The almond croissant was DELICIOUS. The americano was pretty good. And that's all the positives. I'm visiting here from Washington state so this is my first and only time at temple. The staff were very uninterested and aloof. The chai was not the best, I wouldn't order it again. My husband hated the drip coffee, it was very watery. I switched to americano that was alright. Overall I felt it didn't meet the hype but I that almond croissant blew my socks off. I think most people come here for the ambiance which is beautiful but I didn't love the coffee or service. I would've given this less stars but my little cousins love this place deeply. So 4 stars instead of my personal experience which was closer to a 2. read more

Iconic penny floors! Temple is a great place to stop by for coffee. I ordered the orange cold brew with coconut cream. I didn't love my drink (a bit bitter), but I appreciate the unique offerings here. I came to try the mint and basil latte, but they were sold out for the day. I'm sure I would have loved my drink if I ordered a more basic option like a vanilla latte. The aesthetic in here is modern and industrial. There are penny floors and hanging bikes. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this location yet! I probably frequent this particular spot the most because it's a short walk away from the Midtown Farmers Market for a quick coffee fix. I love how spacious it is inside with the tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. I feel like it's the most iconic location too, with their unique penny flooring. The only downside to that is it can get pretty crowded, so if you come at the wrong time then you might not be able to score a table. The ambiance here is the definition of a coffee shop and just makes you want to sit down and enjoy the scenery! There are tables outside too but they're a little bit close to each other so they're not my favorite to sit at. Around the corner on the other side of the building there are some benches and that area tends to be less crowded. I like the layout of the ordering process also. A barista will take your drink order at the beginning of the bar, so that it's ready by the time you reach the register. Along the bar are all of their house coffee beans to the left and some merchandise to the right. The large pastry case is at the end, where you reach the register. I think my favorite is their strawberry jelly donut. It's a cake style donut which isn't typically my favorite but these donuts are so moist and fresh! My go-to drink is always their Thai tea. It's not the standard Thai tea you're thinking of from a Vietnamese restaurant or a boba place, and I still don't know what tea exactly is used but it always hits the spot! I've also had the Enlightenment before which is so perfect in the winter if you aren't in the mood for coffee, and if you order it for in-house, it comes with a cute little teapot to serve yourself. Looking for a great coffee stop in Midtown, well check out Temple Coffee. Visited this location for the first time on a weekday morning around 10am and it was quite busy. The line moved rather fast to order and the staff were really friendly. They have lots of indoor seating but fills up fast. On a nice day, you can sit outside since they had a few tables out. I ordered a iced vanilla latte with Oatmilk and banana bread which were both good. They had a variety of delicious looking pastries available. Also, there is free street parking near this coffee shop which was a plus. However, make sure to abide by the two hour time limit because the city of Sacramento parking enforcement does monitor and ticket in this area. read more

It looked very chic and hipster and I asked my sister what it was and she said it was only the best coffee spot in Sacramento....so I had to try it! It a very nice cafe inside. High ceiling, nice seating made out of wood, they have sofa and it's bright and airy inside. The counter is set up nicely and they have bagged coffee for sale. Absolutely adore the vibe of this location. I previously visited the Folsom one and thought that was nice but not this one knocked it out of the park for me. The interior was so welcoming and open and there is a lot of natural light. You can expect this one to be a little bit busier than all the rest but that really shows how many people frequent and adore this place. I got my usual which is a simple Oat Vanilla Latte but iced this time and it really just hit the spot. Really glad they moved out the awkwardly placed motorcycle in the lobby that blocked the flow from the entranceway. Hopefully that remains in someone's garage. Coffee-wise, I've had only flawlessly prepared drinks here by friendly baristas that take pride in the presentation of every cup. Although it was just a pit stop on the way through California, I could really see myself spending an extended period of time there in the future. This location is also a little hard to spot on the street when you're driving around, but trust your GPS! Parking is pretty good on Sundays especially if you come early, because there's no restrictions. Normally it's a 1-2 hour parking limit. Pre-pandemic, I would come here frequently because this location has amazing natural lighting. Now they have limited seating outside with tables in front and on the side under a tent. There's also a fair amount of bench seating. Anyway, drinks are always on point. Their espresso drinks are smooth, and doesn't leave the bitter, burnt aftertaste as with some other places. I like getting the Enlightenment drink, but decided to try one of their summer drinks, the quince espresso spritzer. It's slightly sour and sparkly, as the name suggests, but the drink was unexpected and refreshing. Definitely a unique offering! Service is amazingly friendly here! read more
