This location is also a little hard to spot on the street when you're driving around, but trust your GPS! Parking is pretty good on Sundays especially if you come early, because there's no restrictions. Normally it's a 1-2 hour parking limit. Pre-pandemic, I would come here frequently because this location has amazing natural lighting. Now they have limited seating outside with tables in front and on the side under a tent. There's also a fair amount of bench seating. Anyway, drinks are always on point. Their espresso drinks are smooth, and doesn't leave the bitter, burnt aftertaste as with some other places. I like getting the Enlightenment drink, but decided to try one of their summer drinks, the quince espresso spritzer. Are you kidding me? This place was so great all around! To start off, I was greeted by some awesome employees! They were super sweet and super interested in my day. I asked the barista what he would recommend as a first timer and to my surprise he said a vanilla latte. Now keep in mind that I go to a lot of different coffee shops and I love to try crafted drinks, so when he said a vanilla latte I thought it was pretty basic. He continued to say that their syrup goes really well with their beans to which I asked if they make their own syrup and he said no. So I started to become even more skeptical of what he recommended. But, I decided to still give it a shot. (Get it? Espresso, shot) I ordered a breve vanilla Latte. When I got in my car and tasted what I ordered I was so surprised. My mind was literally blown. I have never had a vanilla latte that harmonized so well with all the ingredients. He wasn't kidding when he said that the vanilla and their beans create a melody together.... well I might up made that line up . In my effort to shop local these days, I stopped by Temple for some coffee. I already ordered breakfast food and just need some coffee. I never been to Temple and decided to stop by. Service: Friendly and helpful when I had questions. Quick despite the long line. Covid19 precautions: no indoor seating. Outside seating at tables at the entrance and on the side, every other table. Floor guides to keep customers 6 feet away. One door for entry, and a sign directing customers to exit at another door (although not everyone paid attention) Parking: Street, free Drink: Mexican Mocha w/ oat milk (iced). This was really good. Happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and got something other than iced chai or iced coffee. The Mexican Mocha tastes like cold chocolate milk, without all the extra sugar. Visiting Sacramento and was in the mood for some coffee. This place was close to where I had just eaten dinner and gave it a try. I had a Mexico mocha with soy and one of their signature cream puffs. The ambiance is very chill and trendy. It's a nice open space with some interesting art and displays throughout the store. Their penny floor is pretty cool to. Seating inside is very limited due to covid. There is some seating outside but not much. There are a few picnec tables, a couple of benches and some smaller tables outside. They are not regularly cleaned by staff but to be fair, there is a sign that says to let an employee know that you're leaving so they can clean. Not one person did that while I was I purchased two Mexican mochas and two cream puffs. The total was $28. The coffee hit the spot on a cool evening. It was good. Mine had a little too much soy milk for me but I finished every last drop. The cream puff was big and full of yumminess. It's tart but good. I've never actually been to this particular location until today. While I was waiting for my hair appointment, I thought I'd pop in and get a coffee for my hair dresser and me. Because I have never been to this location before, I got in what I thought was the line. Apparently, I was wrong. And do you know how I figured that out? because their bald barista made fun of me with their coworker, rather than telling me or prompting the cashier to direct the line. I had their Capitol Cream Soda which reminded me a lot of Italian soda or butterbeer from Universal Studios (minus the butterscotch flavoring). The ambience at this location is ideal for a chill night, study spot, or just to relax and read. Not too noisy either. However, like any other downtown locations, parking is a little difficult to find. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was visiting my sister in Sacramento & she brought me to Temple. It had a great ambiance. The cashier was super friendly. The lattes were great. I asked what flavors they had for their lattes because it's not on their menu (that could be something they could do to make the ordering process a little smoother) and the barista gave me a very limited list (3 flavors, I think?). I don't remember the name of the one I chose but I think it was something like brown sugar flavor (it was an oat milk latte). It was not very sweet at all (which I prefer versus too sweet). Besides feeling like you're in a fancy cabin - it must be the high, wood ceilings - I was immediately struck by how much hustling there was in this space for a Sunday afternoon. Lots of people had their computers, papers, and