I first want to say I LOVE TEXAS ROADHOUSE, me and my family have gone to TR for multiple occasions, and never had any complaints. So I decided to go to Texas roadhouse for my 21st birthday. We got there pretty late maybe an hour and 30 minutes until closing. Me and my boyfriend knew that we didn't wanna be there too long just because they are getting close to closing. So we just ordered our main entrées no appetizers. we told her raider it was my birthday. He asked if I wanted a brownie ice cream, I said I wanted the brownie. I had a steak and he had a country fried chicken steak. My steak tasted like lighter fluid and completely burnt. Looking at the steak it did not look burnt, but it tasted like it. I asked for medium rare cut into it. It had a perfect pinkish, slightly red color, but the more I cut into the state the more more I noticed that it was more raw and rubbery texture. We try to call our waiter over for literally 20 minutes. He saw my boyfriend trying to get his attention multiple times it did not come to us, until we literally had to yell for him when he came close to us. We heard other people being sung "happy birthday", but I did not get sang happy birthday. After we told him what was going on, he asked if we want it remade, I said " I really don't want another steak if it's going to be potentially like this one". To which the manager came over she was very kind and respectful and took the steak off. Winding down after the manager took it off the check he sat ice cream down on the table before I could stop them. He was already in the back. The ice cream started to melt when he finally came out and I had to tell him I actually asked for the brownie. I started to feel bad, because, I didn't want them to think I was trying to get a free meal. He told us to just keep both of it and he didn't return for the rest of the night. This is my first ever extremely disappointing meal I've ever had a Texas roadhouse. Not only was my birthday, not celebrated at the place that I treasure most, but it seemed like I wasn't even welcome there from the waiter ignoring us to staff thinking we were trying to get free food. Their meat has no flaps. It triggered me in multiple ways, my taste was hardly satisfied and my stomach was not full. I had ordered the steak and potatoes. The steak was like a mush and the potato was like a rock. It was not salted whatsoever and my son Jeremiah had diarrhea and had gotten food poisoning. I'm a mother of 17 wonderful children, and I can't believe one of my kids had to go through this tragedy. I usually do not write reviews. I don't believe in them, lol. In my experience, so many of them are false. But dinner last night was outstanding. I like to order the same thing at TX Roadhouse, the 6 oz tenderloin. I don't eat much beef but when I do, I want the good stuff. The previous visit, they had murdered my steak to well done when I order it medium. Our server was Kaden and very attentive. He did his job so exceptionally well; it reminded me of days gone by when people actually cared about their craft. Yes, being a server is a craft and he is masterful at it. Very slow to seat customers even though several tables were empty. Waited 40 minutes in the bar to get seated. Then we were told we should have waited at the door-the hostess said it was okay to sit at the bar to wait. Service was also incredibly slow, took over an hour to get our food. Let me start off by saying we've been going to various TRH for many years. The food is consistent, service is typically decent even when very busy, and even though inflation has attacked the prices it's still affordable for what you get. So why the two stars? The ambiance is no longer acceptable. First off the music selection is atrocious! I have been a fan of country music for years but the garbage that is played now is intolerable! Why not mix it up a bit with the older stuff? They feature Willie Nelson memorabilia but won't play his music? WTF? What makes it even worse is the volume it is played at, there is no way you can have a conversation with your table mates without yelling. Service was great, we were seated immediately the manager even came to welcome us because we had never been to this location. We all ordered 6 oz. SIrloins, three were great, one was mostly gristle. All of the three baked potatoes we ordered were undercooked, the cheese didn't even melt on them. We were charged for a soda with the kids meal and had to point it out on the check ($2.97). I ordered fried pickles to go and they were half burnt or stuck together and not fully cooked. Some of the waitresses danced when a song came on and that was fun to see. They seem to generally care there and if we had time to spare I'm sure the issues would have been resolved but we drove here from 45 minutes away and had other things to do. The place was packed on a Friday night, a line out the door and a 45 min wait. The front end staff handled the crowds with ease and professionally. The meats in the case looked good, the thick 8 oz filet caught my eye, even saw a couple on the grill. That's what I ordered, I knew it would take a while as the kitchen was backed up. It arrived and it was crap. Not a thick filet like in the case but a sad, sub 1 inch mistreated thing. Ordered medium rare, it was