There are locations closer to me at home, but my coworker and I always make a stop here while in Sherman, TX for work. This place always seems busy, but I've only ever had to wait once (on a Friday night). The servers are always friendly and service is prompt...sometime too prompt! For example last time my coworker ordered an appetizer as soon as we sat down, then about 10 mins later we ordered salads and our dinner. 10 mins after that, still no appetizer. Well, finally it showed up, and 1 minute later so did our salads, and another 2 mins later there were our entrees! Bizzare. Anyways, the food is pretty good., not a Mortons, but not bad either. One annoying thing I find is when *trying* to order healthier (6oz filet, plain mashed potatoes, side salad w/ dressing on side and no cheese or croutons) the servers get a little question-y...what, you don't want to drench your mashed potatoes in southern gravy? Or load your baked potato? Or put bacon on your green beans? Or cheese on your salad? Or you don't want to wrap your leftovers up? And no room for dessert?You just have to keep saying no! read more

The service was good and the food tasted great, but the atmosphere could only be described as rowdy. We were disturbed by other guests throughout the entire meal - they were yelling, hooting, and generally being obnoxious. I'm all for having a good time, but when my ears ache from all the noise it might be a little excessive. Try their rattlesnake bites appetizer. I could have had three baskets of those for my meal and been perfectly happy. Yum! read more

Ok I know it's my fault for expecting a decent steak here but come on I ordered 20 oz bone in rib eye and after I trimmed the six ozs of fat off it was just not much left. The server was friendly and the service was quick but the food was just very disappointing. I do not recommend this place for anyone. read more

Today we ate lunch, the food was amazing. However our server Destiny was awful. She forgot multiple things including bread! Her coworker Andrew was nice enough to bring us bread after over a twenty minute wait. It seemed that everyone she worked with just new to take care of the patrons who were unfortunately seated in her section. She left appetizer plates on our table till our meal was well over. All that was pretty lame, but my man sitting with an empty glass through the entire entree is what did it for me. I'll go to the one in Dallas next time. read more

We love to eat here! The rolls upon arriving to your table are always hot and delicious! Steak is always how I request medium! I like the chili as well. Really what's not to like here!?! I guess the only thing is it's loud at times. I had the house salad today and THAT is how restaurants should have a house salad! Boy the Pork Chop where awesome and very Jucy and good flavor and the sweet Raspberry tea is the boom!!!!!! Friends had Ribeye it was awesome as well very good flavor!!!! Feb 4th a couple ladies and myself visited the Texas Roadhouse in Sherman for our annual get together with each other along with some good food. We arrived about 6:15 and sat in a booth very close to the restrooms and kitchen entrance. I don't remember the name of our server but she was awesome. Our service and our food was outstanding! I can't express how much I appreciate all the staff who worked so hard to make our dining experience worthwhile during these trying times. Hats off to the Sherman Texas Roadhouse cooks and servers working so hard for you and I. Thank you and I pray you all stay safe and well while working to make a living by serving the public. I ordered 4 ready to grill Dallas fillets to go during this virus hysteria, they were very good. paid online and they brought them out to my truck. grilled them about 5 min on each side full blast high temp, came out perfect med rare. Never had an issue before until tonight , poor service and food quality seems to have dropped significantly asked for well done had a plate full of blood it took well over 20 minutes to get my steak back by the time the manager brings it back I've already eaten my potato, and asked me to cut into it i said no need I'm done. Food was good, service was bad. The service was quick to make a hiccup. Upon getting our drinks it took another 10 minutes later to get our straws. Had this been the only flaw, we could have easily overlooked this. However, that was not the case. Upon ordering we ordered sweet potato fries as a side and a cup of chili that was to arrive with the appetizer. But the chili never arrived with the appetizer. Did it arrive with the main course? No. Did it arrive at all? No. Chili-less, my girlfriend and I turned in horror as our main course arrived. Instead of sweet potato fries we were met with, instead, a sweet potato AND fries. Although we later found out sweet potato fries were not actually on the menu, it still amazes me that sweet-potato-fries (said uniformly at the same time) turned out to mean I want a baked sweet potato and French fries. Was it the end of our bad service adventure? Absolutely not. As the meal came to an end we were asked if we wanted a box, although our main course had no more than 3 strands of pulled pork and half a piece of Texas toast, we still had half a basket of fried pickles and 5 of their free rolls sitting infront of us. So we tell our more-disappointing-than-sour-milk waitress that we indeed wanted a box. To that she said, "okay, let me get this out of the way for you" and grabs the rolls and pickles. I look at my girlfriend who is convinced that she was going to throw them away, but I insist on the very very basic common sense of our waitress and assume she was packing the food for us. Turns out I was wrong. She comes back with a massive empty to-go box and i look down at the meager scraps on our main plate that our waitress thought we wanted "to-go". I just wonder what did we do to deserve this and why the waitress would ever think we would want to pack these scraps. Eager to leave, we get our bill and put our half eaten slice of Texas toast into the to go box (which doesn't even increase the weight of the to go box by a measurable amount). As the bill arrivals, Lo and behold, a cup of chili is on the bill. Refusing to pay for a hypothetical cup of chili, more myth than reality, we are given the fried pickles (which due to our waitress was now sitting at the bottom of a trash can) for free BUT the cup of chili remained on the bill. Despite the 2 dollar savings, I was still defeated by the fact that, on paper, I still paid for a mythical cup of chili. We were very curious why our service was so horrendous. Did we do something wrong? Was it that, as an interracial asian/latina couple, we were discriminated against amongst the all-white clientele? Had we come at a poor time? Whatever the reason, unless you're coming for the bread and only the bread, avoid this location at any cost. read more

