Because I start my reviews with positives I struggled with this review so perhaps there is more to like about this restaurant than we encountered on a Friday night. SO GREAT! Was craving filet and sat at the bar (Amber rocks). Got the Filet medallions (3 each totaling 9 oz) w/ 3 sides for $24!!??!! This place was really cute and way better than I remembered it. The service, ambiance and food were all a 5 out of 5! We loved the peanuts! It was nostalgic! The appetizer sampler is a must and the ribs appetizers with fries were a great start to our main course; burger, chicken salad, filet mignon and rib eye. Came in for dinner last night and I can say it was a decent experience. We had a bit of a wait which is okay and fine, the host who was taking us got us two basket of bread how thoughtful but he forgot to give us butter for it! Totally cool... we asked our server for it and he brought it. But then we ran out :( and needed more and was waiting for our server to come back to get us more until one of the acting manager stopped by the table asking if we needed anything let her know which we asked for more butter and she said absolutely and then we just never saw that butter again lol. Anyways the food hmm it was okay. I think the med rare was abit more bloody than usually as well the steak had 0 flavor which was unfortunate But the side and the drink was amazing though ! Yesterday, on our way to The Reilly Center, we stopped for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Ocala. We waited for maybe 10 minutes to be seated, and once escorted to our seats we were waited on promptly by the staff. The ambiance was good, and even though it was busy, the tables were cleaned almost immediately after the last customers departed. Dawn and I both ordered steaks with a side salad. She got a baked sweet potato and I had the seasoned rice. The food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. It was served hot. It was presented well and it was cooked to our liking. Our server was cordial and made frequent trips to check on us. It was definitely a strong 4 star service, and the only detractor was the wait. (It was HOT outside) *** The high point was the food, and the price. It was much better than I would have expected, and we had a good amount to take home. I want to start by saying thank you to Amber our lovely waitress that was spot on in every way. We were worried because it was so busy but were seated right away. I got the herb crusted chicken fried pickled sweet potato and salad and everything was so good so thank you to the chefs . By far the worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never been compelled to write a review until now. Service was horrible. Didn't have a sever just 2-3 people bringing us food and drink and that's it. No asking us for refills or how we're doing. I ordered the 16oz sirloin cooked medium rare and it was raw with the outside slightly charred. I eat at steakhouses pretty frequently so I know what medium rare and that steak was not that. I asked someone that was passing by if we could get a medium steak. The manager, who, it was clear was very aggravated and ready to be hostile and argue with us, brought us back the same exact steak that was medium rare. They had just thrown it back on the grill. Even after this the steak still tasted awful and I never finished it because of the taste and the texture. Overall just really disappointed and frustrated. read more

I have to say that of all the visits we have had, and there have been many with issues, this by far was the worst. If you don't offer Martini's say so, don't just bring a double shot of vodka with olives thrown in the bottom of a rocks glass. The food was beyond a disaster. The Texas blossom was cold, burnt, greasy and just plain nasty. The steak fries were just as bad, they just sat under a heat lamp for two hours. Then we get to the sweet potato that had a 6 inch stem sticking off the end of it. The rolls were half cooked and gummy raw. No steaks were cooked as requested. It wasn't that busy a night, there have been busier ones. The location has gone down hill in the last couple months. Guess it is time to find another steak location. read more

The only problem was I ordered, prime rib, medium rare, and before I ordered, I'll make sure that they have it because they have to verify or they cannot put the order in. And they had it in the order was put in and one minute before they brought the entire order out. They come out to tell me that they're out of prime rib what would I like? I ordered the New York strip. It came out when everybody was about half done with their meals, and I had a lot of gristle and fat in it. I wasn't gonna do anything until I received my bill and it still had prime rib on it so I asked for the manager why they did not comp half or put $15 gift card towards my meal for the major inconvenience of what they did. Manager in this photo it's a good shirt came out. He said I'm sorry basically suck it up deal with it. I brought six people into the restaurant this evening and he failed to realize I was there a night before and in my business that I own, I take the entire Spa to Texas roadhouse for some of our celebrations. Was there last night, service was awlful. My steak was undercooked and sent back. They put the same piece of steak on the grill and reserved it. Totally against health code. Once a plate is served in front of a customer they are not allowed to place the same food back in front of you, they're suppose to remake it with a new steak. The waitress then says that the managers tell them if the steak is undercooked to just put it back on the grill and cook it longer. read more