books out; and you could definitely feel the grind. There were also some solo pleasure readers. I love how the side tables also have little reading lamps. I didn't find the seating at the communal table very comfortable, and I was surprised by how many people seemed to have set-up shop given the odd height of the seats. Maybe it's just a personal problem. The aesthetic is very sleek, and you can tell they are serious about coffee. On the pricier side of coffee, Temple thankfully serves a really smooth coffee drink. My husband's Mexican Mocha was sweet without being too sweet, and my latte was perfect to the last drop. I appreciated that while I was paying, the barista asked if I would like water as well. At around 5pm on a Sunday, there were barely any pastries left. I'll be back! read more

I have been to 4 out of 5 locations. I must admit the Davis location is a little far for me. My top favorite locations are K street with the beautiful penny floors and S street with the wonderful outdoor garden! The K street location is a lot bigger than the others, with tons of seating indoors and outdoors. Each time I come home to visit family I make it a point to take my mom to a place she has not been yet. The menu selection here is the same as the other locations. Perfect shop for studying, getting work done, or just to catch up with some friends! The vibes were immaculate the whole 4 hours I spent here and I can't wait to come back. The staff worked so well together and I felt so welcomed. They were personable and just seemed happy to be there! There was a long line when I got there of about 8 people and I was probably in line for no longer than 5 minutes. They are very organized and took orders very professionally. The menu was provided a lot of variety and was easy to follow. I opted for their summer menu item which included a Iced Sweet basil latte along with a lemon lavender muffin. They both tasted amazing as they definitely know what they're doing here. All the flavors were not only bold and very prominent in the drink and cupcake but perfectly complimented each other. I didn't see many people order from their baked goods section, but I'm letting you know that they're missing out! It does get pretty busy, but I felt as though people we entering and leaving frequently so finding a spot won't take long. I like how there was plenty of seating, it was well air conditioned, and well lit. The aesthetics of this place is extremely hard to come by nowadays and undeniably makes this place a hidden gem; that alone makes this place worth a visit. Another thing that stood out to me was how early they open and late they close. Not once did I feel rushed to get my work done before early afternoon which makes this place extremely unique. It's very spacious, and each seat is well-separated from each other, which makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy some personal time. The line was long, but the staff tried their efforts to help whatever you needed, including a quick introduction to what kind of beans they offer and give recommendations based on your preferences. They even have coffee samples too! You could easily use those as standards and let them know what you would like more or less, and how you feel about that coffee. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful in terms of helping you choose the right coffee beans. The latte was amazing-the aroma of the espresso and the creaminess of the milk were just what I needed. They use the espresso Dharma for beverages in-store. The latte was extremely creamy and smooth. One of the samples I liked the best was the Honduras. It was slightly fruity but nutty at the same time. Can't wait to come back! read more

I've been living in NorCal for a while and I've had my fair share of coffee shops to visit. Temple Coffee Shop is among my favorite spots to find inspiration outside of my home office. The oat milk latte I tried on my recent visit was delightful - smooth, rich, and creamy. However, it was a tad more expensive than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee joints, but i think all shops are just getting more and more expensive. The barista - a friendly brunette whose name I unfortunately didn't catch - recommended their creme fraiche blueberry muffin, and boy, was that a great choice. It complemented my latte perfectly, providing a sweet and tangy kick to my morning. While I mainly visit Temple to switch up my work environment, their solid Wi-Fi is a definite perk. It's mostly reliable, though there have been occasions where it's been a little on the slower side. Still, the ambiance more than makes up for it. It's a place where one can think, create, and occasionally exchange a friendly chat with the staff or fellow patrons. Looking for a quiet spot to get some work done or just enjoy a quality cup of joe, I'd definitely recommend giving Temple Coffee Shop a shot. Thought this was a niche coffee spot but turns out they have many locations across Sacramento. We got the matcha latte with vanilla and affogato with earl grey ice cream. Both were great, the latte had a touch of sweetness from the vanilla syrup and the matcha was prominent.
