I've been here a few times and service is always great. The servers are always friendly, professional and attentive to make your visit a good one. Our most recent server was Juan. He did a wonderful job and I would recommend him as your server. The wait is never long. They have roasted peanuts to enjoy while you wait. Once seated they provide you with free rolls which are amazing! It's so soft, buttery and sweet! I can eat and have eaten several during every visit lol! The wait time for food wasn't long at all. What I've had so far is their prime rib, caesar salad, cactus blossom (fried onion), and a couple of their side dishes. The prime rib melts in your mouth and it has the right amount of fat on it. I like to order it medium cooked since it's a thick cut of meat so I don't want it too red and rare. I've enjoyed everything but the sides - green beans, seasoned rice and chili. These sides were all too salty and that's why I give this place 4 stars. We told our server and they were kind to switch out our sides but the new side we ordered was too salty as well. We didn't see anything else we wanted on the menu so we just didn't bother asking for something else. We appreciated the accommodation though. Id give 10 if I could. I came to this texas road house because i heard it wasnt as busy as the texas road house near my house, it was an extra 15 minutes but we decided why not? The total drive was 40 minutes, but Id definitely drive the 40 minutes for the amazing service and food that we received. Once we were brought to our table, we were greeted by Jenna/Jenny. She had such a great and positive attitude. We ordered the fried pickles, boneless chicken buffalo bites, and loaded potato skins. they were delicious!. Just started coming here a couple months ago. We sit at the bar. They are Amazing in making sure you get the best service. We always get the 12oz Filet ( Thur-Sun) get It Pittsburgh Style, Medium. Even if not done right the Managers make it right. The Managers even come back themselves to make sure your happy with your food. The Bartenders are always game on in service. Some of the Best. They know your names or they will if your coming back. They strive to make sure your experience is the best. They even break down and sang for ya sometimes. Line dancing in the restaurant. It's great food and some great entertainment with some great food. Thanks for the service. We really appreciate it. We been to the Salt Grass and the Taste of Texas. When we walked in the hostess was apparently angry at her supervisor for making her do something so she proceeded to rant about it for the first couple mins...now normally I wouldn't have a problem except for the fact we were just awkwardly standing there while 3 other hostess listened to her. Once we set down our waitress was super nice, however I asked for a house margarita and it was $12.99. My husbands burger was so undercooked it made him sick. I also ordered beef tips which the menu states they come sautéed with onions and mushrooms but we were charged $1.99 extra for that. I never really order much here, except the sirloin tips and he seasoned rice. This time I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin with seasoned rice and shrimp. The shrimp was fantastic. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. The seal however was over cooked. I asked for it medium and it was pretty well done and tough when I got it. My date ordered hers medium rare and it looked more medium well to me. The rice was good as usual and our service was amazing. I will definitely be back. Unless they stop making rolls read more

We love Roadhouse but this location has disappointed me on a number of occasions. Service is slow and staff are not nearly as friendly as most Roadhouse locations. The food was unfortunately disappointing as well. The side salad was about 1/2 the size of what we normally receive at the other houston area locations. Salmon was horribly overlooked. Vegetables were undercooked. Baked potato was tiny. And our orders have been incorrect twice. Two positive things: they served us more than enough rolls with cinnamon butter and this establishment is conveniently located in the same parking lot as Santiko Silverado movie theatre so it's a convenient date. In all honesty, we'll try somewhere else next time. read more

Took my family into Texas Roadhouse for an early dinner. The wait can be lengthy at this place, so if you can arrive between 5-6 for dinner, you will likely be seated immediately. When ordering drinks, their frozen margarita machine was down and they did not have Shiner Bock on tap, which seem like basic requirements for any place with Texas in the name... I settled for a draft Bud Light. For appetizers we got Rattlesnake Bites, which are like fried cheese and jalapeño balls that come with Ranch dressing for dipping. These were excellent. We also got the fried pickles with Ranch. These are always a hit with the kids. Roadhouse also brings out their fresh buttered rolls with cinnamon butter spread. Our server was friendly but not knowledgeable. I ordered an 8oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato and side of chili. She somehow input my potato as a Caesar salad. The menu is pretty basic and it wasn't busy yet, so I'm not sure how she messed it up... The sirloin is the way to go for meat selection. Their ribeyes are normally way too fatty while their NY strip is often dry. The sirloin is consistently good and tasty. I always enjoy Roadhouse even when the server lets you down because the value of the food is incredible. It cost similar to going to Applebee's or Chili's and the food is much better. read more

