1 star bc my food was fresh. Minus stars for waiting an additional 20 minutes for an order I'd place more than 30 minutes prior to coming and for not cooking the steak to medium well. This is more like medium rare. I have a food aversion so once it's wrong, it immediately evokes a physical reaction. When I bit into the steak (didn't cut bc im traveling, only have plastic utensils) I immediately tasted and felt the coolness of the pink meat. This wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't have this condition but I do. Eating meat at the requested temp is a necessity to me...not just a preference. Also, I'm traveling in the area and it's late. It's not like I can come back tomorrow. My salad was also wrong. In addition, what's the point of implementing a check process when no one is actually doing it?! The backup ticket to ensure accuracy isn't completed. This is a case of unfocused staff. When I went in, the young ladies at the to-go counter were congregating instead of actually working, on their cell phones, and hadn't even sent me the confirmation text to tell me my food was ready. Another issue: There's a number on the to-go signs that no one answers! I literally called and the phone rung for several minutes. Texas Roadhouse is the perfect in between steakhouse. What I mean by that is if you want a $40.00 steak at a much more reasonable price then this is your place! I love their FT. Service was great. Pleasant, quick and with a smile. Atmosphere was excellent. Plenty of tv's near the bar and plenty of staff to accommodate your needs. The restaurant was not to loud nor routy. Perfect for a family meal or to grab a cold one. I myself ordered the "Country Fried Steak" with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were amazing.. but the county fried steak was quite *salty*. Especially not for special events, dates during quarantine, or anniversaries. My wife and I went there to celebrate our three years of being together mark, and our first month of marriage. I called ahead, and we ordered two steaks, medium rare, and medium. She had sweet potatoes for a side and I had Mac and cheese and green beans. Both of the steaks were way over cooked. One was well done and the other was medium well/ done. Her sweetpotatoes were black, and my mac n cheese was kraft easy Mac. We drove out to picnic and when we opened our food we were disappointed. For $32, we got one mediocre steak, easy Mac, two burnt potatoes, and a lump of charcoal. When we called to order, the lady told us 15-20 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes later, and it took them 30 morn minutes to finish the food. I now realize that they were busy over cooking my steak. Also, we ordered rolls, and they didn't even include them. I've contacted the management, but they haven't gotten back to me, so here's for all of y'all to have a heads up. I won't trust their carry out ever again. Great service and good! We had a team dinner here and despite how many girls and separate checks our waitress had to do, she was still so nice and sweet! After being seated and taking our drink order, the waiter came back a few minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. I asked if we could see a menu first. The waiter pointed to a code on the wall which we were to scan with our phone to retrieve a menu. We had been there 2 weeks prior to this and they had paper copies of their menu. But now, according to the waiter it was getting too expensive to print menus. I was hungry and several minutes were wasted trying to place our order. A $57 dollar meal but they can't afford 2 cents for a menu. Will rethink going back there again or at least get more familiar with using my phone. Food was good. No complaints there. read more

Back at the road house and I have to say Sherman... Save your money Texoma. FYI there is a local brewpub now open on Sundays. These morons can't make a medium rare prime rib. What the kitchen can do is tell folks that prime rib is cooked medium to well and not try to pass the over cooked portion off as medium rare. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Sherman. I try to eat here every time I'm in town which is a couple times a month. Although the wait to get a table can be long at times I've started using their call ahead feature. My last two visits I had the pleasure of being served by Peyton who is just charming and very efficient. My favorite menu item is the filet and I usually get the sidekick grilled shrimp and a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. The hot rolls with sweet butter are wonderful when really hot, occasionally I've gotten them just barely warm and just ask to exchange them. One thing I learned was that a server is only allowed two tables at a time and while that guarantees efficient service I imagine it cuts down on the amount of tips they receive. Hopefully the servers can make up for that by quicker service and more turnover. I also signed up for their emails to receive coupons for free appetizers and other specials which helps. read more

We took our out of town relatives to eat Sat evening. Got seated quickly the hot rolls are great. But we ordered our meal. Waited for food for 30 to 40 minutes and everyones meal was cold. Only my husband sent his steak back. When asked waitress for veteran discount she took the ticket and only took 3$ off. The ticket said 30% discount. But neither veteran got that!! We used to really like Texas Roadhouse, but it is starting to slide down hill. Tonight took the cake. I noticed the bathroom was dirty and the door to the stall wouldn't close without lifting on it hard. The real problem was the steak. 1/3 of my ribeye was fat. It was about the size of the palm of my hand. No kidding! I like a little fat and marbling, but come on. Another delicious meal at the Texas Roadhouse. I am stuffed and miserable but will try to get this review done. The dinner rolls were hot and moist and perfect. They bring you honey butter but are happy to bring you regular butter. Whipped butter....... oh yeah. Salads were better than most but the croutons were really hard and the blue cheese was washed out. The salmon and baked potato were excellent. My companion (the birthday boy) said that the flavor of the steak fillet was delicious but it was not as tender as he expected. The sweet potato with brown sugar was very good. If you like to drink I encourage you to try the Cowboy Margarita. Our waitress Kaleigh was sweet and efficient even though she was very busy. Okay, so it's a chain - Texas Roadhouse (ticker: TXRH) has 275 restaurants across the US. My excuse is that there isn't a lot of selection in Sherman, TX where my parents live. That said, the experience was downright enjoyable. The complementary rolls are always hot - and the waitstaff offered to bring fresh rolls when they cooled. The beer is cole (I'm too much of a wine snob to venture to their selections) and the food is hot. In addition, the service is downright pleasurable. Not only was the waitress friendly but the manager came over to ask us how our meal - and service - was. ...and he really seemed to care. This is not the first time that I visited the restaurant - nor is it the only Texas Roadhouse that I have visited. Every time, I get consistent food, drinks - and SERVICE! read more

After getting our drink order taken, we waited another 15min. Still no drinks. We decided to leave, and on the way out, noticed our cold drinks had become warm waiting by the bar. There are locations closer to me at home, but my coworker and I always make a stop here while in Sherman, TX for work. This place always seems busy, but I've only ever had to wait once (on a Friday night). The servers are always friendly and service is prompt...sometime too prompt! For example last time my coworker ordered an appetizer as soon as we sat down, then about 10 mins later we ordered salads and our dinner. 10 mins after that, still no appetizer. Well, finally it showed up, and 1 minute later so did our salads, and another 2 mins later there were our entrees! Bizzare. Anyways, the food is pretty good., not a Mortons, but not bad either. One annoying thing I find is when *trying* to order healthier (6oz filet, plain mashed potatoes, side salad w/ dressing on side and no cheese or croutons) the servers get a little question-y...what, you don't want to drench your mashed potatoes in southern gravy? Or load your baked potato? Or put bacon on your green beans? Or cheese on your salad? Or you don't want to wrap your leftovers up? And no room for dessert?You just have to keep saying no! read more
