I go to Texas roadhouse for lunch every Sunday to get the 10.99 sirloin special I work across the street this Sunday when I got there I asked for the same thing I always get I was treated like it was an inconvenience to take my order I ordered water because I am diabetic and that seemed to be a problem as well I waited over 5 minutes to get my water while she was standing doing nothing . I had to ask again I was never offered any rolls which is one of the reasons I go there for lunch . when my food arriver I even had to ask for silver where to eat my food which I got from the lady that brought me my food . it was not very busy and I think the servers name was Rebecca I can go anywhere to eat and probably go somewhere else this Sunday read more

Second time there. It was ok the first time but the second time was not good. Our server was friendly but didn't refill my iced tea. My wife was happy with her burger and my daughter liked her steak. I had the grilled shrimp with a Caesar salad and fresh vegetables. The fresh vegetables were good, steamed broccoli and carrots. My salad was drowning in dressing and I could only stand half of it. The shrimp and rice were uber salty and oily. The shrimp came with a side of melted butter but was already swimming in it. I doubt I will go back as there are too many restaurants (Like Taco King on E. 88th) that always have great food. read more

The staff is very friendly here!! They all greet you when you come and leave. The servers have all been nice and the food great. Cheaper compared to other steakhouses here. I usually order the ribeye and shrimp but have also tried there bbq roasted half chicken and apps. The rolls and honey butter are addictive. Def would recommend this place. It can be loud with the music and dancing so i have no problem bringing my toddler and infant here for lunch/dinner. Family friendly atmosphere for sure. read more

It was ok. One of us had the ribeye & rib combo and one had the steak kabob. Both were ordered medium rare but were more medium done when we got them. The steak is thin so if it sits for a little while in the window it will continue to cook and I think that's what happened. The ribeye was also kind of weird and it came out in several small peieces. Strange. We also had the cajun onion which was your standard deep fried onion flower. They did not put the peanuts on our table and the hostess, waitress nor the manager whom all came to our table at least once noticed it. I waited to see if anyone would. The combo plate came out without the ribs and we had to ask for them. By the time they came out we were over half way through our meals. I know everyone raves about the bread but to me it tasted just like heated up Hawaiian buns you can buy at the grocery store. I like them but I don't think they are something to rave about. Add some cinnamon & sugar to some butter and spread on a heated Hawaiian roll and you have the same thing. It is very loud in there but I expected that. To me it's just like an Outback or a Lonestar just with different names for the same entrees. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. The service was pretty good but I did have to ask them to repeat themselves several times as they talk fast and it's real loud in there. Very very mediocre meal. The onion flower was alright and the bread basket was tasty once we finally got it since the hostess forgot it. For my main course I got the Serloin and shrimp combo with a Caesar salad and fries and everything was very low quality. It tasted like they went extremely overboard on the salt on everything, the fries had way too much salt, the shrimp had way too much salt, even the steak had a solid layer of salt on it. My dad loves salt and even he said it was too much. The only thing that didn't have too much salt was the salad but even that tasted like it was from a grocery store. There are so many great restaurants in Anchorage to get steak (Sullivan's, Haute quarter grill, Ginger, Brewhouse just to name a few) so don't even waste your time on this place. Me and my fiancé were there for the first time last Sunday Feb 22nd for dinner around 730pm. Right when we were seated there were empty peanut shells in a bucket. Our waitress was nice but forgot our drinks; we got them close to when our food came out. They overcooked my fiancé's steak, which was also comped by the manager, who was also very nice. Yet the one thing that bugged us the most were the staff chatting on the side for the entire time we were there, while on the clock, with people who may have been employees off the clock or just friends, at a table next to us. One employee in particular named Crystal was not doing her job. She cleaned 2 tables the whole time we were there. The rest of time she was was using her hours to have conversation and taste the food. It made us feel as if the rest of the service was like that. Definitely not our best first experience. We had a great dining experience here a couple months ago. The only reason we haven't come back is because the Roadhouse on Muldoon is closer and it's just as great. We had Dr. Dre as our server and he was a great waiter; very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He told us about the new drink Kenny's Cooler and it sounded delicious so I ordered it. OMG it was so amazing. I hate really alcohol-y tasting fruity drinks, but this one wasn't like that at all, it was very fruity, but I still felt great after only having one. He also recommended the steak and shrimp meals which were a better deal than ordering a steak without the shrimp. The food was absolutely amazing and I ate every bit of it. The cactus blossom was so delicious, too. Not Outback good, but still so delicious. It is good in its own way. I do like the thickness of the batter on the cactus blossom which gave it an extra crunch and it was so much bigger than other fried onions. read more