I'll be the first to admit it. I am a steak snob. However, it's not beneath or out of the ordinary for me to order a steak ANYWHERE it's on the menu. I like protein. It makes me feel better then carb-loading. Whenever my family wants a good steak, ribs, drinks, in a joint that's family friendly and won't break the bank, this is where we go. I've never had a problem here, or at any other TR I've visited. The food is always consistent. This is not a prime steakhouse, so don't expect it to be. However, it IS better than other fast-casual chains that don't have the word "STEAK" in their name. My advise, always take advantage of call ahead seating...and when ordering a beer, always ask for the "Duke." If you are allergic to peanuts, you may want to stay away. Last time ordering here. Tried to use online ordering - site kept erroring. Called and couldn't even place my order calmly because the girl kept trying to up sell everything. Sheesh - no I don't want sautéed mushrooms! Also out of prime rib at 6pm ... Then it took 55 mins to get my food - steaks cooked rare and medium. Then ... Order was wrong -- twice!! And the girl couldn't have moved slower if she tried. The receptionist told me she was new. No excuse - now my food is cold and my kids are irritated from waiting almost an hour in the car. I have been coming to Texas Road house for years. Its our family goto. I generally go to the friendswood location and I have nothing but great experiences. I choose to go to the Tomball location while going to discuss business opportunities. I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had. It was absolutely awful. Everything I asked for as far as beverages, they didn't have whole Friendswood would have. The server would not come back to my table for 20 to 30 minutes, I would go Thirsty, the restaurant was extremely hot and I was sweating. I would have to ask multiple waitresses to please get me a waitress who could attend me. Then the girl would show up way later. They put me at the bar when I asked for a booth I was needing to use my laptop to do a business presentation. The table was so small and the waitress didn't take my dishes. I picked up my own dishes, stacked them and took them to the bar. I took my own empty glasses to the bar after finishing my Heineken 0.0 I took my bottles to the bar to make some room. It was terrible. The absolute worst experience and completely embarrassing. I'm beyond disappointed in this Tomball establishment. I don't know how you guys can make this right but I'm your most unsatisfied customer. I could have went anywhere and I choose this awful place of business. Imagine having to repeatedly ask another server to be your server while they are passing by to get you something to drink in this hot establishment, and your terribly thirsty while trying to enjoy a bone in ribeye. Sadly, this locations lacks in the service department in comparison to the Willow brook location. I know that I broke my TRH rule of always calling ahead but I figured I could wing it. Wrong! The Bar: We slid over to the bar to wait for a table. It was of course packed so we got 2 dukes and a mixed drink. The bartender were attentive and kept our drinks full. My only gripe would be that the bar had too many bar stools stuffed in to that size space. Trying to get in an out of seat require motion from 3 or 4 other people because of how sardined we were. At least we were sardines in beer, not vinegar. The service: Okay this is where I get lost. So we were prepared for a 20 minute wait. After a few drinks, 20 minutes rolled into an hour. So we go back to the host stand after seeing multiple people sat in front of us that came in after. She then tells us it will be about 20 minutes... wait whaaaaatttt? The beer was the only thing keeping us patient at this point. About 20 minutes later our buzzer goes off... We walk up to the host stand and she walks us back to the bar and hands us menu... *SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH* Our server was cool and we get out of there as quickly as possible. First of all, the food was really delicious. The problem is the service and the whole operations system. This Saturday evening, we used the call ahead feature before we went, the hostess told us the wait would be around 20-30 minutes. So we got there and checked in at the front desk, the hostess told us the wait will be around 15-30 minutes. We have a movie we already paid for the tickets in around 1.5 hours, so that timeframe works a little tight but doable for us. So we waited and waited, but we're not called for another 45 minutes. I was kind of mad at that time bc if the hostess would have told us the time, we could have made other plans. So we sat down at the table, but we were here for more than 10 minutes but nobody ever came. There was a waiter serving other tables around us walked by us 4 times but didn't even look at us. He could have asked if we were helped, and got us to whoever was in charge to get our server, but nothing. So I went to the front desk tell the hostess we sat there for long time but no one ever came by, the hostess and other staff heard me and just looked at me but didn't give me any feedback on what I should do to get my table served. So I went back to my table, waited another 10 minutes before our server finally arrived. To be honest, our server was nice and got our food out as quick as he can. The problem of this restaurant is they need to enhance their employee training and improve the operations system. Servers need to be clearly assigned once guests arrived at the table. All servers need to be aware of the guests who are not helped, at least just an ask would make the guests feel they are cared. The last but not the least, the manager needs to walk around the restaurant more during business time. read more

