This is the perfect spot if you are in the Glendale neighborhood and you are craving Japanese (not sushi). I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here as there are so many good Japanese Teriyaki places around town. That being said, there are not a lot of quality places in Glendale. This spot isn't just quality though; the owner is super nice and always greets you with a smile and pleasantries. Get the BBQ Ribs plate or Omega3 Plate if you are really hungry. I always add a spicy tuna bowl on the side. They also have a great mustard dressing for their salad and a spicy Teriyaki sauce that I could basically put on any dish. Enjoy! read more

Well, I am not sure what this place is supposed to be. With a name like Teriyaki Me it would seem obvious. But they have a lot of non-teriyaki items on the menu. We got the Family Fest, which consisted of salad, rice, potstickers, tempura veggies and shrimp, chicken skewers, and beef skewers. A lot of food for $20 ! But it was not that good. The chicken and beef were that sort of Armenian kabob style. Both were very dry and not flavourful. The tempura was too heavily breaded and I think the "wrong" kind of batter. The gzoya were pan fried and far too crispy. The rice and teriyaki sauce were good. All in all, there are too many better choices a stones throw away in Glendale to bother coming back here. read more

Ordered the bulgogi combo ($2 more) which comes with salad and 3 pieces of tempura (shrimp, onion, and potato). The salad was just lettuce with a smidgin of mustard dressing. The bulgogi was ok, had lots of onions, and they do give plenty of rice. I thought the tempura sauce was too salty for my taste. Prices are still the same as pictured in the photos, which is pretty reasonable. Service was prompt for a weekday at 6pm. The owner was there watching baseball on tv. He was friendly and kicked back. read more

Food is ok. I love short ribs! who doesn't? The teriyaki mixed with hot sauce is yummy. The ambiance is cool. small but cute and trendy. Teriyaki sauce is too salty, and the tempura sauce is not tempura sauce. Also the side salad with their plates is not so good the dressing is some kind of mustardy stuff (not a fan of mustard.) The chicken was dry and I never ordered it again but I have gone back so don't write this place off. I ordered chicken tenderloin the next time (katsu) and it was much better. there's lot's of options on the menu and i haven't tried enough to call it quits just yet. I simply order with no side salad and get double rice instead ;) besides there's a soda fountain so I can wash the strong teriyaki sauce down with loads of sugary soda :P read more

A group of eight of us headed over to Portos in Glendale and we were saddened at the fact it was closed. We didn't care to check the hours on a Sunday. We were all hungry so were yelped for a place close by that was reasonable in cost. We found Teriyaki Me. It was a small little fast food Japanese spot with nice interior. I love the "eat well everyday" sign on the wall. My husband and I shared the Yakisoba with Chicken. It was good. Not the best I have ever had, not the worst. We demolished the entire thing. Nothing left. Two people in our party ordered Tempura, which I tried, but they said the tempura sauce was bad. I had to try it for myself... and It was no Bueno. I could eat it alone without the sauce though. Two people ordered Aaron Special, which they enjoyed. They kept raving about the brown rice. I didn't get to try it. There was a TV inside so if you ever are worried about missing your sports... well, you don't have to! Tips: You need to order at least $10 worth of food to use credit Sauces for everything are next to the soda machine. Ask for water at the register. Would I go back? I went to this place with a few coworkers recently and I was pleasantly surprised of the freshness and tastiness of the food. This place hits the spot for lunch. I ordered the teriyaki chicken which came with tempora, salad, and rice. After ordering I realized I should have just ordered Brian's special which was the same price and same thing, but included a few pieces of gyoza. I quickly asked the lady if I could change my order, but she said I wouldn't be able to because my chicken was already cooking and evidently the two had different chickens. She did however include three pieces of gyoza to my meal for no additional charge. This is a small restaurant and can get packed during lunch hour. My combo I had ordered came out to be around $7, not bad for everything you get. Put fresh food with good company together and it is absolutely priceless. read more