I'm a huge fan of the critter salad, but this is the 2nd time I've come to my local establishment to be served nuggets.......and ones that seem refried at that. What a great experience! We came to eat here for dinner as we were staying in town for the weekend. The entire staff was super friendly and get this... a manager visited every table to see if things were OK. I haven't seen that kind of service in a very long time. Our waitress, Reagan was attentive and personable. We will probably come back tomorrow and ask for her as well. Don't bother going to this particular TR. We started out with not getting any rolls, so had to ask for them. The waitress stated she didn't know we wanted them!!! Then I asked if they had medium prime rib. Waitress stated they did. When my dinner arrived, the prime rib was well done and a tough end piece. I advised the waitress and she said, yeah it's all we have tonight is well done!!! Strike number 2. My husband ate his entire dinner and my replacement steak never came out. I asked the waitress to see a Manager. She didn't come after 10 more minutes. Then we told the waitress we wanted a check to get out of there. Miraculously, the Manager showed up with my steak replacement. I told her I didn't want it now. She stated it's free so you might as well take it. I asked her how was I rude? She said I talked over her. Unbelievable, since I did no such thing. I then told her to give us our check and she said she'd comped the entire meal but ran off in a huff. I went to Texas Roadhouse yesterday for a late lunch. I was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess. My waiter was Victor, and he was friendly, informative, and efficient. I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye and Rib Combo. It was cooked perfectly and both meats where melt in your mouth! I really did not expect such quality from a chain. The price of $32.00 was very fair. We originally were going to Ruby Tuesdays...but guess what? Not only is their Gainesville location closed, so is their Ocala! So disappointed at first, but since the hubby was choosing, right in the same parking lot was Texas Roadhouse, so here we are. This is somewhere that (and I'm embarrassed to admit it) I've never been to before. And wow, was I so impressed. No more than just a few minutes until we were led back to our table and we got the luck of the draw with our server, Keithshaun. He was friendly, entertaining and very quick to bring us everything and check up on us often. We were so happy to end up here after all. We've been wary of Ocala restaurants since the fiasco we endured at Olive Garden here. I'm happy to announce that Texas Roadhouse does not have any problems we've seen so far with food, cleanliness or service. Instead of ordering several different appetizers, we opted for the three app sampler and got potato skins, rattlesnake bites and fried pickles. They were all hot and fresh, delicious and we inhaled them almost immediately! Highly recommend their potato skin!! Much better than some other place (and I'm not dropping any names here) and oh my...those rattlesnake bites that are chopped jalapeños mixed with cheddar cheese, battered then deep fried...SOOOO good! The fried pickles really hit the spot too...just managed to clear all that out when my Caesar salad arrived. Wow!! So good too. Sometimes restaurants will overdress your salad and it's just too much...sometimes they really skimp on dressing and you're begging for just a lil bit more....this was PERFECT. Their house Caesar dressing has that fresh flavor to it and a nice bite of parmesan cheese. I was not only impressed....I was delighted! For our meal, he ordered the bone-in ribeye steak with double fries (can't tell he likes his meat and potatoes, can you? Lol) while I ordered the double grilled pork chops with a plain sweet potato (I'm allergic to milk, therefore, butter is a no-no). His steak was smothered in grilled onions and mushrooms...cooked to perfection. Shock and awe was written all over his face after that first bite! I was so happy he was loving it too. I wouldn't normally order TWO pork chops ever, but two were only $16.99 and I was still well under the cost of his steak. They were perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender, topped with a phenomenal peppercorn sauce that was to die for! My sweet potato was also perfectly cooked, moist and the perfect compliment to the meal. Next time we go out, I know where we can be sure to have a great meal for less than we'd normally spend and get great food, great service and have a great time...HERE! read more

