The wait staff was courteous and prompt. The place is clean and like a lounge bar. I think the place was overpriced to start, but with the addition of a drink, way overpriced for the value. This place is gross! There food is subpar at best. I was so disappointed. The décor is nice, but that is about it. We paid $32 for two adults, and two drinks. I wish we could have gotten our money back. Everything was extremely greasy, and oily. Granted Chinese food is normally oily, but that was really all you could taste. I would give it 1.5 stars. I went on a Sunday evening around 7-8 pm. Many of the foods did not look fresh, including some of the fruit and the raw fish of their sushi. Some of their raw oysters some had a stinky taste to them as if they were old or spoiled. Their lemons looked and felt old or slightly spoiled (they were soft). This one had less variety for their sushi bar and possibly items in general than the buffet on route 198 in Laurel called Grand E Buffet. Their lobster had too much batter on them and the meat was dry. I wonder if they reuse many of the food that is not eaten and use substitutions for some of their food (such as any of the raw fish and calamari) thereby lieing to their customers. The floor needed to be cleaned at this Teppanyaki place. I had a slight stomach ache after eating some of the oysters, but am not sure if they were the cause. I hope the health department inspects these buffets on a regular basis for sanitary conditions and spoiled food. It was also dirty and trash was falling out of their trash can outside of their restaurant. I don't think I will come here again unless everything is improved. read more

Not talking about food, but the COSTUMER SERVICE is HORRIBLE. I dont know because we were on the tour so the chinese waitress treat all of us like that or what. They dont even ask what we want to drink. They just put 4 empty cups on the table and fill only HALF CUP with hot tea and pepsi. NO ICE and STRAW at all. I look at the other customers's table and notice only the tours's customer were being treat like that.This is the buffet. We paying the same thing and dont know why. Until i ask one lady for some ice and straw, she gave me a rude look and then brought me a half cup of ice and one straw. Seriously? We have 4 people and you bring me one straw? The other customers from my tour notice something wrong too but they didnt speak up cause they came from other countries. I guess they think we were just been here once and never come back so they dont even mind to serve us. Even when i talk to the waitress, they just walk away and dont bother to answer. It was a clean restaurant for the most part, but the bathroom sinks grossed me out because there were tidbits of food left in 2 of 3 of the sinks. So the best was the sushi and the worst was the hibachi. Not sure if you can call it a hibachi as the selection on veggies( broccoli, green pepper, onions) and sauces are few and they dont even cut of your veggies or steak on the hibachi... my plate basically looked like a pile of lo mein and onions with a piece of steak on top. Afterwards we went for the chocolate fountain but no bananas :( so i grabbed some strawberries and a marshmallow, no scienece to this of course, it was good... just chocolate and fruit! The Husband and I live near a half dozen of these Chinese Buffets. Sakura was good at first but now it is all overcooked fish and tasteless Sushi. The Grand E Buffet was phenominal the first time but then 90% of the items have changed and it is as bad as the China Buffet (in Laurel) that should just be Greasy Fried Food Buffet. But there is one... one that has actually improved every time we go. Sure some days may not be as amazing as the others but they are always consistent. Some of the parts we love have actually gotten better. the Sushi has improved so much (but why is there pickle in some of them) and the dishes are always delcious (plus they have pepper chicken) -- Sure sometimes the kids run around and I usually do not do the choclate fountain (cause it isn't top notch chocolate) but everything else is good. And the price is good and it is fun to bring friends -- And the husband and I love to go there for lunch. But I am a fan and I will be back again and again. read more

This restaurant does not care about its customers that do not look like them. If you are Black or any other person of color(POC), be prepared to be treated unfairly, and rushed out without any remorse. My partner and I were rushed out of this establishment to accommodate 3 charter buses full of other Asians. Our drinks were never at the table, of which we had to ask someone other than our waitress to get us drinks. He pointed to our waitress signaling us to "ask her". He did not open his mouth until he realized said waitress did not want to get us drinks we paid for. I left my table for a maximum of five minutes to get food and my table was cleared off with a "reserved" sign thrown on it. At this point, I had been at the establishment for a total of 35 minutes. The gentleman next to us was there for 15 minutes, he got up for no more than 2 minutes and a napkin was shoved in his drink to accommodate a "reserved" sign. I left my table while I was eating due to the disgust I felt. I spoke with the manager about this treatment and he seemed hesitant about rectifying the issue. Prices keep going up but service and food quality and quantity keeps going down. They don't fill the trays with shrimp, oyster or other higher quality seafood in a timely manner.