Margarita's + steak = Love! Came here with my BFF to meet up and catch up of course and what I loved about this place is the smallest details that mean so much like asking if we wanted a booth or sling for my BFF's baby, if we needed help with the straws to carry baby and drink, or just making sure that we didn't need anything else which you would expect from restaurants but you'd be surprised nowadays how many servers are not on top of their game. Our server asked for our drinks and suggested the Sangria Margarita and I told him that I know it is great and it my fave so he asked if I ever had Sangria with Strawberries and I had not so he got that for me and it was delish! I am so glad he suggested it! I went ahead and ordered fillet medallions and my friend ordered beef tips. Everything was great I will admit I just felt like my steak was not all that great but despite that It has always been a hit maybe just this time but I didn't mind. At the end I enjoyed it all, the service, the food, and the drinks. I will be coming back to hopefully update this and make it a 5-star! read more

My two brothers took me here for my birthday. It was our our first time at this franchise steak house chain, and generally speaking, this was a favorable outing with a few slightly off notes to the experience which are not major by any means. Perhaps I will just get to the off notes first, and end on a positive note. Seeing a rusty bucket with peanuts in it on my table was not something that I particularly found endearing or conducive to starting off a meal, so I had the server take it away. I ordered the half slab of ribs with three sides (seasoned rice, fresh veggies, and sweet potato w/butter) and two rocks style Margaritas, my older brother had a sirloin medium well with green beans and mashed potatoes and a beer, my younger brother had a medium rare sirloin (I can't remember his sides for some reason) and a beer as well. Both my ribs and my younger brothers' steak were overcooked (his was more medium than medium rare), and my ribs were just kind of mushy with the sauce being very generic and probably containing HFCS. My older brothers' green beans were also overcooked. My seasoned rice was OK, but if you're going to call it "seasoned," perhaps the seasoning should stand out a bit. It didn't. Sweet potato was way overcooked; I am not a senior citizen, I have teeth and I don't need all my entire meal the consistency of baby food. At least of the three sides, they got the fresh veggies right. Broccoli was steamed and still had a bit of bite, and tasted fresh. The appetizer we ordered, the Cactus Blossom, a deep fried onion broken into petals with a tangy sauce, was served hot and was excellent (could have used more sauce, though; we ran out before the blossom was "deflowered"). The beers were cold and ample (22 oz.), and my Margarita, while flavorful, had too much ice and I felt a bit ripped off paying $8 for all the rocks and less drink. The service was outstanding; our server was constantly asking us what we needed, and brought everything to us quickly (he asked for feedback at the end of the meal, and I gave him a "9" and the food a "6.5"). The rolls were warm and soft, but we only got four which seemed a bit skimpy for three people; at least two per customer seems like a fair ratio because they are pretty tiny. This Roadhouse was quite crowded for a Monday night, so it is popular and evidently very successful. They have tailored their food for the masses, and if you may have a bit more food discernment (I am a cook myself), you may not be as thrilled and view the food as slightly above average. As you can read from the other reviews here, they have a winning formula so they are probably not going to change it on my account. read more

