I have a friend who works here and it's probably an individuals fault but you buy a 50k plus car you would expect a clean nice shiny car what I got was not the case... 2 weeks time I had to go into the center 5 times just for various issues ...I like the car and how it drives but the I shouldn't have gone through what I did at delivery ...just not happy and disappointed Tesla Doesn't realize clients are most important ... I now hesitate to refer my client to Tesla ... 2022 appears to have more EVs coming out .. let's see who can provide decent customer service read more

I love my model X but no spare tire and not easy to find a replacement. Flat on Saturday, no tire at Costco. Tesla would provide towing to Service Center which is closed weekends. Left the car in Costco's parking space because Auahi St. Is sketchy. Being towed now but can't get a live person on the phone to give a heads up and estimate of when I can get my car back. read more

Delivery center is in a very dumpy area of town. They basically pointed to your car and say here you go bye! The first time driving the car I had to back out of a very busy crowded parking lot. No orientation no congratulations nothing! It was really anti-climactic and not like other luxury vehicles. Were they make it a special event when you take delivery of your car and make you feel good about the purchase. They all act as if they pretty much don't care about the customer or the business. read more

Very disappointed with the Tesla. I will not purchase the Tesla again in the future.Their services are so bad. I had ordered the model Y on Oct.6th in Honolulu. And I got the information about the delivery on my model Y via text message. It informed me the delivery date would be Nov.25th. I prepared the insurance and completed the payment. But on the day before the delivery I got the phone call which told that your model Y is at the HONOLULU airport and delayed to be delivered. I visited Tesla and Tesla's person says my vehicle stays at Honolulu port and will be delivered in the early next week. I had already returned my previous car to prepare to get the delivery. BUT, I got the phone call from Tesla Honolulu and they say the vin of my Model Y has changed and please change the insurance information.So, I quickly send the new vin number to my agent of insurance. After that, Tesla's website indicates the delivery date is 12/4 Friday. I called my insurance agent and told him the date. BUT, I got a text message about my delivery and this says we are ready to deliver and please confirm the appointment to get your car.I booked the appointment on Dec.6th 10:00am. (I have some golf schedules this week and I'm in trouble because of the delay of car delivery) and called Tesla Honolulu. Tesla's person says your delivery date is confirmed on Sunday and we open on Sunday. BUT, I called again and another person replied and said that your Model Y is still at CALIFORNIA port and we are not sure of your delivery date. I'm very surprised and confused. Each person, website, each text message says differently. I'm wondering why they did not inform the exact date from the beginning. NOW, I'm still waiting for the delivery. My portal website indicates estimated delivery: Jan31-Feb 6. What is the original delivery date Nov.25?? I have to keep the auto insurance for non-existent car for 2 months! I waisted the money. I cannot understand this condition. And, on the website my VIN number has been changed many times. Do they have me change the insurance information many times?? I'm very disappointed with the Tesla for this unkind treatment and confusion. Do they do the treatment for delivery like this usually? This representative person is Ms.K. It's a first and bad experience for me with the car dealer in Hawaii. Tesla is popular with Japanese people but I have to report this unexpected incident to Japanese readers to understand Tesla's reality. He gave me the best knowledge on the ins and outs of a Tesla along with assisting me in getting the vehicle fully charged before my client took delivery. Far superior service to their California counterparts! I was presently surprised when, after scheduling a service appointment on the app, the staff at Tesla contacted me to state that the service would take most of the day. They suggested I bring the car by early in the day and they also suggested adding a couple of things to the service based on the record. I was promptly and courteously greeted and given an Uber voucher for the day. They kept me posted via the app and the car was all fixed up, charged and ready to go by the end of the day. Wasn't sure what to expect with the limited services due to covid19. used the app to schedule an appt. I needed a screw removed from my tire so I knew that this was something that could only be troubleshooted at the dealership. I parked in the lot, texted that I had arrived and within a couple of minutes, I was greeted by a staff, my issue was evaluated and I was done. I was offered an Uber card but didn't needed it as I had a ride. My car was done the same day. Excellent, no contact service! No wash or vacuum :( but that's okay- hey, my tire was repaired! Only issue was the payment with the app- it doesn't work. I was forewarned but kept trying.....but it was simple enough to walk in and swipe in person. read more

