It's a small, hidden little place that I wouldn't have found if someone else didn't recommend it to me. Service and prices are pretty average. The food was great, I had the brown rice with pork katsu and a side of curry. The katsu was very crispy and still moist on the inside. It was also a pretty big cutlet compared to other places I've had it at.

My order: teriyaki chicken plate, steamed rice, potato salad & an extra side of veggies. Teriyaki kitchen offers a menu that is centered around well executed teriyaki meals with options like grilled chicken, beef & salmon. I've been here a couple of times and haven't tried anything besides their grilled teriyaki chicken plate. The chicken is grilled to perfection & then glazed with a rich & savory, sweet soy-based sauce. They also have spicy options. For the base, you have options between white, brown or fried rice. I've had both the white & brown rice and it's been great all times (yes, there is such thing as bad rice). As for sides; your options are potato salad, steamed veggies or broccoli. If you order to-go, ask them not to put the potato salad with the rest of the meal (unless you don't mind hot potato salad lol). I can't say enough about that potato salad, it almost carries the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would also like to note that this is a small establishment so there's not a whole lot of seating arrangements.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's located at the end of a shopping strip which makes it easy to drive by & miss. It does get busy during peak hours so call in your order if you're short on time. Ask for extra teriyaki sauce & hot sauce! Between my husband and I, we spend about $30.

It was just not to my liking. I ordered pork and got undercooked chicken. I took it back and they replaced the order due to it being undercooked and it was still not any better. It's an acquired taste so if you like it, you really like it if you don't you really really don't.

This small whole in the wall isn't much to the naked eye in terms of ambiance and it was a little bit of a wait in terms of service. The was absolutely worth it, they have a mouth watering bento box. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was, the California rolls were yummy. The Teriyaki shrimp and fried shrimp were absolutely off the chain. I would highly recommend this little gem for a great lunch pop in.

This has become our new favorite go to spot for some Asian food. We really like their Spicy Teriyaki chicken, it's packed with flavored the chicken is cooked to perfection sweet and spicy. The beef udon was a little underwhelming. It was packed it with more udon noodles with a thin top layer for beef, which was disappointing. Beef was flavorful however, I just wish there was MORE of it. The special fried rice is your combination rice of beef and chicken mixed nothing different from your usual fried rice that you get from there. I would say overall Spicy Teriyaki is our fav!

This restaurant caps the end of an old strip block. It doesn't look like much outside, but the interior is modern and pleasant. You order and pay up front and the food is brought out to you. We ordered a few teriyaki plates and the katsu chicken plate. For each teriyaki plate, you have the option of white or brown rice, and stir-fried vegetables or potato salad. Other options are available for extra cost. The teriyaki chicken and spicy teriyaki chicken has a smoky flavorful taste. Portions are decent.

Okay, I wasnt expecting that. We ended up getting the salmon bento, the seafood panjeon and chicken teriyaki. And two waters. My friend got something else. We sat down off to the side. They had a few sauce bottles. One was definitely teriyaki, sambal and this sweet but savory sauce. The food came out relatively quick. The portion sizes were a bit bigger than I thought they'd be (esp w/ the teriyaki). I thought the food was okay. I like the different textures the bento box offered, and the veggie deep fried choices were varied. The chicken teriyaki was savory. I really did like the seafood panjeon. It felt like the shrimp was stuffed and very hearty. This place isnt bad!

Stopped in to grab something for lunch before I got to work but I wanted something I never had before. This placed popped up as I was searching through yelp and of corse I look for the higher ranking stores. This place definitely fell in line of what I was looking for. I got the chicken teriyaki plate and it was just so good. It was definitely a simple plate like something I can make at home but this was something I'd definitely come back to get and tell people to stop by and try it it they like teriyaki chicken. Now of corse they have other options than just chicken, I also got a side of the egg rolls and they were perfectly crispy and warm. Can't wait for my next meal.

Shaggy dog and spider roll were great. Crab meat roll was a miss for me , too fishy tasting.

I have been to this place a number of times since I have a class over here. I absolutely love it. They food is always cooked perfectly. The flavor is great. It is cooked fresh to order. Ingredients are fresh. The owners are here everyday and might be the sweetest people ever. I have only had the Teriyaki plates and TK box but I imagine the katsu, curry, sandwiches etc will all live up to the excellence as well. read more

YAAAASSSSS! My boyfriend and I came for a small dinner today and LET ME TELL YOU, do NOT hesitate to come here and try out their food. Let me summarize this place for those who want a quick review: inexpensive for the portion of food you're getting, great quality for the food, and large quantity of food. My boyfriend and I got the fried dumplings (5pc for $3), chicken soba ($7.50) and pork katsu ($8.50). Fried Dumplings: crispy and delicious Chicken Soba: flavorful and filling Pork Katsu: crunchy and yummy We had enough food to fill us up as well as enough to pack for togo. I'm originally from California and after moving to Texas a year and a half ago I have not been able to find a single place that does just teriyaki. I had been craving even something like Yoshinoa or Flame Broiler but had no success until I found this place! It is the best teriyaki I have ever had--all the ingredients are fresh, the sauces aren't to sugary or salty, and the portions are perfect. We had the chicken and beef combo plate along with some dumplings and kimchi. It was all perfect! read more

