I was not impressed at all with the Legend Margarita. I think it's their version of a Cadillac but it didn't look like one. It was missing the float of Grand Marnier and was sadly lacking in flavor and tequila. I usually take a million pics but I forgot this time. I also ordered the Granny's Apple Classic, a baked dessert topped with vanilla ice cream and sauce. When it arrived to my table, it had already melted significantly and looked unappetizing. I don't care for a pie swamped in already-melted ice cream. It tasted fine but if this is the normal presentation, I would never order it again. The noise level is loud. My family and I went to Texas Roadhouse for my mom's birthday on 9/11/24, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious my boyfriend and I shared a plate, and it was the perfect portion for us. The rolls were, as always delicious, and our server, Mallory, even gave us some to take home! The restaurant was clean and fresh, which added to the nice atmosphere. However, the service had a small hiccup. Our mom's server, Sophie, was nice to us, but I noticed she wasn't very kind to Mallory when she asked if we could include my mom's meal on my tab. Sophie's response came with an attitude, saying, 'This is my table and my customers.' Mallory handled it professionally and apologized to us, explaining that she didn't want to argue in front of us. The hype is real!!! I've been dying to try Texas Roadhouse since they opened this location. The wait here is insane. It could go up to 2-2.5 hours so I highly suggest you call and add your name to the waitlist. Their call ahead waitlist is so handy with the text alerts. We started off with their dinner rolls which were huge and yeasty. It come with cinnamon butter. We also ordered the cactus blossom which was hot and crispy. Their steaks were extremely tender and cooked to perfection. The sides I chose were mashed potatoes with brown gravy and a cup of chili. The potatoes were so creamy. Well I have to say what a different experience my second time at the restaurant. We sat at the bar and it took over 10 mins for us to be attended. We finally got to order appetizers and it was served while still waiting on their complimentary bread. We finished our drinks and took over 15 mins to be able to order another round. There were two bartenders and they walked by looking around but didn't even notice empty glasses, not a good way to encourage sales. It was loud and difficult to get bartenders attention, granted it being loud, but they could have visually see empty glasses. Finally ordered entrees and took over 40 mins for a salad and sandwich, and when it finally came out my order was wrong. I ordered medium on the filet for my salad, came out super well done. Bartender sent it back to correct but didn't want to wait another 40 mins and my husband already finished his meal. So I asked to cancel, they did.. Horrible service from the time we walked in the door. We ordered a country fried steak, it was slimy and over breaded. We sent it back. Ordered a medium well steak the gave us a medium rare steak that was very bloody. The server dropped and left our table for over 30 minutes so the steak just sat there. The manager, Marissa, who's very rude came and told us they can take the steak and recook it. It is against the health code to take food from a customers table to recook it. I've filed a complaint with the health department but this needs to be addressed. read more

I've never had such a rude and unprofessional experience at a Texas Roadhouse until tonight. While finishing up my meal and organizing my table to pack leftovers into to-go boxes, I briefly set my plates down on a nearby server tray stand that was left right next to my table. Suddenly, a manager--some woman with black hair, named Marissa--stormed over and snapped at me with a nasty attitude, claiming I wasn't supposed to use the tray stand. Mind you, I wasn't trying to be disrespectful or cause any issues--I was simply trying to clean up and make space, and I was planning to put everything back. But instead of politely explaining, she chose to be loud, rude, and completely disrespectful. Her tone and approach were totally unnecessary and unprofessional. It's shocking that someone with such poor customer service skills is in a managerial position. I will absolutely be reporting her to corporate. If you're going to manage a restaurant, at the very least, know how to speak to your customers with basic respect. read more

After cutting thru a couple different sides of the steak to verify it was all overdone I flagged down my waiter and showed him the overcooked steak and he said they would replace. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant, right next to what looked like an employee break area. There was even Tupperware on the table across from us. As people of color, it was hard to ignore the fact that we were led past plenty of open, better tables to be sat in that particular spot. That didn't sit right with us. The food was also not good. Absolutely amazing food at this place. I was taken to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday and really like how they let you choose your steak. I had a 23 ounce ribeye and let me tell you it was absolutely superb! I'm a steak lover and I am finicky with my steaks. I don't like a lot of bs frills and crap. I just like a regular classic American steak and this place did NOT disappoint. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms were also very delicious, along with the house salad. The IPA beer was a tall mug, which I was surprised at , because I thought it would come in one of the smaller pint glasses. The customer service was also great. They kept coming by at just the right times. The attitude and vibe of the servers there is on point, even when it is super busy. It's my new favorite and I will be going here instead of Outback. Came here for my moms birthday and it's worth the long drive from Long Beach. Their rattlesnake bites are good but not really my thing. I also tried out their Fort Worth Ribeye Steak and it was very tender and well cooked. Only negative is how much fat and undercooked meat was left over. The baked potato was good as always. We asked for refills on drinks, but now he gives us the silent treatment and gives us an annoyed nod as if we were really bothering him. We waited for more than 15 minutes on our refills when we asked a waitress passing by about our drinks. She asked us who our waiter was and looks at our slip. She looks at it and gives a look as if she knew how he was not a good server and tells okay I will get them for you. OSCAR finally arrives with our drinks, he brought ice teas, lemonade and refilled the waters....mind you we ordered 2 specialty non alcoholic drinks, but did not bring them nor did he tell us about the charge if more were needed...So we said nevermind on our drinks and just drank water due to him appearing that he was bothered by us..He took our food order and it seemed normal to wait..our food arrived. He arrived after the food was served to us and OSCAR asked if we needed anything, we asked for A1 and Tabasco, barbecue sauce and more bread. After bringing us what we wanted, he advised us that he was going on his 30 min break. WE WERE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT WE WERE GOING TO HOPEFULLY GET SOMEONE BETTER THAT WOULD HELP US. DANIELLA introduced herself and often asked us if we needed anything....She would immediately bring us what was needed. A tip was left but it was not the 18% because OSCAR DID NOT DESERVE IT. My complaint is that other servers were seen often going to their tables in a good mood. That was the service we wanted and deserved. OSCAR was bothered and it was visibly noticeable. He became non-verbal with us and that made it clear to our party that we were not going to receive the service we deserved. We were a party of 5 females and 1 male. We were well mannered and very respectful during the long wait and NEVER complained. WE DID NOT DESERVE THAT POOR SERVICE FROM OSCAR.