FYI - the Tesla mobile service van does NOT provide this type of service despite being able to schedule it on the Tesla mobile app, so don't use it for that and call them direct! read more

My husband and I leased a Model 3 in July 2019 and we enjoy driving our first electric car. The employees at the service center are cordial and helpful. Unfortunately, for an unknown reason, the manager has not been able to get us a corrected copy of the Certificate of Title(number of our address is off by 1 digit). Since it is impossible to connect to a live person at the number listed(680-9260), we have had to personally visit the service center twice. The last time on 3/4/20, we spoke with the center manager who assured us that we would receive the corrected form. It is now 3 months later, and we have not received it nor received a call from anyone. I hope someone from Tesla reads these reviews.....but how would it help my situation since Tesla wouldn't know how to reach me by this post? Hopefully, the manager would be able to figure it out..if he is still employed with Tesla. read more

A recall for the sensor, went to get it service. Melissa greeted me promptly when I walked in and told me it might be quite a wait for the service. I told her I will get something to eat at the nearby restaurant while waiting. About 1 1/2 hours later while walking back to Tesla, Melissa called me to tell me my car is ready to be picked up. She came outside and gave me my key back. I was very appreciative of her attentive! read more

Purchased (2) model Y's for me & my son and 1 for my mom. Set up appointments two weeks prior with Autumn to inspect my moms car on 9/22 and told her we have reservations with YB to ship out on 9/23 and I need to be there at 9:45. Got to Tesla at 9:30am on 9/22 to inspect car, was told by Autumn that she wasn't expecting me until 4pm (When did we set a time for that?), She said the car was at another lot and if I could come back at 11:30. Fine, I went back and she took us to where the car was. I looked at it and she said that it would be cleaned again and charged before I take it tomorrow. I ask her what time would she like for me to come and get it in the morning. She tells me 4pm would be good. WTH I told you in my emails and just that day that I have to be there at 9:45. She agrees that 9am would be good. I get to Tesla on 9/23 at 8:50am and wait in the waiting room until 9:28am, getting nervous that I am going to miss our res. appointment with YB, I walk outside and Autumn tells me that the car is on its way, so I tell her that I guess it wasn't cleaned then, and she replies, "no I told them to do it yesterday". OMG! I had to bite my tongue cause this place is so unorganized, but did not want to cause a scene. I then reminded her that my (2) cars are scheduled to be shipped out the following morning at 7am, which she had scheduled, not me. I received a phone call the next day at 10:30am that she had to reject the cars because they had paint imperfections and scratches which need to be repaired. At this point I'm boiling thinking girl you set up the transportation company to pick up the vehicles and only now you inspect them?! Such poor planning. on our way to the airport, my husband wanted to stop by and look at the damages to the car, Autmn brings it out for us and tells us, "I'm on my lunch right now", yup great customer service! I sit in their waiting room watching numerous employees walking around not doing anything, except for one worker, named Brian, who was practically running in & out helping people, now that's customer service!! I asked their manager, Angelo, if we could be compensated because of this and his exact words were, "NO". I asked again, not even a charger? And got a "NO". Told him that they have poor service and that I am afraid to even buy a TESLA with this kind of service!! Tesla needs to vamp up their service and weed out their lazy, unprofessional, unorganized employees!!!!! Will be calling and emailing this to Tesla Corp office on Monday. read more