Went there 3 times already. Great food. Everything is always fresh. The Spicy Teriyaki sauce is pretty awesome. I wish they sold that sauce by itself for a few bucks. I surely would buy it. The ambiance is very casual and is a good place to go for a quick bite to eat. The location is amazing considering that it's only 5 minutes away for me! Haha. Definitely another one for the books in the heart of Spring Branch. read more

So great to find this in the neighborhood! Cute, on trend décor, clean, fresh ingredients, friendly service......yum. I had chicken soba and it was so good.....maybe just a little too much teriyaki sauce. Cabbage under the udon noodles helped keep it from being TOO sweet. Nice veggies....would have liked a few more carrots and green onions. I would order again and have the sauce on the side. Hubby had combo plate with spicy pork and beef with steamed vegetables and white rice. He loved it but he would like more veggies too. We had dumplings and egg rolls and the kimchi....all good. I don't like kimchi and I liked this. 4 of us ate appetizers and entrees for $46.00. The only real negative was that we were the only ones in the place!! read more

I picked up a spicy teriyaki chicken plate, sadly no delivery yet, but it was a quick process. I called in my order and it was ready to go as soon as I got there. Just WOW. Don't let the outside fool you. This place is wonderfully modern and decorated on the inside and the food is AMAZING. The beef was really tender and had awesome flavor. I've had/used yelp for a long time and this is my first ever review because I was that happy with my decision to come here. I got the beef terriyaki ($7.5) and the fried dumplings ($3) both AMAZING. I definitely could've just eaten the beef terriyaki (ended up taking some home) but I really wanted to try the dumplings (well worth it)! You can tell everything is home made and they take pride in their food. I will be back soon!! read more

Very nice atmosphere inside. Very clean. The food was pretty good nothing to write home about. The chicken teriyaki is grilled and the teriyaki sauce is drizzled on top after it's cooked. It's not cooked and simmered in the sauce. I was disappointed with the fried rice, to me it seemed like it was just the brown steamed rice, that's not fried rice ppl. Plus I got charged extra which I don't mind but I expected fried rice. The eggrolls were good. read more

Tried this cute, new restaurant today with coworkers! The interior is clean and modern and the menu is simple -- not an overwhelming number of options but enough to want to come back and try new things. I got the chicken tonkatsu with a side of veggies. The veggies were a simple mix of cabbage, broccoli, and carrots -- very tasty and healthy. I found the chicken to be well cooked but it was mostly dark meat, whereas I prefer white meat. The breading was crunchy and super tasty though and the portions are generous. As an added bonus, they are offering $1 off each meal in the month of February (I don't remember the exact end date though). Overall, a good experience and I would definitely come back! read more

One star for the décor and one star for the service. As for the food; we ordered the egg rolls, the beef box, and the salmon plate. The egg rolls were greasy, the beef box was a.o.k. but a bit too sweet for my liking, and the salmon was tasteless. I did enjoy the tempura shrimp and veggies. This place is great! The service and atmosphere is pleasant. The teriyaki bowls are great, and best of all, they have kimchi! Never thought of eating my Japanese teriyaki with Korean Kimchi but now it's my new favorite pair. They also are really chill about subbing. A large portion for a really decent price. I've only had the teriyaki plates for lunch twice, but when my bill comes out under $10 for that, I'm happy. My one complaint (I'm not a super-foodie either) was that the sauces seemed a little syrup-y, which might be a turn-off for some people. Other than that, the cashier was cordial but otherwise non-intrusive. If I was in the area I wouldn't mind going back. read more

The fam and I don't do fancy but when we moved from WA state, we NEEDED a teriyaki home base. We stumbled into this one a few years back and haven't gotten Teriyaki anywhere else since. We moved an hour away but still travel to this one specifically due to the delicious food and amazing customer service. read more

Teriyaki Kitchen is a family owned restaurant located on Gessner and January 9th, 2017 was our opening date! Our head chef is a previous teriyaki restaurant owner of 15 years from Portland, Oregon. Everything we make at TK is made daily with fresh ingredients and we make all of our own teriyaki sauces from original, spicy, sweet and sour, and many more. We highly encourage anyone who is around the area to stop by and try our tasty and affordable dishes as well as enjoy the atmosphere of the modern look we tried to create for our customers here at TK! The side dishes are delicious, the meat is delicious, and the soup is delicious. We've also ordered seafood and pork dishes in the past, and they were excellent as well. I especially appreciate the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. I had decided to visit this place based on the reviews and a friend of mine highly recommended it. So I went. I did not get disappointed. The waitress was polite and friendly with us. I ordered the beef teriyaki. As I am a big fan of beef, I always try a beef dish as a gauge to see if the restaurant is good for my tastes. I have to say it was delicious! The whole dish was amazing! The sauce was the key and it tasted very good. Just enough to have a great taste on the beef and the vegetables. I highly recommend this place for the great food and the friendly staff! read more

This is a good stop for if you're looking for a nice, quick meal. From the outside, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall kinda spot. You walk in and order, then sit down and wait for them to bring you your meal. The wait time is pretty short. The price starts at $7 and they have a pretty extensive menu as this is a fusion place. The food itself is mediocre, in my opinion. Both the chicken teriyaki and soba noodles were on the sweeter side (I believe that they mainly cater to American tastes).
