I ordered a group lunch at 11:30 on the dot and asked that it be ready for pick up at 12:30 so my associates would have their lunch at 1. After standing around for 32 minutes (along with the two hosts who refused to assist or do anything outside of the realm of looking for tables, I finally received my food at 1 on the dot. No wonder the parking lot is always full, it takes them 1.5 hours to cook 2 steaks 2 chicken fried chickens 2burgers and a kabob...extremely unhappy with my experience here. read more

This was probably our worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse. The waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't even greet us. They did ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, but neither were cooked to order (we wanted them rare and they were well done). The food seemed quickly prepared and wasn't very tasty, although it took forever for us to be served. The steaks at the front of the restaurant in the case looked old and discolored, which turned us off to steaks when we were there. The peanuts on the floor were the cleanest part of the restaurant, and the table offered dirty menus that were not cleaned between parties. The pricing is decent but you get what you pay for apparently. If you're craving Texas Roadhouse, try another location. read more

i hate to frequent chains of any sort, i am all about the little guy making it in business. that being said, i have to admit that i really, really like the texas roadhouse. everything i have ordered has been good, esp the baby back ribs where the meat falls off the bone..yum! the pre dinner rolls with the cinnamon butter can get you in trouble....try to resist or you may not be able to finish your dinner! it is a noisy place, great for families, maybe not so much for a date night, but the atmosphere is fun. i dig the roadhouse! read more

We will not ever return to this place to eat! Sooo, are last experiance at this place was not a pleasant experiance obviously. We got to the peanut invested floor and were seated to our table. We recieved are salad with a piece of hair in it...the beer had a bug in it....not once but twice!!! As I looked around and glanced in the kitchen it looked like a bunch of teenagers running the joint. It was not a good experiance. The food was not that great, and once I found the hair in my salad my stomach turned. The bug in the beer 2x pushed us over the edge. Maybe it was a bad night for them or they were short on staff, I don't know?? But all I know is that place is to loud and unclean for me! Pretty good for a chain. Prices are okay, service is usually pretty quick. Nothing that will blow your socks off but a good value for the money. If you're going to go to a chain, might as well make it a successful one - don't try and get in on a busy Friday or Saturday though. read more

This was just an average meal. It was my first time to this place. My wife and I ordered some huge Margaritas with kickers but after three I'm pretty sure they were watered down or that perhaps the kicker was the only alcohol in it. Nice presentation but pretty bad way to save some money in my opinion. I got the 16-oz prime rib and it was average at best. Tasted kind of like it absorbed the smell of the kitchen. My wife's steak kabob was way better at half the price. How can that be that a meal at half the price is way better? If I wanted prime rib, I should have gone to Durgan Park or Common man. Great steak chicken and ribs fall off the bone, the bar is great too the only thing is when someone has a birthday or special event it's so loud and it's never just one you like 10 but overall good environment. Went here last night for dinner. Both our steaks were fatty, quality seemed to have gone downhill quite a bit. Server Forgot my sides, messed up drink order, and we waited a long time to get our food. Tough when you have a young child with you. The only filet mignon option on the menu now is fatty "filet" medallions. We were pleasantly surprised when we didn't have to wait for our table, but maybe more people are also thinking the food isn't so great anymore. It was pretty slow. read more

Terrible service and attitude. Simply avoid if you value a good dinner experience. Totally, childish, unprofessional and unacceptable. Here is the story. After waiting 30 minutes for a table we ordered the drinks. We are both well above 21 (29 and 37 with a kid of 7). I didn't have my ID on me, so we told the waitress the drink would be for him and then we would change. We were totally transparent and upfront and she brought the drink. When the drinks came she warned that if I drink it, she will take it away. The tone was worse than those warnings bad kids get when misbehaving at schools. Unnecessary bad attitude. So I went to the car and brought my phone where I had a picture of my passport. The waitress said the passport was not a valid ID and called the manager. The manager approached us with no manners and saying I am not a lawmaker and your passport is not a valid id because it is from another country. She insisted that a us ID was required. Then she went further and said if it was from Puerto Rico she would have accepted it because it belongs to the us. You don't need to be a lawmaker, but it would help to know that passports should be accepted everywhere. Too bad that such behavior only impacts the customer and the owner. It's sad when the lack of tact and managerial skills of managers prevents them from doing what is expected from them. Some people simply can't resist and love to use their little power. Take this into account if you value a good dinner experience. read more

I love it here. I took my 5 year old neice on Saterday and she had a ball. she loved throwing her peanut shells on the floor and was entertained by the waitstaff dancing. She got a kick out of the saddle for some guys bday, and the food was awesome too!!! We will definitly be back! read more

The food is definitely five stars (it's a steakhouse, so get the steak!). Service is good, but they get pretty busy. Be sure not to take anyone here with a peanut allergy, they'll die while crossing the threshold... there are peanuts and shells everywhere and the air is full of peanut dust! It's super noisy, and they for some reason turn the music up louder when it's noisier. My biggest complaint is the country line dancing number they do... could they at least LOOK like they're enjoying it, for the sake of the excited little kids in the restaurant who come running over to watch? Blech... I'd rather sit where I can't see the uncomfortable chain gang dance. read more

