We haven't eaten inside the restaurant in several years, but have ordered to-go several times. The past three or four times we've ordered, service has lacked terribly. First, they have done away with car side delivery service (while other restaurants have figured out how to keep this service going). Second, there is only one person handling to-go orders, so if they are busy, you have to wait indefinitely until they decide to give you their attention. Today, in particular, there was no one at the to-go stand, so I walked inside to the second hostess stand. There were multiple employees standing around chatting (I assume one was the manager as he wore a headset and was dressed nicely). He had his back to the door shooting the breeze with the other employees, none of which acknowledged that I was there. One girl looked at me, and never said a word. I explained I was there to pick up a to-go order (which I could see sitting on the shelf to my right). She again did not acknowledge me, but tapped the man I assumed was the manager on the shoulder. He did address me, and once again, I explained that I was there to pick up a to-go order. So he says "let me get someone up here to help you." I responded with, "you can't help me? My order is right here." He shakes his head no, so I just pulled the order off the shelf and left. Of course when I got home, I was missing items. It has been a very similar set of circumstances every time recently. If my kids didn't like their rolls so much, I would write them off completely! Typical Texas Roadhouse, if you've been to one they are all pretty similar. I always smash 8-10 rolls before my meal comes because they are the best part. For my meal I got a 16oz sirloin medium rare and 2 sweet potato's. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked. It's hard to go wrong with this place. read more

Went here with my husband & 9 yr old daughter this evening & was seated right away so my thoughts was AWESOME!! After several minutes FINALLY greeted by our server Monica!! Was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE dining out EVER!!! Was not up to their usual standard. Did call ahead and they entered my phone number wrong / checked in and hostess was rude - told me she had it and I had not even gave her my name. After about 15 minutes when she stepped aside I went back and talked to someone else and that's when I found out she had wrong number. Would've left then but on the phone they had told me the wait would be about 40 minutes. There was 5 of us and we're not the smallest and she took us to a booth for 4. Told us we'd have to be put back on the wait list and would be another 30-40 minutes- we told her we was leaving. If you want to be disappointed, order from this place. I don't even want t to call it a restruant. If the food was good, I would have ignored all the other issues. I normally order from another steakhouse near this one but decided to give the Texas Roadhouse a try. Never again. Ordered online, food was on time, got a text that said come inside. No wonder, all the places where you are supposed to park to get your food delivered to the car we're full, and several had no one in the cars. Went inside and the one single person in charge of getting your "meal in a box,"was too busy dealing with a customer and a bad credit card or either they didn't have a clue how to order online. Regardless, the kid should have continued helping people who's food was ready instead of spending all his time with this one person, that was going to have to come back an hour later to get thier food anyway. Meanwhile, myself and other customers were trying to patiently wait on our food. Finally The kid stopped and got the customers in front of me taken care of, then went right back to this other guy....fine, I'll ho get someone else to help...,Nope ! they said I had to wait on this kid, and the other staff standing around clearly saw what was going on. I waited 15 mintues, and finally the kid got my food, which was ready 20 mintues ago. Got back home and almost headed back to the place. Order was missing items, ribs were horribly burnt, salmon was a tiny sliver of fish that was over cooked. applesauce and macaroni and cheese looked and tasted like they scraped it out of a school lunch tray from last week. We called back at the instructed time of 4:30 and then were told they couldn't accommodate a party of 10 because they already had multiple large parties waiting in front of us. We waited 30 minutes for a table on a Thursday night at 6:30pm. The hostess said it was because there were so many dirty tables that needed cleaning. Also ... (You MUST wait outside) We were finally seated and ordered chicken fingers and a hamburger. We waited another 30 minutes for our food that was overcooked! 11/30/2019 mid day One of the better visits really - Porterhouse was a porterhouse and was cooked perfect mid rare. Sides were nice as well. Blue Moon was delic of course - nice tall mug. Service was good. Everyone had a nice meal. Beef tips ordered by the ladies - they both loved em. Other gent had a bacon chez burger - said it was good as well. I personally am not a fan of cinnamon butter on bread. I would use it on sweet potatoes but not bread. I am a grown up and Pizza Hut dessert pizza is all I can think of when I see that cinnamon butter for my dinner bread - gee maybe they should put some crayons in the basket as well. We can't understand why there is a line out the door all the time... the food is not that good. Steak was over cooked. The herb chicken had a burnt flavor to it. Everything was over seasoned. No explanation for anything. Just tells you to go to app. But the app sucks and then you call and go around in circles. Hadn't been in a long time and my 15 year old daughter chose this for her bday dinner. Big disappointment with bad service (never cleared anything from table including 2 app dishes, lots of cups when we got refills etc) mediocre food, dirty glasses (plastic) they claimed the tea has stained, a guy cleaning and loudly moving booth in front of us after the customers left. They couldn't even get my daughter's hamburger right! Only wanted mustard, ketchup, pickles and onions and they actually charged me .49 for the onions. WTH! Complained to manager who could care less and said she could direct me to quality care team (online, I assume) and all the while about 5 immature teens/early 20 something's snickered and looked on while I was talking with her. Food is outstanding, but the waitress we had was very pushy and unclear on her descriptions of the menu. For example, she told us they had a house dressing that was made in house. Turns out I had to call her out on that when she listed off all the dressings, I asked where the house dressing was?? She said all our dressings are made in house. I thought I was cattle getting herded into a pin. I was given a piece of paper with a number on it and told to get in line to get seated.
