The food is fantastic and the service is pretty good. The atmosphere is loud, rowdy, and the waitstaff will line-dance whenever an appropriate line-dancing song comes up. The food is priced relatively cheaply for a steakhouse as well. If you bring someone for their birthday, they'll be in for a surprise with the saddle . . . It's peanut country when you first walk in (there's a sign on the door that warns people with peanut allergies to stay away), with barrels of peanuts in the waiting area and peanut buckets on the tables. You can throw your shells on the ground (and that's what the waitstaff does when your peanut bucket gets full of shells). One warning - save room for your meal because those warm rolls with cinnabutter are incredibly filling. I recommend the ribs, 10oz steak (or 32 oz if you're daring), and fried chicken. You usually can get an appetizer with your entree (garden salad with thousand island dressing is SO good) and two sides as well (chili and fries are great). They've got a bar and TVs showing whatever sports game is on, too, for all the sports junkies. Amusing side note - the bathroom is labeled "Outhouse." I agree with Jeffrey H. - yeehaw! read more

Went here for dinner the other night with my company. It was A-OK, but nothing too special. The steak was quite good, but nothing else really stood out. The sides were mediocre and not particularly tasty, the Blue Moon I had on tap wasn't very fresh, and the atmosphere was loud and noisy. I was surprised that the restaurant was packed on a random Thursday night and the parking lot was full to the brim. It was decent but I don't know that I would come here again unless I was craving a steak. I did like the fact they had a case of fresh cut steak specials to offer some variety from the standard ones they had on the menu so that you could pick out your own steak. Cool idea. Don't come here if you've got a peanut allergy because there are peanuts and peanut shells littering the entire restaurant. I am not joking when I say they are everywhere and there's a good chance that someone with a nut allergy could die before even being seated.. It's a fun idea to offer peanuts but after being there for 5 minutes I started getting shells stuck in my shoes and it became more of an annoyance than anything. Last thought: You might want to skip this place if you hate country music, it's pretty much all they play. read more

Rating = 3.5 stars We went here for the first time recently and given all the so-so reviews on Yelp I ended up pleasantly surprised. They asked us as soon as we walked in if it was our first time and when we said yes, the hostess very enthusiastically explained all about the rolls, cinnabutter, ribs and how we could choose our own steak. Later on, upon hearing that it was our first time the manager came by to welcome us and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit. Overall, we had a very good experience. A lot of times you expect food at a chain restaurant to be average but I thought the food here was pretty good. It was fresh, tasty and well-cooked. Service was great too. Our waitress took time to explain the menu and was very accomodating with our requests. We ordered the fried blossom (a large onion cut up and fried) for an appetizer, Dallas filet (a regular filet mignon) and rib-eye steak with a sidekick (side order) of ribs. They are known for the ribs which I thought were good but not as tender as I expected. For dessert, we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie tasted more like a warm chocolate cake but otherwise was fine. Oh, for what it's worth, the rolls were OK - not OMG I'm dying I've got to have more smothered with cinnabutter kind of thing though. I had a few bites with the cinnabutter and that was enough. I could see if you are a carb lover then maybe you'd go nuts. My husband thought the cinnabutter with the rolls was reminiscent of a Cinnabon but I don't agree. There's no ooey, gooey, buttery goodness that comes with a Cinnabon. I thought it was going to be a huge mess with the peanuts all over but our table didn't even have a bucket of peanuts and there were no shelled peanuts on the floor in our vicinity. It was also fairly early (6 pm) when we were there so maybe there wasn't enough traffic yet to create all those peanut shells and dust on the floor. The value for the quality and quantity of food was pretty good. Our dinner including the blossom, filet, rib-eye, half rack of ribs, two kids meals, a margarita and brownie cost $70 including tax. I would give this place a 7 out of 10. Good food for the most part. The chicken fritters, or whatever they're called, the chicken finger like things, they're really really greasy and they leave a long lasting after taste. If you get them, share them, as I did just the other night. Their steak is delicious, and the sides, for the most part, are great. I love mashed potatoes, but theirs has way to much sour cream incorporated into it. I ordered it twice before, hoping the first time was a mistake with how much sour cream they used, but that's just how it's served. Other than that, it's a good place. Service can range, but for the most part it's accommodating. This place has a manager who walks around and asks if everything is ok, which is great. The only problem I had was one of the other servers brought our food out and immediately just dropped it on the table before I could mutter a word when I was in need of a refill. Eating a steak, and other salty foods, requires a drink....but our actual server redeemed that situation by bringing up another round about 6 minutes after, which did seem like a while, but to her credit, it was packed. Finishing up a fine meal not consumed too long ago, I feel its time I review Texas Roadhouse. I've been to this certain restaurant (and quite a few others) over the course of time and this is probably my favorite location. There is call-ahead seating for people wondering (which I recommend using-especially if you have a large party.) And for the people who don't get call ahead seating, well, be prepared for a decent wait (about an hour on fridays) But don't worry, you get unlimited peanuts. The food quality is consistent. I've really never had a bad meal here. If you can get past the well-worthed wait your in for a good time. Tonight I tried the ribs and they were very tasty. I also had two glasses of their iced tea which was also yummy. Some items can be a bit pricey, like the filets and different fishes, but other than that they have a menu for all different price ranges and appetites. Always wanted to try this place at the Rhode Island location but its always crazy packed there. Then finally we happen to be around this location and Texas Roadhouse here seems more lowkey so we stopped in for a bite. The bread and butter was delicious! They were really generous with it too, always asking if we wanted more. Also love their margaritas! So much to choose from and love that u can add those kickers. Overall meal was good. Had the sirloin tips. They were cooked to my liking. Kids got fries with their meals however, they were so over seasoned that they could not be enjoyed. Sent them back. me and my husband went out to dinner.first i placed us on the call ahead waiting list. they told us an hour and to be there by 6pm. we checked in at 530. we stayed in the car waiting for our text saying our table is ready. we saw people get there after us going in so we went in at 630 to see what was going on. this is the second time they have put people ahead of us. then we get seated finally and we get an appetizer with out the sauce we asked for,our waitress was no where to be found. we dont see her again till our food comes out. we waiting an hour for our food to come out to be cold, my potatoes were chunks of hard cold potatoes,my chopped steak was burnt and not pink it was cold and gross. my husbands food was also cold. we again didnt see our waitress till we were paying our bill. the food and service sucks and makes us not want to visit this location again such disappointment. only thing that was good was the bread. read more

