We love Tony!!! My bf and I just bought a house and needed some HVAC diagnostics/inspection. He was referred to us by my in-law who had previously worked with Tony. She said she loved that he was honest and after meeting him, 100% agree with her! He came by early and took a look at the ducts, furnace, and outdoor AC unit. He even helped install our Nest thermostat at no charge, with no additional wires needed, even though I had initial concerns of a missing common wire. The furnace doors were installed wrong from the previous homeowner, just a minor oversight that he pointed out to us. He took a look at our AC unit and something was broken/leaking on a compressor(?) of the AC unit. He replaced the part on the spot! Nothing else required major maintenance or repairs in the house. He REALLY saved us some money, thinking we had to repair/replace all sorts of things from other company's estimates. There was never any pressure from Tony to invest in new ducts or equipment. We know all the equipment that came with our house is old, but it all works fine as is. As he said, "if ain't broken, don't mess with it!" We called TFF HVAC on Dec 25th, 2014 after my elderly mothers heater stopped working. She had one other company named, The Furnace Co in Campbell (also known as Day and Night Furnace) come out first and told her her motherboard would need to be replaced and it would cost $2800, or she could just replace her entire heater, which is what they recommended, for $5000. Thank goodness my Mom called my sisters and I because we told her no way, we needed another opinion. Little did we know what a scam this first company was. My sister highly recommended TFF HVAC as they have come to her home before and they were very good. So, she called them and we were thrilled they could send out a technician right away. Within a short time, Jason showed up. OMG! What a God send. He was so nice, patient, answered our questions and was very straight forward. He located wires that the other scam company had disconnected and then found the real problem, which was the ignitor that needed to be replaced (a fairly common problem). $125.00 later and my Mom had heat. He tested for carbon monoxide leaks, checked the filter and also checked the inside of the house to make sure the heat was flowing properly. I had some duct work that was leaking rain water into the house. After paying a roofer and getting no relief, I called a well known HVAC contractor. They wanted to put two guys up on the roof for a minimum of one day with no firm quote on what it would cost. Earlier in the spring I had several top rated HVAC companies come out to give my parents an estimate. I felt at ease with Tony and so did my parents. He was knowledgeable and didn't mind taking the time with all of our questions. His pricing was competitive with the others so we decided to go with him. We did a full HVAC install in mid July and I am happy to report several months later that everything works great. Our electric bill has decreased due to the high efficiency equipment we installed. Tony really stands behind his work, and take pride in every project. He wanted the the job to be perfect so he recommended and gave us a huge discount on a better model of the furnace. Our home is an older style and we had to install the furnace inside the house in one of the closet(turned into furnace room), and Tony didn't want the noise of the base model furnace to disturb us so he decided to take a hit and upgrade it. Tears. 2. Angel and Tony did extra work surrounding where the furnace and vents, like patching up walls that were short to save materials, and ordering a custom made cabin door for the new furnace room. 3. Coordinated with our other contractors who were fixing other things in the house, and still got the project finished ahead of their promised time. I can't say enough good things about them. Tony and his crew installed a new air conditioning unit in our house in 2013 (five years back). The installation was perfect and the unit performed flawlessly for several years. This year (2018), we encountered an issue where the outside A/C fan wouldn't start on its own. I researched and found that this is a common issue where the start capacitor needs to be replaced. I left a message with Tony and then called around at several repair shops trying to get someone to fix the problem. Most of them appeared to take advantage of the situation (one mentioned that they would need to replace the entire fan, others quoted exorbitant prices for simply replacing a capacitor - all Yelp 5-star folks by the way). Several would not give any price estimate for the repair. Finally Tony called back - he would have his technician at my house the very next day and take care of the problem. And here's the kicker - even though it had been five years since the installation, he offered to fix the issue at no cost to me! He followed through and the A/C was fixed and running the very next day. I was so delighted by the response that I had to hand over a check to the technician. Shut up and take my money :-) Tony stood firmly behind his work even after all these years. Tony and his staff are prompt, clean, well-mannered and professional. They performed a thorough demolition and replacement of my HVAC system, including all new ductwork in the same day. His quote was in the "ballpark" with the other two quotes, but I soon realized after watching his crew at work, that you "get what you pay for". I would have paid more if I knew what I know now, and everything I learned about HVAC, I learned from Tony. Everything that Tony and his Crew put in at the end of 2013 has worked perfectly until last week when the AC motor stopped working on a 108 degree day around 3am. I called Tony at 7:30am that morning, he was busy reviewing the 43 voicemails he received overnight, so I was not able to connect with him until 8:45am. He said he was swamped but would make sure someone showed up by the afternoon. He arrived around 2pm and diagnosed the problem. The unit was still under warranty but he had to find the fan motor, he thought it might take a day or two. Tony text around 5:20pm the same day saying that he found the part and that he would come back in the late evening to install it. Tony showed up at 9:15pm, went to work and had the entire system back up and running in under an hour. Family was extremely happy to say the least (it was 87 degrees in my house at this point). Tony's attention to detail, follow through, and overall excellent customer service has gone from excellent to even better in the past 3.5 years. The previous owner of my condo did not service the gas furnace in probably five years, so having someone check everything out was a high priority for me. I left a message for Tony and he called back within a half hour, gave me an accurate quote, and set up an appointment. He accomodated my schedule and showed up at 8am on a Sunday. He showed up on time and got to work immediately. After a five minute inspection, he said everything was in good working condition, but that the filters needed to be changed. He took the time to walk me through each step so that I could do minor maintenance myself. He also gave me some tips on lowering my bill for hot water as well as a quote on how much it would cost to add cooling. On the phone, Tony mentioned that it was a 1 hour minimum for a service call (at $90.00/hour). Even though he actually spent about 1 hour speaking with me about heating and cooling maintenance, he only charged me $45.00, which included the filter he replaced (which usually retails for about $10.00 at Home Depot). They don't try to gouge the customers by nickle and diming all the materials and their labor rates are very reasonable. We had just bought our house & the 1st small heat wave our upstairs AC unit went out. I found Tony & decided to give him a shot because he's local & had great reviews. TFF HVAC came to my house about a month ago to fix a failed igniter on my heater. The igniter failed again last night at 8 pm. So, I called them at 8pm and left a message hoping that they would call me the next morning.....about 30 minutes later I got a call from Tony. He helped me over the phone to put in a quick fix for the time being and scheduled his technician to come in the next day. The technician came today and fixed the problem at no charge. TFF is great! The first time I called them was last year because our AC was not cooling. Tony replied promptly and scheduled the service over the phone. Jason came in and put in some freon and sealant. The AC worked fine the rest of summer. This year, when we tried to use the AC, it wasn't cooling again so I called Tony and scheduled another service. Jason came in again and found that there was a hole in the unit. He apologized for missing it last year. He fixed the hole and refilled the freon. Tony, Heidi and the team are the best. They completed the project of installing a new furnace, new duck plus adding an A/C in the week of July 4th in just three days. The job has a lot involved because the furnace is relocated to attic from a closet and the new A/C requires a new line to connect to the electric panel. When I called Tony about a problem with our AC unit he diagnosed the problem over the phone and gave us a quote. He said he was very busy and would try and fit us in his schedule over the following week.
