When we got there, everything was nice. It's quite spacious and open spaced. There was no one there so we were able to get our food quickly. The line was easy to go through, we got our meats then sides. I got a loaded potato with brisket and jalapeño sausage, and my family member got ribs and brisket. For sides we both got Mac n cheese and a roll. Dessert was banana pudding. Starting off with the potato, it was EHHH, really needed butter, the brisket gave it no extra flavor, it was also a SMALL potato (spring creek gives bigger potatoes) I was not impressed with that loaded potato, I only liked the house bbq the other one was way to vinegary for my taste but I have had better bbq sauces. The jalapeño sausage was nothing special, it was okay. My family member also was not impressed, said the ribs were okay and the brisket was DRY. Huge space of 75, the patio area is to die for and I can't wait for a little bit warmer Texas weather to enjoy it! The inside is massive and very Texas with wood and iron pieces. When we went it was 2ish on a saturday and they were dead, it was us and 2 other couples. They were out of ribs, so instead we had brisket, sausage, and pulled pork, green beans and Mac n cheese. I enjoyed the portion sizes but thought the sides could be a touch bigger All of the meats had amazing flavor and were very tender, the sausage was probably my favorite because it was so juicy. Finally had a chance to try Ten50 BBQ. I heard so much mixed reviews about the place. Yesterday, was the day I decided to see it for myself. I came around 6pm and looked like the dinner rush hasn't commenced yet. The set up is you get your meat, walk inside and get all the sides you can stuff your face with. I opted for the Two Meat Plate which comes with 2 sides or an order of a fried side. I had the brisket and pork ribs for my meat and had the mac'n cheese and beans for my sides. The meat- a lot of people have said their Brisket is one of the best in Dallas. Unfortunately, mine is on the dry side. I had a hard time eating it even sandwiching it in fat and lots of BBQ sauce (I may have just gotten a bad cut). Now, the pork ribs is a different story. As soon as a took a bite of it, I have this urge to do a little wiggle as it hit all my tastes buds. It was fall off the bone, tender and buttery like and really great with a little BBQ sauce. I'd definitely get this every time I eat here. The sides- mac'n cheese all the way!!! One of the best or I should say the best I've had in BBQ spot. It was creamy and cheesy and the macaroni still have that al dente bite. I almost lick the bowl and really wanted to ask for more. I'm going to double down on mac'n cheese next time. Tried this for the first time when my sister came from Chicago to visit and wanted some good Texas BBQ. Let me just say she was not disappointed. It is a cafeteria/assembly line style restaurant. You first walk straight up to the smokers to select your meat and then get a tray and move down the line to individually proportioned sides and a variety of sauces. At the end of the line you reach a register where you pay for everything then go to a drinking fountain for drinks. It was a unique experience with a good environment. There is indoor seating and little ally for outdoor seating. My main complaint is that by the time you get all your food and find a seat , half the food is cold so I almost wanted to microwave it. This is very unusual, everybody else prices by the pound. Pricing by the half pound is some gimmicky game to trick you into thinking they're not charging you 50% more than other top quality bbq joints in the area. It makes you feel like you're being lied to. For the price I cannot recommend Ten50. If money doesn't matter, it's good. But you can get bbq that's on par for much less money elsewhere. read more

As far as food it's just average, the biggest issue I have is it's priced as an elite bbq place which it's not. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was fine. Nothing that made you want to come back for that specific item. I didn't order sides but the others in my party did and all said most were less that expected. Cole slaw got a thumbs down as well as potato salad and beans. I did hear the corn on the cob and fried okra was very good. Visited Dallas for work, stayed in Richardson, and my trip would not have been complete without having some Texas prime barbecue! I tried a little bit of everything: prime brisket, house sausage, chicken torpedo, brisket torpedo, St. Louis pork ribs, and a side of green beans - all for about $33. The brisket and sausage were my absolute favorites. The St. Louis pork ribs were also delicious - on the sweet side, like Char Siu (Chinese BBQ pork, the red kind). The chicken and brisket torpedoes were good; they're a bacon wrapped jalapeno pepper stuffed with either chicken & jalapeno pepper cheese or brisket. It's a popular menu item worth trying at least once, but