medium well, it was burnt as well. And instead if a congruous steak as filets are, it was like a pinwheel. Did I send it back? No I already invested a couple hours there. This place used to be better. What a crap steak. I'm in town for work and decided to hang out at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I sat down at the bar and was greeted immediately by the bartender (I think her name was Alex.. I'm so sorry that I forget her name..). She was super friendly and welcoming which I appreciated! I wasn't having a great day, but she was able to turn that around! Thanks for being awesome! This place is a contender for having the absolute poorest trained hosting staff in town. Came into a half-empty restaurant on a Monday night. We were shortly greeted and told it was a 5-10 minute wait... no problem. About 25 minutes later we were finally told they had a table ready. We and our three kids (all under the age of 5) were escorted to a high top table in the bar! -1 star for thinking it's appropriate to put a 15 month old and a two year old in a chair 4 feet off the ground (keep in mind we asked for a high chair when we came in since they asked!) -1 star for just assuming everyone is okay with having a family dinner 6 feet away from the bar counter presently filled with about 5 roudy men cursing at the baseball game We politely asked the hostess to be seated out of the bar. She rolled her eyes in disgust like having children in Texas Roadhouse makes you a lower life form. -1 more star. Back at the front lobby, I told the host what was wrong. He handed me a buzzer and said we would have to get back in line and wait another 20 minutes! I told him "no thanks" to which he replied that he could open up another table in a closed section - really? How come that wasn't a solution at step 1 -1 star for the guy running the front counter who couldn't care less. +1 star because yelp makes you give a star and my five year old got a free dinner roll before we left. 03/16/19 Just had dinner here. Produce is rotten. Our salads were bad. Celery was bad. Broccoli was bad. When the manager was doing her rounds, she asked how everything was. We told and showed her the rotten produce and her response was "Oh, we know about it. The blizzard wiped us out and we aren't even sure if we should be serving this stuff". Gee, thanks. Still asked us to pay for all of it, which we did. We will not return to this location. It's too bad, we enjoyed eating here. UNACCEPTABLE Almost forgot. Wife had shush kebabs, her usual. She said the grill veggies tasted funny and had a new sauce on them. I wish I could give 0 stars. I had the worst visit ever. We were sat, waited 15 minutes for plates for our bread, no big deal..we have hands. Waited an additional 15 minutes to get greeted by our server, and get drinks ordered. Our app came out pretty quick, so I thought it was going to be a great dinner. After we ordered, we waited AN hour to get a side salad. 25 minutes passed, and the waiter continued to say "sorry for the wait on food". I finally had enough of waiting and asked for our check for our drinks and app. Magically our food appeared, HORRIBLE. I was craving a steak so we headed to Longmont to try the Texas Roadhouse. They were busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. The place was crowded and real noisy with all the talking and background music. Our waiter was James and he was great, very pleasant and attentive. I ordered the Friday special Cowboy cut 16 Oz sirloin medium well with mashed potatoes and green beans. My steak was well done , very dry and not up to par. The mashed potatoes were good but the green beans are floating in some terrible tasting liquid I was unable to identify My date had a salad and chicken fried steak. She said the salad was good and the chicken fried steak average but palatable. The prices aren't too bad and we had good service but the food is nothing special. read more

Pretty much your typical Roadhouse, but what set this place apart was their service. We arrived shortly before their closing and they didn't turn us away. My family and I were still able to get the Roadhouse experience of peanuts, bread, beer and steaks. The rib eye steaks we ordered were all cooked to perfection for the temp we ordered. The beer was cold and the selection was ample. The staff was very attentive and seemed to not mind that we probably kept them longer than normal. This was by far one of the best services we've had in a long time and I'm not just saying that because I'm drunk. I swear!! Our waitress (Laura) was awesome. The staff brought out our appetizer first, our soup and chili next (which was a side dish of our main meal), and then our entree's at the end. Everything was hot and cooked to perfection. Worst experience ever.... Just left the place.. service was beyond awful and we had two waitresses. Asked multiple times for plates and silverware eventually had to get them myself. I even had to get my own rolls since they ignored our request for rolls. Our food eventually came out and I told the guy that I ordered mashed potatoes not baked. When it really comes to this kind of cuisine from a restaurant, this is one of the places that I usually try to not return too for a couple of reasons that over the years have never