I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Memphis on a cold winter night in February. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer, looked at the menu and as I told the bartender, I wasn't that hungry because I had a bigger lunch with some fellow consultants. I ordered the combo plate, 2 skews of shrimp and a small filet. The bartender came back to me a few minutes later and asked me what kind of steak I wanted, not having been asked that question before I told him sirloin. Got my salad a little while later but still waiting another 20 minutes when the bartender finally brought out my meal, a steak overflowing the plate, baked potato, and another plate with 4 skews of shrimp on it. It was the first time that I had been in that restaurant so I figured I'd eat what I could and take the rest home. Finished what I could and asked for the bill, he hands it to me and they charged me for 2 entrees, I told him that wasn't right and asked to speak to the manager. He grabbed the bill out of my hand and took it, he came back a short time later, put the bill in front of me and told me I had to pay it! Not right! I paid it because I didn't have any other choice! We dined here to meet my brother-in-law and his family. They were driving from Toronto to go on a cruise. We showed up around 9pm but there was still almost a 30 minute wait. They close at 10:30. My husband and I have never been to a Texas Roadhouse so we had no idea what to expect. We ordered our drinks and dinner shortly after being seated but the entrees did take a while. I ordered chicken fingers, which were decent. Hubs had the ribs, which he enjoyed. We also all split the onion appetizer. It was much more cooked properly and less greasy than Outback's but I was not crazy about the dipping sauce. My husband attempted to order another beer but our server said the bar was closed. I never have been to a restaurant or worked in one where they stopped serving before the restaurant closed. Everything came out correct but almost everyone at the table was missing a side dish. My husband ordered mixed vegetables and after the third time of asking, it was delivered raw with some melted butter on it. We all laughed. I enjoyed our server Jonathan and made sure to tip him above 22%. I am not a huge fan of chains but there are some that I absolutely crave. I may dine here again if someone suggests it but there was nothing that stood out for me. read more

Came here for Mother's Day, was disappointed that we were somewhat forgotten about, forgot our fries, I specifically asked for chicken (without bbq) and whenever they brought it out half an hour later it had bbq sauce on it so I asked politely if I could get it without it, they took the chicken back and brought it out 20 minutes later and it was the same chicken which the waitress then said "here's your brand new chicken breast" that had the barbecue sauce scraped off and then it looked like it was reheated. Food is good but had a Terrible experience with their resolution department. Haven't been back since. May 5th, 2025. My wife and I had family come in and had things like state park visits planned. Went to the Texas Roadhouse in Ocala for dinner. It was crowded with ppl coming in and out crowding the doors. Double door was open but for some unknown reason they had a movable post sitting near the middle of it. My wife went in to get a bag of peanuts to bring back out while we waited to be called. Going out the double door into the smaller ante-room? her foot caught the base of the post (almost the same color as the floor) and she tripped and went head first into the wall of the outer room. The manager, nice as she was, came out and had an ambulance called because my wife had heard something make a snapping sound in her body. She has existing medical issues so she is aware of her body maybe more than others. The ambulance got there and suggested she go in for testing so she went to the hospital in the ambulance and I followed. The manager had given me a number to call for Texas Roadhouse "loss prevention" or something like that. Better called "ways to screw people over department". After spending most of the night in the hospital getting Xrays, CT's etc. and having to tell our family they will have to go to places without us that weekend, we called the number. Fast forward to after a month and a half of being ignored repeatedly by the lady at the "Texas Roadhouse screws the people department" with unanswered phone calls, unreturned voicemails etc., after we decided to get a lawyer and then drop the lawyer because they only wanted big payouts where we just wanted to talk about splitting the hospital bill (They are the ones who called the ambulance), my wife finally got her on the phone only for her to tell us "well you had been in the restaurant at least two times prior without tripping so it's your fault, bye!". We were stunned at the callousness. My wife blamed herself for having to go to the hospital. Said she shouldn't have gone because now we had to pay for it. I tried to soothe her saying the cost doesn't matter more than getting the information we needed about her health. I told her I would write something but I wanted to wait a bit so I could write clearly and beyond reflex. From the time of the incident until Texas Roadhouse told us to piss off, it had already been at least a month and a half. But I waited and waited some more to see if my perspective would change. It hasn't. With her now, 6 months later, still having to go to physical therapy because of this, we both still feel like we were owed a little more of a dignified response from Texas Roadhouse. We didn't think that because she had successfully navigated the obstacle a couple of times it meant that the obstacle was fine. The manager even directed someone to get it out of the way because as my wife was laying on the ground completely humiliated and in pain, a gentleman entering almost tripped over the same thing. Even as much as we like Texas Roadhouse food, we haven't been back since that time. It is a shame really. I wish you all the best of luck and please watch your step. Texas Roadhouse doesn't give a rats ass if you get hurt in their establishment and they will find a way to make you feel even worse for doing so, giving meaning to the term "adding insult to injury". read more

We've ate here 3 times and each time there were no rolls. We were told that they were in the oven and it would be about 5 minutes. We didn't receive them until after we had already ate most of our dinner. This is not really a big deal but people who came in after us were receiving theirs. We both ordered salads and received them the same time we got our main course so didn't really get to eat the salad or our food would have gotten cold. The service manager came by the table to apologize for the rolls so we mentioned the issue with the salads and he just said ok and walked away.