Good food and great service! I took my kids here tonight because I felt like having some bbq. I wasn't disappointed, the steak was good, the ribs were good, the breaded onion thing was good, and the service was fantastic! Man it seems hard in this town to get good service and I was as happy as can be!!! Our waitress was on top of everything, but also the rest of the staff came by very frequently, drinks were refilled quickly, food was prepared quickly, everything was cooked very well, tasted great, and the service! It's pretty sad but I've paid twice as much for a meal in this town more than once and felt like my waiter disappeared for the whole night at other places, or some other places serve you Luke warm water that tastes like it was sitting in a plastic pitcher that added a taste, but not here. Every time I've gone to Texas Roadhouse It's been "almost good", but there's always something that bothers me. It seems like everything is over-salted, sometimes the service is off, sometimes the wait is long even when there are plenty of tables open- I want to like it, but I haven't gone and had a really good experience. Overall I can't complain about a whole lot, there are just some improvements that need to happen for it to be somewhere I actually think about going when I'm hungry. read more

We had a disasterous meal here. My pork chop was over cooked and tough. My brother's steak was well done not medium. We were served our salads, then our meat part of the entree came. Over 1/2 hour later our half baked potatoes arrived at our table without any butter. The manager finally came to the table and apologised. She said she'd take care of us tonight. After a wait she came back with a free appetiser coupon and a voucher for 2 free meals. No reduction on our bill. We waited and waited and no check. She never communicated with our waiter. I told him she was taking care of our meal. He checked with her - she said she'd cover my portion of the bill. More waiting! It was Gordon Ramsey's worst kitchen nightmare. The food was poor, the waiter did his best, but the kitchen was a disaster. It would have been nice if she would have come back to the table to clarify things but no - she forced our poor waiter to come and apologise profusely. I gave back my voucher which the waiter used tonight. I will never go back. Neither would the other 2 couples. So embarassing as I suggested it. This location has good waitresses but their cooks are the worst I've seen ever. Over salted food and almost raw steaks when it was supposed to be well done?. As always said, once is a mistake but when it happens on every visit, it then means not good at all. 1 star is being so generous. In my 66 years on this earth I have never had this kind of experience. My husband and I along with another couple were seated at 6 o'clock and had a waitress at our table in a few minutes. Our drink orders were taken and were served shortly there after. The waitress returned to take our food order by about 6:20. We got our salads at about 6:30. By 7, our meals still had not been delivered. The waitress said she'd check and see what the holdup was. At 7:15 still no meal. Other tables around us had been seated, eaten their meals and left by this time. The waitress returns to tells us the printer was malfunctioning and our ticket didn't get submitted. Also that the 'crab' takes a long time to prepare'. And so the lies begin. The manager comes to our table and said he was sorry that our meals hadn't been delivered and that he would comp our meals. We asked to get the meals to go. 7:45 no meals, no waitress, no manager. We decided to give it till 8, at which point we decided we were just going to leave. At a few minutes before 8 the waitress comes to our table and says, 'the manager will comp your meals but you need to pay for the drinks' (3 of the 4 of us had one drink each). Still no food served or take-out. At 8 we left. We did not pay for the drinks or have any food served or to take with us. So, guess how many people we will be telling about our experience. Everybody we know and many we don't. The real shame is that the food is pretty good, but we will never go there again. Now, if you're thinking that we are just a bunch of crazy loud people and were causing problems, let me assure you, we're about as middle-America as they come. Let me just start this review by stating most of our experiences here in the past have been much more of a 3 to 4 star rating but our most recent visit quickly pushed it downwards of average. My husband and i decided we were going to go for a light dinner with a few of our coworkers here after our day at work and we fully expected it to be as pleasant an experience as we have had in the past boy were we disappointed. Hosts were able to seat us right away in a booth however the service that followed was unbelievably terrible. Our "server" quickly pushed for upselling to liquor sales and when only one of us agreed we may be interested she awkwardly rubbed our coworkers back trying to pressure her into buying the kenny chesney featured beverage. After then proceeding to take about 10 minutes for our drinks to finally arrive she proceeded to take our orders. My husband and i shared a rack of ribs our two friends ordered some fried pickles and a steak. While we were waiting for our food to come out all of us managed to finish our beverages without being checked in on once. After she finally delivered our food there wasnt even an offer of a refill to.any of us until we managed to flag her down to get one. She returned rather quickly with the 3 nonalcoholic refills and then asked us if we wanted the check HALFWAY through our meal without even offering our 4th guest another beer. To ALL of us at the table we recognized the clear lack of customer service and attentiveness to our table as we are all restaurant industry people. Not only were we ignored but then rushed out the door without even being offered a box for our half rack of ribs. What ever happened to management table checks that used to exist here?? Bottom line it will be a long time before we step into this location again...id rather travel to the other side of town at this point to be treated as though my money and business is appreciated. read more

Not extremely impressed. Possibly not my type of atmosphere. Been a few times. Seems to be understaffed in the bar area which isn't the bartenders fault. Observed ONE bartender having to provide drinks to the entire restaurant, serve the bar and the booths in the bar drinks and food, clean glasses ECT....all the while the management really didn't do much helping until I had to point it out to them that it wasn't the bartenders fault but seemed to be a management error ~ either to help her and/or provide help for her. Impossible for one person to multi-task the entire restaurant for drinks AND serve/provide customer service to bar area. read more