My BBQ roasted half chicken was excellent. It was sweet, tender, and fell right off the bone. My sides of corn and mashed potatoes were good as well. Talk about feeling rushed!! There was a party of 4 of us that went on a Friday night. We decided to arrive at 430 to beat the rush which was a great idea- we were seated as soon as we arrived. But the food was a separate issue. We ordered appetizers, salads and main courses that literally came out within seconds of each other I am all for having food bright out in a timely fashion but there was absolutely no room on the table for all of our food, which made it extremely uncomfortable. I could definitely tell that the waitress was trying to rush us out because the dinner time rush was upon us, but at least space out the food a little! Just left, had a horrible experience with shantee (or I'm not sure her name) as our waitress. From the beginning she was VERY rude! As she says by quote "hi my name is shitantee what do u want." She was not attentive at all. Forgot our drinks, then after 15 mins of taking out order she says one of our dishes was out of stock. Additionally, she forgot to bring out our salads and after we brought it to her attention, she did not apologize at all. Bathrooms were disgusting. Food has been good in the past but tonight the ribs and steak were very dry. In conclusion, the food we had tonight was not up to par. Over all I am not coming back to this location. Awful service. Awful hospitality. We were with a party that called to see if they could accommodate a party of 30 on a Saturday night. Now, they were completely aware that that is a huge amount of people for a Saturday night and would have accepted a "we can not accommodate you" if that was what was said. We were told they cannot do reservations, but they do call ahead. Ok fine. Not a promised spot.. but also told us we cannot sit until we are all there too. Ok that's fine too. When we got there, we checked in and were told they have a section for us and we're just waiting for a couple tables to get up to complete the party? Great! We were stoked that it worked out. 45 minutes go by. People are walking out and a ton of party's got sat at once. The waiting area was literally out party of 30 and that's it. We go in to ask about what's going on and this where is gets annoying. Amanda, the manager that night, turned into this power hungry jerk. WE CANT SIT YOU ALL TOGETHER. SOME HERE, SOME HERE, AND SOME HERE THATS WHAT WE CAN DO. Well that would be all fine and dandy if that's what we were told straight from the beginning but that was not the case. The way she continued to talk to us was just absolutely unacceptable. The people who were in charge of planning the whole thing are actually regulars there as well and go quite frequently so that's the worst part about being treated like garbage. Went there for a birthday dinner tonight, friend called ahead and told them it would be a party of about 30-40 people, we were told to be there for 6. Because the whole party wasn't there we weren't to be seated. Knowing you had a large group coming, though no reservations at this place, they did nothing to accommodate the party. We stood outside for 45 minutes while people went in and out. Twice the manager Amanda was told everyone was there. She didn't believe us. Instead of coming out and checking on the amount of people there, she was BLATANTLY RUDE, insinuating that no matter who was there we essentially would not be seated. Our party went to Fuddruckers because it was right there, we called while still waiting in the parking lot of Texas, they told us they would make it work for us. They had a reserved room emptying from a current party and let us use that. Most of us had food within 15 minutes of ordering, before some of us were even sitting. I will never go to Texas again based on the rudeness of one bad manager. They lost out on a good amount of money. Your job is customer service, not being rude to your paying customers. read more

