My wife went on line at 3 o'clock and ordered 4 prime ribs and they said it would be done in about 35 minutes and to text here when she arrived. She arrived at 4 o'clock and they said the prime ribs wouldn't be done until 4:30. At 5 o'clock they then tell her they won't be done until 5:30. We have eaten here before and This place has horrible service and the food is just okay, thought we would give them a try one more time. I give you my word I will NEVER, order, eat, or recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I've been coming to the Texas Roadhouse twice a week, maybe at times more, for the last six weeks as I am here on business. Everytime, prior to tonight, has been a good experience. Unfortunately tonight was such a disappointment that I've decided that I won't be back as there are many other choices in the area. I arrived around 4:45pm and was greeted by the Host. I was then asked to step aside and wait. I was the only person in the waiting area. It wasn't crowded as it had been in my past visits, however, there were plenty of staff members. I waited for a few minutes and finally was seated. I was placed in a section with one other customer who was paying for his meal. I waited fifteen minutes and was never approached or greeted as I watched employees talking and laughing in a booth until a family was seated there. I don't know why I was ignored as it was obvious I was here to have a nice meal. Finally I got up and walked out. No one asked a single question and when I passed the reception desk I was told to "have a nice evening", as if I had been there for an hour or more. I was completely surprised and taken aback. Texas Roadhouse always serves us with great food and great staff. Most of the times it's a long wait to get seated here it does get crowded we were lucky to arrive right before the crowd arrived and were seated fairly quickly in the bar area which is a busy area to be seated at a lot of movement going on in the bar area so be careful you may get a drink spilled on you as they are whisking by with their tray of drinks or splashed after a drink was spilled or dropped I know because it happened to me. Lucky it was not to and but enough to be leaving with my clothes a little damp and smelling like a brewery Our food is as good arrived fairly quickly just as we ordered it I was in a good seat to watch the cooks work their magic and believe they are hustling to get the food cooked and served the meats look fresh and the biscuits buns are delicious. read more

We came to Texas Roadhouse on Sunday around 5:30. The place was really packed and we put our name on the wait list the hostess quoted us about 45 minutes to 1 hour wait which was no problem. We went to the mall to kill some times. After 30 minutes we got a text message to go to the restaurant to put our self on deck for the table. We checked what the hostess and God seated after 5 minutes. The host who seated us brought the bread right away and seated us at the table which was great because we have two kids with us and they dove right into eating the bread right away while we ordered. We got 6 oz filet mignon with salad and corn we also got 12 oz Ribeyes with broccoli and side salad and salmon Entre with mac and cheese and broccoli for the kids to share. The food came out fairly quick after 10 minutes and the steak were done just right. The seasoning were really spot on and we were done with our dinner in about 40 minutes which was great considering how busy they were. We came on a Thursday to avoid the weekend crowd and walked in about 6:30 and we were seated immediately which was a nice surprise. I had an email for a free birthday appetizer, and we needed to use it before it expired. Our server Jillian was very nice, but needs a little more training. We were seated and ordered and she didn't listen well so I had to repeat and change a few things. The table across from us was empty, and they seated the people and brought them rolls immediately with their menus. We never got our yummy rolls, so I had to ask and Jillian said they would be out in two minutes. No worries, but then we didn't get them so I asked another server. Finally they came and they are the best! We ordered my favorite cut of steak, the porterhouse. It has the T-bone and the filet mignon. It was done perfectly and seasoned so well! I think I have two more meals from the one steak though it was so big! For the birthday they bring out a saddle and several servers come to give a "yeeehah"! The bathroom needs cleaning, and the busboy needed training as every table he cleared he clanked the dishes so loud as he out them in his tub. Texas Roadhouse in Tracy is a chain and across their restaurants, the quality and consistency is there. Today, I had the prime rib and it was cooked properly, with a nicely browned edge and medium rare inside. Their sides are also consistent, with their greens served Al dente. We've eaten there many times, from the hosting staff, servers and bussers, they are polite and efficient. It's our go to for steaks. read more