I wouldn't order it again. They have both inside and outside seating. You order your meats outside, and then there's more sides and seating inside with TV's - great for after work food and drinks and/or watching Thursday Night Football. Went here for the first time last night. Gotta say, I was pretty disappointed. This is the first BBQ place I've eaten that I said I won't come back. My wife ordered the baked potato with brisket. That was OK. I had some brisket and a couple of ribs. I also got corn on the cob and green beans. - ribs were tiny and had a LOT more cartilage that I had to eat around than I've ever had on ribs. - brisket was salty as all get out. I couldn't eat it. - I don't even know what was wrong with the green beans, but they were nasty. I guessed that maybe they used pickle juice or something in there because they just tasted wrong. - The corn on the cob I got was the fourth one the guy picked up from the water pan outside. When I asked for one, he grabbed one out of the pan and it was obviously nasty, so he just dropped it back in and grabbed another one. Did this a couple more times until he got one that looked decent. I don't know why I even bothered trying to eat it at that point, but it was undercooked anyway and totally unappetizing so I only took a few bites. In the end, the only things that were finished were the ribs and the key lime pie, which was fine. I got the two meat platter with brisket and turkey. Brisket was very good, tender and really nice smoke aftertaste. Turkey was extremely tender, not much smoke flavor but still very good. Sauce is sweet/vinegary. I got the potato salad and it was pretty good, a unique take on the classic version. The cole slaw was odd and not good. Would not get it again nor would I recommend. Instead of the crispy part of the cabbage you get the outer leaves. There was no flavor and no crunch that you expect from slaw. Yuk. Two bites and I was done. The burnt ends were not traditional cubes but slices and were the highlight of all the meats. I could have eaten just that and been perfectly satisfied. The ribs were also very good, they were cooked to the perfect balance of tenderness and chew. The sides were all pretty good. Brisket beans were okay, the snap beans were interesting, never had that style before and the onion rings were great. The star was the mac and cheese, so delicious. Carolina boy here and I'll say that this place is pretty solid. I'll round up to a 3.75 Overall this place was solid. Everything from the jalepeno smoked sausage to the brisket, to the shoestring fries were pretty much on point. Barbeque has its place in a lot of different areas of the country because of its popularity. I'm basing this review on literally dozens of other places I've eaten at and this place doesn't quite earn the 5 star banger. Very solid place that will keep people coming back but I have a few gripes that keep this from the 4.5 star. They dont slice their brisket against the grain as they should to avoid uneven tough and tender parts of each slice. They also slice incredibly unevenly. When you price by the half pound, you best be damn sure I get even slices of everything. Taste was good but execution was subpar. Also had the key lime pie. Generic store brand but good overall. They served it correctly for a pie that's pre-made. Happy, but not satisfied. I'd come back for sure but I wish I got better cut brisket. read more

Ten50 is easily the best BBQ I've had in Dallas. It's in a really cool renovated industrial building in an up and coming neighborhood north of Dallas. I'm not a huge fan of cafeteria style service but I can look passed it because the food was incredible. Don't sleep on the brisket torpedoes, fried okra, or Mac and cheese, they're incredible. Their brisket in general was amazing with perfect charring and seasoning. And unlike Terry Blacks, their meat was legitimately smoked and not just covered in artificial smoke flavoring. I also really enjoyed their jalapeño cheddar sausage, perfect texture and not overly spicy. I'd say skip the cold sides, we tried the coleslaw and potato salad but both fell short. I would complain that they needed more sauce options but who the heck puts bbq sauce on brisket this perfect?? Today, my main craving was to get a baked potato, because it was that type of day. I also got a small portion of slice beef and jalapeño cheese sausage, a chicken torpedo (bacon wrapped jalapeño with chicken), and one rib. My self-made sample meal cost about $14. The baked potato was a winner. All the meats were good and smokey, especially the rib and sliced brisket. The lunch came with a roll (soooo good). I only wished that my meat to kept its warmness/heat longer. The temperature did not hold very long but the taste was still good. The brisket was even better when I heated it up at home as leftovers.   The staff, pit crew, line servers, and floor managers were nice and welcoming.
