Look at my baked Potato. And it still complimented my meal just a lite sprinkle of sugar. Mmmmmm good.

A Beautiful beginning at Texas Roadhouse This past Sunday was one of those heartwarming days that linger in your memory. My family and I started off the morning by attending a special service at our family's well-known church. It was a day of celebration, as we witnessed the baptism of a loved one--a sacred moment that brought us all closer together. After the service, we were filled with joy and decided to extend our celebration over a meal. With no hesitation, we all agreed on Texas Roadhouse in Shively. We knew it was the perfect spot to keep the good vibes rolling! As we arrived, the place was buzzing with life. It's no surprise that Texas Roadhouse is always lively--it's known for its upbeat atmosphere. Our group of eight wasted no time; we checked out the menu, ran a few bathroom breaks (you know how it goes with families), and got our name on the list for seating. We're multi-taskers by nature, so everything fell into place naturally. After a brief wait, we were called to our table, and that's when the real excitement began. Once seated, it didn't take long for everyone to figure out what they wanted. For me, it was an easy choice--the Sirloin & Ribs combo. Let me tell you, that sirloin steak was perfectly lean, just the way I like it, with a slight juiciness that gave each bite a melt-in-your-mouth sensation. The ribs? Oh, they were fall-off-the-bone tender, kissed with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. On the side, I opted for green beans and a sweet potato topped with a dollop of cinnamon butter--just enough to add a hint of sweetness without overpowering the natural flavors of the potato. As my plate arrived, everything was piping hot, but not too hot to enjoy. It was that perfect warmth that makes every bite comforting. And to top it all off, I had a refreshing glass of sweet tea--cool, crisp, and the ideal balance to my hearty meal. I glanced around the table, and the sight of my family digging into their plates with smiles on their faces made my heart full. Everyone was savoring their meal, and in that moment, I knew this was the perfect way to wrap up our special day. The food at Texas Roadhouse was not only delicious, but the portions were generous too. I ended up having enough leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day, and even had a roll saved for my Monday dinner--yes, their famous warm rolls with cinnamon butter are irresistible! Speaking of those rolls, did you know Texas Roadhouse bakes them fresh every five minutes to ensure they're always served hot and fluffy? It's that attention to detail that sets them apart and keeps people coming back. As we wrapped up our meal, I couldn't help but reflect on how perfect the day had been. From the baptism to the meal, everything just felt right. My sirloin, ribs, and sweet potato will forever be etched in my memory as the cherry on top of a beautiful day spent with family. I can't think of a better way to celebrate life's special moments than with those you love most--and Texas Roadhouse provided the ideal backdrop for that. If you've never been to Texas Roadhouse, I highly recommend it. The food melts in your mouth, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it's the kind of place that feels like home. Whether you're celebrating something big or just enjoying a casual meal, it's the perfect spot to create memories. I know I'll be back soon, and I can only hope your next visit is as fulfilling as mine!

The Catfish was great, very tasty and delicious. Our waitress was very professional and friendly. The playoffs being on the tv made for a great evening out with everyone enjoying the games.FANTASTIC

Ordered pickup June 7 at 430pm....steaks cooked right, salad right, bread (atleast we got some and extra) potato....you tell me would you eat this? It tasted burnt...horrible.. hubby's was the same... Yes I would rather eat in, but dementia changes that sometimes. Imagine getting home wanting a big potato they are famous for...and get this. What a disappointment! 1/3on our meal was horrible and had to b e thrown away...called...answer isn't my problem...really!

Some of us parked at the park and walked over, some parked at the restaurant, and some parked at the bank parking lot across the street (photo with this review shows signage with the posted hours of allowed parking access). Our party of 6 was immediately seated at 5:30 PM without a reservation. Restaurant had a light crowd at first, but was almost filled to capacity by the time we left at 7 PM. Since this is "Wing Week" in Louisville, I opted to try the special 6 piece cherry bourbon wing option. No sides came with this, so I opted to order an add on of broccoli salad. The wings were okay, just wish they'd been cooked perhaps a tad bit longer to add to the crispy instead of flabby texture. Sauce was decent. The broccoli salad was good with the standard ingredients of bits of bacon and raisins mixed in. I also had an Against the Grain draft beer, which was refreshing and paired well with the wings. My fellow diners also had wings, burgers, and salads as well as various draft beers. Each person was fairly satisfied. Waitstaff were fine, but a few missteps were made with orders. However, these were corrected quickly. Further training for the food runner would also be helpful since she attempted to reach across 2 diners several times to drop off orders instead of taking 2-3 steps around the table to hand things off directly. We had a couple of close calls with dishes being passed down the table because of this and the idea did not seem to intuitively occur to her. Great pre-show dining option close to the Ampitheater for events.

I did see there is a patio out front, then there is a small indoor seating area, but the real space is the back yard/porch. That area is impressive. The place is rather rustic. You order at the counter and they will call you when it's ready. No table service here. You are on your own to get a to go container and such. Usually that wouldn't be a problem, but when you are dining alone, it's kind of hard to go fetch anything. Do you leave your belongings? Do you leave your food? If you need more coffee, how are you going to carry it all? Even to just pick up your food. Do you leave your drink? Will you loose your table if none of your stuff is there? It can be a problem. However the food is delicious and the portions are generous with reasonable prices. I love that there is a section for my vegan friend... I always scan the menus for vegan options so I make informed suggestions if we want to hang out for brunch/lunch or dinner.

We had a choice between sitting inside or being seated at a picnic table on the covered deck. We were assigned a high-top table in the dining area past the bar, where a few guys were watching a soccer match. The brine-soaked fried chicken is Eagle's specialty, so we ordered it. I thought the chicken was good,. So per the menu for the three-piece fried chicken meal, you can only order either all white meat or all dark meat. Interestingly, the two people at our table that ordered white meat still got a drumstick with their meat. The last I checked, drumsticks were considered dark meat. For an appetizer, we ordered the hush puppies. They had a nice crunchy texture but were very spicy hot. We also ordered the spoonbread. This was my favorite dish of the day. It was served warm, had a great texture and a light maple flavor. With our meals, we could get two sides. We requested the collard greens, green beans, fries, grits and mac & cheese. Only the mac & cheese was good. The collard greens were way salty and the green beans had odd and unexpected seasonings. Our dining companion was put out, and understandably so, that the menu said the grits came with white cheddar cheese. But instead, though the grits maybe had cheese, they were also loaded with loads of diced jalapeno. They were so over the top spicy, none of us could eat the grits. The fries were strongly seasoned with oregano. WTF? Our entrees came with biscuits. The biscuits were tasty, but unfortunately, because they contained too much shortening, fell apart when buttering them. And that leads up to the service lapse. After we received our check, our server completely disappeared. We waited a half hour for her to re-appear, gave up and asked another server to cash us out. He disappeared and we waited some more. Finally the red-headed server re-appeared and breezily explained she had been out on the deck the whole time. No apology or anything.