After more than a decade we decided to go back and try the Early DInner offers of Texas Roadhouse in Tracy. Arrived at around 1:30pm and we had Sue as our server. She made our day, service was really great compared to other places where you need to call a server who is nowhere to be found. Sue was very attentive, offered more bread, readily filled up our soda and made sure our order was complete and continually checked on us. The Manager even dropped by to welcome us, that was really nice. Early dinner is now at $14.99 with several choices of entree and two sides. Soda NOT included . My chicken was just ok, i guess i will try another entree next time but my husband's steak was great. Came here with my sons two days in a row, one with each boy. I had the steak kebab, which is always juicy and flavorful. I also enjoy having their house salad. P smothered chicken was good as well. I like it when you have a choice so the steak cut you want cooked and that they give freshly baked bread. Have always loved their cinnamon butter. We came to this location on a long commute. There wasn't much of a wait at all, may 5 minutes. We were immediate greeted and our name was added on the list. We were sat down and our waiter was so friendly. He knew the menu very well, he informed us we made it to early dinning which was an awesome price! He did inform us we only had about 5-6 minutes until that cut off point. We made it in time to order which cut our bill In half for such yummy food. Ohh man where to begin. We came to this location on Sunday 8/22/21 and to say they were packed is an understatement. We called in an hour before for a party of 9. 7 adults 2 kids in high chairs. When we got there we had to wait an additional hour to be seated. Once we were on our way to be seated our party was informed that we would be seated in two different booths instead of in one table. Do you really think I want to spend my whole meal looking at half of my families back, yeah no. But we went with it since it was already late and since Texas roadhouse did not have the courtesy to inform us of what was going to happen before we sat down. I would have left instead of eating with half of my family not present at the table. Our waiter was the most unenthusiastic server I have ever had, she clearly was not having the best time of her life and you can tell by the service that she provided us that day. We had to constantly look for her to get refills we only got bread once even tho we asked for more and never received it. When it came time to pay for the bill she was nowhere to be found. The food was OK nothing too fancy it's Texas roadhouse it's just the lack of service and lack of communication from Texas roadhouse on how our party was going to be split and a waiter who clearly did not want to be there really put a damper on the whole event for my mothers birthday for the evening. I've visited multiple Texas roadhouse locations and we have yet to ever have an experience like this one so clearly next time we will be taking our business to the Modesto location because Tracy can't get their shit together. read more

I have been coming here for years and usually, besides the wait and the sometimes extra and unnecessary noise, it is a pretty good time. The food is good and the service has always been fine. Unfortunately, the last few times I have been here, it feels like the prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. The worst thing by far is the parking situation. Every time I am here, the parking lot is packed. People double park and stop their cars blocking other people in. I also saw people parking at Chipotle and El Pollo loco and walking over. I guess they like the food more than me because although this location is ok, I don't know if it's worth dealing with the parking situation, the extremely long wait and the loud crowds of people. I guess considering they always seem to be packed they won't miss me but just be aware of long wait times and the parking situation if you plan on coming here. read more

I used to love going to Texas Roadhouse but lately my previous experiences have been horrible. The staff have expressed malicious treatment towards customers by ignoring you or treating individuals Indifferent. I once invited a friend to try the place and he didn't eat beef or pork and we clearly stated that when ordering his food and ordered the salmon. Somehow a chunk of beef was deep in the tartar sauce they provided with the meal. Watching my friend discover this was terrible and embarrassing, I was shocked and saddened that they would even do such a thing. We celebrated my mothers birthday tonight. We were a large party of 18 so they had to split us up in three tables. One for the littles, one for the adults,and one where the teens sat. Despite the fact that our waiter never took our order from the adult table, the manager Patrick Fink stepped in and made sure we were taken care of and our orders were out right away. Honestly, he was one of the most attentive managers I've ever seen here and he's the reason why I'm giving 5 stars. I understand we were a large group and had 3 waiters. The teen table was waited by Yulma. To our surprise they decided to cover their own tabs as a way of helping out the parents with the expense. The adults paid the tip as our kids were sitting at different tables and the tabs were printed by the table. Yulma made it point to let the adult table know that the teens covered their own tabs but had not tipped. We of course felt bad and left her an additional tip only to find out afterwards that she had told our kids "I noticed none of you tipped, was there something about the service you didn't like?" Even after the explained that her service was good but they weren't able to leave her a tip. Mind you, we were already tipping her for the service given to all three tables. She then proceeded to tell them " I don't know if you know, but in this type of establishment you're supposed to tip." Then she went in to tell them that because they didn't tip her $5-6 were coming out her pocket to cover that table. I'm assuming the waiters split tips. I made sure to walk back in after we left her an additional tip to complain to the floor manager about the way she came at our teens. I should've requested the additional tip back but clearly she needed it. Sounds like she needs additional training on her customer service. read more

Someone needed to mention this! Most people go to Texas Roadhouse for the Steak offerings, but, they have really good fish dishes as an alternative. I think the Salmon and Catfish are delicious. Better than a few Seafood restaurants. Try it sometime, you won't be disappointed! read more