' If I could give them less than 1 star i would. We have gone to this location many times and never had an issue but it seems like weeknights are not the time to go. It was a slow Wednesday night double the amount of staff than there were customers. Whipped cream was all over the floor coming out of the kitchen and the hostess said it was a waiters birthday (understandable but clean it up). Waitresses/waiters/managers walking in and out of the kitchen with a mouth full of food walking to their tables and licking their fingers. One guy had a plate of food in his hand coming out of the kitchen while picking his teeth. The bartender was eating her food while making drinks and yelling across the bar to people telling them to bring her things. Our waitress walked by us atleast 3 times while we hadn't touched our food in 10 minutes not asking if we needed anything and proceeded to stand at the bar talking and looking at a customers phones while herself and an off the clock cook and the bartender chatted and ate their twinkies socializing. I went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time recently and boy was it interesting. First, it is worth mentioning that I am a healthy eater and when I go out to dinner I usually have grilled fish or something, so I fully understand that this place was not meant for people like me. However, I went with my husband's fam just to be a good sport. I was worried because I had heard rumors that the breadbaskets have over a day's worth of calories and that people throw peanut shells on the floor. When we walked in, the atmosphere was as expected. A typical chain restaurant setup, it is dark in there and doesn't feel entirely that clean. The booths were huge..which I later found out is for a reason. Most of the other people eating there were ENORMOUS. One table, I swear to God they all weighed 300+lbs and there were six of them. Anyway, back to the food. The bread came, and it looked delicious, almost glazed in something, but I didn't try it. Everyone else was going bananas over it though. I munched on some of the peanuts, and happily they provide a bucket for the shells so you don't throw them on the ground. I got the healthiest thing I could possibly find on the menu, which was a chopped salad with grilled chicken and hardboiled egg. I believe it came with bacon and cheese and I asked them to leave that out. The dressing, which I got on the side, was actually quite good and the salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken was nice and warm and seasoned just enough. I couldn't believe how good it was. My nephew got a kids meal with two little burgers and fries and he seemed to enjoy that. The kids menu didn't have many healthy options but for once and a while I think it was fine for kids. My husband and his Mom got ribs, which they thought were very good. It came with two sides, and they got fries and mashed potatoes and veggies, all of which looked pretty good. Nobody got dessert. In sum, if you can keep your food down around some of the biggest people you'll ever see, this place is ok. Almost everything on the menu is unhealthy, but it wasn't impossible to make a decent choice either. The waitstaff was very nice and attentive also. I do not think I would go back here by choice just because there isn't enough for me to eat, but if you like ribs and fried stuff this place is a sure bet. read more

After too many second chances, we will not ever be back. The price and terrible service are not worth the mediocre food. It is a turn and burn kind of mentality here; all they care about is getting you your food, and getting you out the door. I understand this principal to an extent. Sure, the more customers you serve, the more money you'll make (the point of any business, I get it), the place is always packed, and there is always a wait to be seated- but I am a paying customer. And I eat rather quickly. I am not camping out here, folks! To have your salads dropped two minutes after your appetizer, and your meal (incorrectly cooked, usually) to be dropped just minutes after your salad, and the staff trying to remove plates that your still working on isn't just poor planning, its rude. It almost makes you wonder if its not encouraged, since it has happened virtually every time we have been here. I always order my steak medium rare. It is always still bloody gross when I get it. A manager will come back with it 're-fired' and will ask that you cut into it. Standing right there looking at it, seeing that it is now grey, they will ask "is that better"? Of course, I wont say "no, its worse! but since everyone else is done with their meal, I am not sending it back" but that is exactly how I have left feeling. Oh, and the service is usually terrible! other than my steak incidents, the service is enough to keep me from coming back. Id rather the Outback, or to pay an extra few bucks and go to T bones. If your dropping some $ on dining out (on steak) it may as well be worth it. Also, bring your ear plugs. A little loud is ok, not being ale to hold a conversation at your table, not ok. read more