Came here for dinner ... At first nothing really looked appetizing but then I saw a man eating a Bulgogi bowl - so that's what I decided to try- Bulgogi bowl with brown rice. My boyfriend had the Chicken Teriyaki plate. The food turned out to be really good and the bulgogi wasn't greasy so it seem pretty healthy too - also like that it wasn't just a beef bowl but a bulgogi bowl. however the downside is there's no veggies like Flame Broilers beef bowl. To add veggies it was another 6 dollars! the price for the extra stuff is almost ridiculous - because the most dishes were already 7-8 dollars. and if you for instance wanted veggie added to the bulgogi bowl then it would cost you about 13 dollars ... which is very overpriced. even though the food tasted good - I don't think it should cost that much. The service was okay...not much service since you order up front and they just bring you the food - or as I've seen for some they just call out your order and you get it yourself. The place is small - and at first I was kind of annoyed cause I really needed to pee and I thought they didn't have a restroom but they do - it's a single one in the back of the kitchen - which was kind of dirty and small...but well used it anyways. So they say the third time is a charm right? I am giving this place one extra star for now, but I'm still hovering around a 2 and low 3. This place is still not up to par for me. Maybe it has something to do with the meat continuing to cook as I make my way back to my office, but each time I come back, the meats are always overcooked. This last time seemed decent enough. I ordered the rib special. The first time I had the short ribs, they were super charred and dry. This time, the ribs were less charred and retained some of the moisture so that it was at least edible. The chicken was still on the dry side for my taste. The side salad was sadly still drowning in its dressing and the rice was perfect this time. One of these days I'm going to have to eat in and see if it makes a difference. read more

The staff was super friendly and explained the menu to me right away after I told them I had never been in before. I gave them an idea of what I was looking for. I went with the cashiers recommendation and I don't regret it. It was delicious! The chicken is juicy. The sauce is flavorful. The rice is fluffy. Not one complaint! So this place is right next to Legacy Comics and Card shop so my friend and I decided to come here to grab a bite. Those specials are so worth it! I got the Brian Special and my friend got the Aaron special. The Brian special came with 5 gyoza, tempura (2 vegetable and 1 shrimp), salad, and chicken teriyaki with rice. All for under $8 after tax! The tempura was good and well fried. The gyoza was good as well. The chicken had a lot of flavor to it and wasn't dry! At other places I would usually drench my rice and chicken with the teiryaki sauce they give me but mine stayed unopened the whole time! They actually left out the gyoza in my friend's order so when he walked back across the street, they gave him free shrimp tempura as an apology! Nice place, good service. This is probably my favorite place to get teriyaki ever! I'm usually not a big fan, but this place made me fall in love with teriyaki! They have chicken, salmon, beef and shrimp. Their combos include rice, tempura and their house salad which is so good!!! Portions are big and if you get the combo with 2 skewers you can add an extra skewer for $3.50 and easily share with someone. I love how their chicken is actually chicken breast and good cuts of the poultry you can actually see. Their homemade hot sauce is amazing as well and the perfect topping for the food!! So glad I found a nearby place to satisfy that umami craving when I'm confused about what to eat!!! Also, their restaurant is clean and the people working there are super friendly and nice! I almost don't want to share how much I love this place. It's seriously a hidden gem! This was my second time ordering lunch. The first time my co-worker and I ordered delivery and the food was mm mm SO good! So yesterday I was trying to figure out what to eat for lunch and remembered how awesome Teriyaki Me! is! I went in around 1'oclock and it took around 15 minutes for my order to complete. Everything was PERFECT! Good spot to get some lunch. My favorite is the chicken breast teriyaki. Their prices are pretty reasonable and your order is prepared fairly quickly which is a plus if you are on a short break/lunch. What I didn't like was the fact that they use iceberg lettuce for their salads which is basically empty food with no nutritional value whatsoever. Secondly, ordered the tuna meal, which set me back $10, and it only came with a flat scoop of tuna. I think for $10, they should provide at least 2 scoops considering that you can get a scoop a la carte for $5. read more

WOW! Seriously the best teriyaki bowl I have ever had in my life, and coming from me, that is a huge thing! I always order the tender chicken (white meat) over brown rice! It is soooo darn good, I find myself always craving it. I've tried their shrimp bowl, its good but not as good as the tender chicken. Not only is this place delicious but its healthy. One thing I will add is that, they are very generous with the teriyaki sauce in their bowls, so adding any extra teriyaki would just drench the rice and just be too much to handle, well I guess unless you're a teriyaki lover!
