This location renewed my faith in Texas Roadhouse. No wonder it was so crowded on a Tuesday. The food was on point, even the leftovers were good. Nice apps with the potato skins and fried pickles. My first onion blossom and it was awesome. Chili was good, loved the addition of fresh red onion. I usually dont eat steak out but they have perfected steak here. Nice quality and taste... And I almost forgot about the bread and butter to start. Dont know what that flavor is, but Yumm. Did not like that to fit us in they added a small table to the booth, so I felt kinda in the way with servers and guests walking by. It was also dark because the lighting was over the booth table and it was hard to hear people inside the booth. Customer service was pretty good tho just a little awkward passing food n drink to people inside the booth. This location was way better than the 1 that I live by so I will always take the drive. Texas Roadhouse is definitely a good time

We went to Texas Roadhouse and had a fantastic time! The ambiance is a fun and friendly Texas style steakhouse with a lively sports bar. Service is always excellent and friendly. I got the Prime Rib which was cooked perfectly and an insanely good value! You get the quality of a good steakhouse with their steaks but at less than half the price!

Going to Texas roadhouse it's always a good time we love coming here for steak and margaritas ! Besides it always being busy and having to use the wait list . The atmosphere is very lively , the staff is lovely and the smell of fresh bread as soon as you walk in ! There's nothing like it ! The bar area also has plenty of TV if you wanted to watch a sports game . Obviously we started of with the fresh bread served with like cinnamon butter ( honestly my favourite bread and butter from any restaurant) Now they even brought back table side peanuts .. which we loved ! Next we ordered margaritas obviously ( usually we get the large 18oz ones ) but today being a Tuesday we got the smaller size for only $5 (+1 if you want it flavoured) Honestly I come back 1. For the bread and 2 for the margaritas they are always sooo good ! For our entree I got the herb chicken with mushrooms and mashed potatoes and a side salad . The side salad is a good portion with fresh vegetables , boiled egg and cheddar cheese on top . Always good in my opinion! The mashed potatoes are delicious nice and smooth consistency ! My favourite side personally ( you can get it loaded with cheese and bacon to ) The chicken was cooked perfectly I enjoyed it very much My husband got the steak with fries ! The great thing about Texas roadhouse is they always cook the steak however you want it ! ( if you want Medium rare that's what you get ) we personally never had to send a steak back ! And for a price that doesn't break the bank ! Overall 10/10 for a fun lively ambiance , friendly staff and great food for the price ! Highly recommend ! We have been many times and will definitely be back soon

This is another great Texas Roadhouse location. The service was great. The food was delicious as usual and similar in taste and quality to all the other Texas Roadhouse locations that I've been to. The prices are fair. The ambiance was standard for this chain. Their chilli is my favorite chilli that I've had at any restaurant...

Still a solid 4. Service was very good. Our server Sam was on point. Our steaks were all cooked as ordered and very good. Sides were good. Corn. Baked sweet potatoes, warm rolls. It's a go to as far as chain restaurants and good food in the area. It was a bit warm today but our server turned up the fan over us. It's a family style restaurant and dinner time can be very noisy. Quieter after 730.

Peanuts on the tables and fresh hot cinnamon butter rolls!! Our server was great! We ordered the bloomin onion to start and a mango margarita with a kicker shot. I ordered the 8oz sirloin steak combo with shrimp, a house salad and a loaded potato. Everything came out quick and hot! We got there for opening hours so the vibe was chill with few people.

Texas Roadhouse of Cromwell has been opened for a few months now. Tonight I went here with three others for dinner. I don't love stake as much as everyone else in my party, or as much as the average guest of Texas Roadhouse. It has always been a challenge for me to find a meal at this establishment. Before we get into the details of my meal, I would first like to acknowledge the young server. He was excellent, very patient, friendly, and quick. You never had to ask him anything twice. I cannot remember his name, but it started with a C. I'm not sure if I missed this at other Texas Roadhouse locations, or if it's new here, but on an each table there is a bag of peanuts. Along with those delicious, delicious rolls and that cinnamon butter, you could easily get fed on just those. I got the Porch Rocker Raspberry cocktail. This was just ok. A bit watered down, but not awful. Again, I'm not sure if I missed the salmon on my past trips to Texas Roadhouse. When I saw they offered grilled Salmon, I knew that's what I'd be getting. I selected the 5 oz salmon with corn and the mashed potatoes as the sides. Sadly when it arrived, it was very, very dry. I squeezed some lemon on to it, of course it didn't help. It made me cough with each bite. The sides were pretty good. Everyone else was very happy with their stake meals, which is why we occasionally come here.

Our first time trying Texas Roadhouse - anywhere! Visited on a Sunday and had a great experience. We added our name to the waitlist before leaving home and the check-in was seamless, with a wait time at the restaurant of less than five minutes. It was very loud and busy, but the servers did a phenomenal job of organization and keeping the traffic flowing smoothly. Our server, Laila, was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly, but we never felt rushed. Our meals (steak kabobs with rice, steak tips with mushrooms and onions, and a steak salad) were all fresh and tasty. The mac & cheese and baked potatoes were also great, and what can I say about the famous rolls? We went through two baskets! I hope Texas Roadhouse does well here. We'll be back!

This was my first experience at any Texas Roadhouse, and it wasn't mind-blowing by any means, but I'm sure I'll be back at some point. Because this location opened just last week, the wait times are INSANE. I came on a weekday; my group joined the waitlist online an hour in advance and still had to wait over 30 minutes when we arrived. The parking lot was also full. However, it was all worth it for the rolls and butter. I ate 5, and I am still craving more. The other food was only alright. My ribs were dry, the mac and cheese felt slightly undercooked, and the fried pickles were practically inedible with the amount of sodium in them. The steak and corn were fine, but I prefer my homemade steaks more. Our server was super sweet and personable and was constantly checking in on us to make sure everything was fine, which made up for the fact the kitchen lost our appetizers and had to remake them.

