I am not one to branch out food wise, for I am very picky, but this place made me feel right at home and were extremely kind to me, attempting to accommodate my tastes in food. While it is a tad small, the waiters and waitresses were extremely kind and funny, smiling every time I looked at them and even when I didnt. Definitely recommend it. What a Discovery. Thai Chili was great. We had the Yellow Curry Chicken it was the best, you even have a choice of several types of Curry. The Chicke Pad Thai was excellent. It was perfect as served, then after eating 1/ 2 of the large serving, we added some Thai spice for some added kick. Turn on your friends...if they like .Chinese they will love Thai....many choices from mild to medium to spicy. I look forward to trying a new dish every visit. Went here for a late lunch and we were treated like crap. Sat at the bar and was given a dirty look by the woman behind the bar, I asked if we should sit there she told me no so we went to a table where we waited 10-15 minutes and no one came over to even get us a drink. Finally we got up and told the lady we were leaving and with a completely empty restaurant she says "ok"!? I turned around and told her the service is terrible and I can see why the place is empty! If they treat all there customers that way why would anyone ever go. I will never go back or recommend that anyone goes there. read more

Thai Chili never fails to please! We eat at Thai Chili every couple of months. This is my family's favorite Thai restaurant, as we have been to most Thai restaurants on the North Shore - worth the drive to Salem NH. Our daughters' favorite pad thai is served here, the homemade Thai chili on each table blows steam out your ears, and they use prawns not wimpy shrimp in their entrees. We always request brown rice in our pineapple fried rice, as they have four or five different varieties of their own hand-selected brown rice in their mix. My wife and I had the ginger salmon special and had prawns added- it was faaaantasastic! The aroma when you walk in is always comforting, service is always great. read more

My friends and I went to Thai Chili on New Year's Eve and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the service and happy atmosphere created by the staff. Our server was patient and thorough in dealing with some of the dietary restrictions at our table, not even hesitating to go and check with the kitchen on the safety of one dish for a shellfish allergy and confirming vegan options. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The tom yum soup was one of the best I have ever had, very spicy and flavorful! My companions ordered drunken noodle and pad Thai and reported similar flavorfulness and quality. We even got a yummy free dessert and delicious little star lollipops to celebrate the New Year! Honestly though, the best part of our dining experience was the quick and sincere Happy New Year that followed us out the door from the whole staff. If what matters most to you is not fancy decor, but great food and wonderful people then this is a perfect stop. We will DEFINITELY be back. read more

We eat at a lot of Thai restaurants in our travel. We bought two pad thai to go at this restaurant and it was AWFUL! We have never seen pad thai so watery, it was drenched in soup like. I brought it back into the restaurant and the woman said it was normal. They put it back into the wok and added more seasonings and stir-fried until it was dry. Went for lunch a few times recently, both very good. Last time I had the Chili sauce, which is duck and veggies, spicy sauce. Today I had tom yum soup (shrimp) and drunken noodles with chicken. i have had take out twice since they moved. two traditional items: Pad Thai and Yum Naa, both times it was inedible. what beef there was in the Salad that wasn't just gristle was overcooked to the point of unchewable. Very good, freshly made curries and pad thai, you can order anything and be assured of a great, reasonably priced meal. The owners are warm and friendly people who make you feel like you're in their home for a meal. The Thai tea is delicious either hot or cold and you can buy a big bag to take home (the stuff packs a punch). I'm not a big appetizer guy, usually know (as do the owners) what I'm going to get, generally I go for the green curry. Sublime stuff. The place is a definite keeper. Not everyone has the luxury of living near Boston, or being able to drive through the impossible traffic, confusing roads and hindering construction that this city provides in order to pick up a quick pad thai for lunch. I really like this little Thai place in Salem, and I have tried many other Thai restaurants in and around the area. I love the spring rolls and the soup served at lunch, as well as their massaman curry dish with chicken, shrimp or scallops. We ordered lunch meal and were given the dinner portion . We were asked to pay the amount even after we tried to explain they made a mistake. Instead of apologizing the waitress was very rude and had a bad attitude .I left very frustrated and she ran after my husband to give him some money back. I would not go back there again. Went 3 times, each time it was worse. No sure how old the policy is, but the nice waitress mentioned with each order "rice is not included" the asked if you want white or brown. I had the rice plate with duck, she told me as the others, "rice is not included" I asked, "Isn't this a rice plate? Doesn't a rice plate come with rice?" Well, it doesn't there. The portions were very small, exotic drinks just strong rum. The bottom line is the owner is trying to take ALL your money and give you cheap food. The duck plate had about 7 thin slices of duck, about the size of a silver dollar. The rest was just half cooked peppers. Cost? The dish, is $7.00 more than it is at dinner time- X4= $28.00 extra on my bill for the four of us. My plate about $22.00 for a tiny serving, one duck would make at least 30 plates. Bill total over $100.00 for the four of us- My advice? Get take out at China Sails in Lawrence instead- this place stinks. read more

I always usually go here to eat with one of my best friends and the food is Ok but the services is terrible they are not friendly people and give off a bad vibe when you sit down I will most likely never go back there again I used to love it and after todays experience I wont. They messed up are order 3 times and then I asked for hot sauce and when he handed it to me I put it in the soup and the cap wasn't on and it filled in my soup and said is that to much hot sauce? Recent multiple trips in 2015 have been disappointing, real hit or miss. Flavors all off, food was not fresh and in a thai restaurant this is very concerning. They don't seem to care as the once did??? Not sure why? Prices are up as compared with value. AS I read many of the other recent reviews such as: Cindy M.
