I told the server (who was excellent) that I no longer wanted it. Manager only offered to take it off the bill. There's so many great things to say about the Marana Texas Roadhouse!! We had a family dinner there tonight and celebrated our friend's 50th birthday. Our server Madelyn went above and beyond. Drinks were refilled before we were even finished. The delicious food arrived at our table steaming hot. We are greeted with smiles and made to feel welcome here every time we come. Madelyn was constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. What an asset she is to the company!! A huge shout out also to Melissa, another sweet hostess. The 3 stars is for the food. This location has great food all around and they don't usually disappoint. However, their front of house staff is absolutely awful. And their waitlist system is a joke. We signed up for their waitlist through their website yet when we got there we were not in the system. Um, okay. So we added our names to the list and asked for a table. They said fine. So once we eventually got our names called and seated they took us to a booth. We asked if they had a table instead and she said oh well you didn't ask for one. I said yes we did. So then she tells us if we want a table we would have to put our names back on the wait list and get seated later. Are you kidding me? When we were walking to our booth we saw tons of tables wide open. I thought she was joking but she wasn't. So we ended up sitting at the booth instead which was uncomfortable for both my parents as they have needs which require a table versus a booth. Absolutely ridiculous. The bread is so good - smothered with butter, soft and semi-sweet served with cinnamon butta, yum! The sides weren't my favorite but that doesn't stop the server from repeating "scratch sides" like 10 times at the table -I get it! The steak however was surprisingly good. This place is a common ground go to place for me and my husband to eat. They have a dozen dishes comprising early bird specials until 6pm. For me the specials make it so easy to come year again and again. Basically before you eat, they give you mouth watering bread with sweet (cinnamon?) butter and a bucket of peanuts sits at every table. It is almost always noisy, so if you aren't a fan of loud, you may want to look elsewhere. There is a team of greeters who ask if you: are you having a good evening so far, have ever been to the roadhouse before, and are having a special occasion; while you are walked past to a meat counter with fresh cuts of beef that look pretty amazing. They have a formula to their success. For a meat place....what keeps me wanting to return are killer dinner salads. With any meal you order you can add a salad, have a salad as your side with your meal or order a salad as your meal. The salads are served on chilled plates and come with a little hard boiled egg crumbles, tomato, cheddar cheese, one cucumber slice and croutons; fabulous! My husband nearly always gets a T-bone and two caesar salads; one before the meal and one with as his sides with the meal. Other sides include: (loaded with brown sugar and marshmallow or not) sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, bacon green beans, mixed grilled veg, etc. The menu is basically what one would expect anywhere. If you are having a special occasion they do cute song n dance, embarrassing birthday girls and boys by making them site on a saddle while all the servers yell. I can totally skip that sort of fun; but the staff do seem to be young and enjoying being there. The food here is consistently 3.5 out of 5 ( the dinner salads being awesome and almost making this a 4 out of 5) and the service is consistently 4 out of 5. This place does get crazy packed busy, so I usually don't go after 5 because I know that if I have to wait my husband exponentially will go stir crazy; that on top of the loud noise diminishes the enjoyment of eating out. read more

Tried dining in but was told no seats for me. I am a handicapped man and need to sit at a table rather than booth because of this. The restaurant was pretty empty and the young lady seating us was insistent I needed to sit in a booth. My fiancé tried to explain that no I am handicapped and we need a regular seat or at least a half seat half booth. She informed us that the sections with those types of tables were not open yet and I would have to wait if I were to want to be accommodated. While I understand sections and section seatings you need to be able to seat the handicapped if you are open, I am pretty sure it is federal law. To their burgers and fries for 10-12$'s to the pull pork dinner and country fried steak 11-12$'s the portions are good even on the big side you get 2 sides and rolls to boot, even the steaks are awesomely priced! 22-28 for 16oz of prime rib The meals have been amazing! Yesterday I had dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Marana. I ordered pulled pork and was a bit shocked when my plate arrived. It didn't in any way resemble pulled pork as it was chunks of pork. When the server asked if everything was OK, I said this wasn't pulled pork. She brought the manager to the table and the manager insisted that was the way they served pulled pork. She offered to exchange the meal for something else, but my companions were nearly finished by that time. Very unhappy and doubt seriously I will return anytime soon. If you're not going to serve pulled pork, state on the menu that it will be chunks of meat that you have to pull yourself. read more

We got there at 11:50 PM waited till 12:35 to call them and ask where my food was at that my car was overheating and it was supposed to be done at noon and I'm sitting in my car with my children waiting for my Mother's Day lunch with them. We have ate hear many of times, and have always had a good dinner. I dont know if they got a new manager, or chef, or what happened, but its gone downhill! I ordered a 6oz Fillet Mignon, Medium cooked. What I got was what appeared to be a thin sirloin, that was over cooked to alsmost well done, and over salted. The Manager came to the table and I told her I have been eating steaks for 50 years and I know my cuts, and that was NOT a tenderloin. Tenderloins are the small piece of meat on the T-Bone. The Sirloin is on the larger side. She tried to tell me sometimes tenderloins are that big. lol I could be blind and still would know just by how it cut and tasted. She offered another Steak. Well that doesn't work for me. I want all my food at the same time. I also complained about it being way over salted. She said they started a new seasoning. Well, you may want to cut that in half for people that has high blood pressure and leave a salt shaker on the table. All I got was poor excuses and no compensation for a dinner that I only ate half (of a tiny steak) because it was so bad. We've been to Texas Roadhouse about 3 times in the last two months. We have never had a wait time, but we also try to skirt around busy times. The servers have always been kind. Food has been served correctly and steaks have been cooked to order. It tends to been a little noisy being that It Is a large open dining area. I also not fond of the clapping for birthdays and such.
