All I can say is to check your receipts. Dined here last in 2023 with 3 other people in my party. Not only did they include a built in service charge, but also charged a gratuity. Some ridiculous amount which came out to be 36% (18% service charge and an additional 18% gratuity) of the total meal; AND based off the costs AFTER tax was included. I spoke to the manager about this, whom did resort to removing the service charge, but come on now. As a diner here, thjs is something you will have to be on the lookout for. The mere fact that they calculate it with tax included, tells me that this place should be audited. read more

Having gone there 14 years ago and had a less than stellar experience, I tried it again and wow was I blown away! The food and service is amazing! I now come here twice a week. Love the delightful noodles, salmon tamarind, fish delight, drunken noodles, fish cake and BBQ chicken. Love how they put big shrimp on their lunch fried rice. Pull up, walked in before we could even sit down saw a roach on the booth seat should have ran then but sat down and I kept looking around then I saw it again and tried to smash it with the menu. Didn't know if I got it or not cause it went into the crease of The seat. I would first like to say that the service was very good at this restaurant. I have been to Thai barbecue in California, and was hoping it would be the same. The food was OK, not like I remembered it in California. We all pretty much ordered the same S2 Which is pork ribs and shrimp fried rice combo. They changed the dipping sauce and none of us cared for it. You do get one free refill with your Thai tea or Thai iced coffee so that's nice. We also ordered pork pad Thai, which was mediocre also. They did sing me happy birthday and gave us a free coconut rice, dessert. The servers were very nice and very attentive. Ordered Chix bbq and it tasted like it was from the day before-hard and dry, smothered with sauce to look appealing. The shrimp fried rice that go with it tasted like it was about to get spoiled. The decor and seating is a little dated, and the bathrooms were kind of old and dingy, but the food was decent! Portions are big and the waitresses were kind. Be wary when ordering sodas tho. I order half trays and still half of the half try that I order this is not worth it too many good restaurants in Vegas for them to cheat the regular customers. The spice factor was there but did not overwhelm subtle flavors of the dish. I would have preferred more chicken, perhaps opt for double meat next time(?) but that didn't stop me from cleaning the plate. They're okay. If you came from Los Angeles and you moved here to Las Vegas, like we did, do not expect this place to be exactly the same. The portions are smaller but just as tasty and delicious. However, the determining factor in the BBQ category was the signature Orig Thai BBQ dipping sauce. I even buy a bottle of those when I was in LA. That was missing, and their L-1 was only a quarter instead of a half chicken. I did not check the S-1. I already got disappointed with the portion. The pad thai was also tasty and good but the portion was small. We ordered ala cart and I was hoping that with the price the portion would be the same as during dinner. It was only good for 1-2 people. The side soup they gave was delicious. read more