Generally outstanding service, except when it came to mounting my license plates to the Model 3. The front bracket was well positioned and centered. When I got home, I noticed that the license plate with the registration sticker was mounted on the front. So when I switched them around, I had a unusually difficult time remounting the rear license plate with the safety check holder. After about 15 minutes, I noticed that one of the screws from the front bracket was mixed up with the rear bracket screws (the rear bracket has finely threaded machine screws and the front bracket had something similar to a coarse wood screws, otherwise they look very similar). Luckily, I didn't force the wrong screw in and the threads were not severely stripped on either bracket. I would give 5 stars, but there should be no errors on something as simple as mounting license plates. read more

I'm actually a huge fan of my Tesla and I absolutely love everything Elon! That's why it pains me to give the service center a 3 star review. My X is by far the most fun and exciting car I've ever had. It was responsible for making me love driving again! However, it's nearly impossible to talk to a live person when you need to. Everything is done through an app and there are some situations where an app won't cut it. For example, I've been having lots of problems with wheel alignment, etc... I actually don't feel safe driving my kids in the car because it shakes and rattles. I need to get it fixed, but the soonest appointment I can get is one month away! How is that safe? I can't drive around for the next month as the problem becomes worse and probably a lot more dangerous. I understand that they might be having staffing shortages like everyone else, but when it comes to safety, you cannot let a customer wait that long. (Especially with the premium price we pay for parts and service.) I hope they can fix these problems soon and restore Tesla to its former glory. read more

This was the worst customer service I've come across in any business. You'd expect good to decent service from a multi-billion dollar company. I bought a brand new Tesla and two weeks in, the computer crashes. In case you're wondering, the computer is the car. The touch screen went black and I couldn't see my speedometer (I was driving), what gear I was in, turn on windshield wipers (it was raining at the time), control the A/C etc. Long story short I had no idea what was going on. I pulled over, had no idea if accelerating or braking would work since they all run through the computer. I took my car in the next morning and Stephanie told me I needed a new computer. She rented me a Hyundai and said it would take about a week to get parts and installed. It was 3 weeks. 3 weeks to get one part for a brand new car. I had to call Stephanie every few days to get some sort of update since the original delivery never came in or was made up just to keep me off their backs. You'd think someone buying a brand new Model Y would have some precedence on getting fixed quicker. Except my car was in the shop longer than I owned it. So now I have a refurbished vehicle and no compensation for all my trouble. I was offered free maintenance for a year, there's no maintenance on a Tesla! And I was offered leather floor mats to find out they don't make them for the model Y. The absolute worst experience! read more

Wow. I'm going from 1 star back up to 5....I jacked up my steering wheel electrical column by snapping off the wheel before removing an electrical connection. My dumb fault. This happened on Friday.. Drove it in and dropped it off. I was supposed to get an estimate after the troubleshooting to see what was needed. I called in Monday to see status. I was told it was complete. Yay. I went to pick it up and they had replaced stuff I didn't need replaced. Suprise! OK, I was angry and let it be known here... Long story short. They're taking responsibility which is a huge relief. Very much appreciated. Note to others... Check eBay for parts first if you like to mod, but jack something up. Just sayin. read more

I love my Tesla 3 and I love my Tesla Service Center. When I picked up my car In August of last year they went out of their way to make her pick-up a super special moment. And I'll never forget that. Since then I've had to come back several times, usually to get pointers on things I don't understand about my car, and people have always been so gracious. A special shout out to my technician JT, and in Service- Brian and Edie. But really, everyone is great and I feel bad leaving anyone out. If your car needs to be held for longer than one day they make sure you get a substitute. I got to drive a later model S that way! They are always super understanding of my unintelligent questions and then always very accommodating to get me in as quickly as possible. They exemplify "great service with a smile"! read more

It's not like there's a choice about where you're going to get your Tesla serviced, but nonetheless the service here is outstanding. We ended up making a number of visits here in the course of buying and picking up my wife's 70D, and then in getting some minor problems checked out and applying a firmware update which wasn't going right in the field. I'd single out Timothy in service for special praise, but there really wasn't one rude or careless person in the bunch. *Everybody* we dealt with here at any point was extremely friendly, easygoing, dedicated, and helpful. If you do need to leave your car for any repairs or examination, they are great about providing rides, and if you have to leave it for a longer period in our experience they're very likely to loan you a replacement Model S or Model X for the interim. read more