Went in for the first time tonight with my husband for dinner and enjoyed every minute! Our waiter Brent was great and made us feel right at home. Everything we order was delicious, chili cheese fries to start and we shared the full rack of ribs which were amazing!! We will for sure be back! read more

Texas Roadhouse was - well, still is - one of my fav restaurants in Flower Mound and as I moved to Sherman I thought this one in town would be too. It's not. The one time I visited I got really disappointed - the food's ok but def not up to the TR standard I'm used to, the restaurant isn't even close to be as welcoming and clean and the service is mediocre at best. ...sad. :-( read more

It's a divey place and dirty. They throw the peanuts on the floor and it's very homey. It's the best steak in town and perfectly cooked. The salad is also very good and the balsamic vinaigrette is the dressing to get. Service is great. I wish the tables were bigger though. read more

Hostess Sat us at a dirty table. Then when we unrolled silverware the silverware was dirty. Got up to leave and as we were walking out a waiter was carrying two plates of food from kitchen over to tables on the side of door, while trying to get through the line of people a lady flung her hair and landed all over food on 1 of the plates and waiter walked right up to table and served the food. Texas Roadhouse has consistently great food and the waitstaff is usually very attentive. We always enjoy our meals there but sometimes the noise level is a little loud for visiting but we manage to eat there fairly often with friends. I would recommend Texas Roadhouse to anyone who asks! read more

Had dallas cut steak was the worst cut of steak I've had in a long time Luke warm relly tough. Gravy on mashed potatoes was congealed . Those awsome buns I look forward to were cold :( .Not one check up on by waitress. The food is another story, the cuts of meat are pretty good but there is so much salt in every dish that it makes it inedible! The wait staff is friendly. The food is good and you can't go wrong with any of the steaks. If you visit the bar, the staff changes nightly so your experience can as well. In while the bartenders are friendly and all do a decent job. Don't be surprised if a member of the management comes to check on you and make sure everything is going great. We had dinner tonight for my birthday. I would not say this was worst dinner I have had nut was in top 5. Let me start by saying my wife's steak and the potato skins were good that's where it stoped. She took our drink order just a draft beer and a margarita with salt. Came back so much later she could not remember who had which drink and had sugar on her rim not salt. She took our order for the potato skins and our steaks. We both asked f o r the green beans and 1 baked potato loaded and 1 sweet potato loaded. Mine came back with marshmallows. The green beans were mushy and my $26.00 steak almost needed a saw to cut it. I would have asked for redo but took so long to get first one. Never asked if we wanted another drink. As both sat there almost empty when she finally stoped back by go check on us. Only reason for 2 stars was wifes steak and potato skins. Last time we ate hear was almost as bad but usually is better so decided to give another chance. Not sure we will be going back any time real soon if ever read more
