my Mom's. The Bison burger won't let you down.... a soup and burger combo made for an amazing meal. Good food, good company, great service! I went with another couple and my bf on a Saturday night, the wait was 45 minutes but we walked around to shops nearby so it wasn't bad. Once we got back, we waited for another 10 minutes and were promptly seated. However, it did take another ten minutes for our server to come around. Our server, Steven, was great! He was very attentive and remembered everything we asked for and he always always refilled our drinks without us asking! My boyfriend got the meatloaf sandwich and thought it was absolutely amazing. The other couple got a bison burger, as did I. Their burgers are ginormous! I could finish mine so I just ate rest of the patty meat. The bison was perfectly cooked to how I like it, medium rare and it was so juicy! I love their grilled mushroom although I would have like it in the burger instead of in the plate because the bottom of the burger was soggy due to all the juice. Really nice buffalo steak! Best buffalo Ive ever had. I had the ribeye and it tasted great, great juicing and a lot of flavour. The apps were decent but the main was the best part! We had a few bottles of one of my favourite red wines, Silver Oak. Only Alexandria but still tastes great. I would stop here again. The only thing negative I can say is that the tables, table clothes and atmosphere seems to be just blah. Probably good if you were at a Cracker Barrel. read more

When my friends and I went here we all thought the food was very delicious. The service was also great and our server was so sweet. She made sure we were taken care of even though it was a busy day. On the other hand, the customers there weren't that friendly. My friends and I are a very diverse group of minorities, so we felt very uncomfortable when people kept staring at us. We were very respectful, but some customers wouldn't leave us alone. Our experiences were kind of ruined by the other customers and we are aware it isn't the restaurant's fault. Tucked in a strip mall across the street from the GA Mall, Ted Turner's restaurant was packed with locals who eat there often. I met two ladies who eat there every week- that is a following! The Farmhouse Salad of crispy, cold romaine and kale, was topped with tender pulled roasted turkey, corn, tomatoes, candied nuts, and cheese. I had the standard lemon vinaigrette on the side and was glad I did, for it was bland and oily. Dining companion had the bison burger which came stacked with melted cheese and fries in the side. Looked tasty. The third entree was the salmon, reportedly Moist and flavorful. Don't know if farm or wild salmon.