really shown any signs of improving or changing. The first being the actual ability to get a table here. Regardless of their call ahead feature or the ability to arrive early it always seems to be about an hour wait. The last time I called ahead by a few hours and then even arrived early I still had to wait over 45 minutes, which really defeats the purpose of even calling ahead. A party the same size as mine that arrived after we did and just got on the list was seated before us. The second part about this place that I really dislike is the actual atmosphere once you get sat down. The inside looks like it would only seat about half of what they cram in there and you literally have to really like being in close proximity to people to be able to stand it. It ends up looking like a gaming convention in there with everyone hanging in the aisles and having to squeeze past people. If you like that kind of atmosphere then this is the place for you, but I can't think of any other place other than a sports bar on fight night that has that kind of atmosphere. Having a conversation at a reasonable volume is almost impossible and most of the time if you look around a good portion of people in small parties aren't even talking because they really can't. Finally the food. The food for me here is really kind of hit or miss, some of their dishes are very good, and the others are pretty much not. One of the dishes here that I have really enjoyed repeatedly is the chicken Fried Steak. Its a very large portion and the flavor and seasoning for me is really spot on. A few of the other notable things that I would recommend getting are the boneless wings, the tater skins, filet medallions and the fried catfish. For the things I would avoid, #1 would certainly be the steaks. Like most places in town, they are small for the price, somewhat bland, and there's a 30% chance it will even be cooked right. Steak serving places have yet to master the proper cooking of steak and out of the 3 times I have gotten a steak, it has always been under-cooked (twice was blue) and disappointing and I usually order medium rare. In conclusion, although there are some good dishes here, to me it's not really the first, second or even fourth option id give to eat dinner at. If you came between the rushes about 4pm maybe the atmosphere might not be so horrible, but otherwise be prepared to wait and then not really be satisfied with your experience, unless you get the chicken fried steak which is always pretty great. read more

LOVE, love...LOVE this place. Its loud, its packed...good food, just plain fun!!! Lately been going after church, so I get the Sat. special, nice amount of shrimp, perfect sized steak, always cooked exacting as I like it, consistently! Service is always good, making sure your drinks are topped off, and bringing baskets of hot bread! YUM!!! And we go when it has been busy, food is always delivered hot and fairly quick. We love the app, especially for call ahead seating! We have been able to chat with our servers, and hearing how this company gives back, esp. to their employees...we will eat here and support that! read more

Let's get something out of the way. At Texas Roadhouse you throw the peanut shells on the floor. To be sure I checked their website, https://www.texasroadhouse.com/blog/txrh-blog/2013/06/20/all-you-can-eat-peanuts I've been to TR maybe 30 times all over Texas. Well, I guess in Colorado they want to be different. Or maybe it was just this location. But this trip was embarrassing. I walked in and was quickly seated. I ordered an iced tea and began to chow down on the peanuts. Casually tossing my shells on the floor, just like I have done at dozens of TRs in the past. I guess in the back of my mind I thought the floors seemed unusually clean, but it didn't hit me that anything was off. I then started to feel people looking at me, and felt a weird sense of being judged...the guy eating with his family across the aisle, got up and walked to my table and pointed to the second bucket the my peanut bucket was sitting in and said "your peanut shells are supposed to go in here"... I was shocked. Everyone was looking at me to see what I'd do. I apologized and explained that I've never been to a TR where you didn't throw the shells on the floor. That's sort of one of the staples of their chain. So I got up and began picking up all my shells like an idiot. The waitress came back and said I didn't need to, but did admit she thought it was weird I threw them on the floor. What the hell is going on here!?!? The purpose of a chain is so that I can go anywhere and feel comfortable in knowing that I know how it all works. It was like a freakin' twilight zone episode. Anyways...after that kerfuffle I ordered a ribeye steak with blue cheese on top, medium rare, with the green beans on the side. My steak came out so quick I was dubious it was cooked. It was, though it was more rare than medium rare, which was okay, but the steak wasn't that hot, that's why I like medium-rare, get a bit more temperature. Because the steak wasn't that hot the blue cheese wasn't melted and it just sort of sat on top half melted and awkward. So yea. I ate quickly, paid and left. Worst TR experience ever. Maybe I'll stick to eating there when I'm in Texas. read more