Waited an hour for take out... for rolls. Usually I don't mind waiting. I knew it was around dinner time so I ordered ahead, around 5:30pm. Lady on the phone said they would be ready by 6:15pm. I ordered 5 dozen rolls btw. That was fine as I would be driving across town to get them and would be there around 6:30pm. When I arrived, I told the lady at the front desk I was there to pick up my order. She talked into her little lapel mic and told someone my name and asked me to wait in front. I stood there for a good 20 minutes watching various people get seated and even get their take out when they walked in. I thought this was weird so I went to talk to a different lady that told me the same thing, but this time actually charged me for the rolls. Ok, so loss of communication somewhere. They are rolls, they shouldn't be there much longer. Wrong. Another 15 minutes. Various people getting their take out. Various waitresses looking at me weird because I'm just standing there. But, no one says anything to me. Finally, another lady comes out and says they are finally making my rolls and that it would take another 10 minutes. I'm frustrated but I just smile and nod. She comes out again 15 minutes later and says they are just buttering them. About 10 minutes later, they finally come out, and she tries to charge me again. Come on man! Luckily I didn't crumple up my receipt. No sorry for the wait, just here are your rolls, fuck off. I gladly did. I mean, most of them were nice and I know its busy which is why I ordered on the phone, but... rolls. ROLLS. I didn't order a 20oz steak. ROLLS. And not even a sorry for the wait. This may not be a normal occurrence but seeing other reviews makes it seem like maybe it is. But, the food and rolls are delicious so I can't knock ya'll all the way. I've been to this location so many times, the figure is probably nearing the triple digits. If you've been to any Texas Roadhouse, they are all about the same. There is nothing unique about any of them. They offer unlimited bread with a cinnamon butter, which is probably what they are known for. Roadhouse offers a good casual atmosphere to down a few beers, hangout with friends and eat a decent steak. They are always well staffed, and the service has generally been on the better side with only a few bad visits. Call ahead, as an hour wait isnt unheard of. Don't go here if you have a problem with loud atmospheres. They sing, they dance, and people ride saddles on their birthday. Its a casual family restaurant. The parking lot is huge, which is a major plus and worthy of a star alone IMO. read more

My husband wanted to go here for Father's Day this year. We showed up at 12:15pm and the parking lot looked packed. We had our 2 year old with us, so we weren't sure if we were going to stay. After walking in we realized Texas Roadhouse was prepared for the crowd. They had tents, fans, and their never-ending peanut barrels set-up outside to accommodate waiting guests. The inside waiting area had been converted to dining and the ENTIRE restaurant was deemed non-smoking. YAY! Thankfully we were sat immediately. Our waiter was extremely attentive and, even though the kitchen was slammed, our food was delivered timely. My husband had the filet medallions and I had an 11 oz sirloin. Both were actually cooked to our liking - medium rare. The food is always tasty here so no worries there. Although the joint was hopping, I noticed the manager's making their rounds to ensure everyone was ok. Always a plus on very busy "holidays". I came here on a Monday night to eat and watch the football game at the bar. I love the environment there, everyone is friendly. You are allowed to smoke in the bar area so if you can't stand the smoke, I would ask to be seated further into the back. They give u complementary peanuts that you can peal and throw the shells onto the floor. The bartender was really nice and helpful. The game was on but no volume so you have to read the captions. I ordered the Ribeye medium- rare, but sadly it came out almost well done. I didn't want to send it back because it took so long for our food to come out. My bf ordered the NY strip and it was also not cooked the way he ordered it. The bartender told us it was probably because they got a different chef. The sides were good though so I tried to just eat part of the steak. overall the experience was good, the food was mediocre. I would probably give this place another try and hope that they will cook it the way i asked. read more

The place was packed & we had to wait 40mins for a table. Once we were seated & ordered our food, the wait for our food to arrive didn't seem unreasonably long. Davin was our server & he had a smile that lit up his face! Our drinks were refilled without us even asking & food was hot! Our son had a hot dog & steak fries with a milk. My spouse & I split the ribeye (cooked medium, perfectly) & we each got a potatoes cooked the way we liked (they were equally hot/yummy). Their steaks are always perfectly seasoned and cooked as requested. Ribs are fall-off-the-bone-finger-lickin' good. The rolls and butter are always fantastic. My go-to side item is the baked sweet potato. Last time I got it fully loaded it was a bit heavy on the marshmallow topping. Only reason I can't bring myself to give Texas Roadhouse a five star rating is because it's almost a forgettable experience. Their food is good, but there is nothing that really stands out from any other place. If someone asks me to direct them to a great steakhouse in the area I recommend Saltgrass Steakhouse or Steamboat House Texas (if money is no object) because at least those two places offer a memorable dining experience. read more

Not a good experience this trip. The machine that makes the dough for the rolls was down and service was extremely slow. Ordered 6oz filet and when I took a bite of it, it tasted as if it had been cooked with paint thinner or nail polish. I had my wife try it, and she immediately spit it out. I sent the steak back and told the waitress to remove it from my check. Next thing I get is the Floor Manager (Michael) at my table trying to tell me how they cook their steaks and that their steaks were not ever near any chemicals and was very defensive - practically called me a LIAR! After arguing with this incompetent Floor Manager they did remove it from my check and needless to say - I will not go back to this location! Hope I don't get Mad Cow Disease from this experience! I will be in contact with Lewis Decamp (Managing Partner) to discuss this fiasco. read more