It feels a little nuts to be reviewing a popular chain restaurant, but we had a really good time! The service was friendly and prompt; it was our first time and our server brought us an array of the sides so that we could taste and know what we were ordering. The place was busy but service was prompt. The food was flavorful and really plentiful. We weren't in any particular hurry but we did get in, served, eat and out in a reasonable, unhurried but prompt manner. It was a movie date night and it was really perfect. Just had a phenomenal experience at the methuen location. We had a party of 24, including about 10 teens/tweens and 2 small children - basically every waitress' nightmare. TRACY, KERRY, and APRIL were unbelievably patient and simply amazing! The kids were loud, peanuts were everywhere and at least two of the adults were...ahem... 'difficult'. These young ladies never batted an eye. They were professional, super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we all had a great time. It's always difficult dealing with large parties, especially my family but, nobody could've handled it better than these ladies did. We hadn't been here in a few years and went last night. Place was very clean and fun looking. Waiter was very good and attentive. We all were pretty disappointed in some of our food. The chili was very salty. We used to love it. My chicken breast was very dry. My son had mac n cheese and it was dry too, like someone left it under a warming lamp way too long. The salmon and shrimp meals were pretty good. Bread was still great and I love their salads on ice cold plates. Overall rather inconsistent for simple dishes. read more

Wasn't super amazing but good and reliable for a national chain. What we love is the military discount of 30%. We just roll that into a better tip for our waitress but it is a very nice discount when many places don't have one or only do 10 percent. Friendly and personable staff. They need a negative rating for Texas Roadhouse on yelp.. My family and I have been to the Methuen, Mass. TRH on many occasions. Usually for a birthday, mothers day, etc.. ONLY at the request of my grown children. As my son is a fan of steak, we usually end up here.. BUT I have NEVER received my steak cooked as requested, AND I MEAN NEVER! One time I remember quite well was on a mothers day with my son and daughter. We all ordered our steaks med/rare. When our orders were brought to the table, I proceeded to cut my well done steak. I waved to the waitress to have them make me another steak MED/RARE. After a short time the manager came over and asked if I had received my steak yet. (do you see a steak or a plate in front of me?) I replied no so the manager said he would go get my steak. I told him not to as it had only been a few minutes THIS TIME since they had got my order again and my steak would not be ready yet.. After about 2 minutes the waitress came out with my RAW steak.. At this point my children were almost done with their meals and I was so upset that I had started to cry as THIS TEXAS ROADHOUSE HAD RUINED ANOTHER HOLIDAY for me and my kids.. I walked out of the restaurant to get some air, returning after 5 minutes or so.. As I returned the manager came back over and suggested " If we can't get your order right here, maybe you should go to another Texas Roadhouse!" I was never given a gift certificate for another day, offered to take money off the bill, nor anything else that a manager would offer to keep you as their customer.. Since that day I have not been to any Texas Roadhouse, nor will I.. They have ruined numerous holidays for me and my children and they will not have the opportunity to do it again.. IF you are looking for a nice place to have a steak with nice waiters/waitresses, good food and a comfortable atmosphere, I suggest "The Longhorn steakhouse," OR "The Outback Steakhouse." read more

Favorite steakhouse. I always get the 11 oz or 8 oz sirloin steak. Perfectly cooked. I do ask for NO SEASONING while cooking. Perfect. I'm not a fan of added salty seasoning. Spare me the salt please! Dinner rolls, whipped butter, peanuts...all adds to the great experience. Loud, but that's expected. If you need quiet, think of a different place! It is packed every time we go, we've even waited outside for them to open and not been the only ones doing that, on a weekday! Texas Roadhouse and the Outback usually are in competition when my family decides to go out for a steak. I think that their steaks are a bit tastier (seasoning and stuff), but not as tender as the ones at Outback. In general, their food is O.K. and a descent value. I am a peanut-nut, so I love it when the wait is kind-a long and I have to wait by the peanut barrel. The place is a bit loud, but the wait staff is pleasant and makes up for it. read more

Been to the Texas Roadhouse (Methuen, Massachusetts) several times now. Always enjoyed the food. I love the ribs and steaks, as well as the chicken dishes, and fried pickles appetizer. The service is excellent as well. Parking is sometimes a problem, but there is ample parking in the store lot next to the Texas Roadhouse. Only issue (small) is it is usually noisy, so don't go their for a relaxing and quiet meal. Again, the food is very good! Will be going back again and again. read more

I was ashamed of the Serves here. That put me at a bad table. And then they spill drinks on me. And the (fall of the bone ribs) where not good at all. They tasted like they wernted cooked all the way. They were not falling off. You hade to rip them off. And they had a star on them. They don't deserve that star. I will never eat here again. The food was mostly fantastic, my vegetables were a little undercooked but that was alright, they tasted fine. The big problem came when we got the check. We had a 5 dollar donation on it to some charity. (It just said sunshine and I had seen those little papers up front that said sunshine foundation sort of like the children's hospital ones) No one asked us if we wanted to donate, there were no signs up to explain anything anywhere, and when we tried to ask our waitress about it she sort of scooted away as if something more important came up. We didn't have the time to really complain or speak to a manager so we just said screw it and paid and left. I mean the money was going to a good cause so it wasn't a major deal. I met a co-worker for dinner here. I truly enjoyed the food and the sangria was amazing! I had a steak, salad, and potato. All were delicious and the steak was grilled perfectly. We were checked on by the Manager which I thought was super cool! My only complaint was that I wasn't expecting such a loud environment. This is a great place, even for a chain restaurant. I'm not usually particularly fond of chain restaurants. The service here is very friendly. We had a very attentive waiter named, the Chief. I hope he's our waiter next time. The food is delicious. My husband loves their steak and their sides. You can pick out which steak you get while you're waiting. It was cooked perfectly.