Texas Roadhouse is the new shiny restaurant in Cromwell, CT. I had huge hopes for this place because I know it's super popular and the waitlist to get in is long. So here is my review from my one and only experience there: Pros: 1. If you get on the waitlist online, they are pretty accurate when you arrive at the restaurant. We showed up on time and waiting maybe 10 minutes until we were seated. The hosts are super friendly and helped guide you to where you need to be with ease 2. The waitstaff is amazing. So helpful, so quick, the really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure you have a good experience. 3. Free bread! Their sweet dinner rolls and fluffy and delicious. But, fair warning, not everyone in my party liked them. If you don't like sweet bread, these aren't for you. 4. Entrees have an option for a side salad as a side. They are good sized salads and very tasty and fresh. 5. My son ordered a steak and it was cooked perfectly. So if you like steaks, you may like this place. Cons 1. Im used to spices and flavor in my food. TR relies mainly on just salt to season their food. Some black pepper on their fried fish. So, for me, food was kinda bland. 2. Mac and Cheese isn't very cheesy. I was told it tasted more like pasta and butter than mac and cheese. 3. My son ordered a burger medium and it came well done. He put lots of ketchup on it and ate it anyway. 4. fried pickle chips were the biggest disappointment. fried perfectly, nice and crispy, but LOADED with salt. I have a very high threshold for salty food, and it was too salty for me. All in all, if you like steak, give this place a try. If you aren't a fan of steak, perhaps try one of the many other establishments in town.

Good thing we didn't because we wasted plenty of money on three entrees that were incredibly underwhelming. We had to slowly sip our room temperature tap water served in tiny glasses because the refills were slow to come. We also had to request bread, and rather than speak to us in a normal manner, our server yelled "I thought they brought it" as she was walking away. She quickly walked away several times before we could make any requests whatsoever. We felt like we wasted our time and money to only be disrespected on top of it. The only employee to treat us kindly was the nice woman at the hostess desk who checked in on us briefly during our meal. We didn't want to complain to her or spend the rest of our Mother's Day dwelling on how bad the experience was. Carbone's Prime needs to do better.

My sister made a 6:30 reservation in advance, fully aware it would be busy, and it was. When we arrived, the wait for walk ins was already an hour. At check in, my sister went to the host stand because her phone was having trouble checking us in. The manager on duty at the time, Will, confirmed that he checked us in manually and assured us everything was set. About ten minutes later, my sister approached the host, Liv, because she continued receiving texts about checking in and seating. She simply wanted to make sure there wasn't an issue. Liv told her we were checked in, everything was fine, and to ignore the messages. Important detail: we were a party of five plus a baby. Fast forward nearly an hour later. My niece was understandably losing patience, so I went to the host stand to ask about our table. That's when LIV told me they had texted us, we "weren't ready," and they gave our table away. Let me be clear: they were calling parties by name the entire time. Our name was never called once. And LIV was the SAME PERSON who EXPLICITLY told us to IGNORE the messages. At this point, we were obviously upset. Will and others acted confused and tried to piece together what happened, as if what we were explaining didn't make sense. Eventually, we were told that a large party was about to leave and that table would be ours. Even then, we still waited another ten minutes. Shockingly, NO ONE apologized. The only explanation offered was "miscommunication." Once seated, our server was great, genuinely the only bright spot so far. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, everything was cold. At that point, it was almost expected. Another manager later came to our table, clearly in a higher position than Will. He listened to our side, apologized, offered to remake the food, and gave us a discount. When we paid, our server informed us that an additional discount had been applied. It wasn't until I was literally walking out the door, as the last one to leave, that Will finally said, "Sorry about everything. Have a good night." At that point, it felt far too late. If they're working, count me out.

First time at their Newington location. We were seated a booth - very nice - extra roomy. It's nice that you aren't on top of other people in this restaurant. Nowadays they just pack people in which takes away from the dining experience. Started by splitting a Caesar salad. Forgot to take a picture - probably because it was so good and we were lost in conversation. My boyfriend got the filet with twin lobster tails special. He enjoyed the filet and I had the lobster tails. The lobster tails were huge! The waitress mentioned they normally put some sort of a spice on them but I asked for it to be left off as lobster is delicious on its own (I just asked for butter on the side). Unfortunately, they put salt on the lobster tails which kind of ruined the flavor, however the lobster was nice and fresh, so I just dunked them in butter to mask the salty taste. Lobster is so flavorful and delicious by itself - it doesn't need anything other than lemon and maybe some butter. Chefs are always trying to do different things with lobster and they don't need to. Perhaps they put too much salt in the water they cooked it with. We also split the Au Gratin Potatoes. I must not have read that it had three cheeses in it. WOW was that a lot of cheese. A bit much. Very tasty but too much cheese. It was also quite small. We got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and I have to say I normally love these, but this had an espresso flavor to it. Like lobster, chocolate is good as it is - no need to add different flavors to it. I hate tiramisu/espresso flavored desserts typically, so that flavor ruined this for me. I wish they mentioned it had an espresso flavor in it. I will ask in the future when ordering at restaurants. Service impeccable. Just a few things that kept this from a 5 star review. We did bring in our own bottle of wine so they will allow that, you just have to pay the $25 corkage fee. Nice evening. Will be back.