I brought my Model 3 in for service to fix what I thought was a crack in my windshield and a crooked frunk (front trunk). Melissa checked it and fixed both problems right away. The "crack" was left over primer on the inside windshield and she cleaned it off with a spray cleaner and razor blade. She then showed me how to adjust the rubber stoppers on the frunk hood to even it out. She was so friendly and explained everything to me while she was working on my car. I received a call at the end of June from a sales agent saying if I don't go online and place an order for a new vehicle over the next couple of days, there would be no chance of receiving a new vehicle by the end of September (end of my current lease). This happened on a couple of consecutive days. After asking what was my total risk and being told the $100 deposit and nothing else, I placed the order. I anticipated the new vehicle to be delivered mid to late September, which is what I was told. I had a business trip in the beginning of August and received a text saying my car was ready for pickup. I responded back; I'm currently on travel for two weeks and will schedule something when I get back. The sales transition person and I had a brief discussion where I was told I only have 3-5 days to get the car or they will sell it to someone else. I said, I'm not changing my travel plans just to pickup the vehicle and if its your policy then go ahead and sell it to the next customer in line or you can wait for me to return. The rep responded; let me check with my manager and get back to you, okay we'll make the exception and hold it for a couple more days until you get back. I arrive back, schedule a day to look at the car one day prior to scheduled pickup and was told to out process the current lease I have. I went through the process and was later told, Tesla no longer does early lease termination and I would need to have two vehicles on lease. Maybe someone should've said that from the beginning? This would've been my 3rd lease going from a Model S 70, to a Model S P100D to a Model S Plaid. I guess Tesla is big enough that loyal customers are no longer needed and hardcore sales tactics are being used to pressure you to get your order in NOW and by the way, you also need to pickup NOW and possibly carry two leases. Watch the direction this company goes with those tactics! read more

We were so completely blown away by the sales experience buying our new Tesla Model 3. The car was awesome. The product specialist was super knowledgeable and friendly. We were so impressed. We were completely sold! Order process was clunky. We got notified our car had arrived and was ready for pick up. Made an appointment. Showed up one hour early. Showroom/Service Department completely dead. No customers. Asked if we could be helped or if we should return at our appointment time. "Have a seat in our waiting room and I will let them know you are here." OK pretty cool right? Wrong! One hour later I had to go and ask what the deal was with getting our Tesla. "Oh, we will be right with you." At that point we were beyond our original scheduled time and still waiting. The delivery person was nice but really blew through the delivery process not explaining everything. I asked my wife "Does this thing have video games?" She said "I think so, but I don't really know. How do you turn it on?" My wife drives her new Tesla off of the showroom floor only to call me minutes later asking how to turn the car off. Evidently, when you put it in park and walk away it shuts down. I Googled it and saw volumes of people asking the same dumb question. I guess Elon designed an awesome car but the not an awesome delivery process/experience for his new customers. Too bad. Totally alienated new enthusiastic customers to his product making them feel "dumb". For all the money we spent we were treated like we didn't really matter. Just another car. Just another delivery. The delivery was done in their service department. No life. No smiles. No friendly welcoming feelings. Felt like a total number. Fancy single brew coffee machine- no coffee or tea out for customers. Two flat screen TV's turned off with no remote for use. Toy space with just (3) toys for kids to play with. No one to check on us. Just sat there for over an hour with no communication. My deduction-Tesla Service Sucks Bigtime!! Sucks even more because I think they have a superior product compared to the market. I was sure I would be selling my truck (and my gas bill) in the near future to buy another Tesla. After that crappy job, I believe I will be hanging on to my Silverado (gas bill and all). At least my dealer makes me feel like a valuable human being when I am there. Not so much at Tesla of Honolulu. Complete fail! read more