I've been to this place quite a few times but I have never written a review. Today, I remembered to take pictures and write a short review. Texas Roadhouse is a great place if you're craving BBQ. I ordered the combination plate, Chicken Critters (Strips) and half rack of ribs with rice. The chicken is lightly battered, tender and season very well. The meat on the ribs is so tender it's falling off the bones. The rice is on the salty side, but I still enjoyed it. One of my favorite things about this place is their fresh baked bread with honey butter. I literally ate five pieces so I couldn't even finish my meal (had the rest of it at home). Our server was Liz who was training another young lady, so she brought her A Game! She was attentive to her customers and always checked in making sure we were enjoying our food. I've been to other BBQ places that are franchised and by far, Texas Roadhouse is the best in the area. The prices are reasonable, there are plenty of seating/parking and our experience with the servers have been way above average. We recommend this place!!! TIP: We've come for dinner and the wait can be a little long, so make sure you have time to wait. Fortunately, we've always come early so the longest we've ever waited was 30 minutes and the shortest was less than five. read more

We finally had the opportunity to visit after years and years of talking about trying Texas Roadhouse. We've always heard about how good their buttered rolls were, but we had no idea they were THIS GOOD!! The sweet honey butter that comes with it was *chef's kiss*. Although the rolls are unlimited, make sure you save room for the main course. We were about 3 rounds in when we realized we haven't gotten our food yet. We each got our own plate which came with a meat cut and 2 sides and then also shared a blooming onion. The blooming onion was cooked perfectly and paired well with the ranch and spicy mayo. I still think about it sometimes. I got their 8 oz Sirloin, BBQ ribs, with a loaded potato and house salad. We realized we have been eating steak wrong our entire lives because this meat was so tender and just melted in our mouths. The ribs were actually fall off the bone and each bite was packed with so much flavor. I thought their house salad physically didn't look as appealing, but I was glad I got it as it provided balance for the whole meal. The salad ingredients were also fresh! The loaded potato was pipping hot and was a better alternative for me as I tend to order basic fries with my meals. Definitely recommend getting but know that it may be quite filling! I've read reviews about this location being extremely busy with long waits and was expecting to wait the hour before being seated. We showed up to a packed restaurant on a weekday and were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait. We literally got seated within 2 minutes and the whole night the waitresses were so on top of our orders and made sure our bread basket and waters were never empty. Keep up the hard work ladies! Parking was not an issues as they have plenty of parking spots. My friends and I are already planning our next trip to Texas Roadhouse! read more

Make sure to have a light jacket on since they don't turn on the heat indoors. We enjoyed the boneless wings with bbq sauce. They were not dry and the sauce was not hot. The Smokehouse Burger was delicious! I loved all the grilled mushrooms and onions on it. It included steak fries which were good also. I've been coming to this location since they opened up around 15 years ago. The last couple years it has steadily gotten worse and worse. We went tonight as a family of 4. My wife ordered the 12oz Ribeye. See the attached photo of how thin they are slicing ribeyes now.... I ordered a beer with our drink order, the waitress forgot about it and left it at the bar for almost 15 minutes. When I asked about it again, she went and brought it to me, a warm beer with a soaking glass that already come to room temp. I ordered ribs, as did my 8 year old daughter. When the food (finally) arrived the ribs were uncut and too hot to handle. My 8 year old struggled trying to cut the individual ribs apart so she could eat them, but burned her hands trying. When you order ribs at a restaurant the kitchen should be responsible for slicing them out, not the kid with a butter knife and no plate to even attempt it safely (them came in a plastic basket). Our non-alcoholic drinks sat empty for long periods of time, very little attention was paid to our table. Also, they now have advertising billboards in the restaurant over most tables. Imagine the greed involved in charging $30 for a thin sliced steak while shoving advertisements in your face. Sad to say, we won't be returning. They are open for business everyone!!! If you know me, you know parking lots are a big deal to me when it come to restaurants. Well Texas Roadhouse has a private parking lot and there's plenty places to park! Yay! Not my first time at this restaurant but first time at this location! So I do know what I'm getting ...sort of :). So they have indoor and outdoor dining which is good and they're practicing social distancing. Staff wearing mask and gloves. Although I did not notice hand sanitizer, I could be wrong though, don't be mad. So if you like outside be prepared it's a little noisy cause the freeway is right there. Tables can be further apart. Finally the food excellent!!! I could not wait to get my hand on their famous rolls and that sweet butter. I'm getting hungry talking about it :). The roll was hot, it was soft and smelled so good, I think our waitress brought out the bread like 3x (OMG)! So, I was craving steak so I ordered a Ribeye topped with sautéed mushrooms and it was yummy! Very tasty, cooked well, not chewy soooo so good! I like a steak with little fat and this was it! We also ordered grilled shrimp, sliders, and grilled chicken. Oh don't let me forget that onion cactus blossom! When you go you have to order that!!! It's a must! Saturday night me and the fam decided we wanted Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We got there at 5pm and put our name down and were quoted 1hr to 1hr 10mins for a party of 5 and it actually turned out to be 2 whole hours before we got seated. Now I should be mad as can be but I am not because the food literally never disappoints. The only thing I will do different next time is come by 4pm the latest.
