Good Thai food. Stopped in for dinner. Red curry and yellow curry pretty much similar. Medium in spiciness. Decent flavors. 3 stars. Average taste. Chicken and shrimp were ok. However 3 piece of potatoes only in the chicken and shrimp yellow curry. I really wanted to only order one curry but asked to do a combo of shrimp and chicken, which in most places is just an extra partial charge. But we ended up with a larger bowl of the yellow curry and got charged for 2 yellow curry. See the pics for the yellow and red curry. So just clarify with them if you like combining proteins. Pad Thai: with tofu. One of the better tasting pad Thai sauces I've had. Give this one a 4 stars. Pineapple fried rice: 3.5 stars. Decent flavors. Excellent Thai food, we really enjoyed it! The staff was extremely friendly, service was great, and food was awesome! Fresh rolls with tofu were so fresh and tender. The wraps were so soft and sticky and the tofu, bean sprouts, lettuce, mint leaves, etc all really brought it together. Also included two dipping sauces (a peanut and a sweet/sour). We were very impressed with the spicy noodle dish as well. Got it with chicken, and it was just so delicious and complex. Notes of basil, chili, grilled onion, jalapeño, and all kinds of other tasty stuff in there! The flat noodles were perfect to hold all that rich flavor. We were also served some other assorted sauces including a green one which is made in house! Can't wait to come back again next time we're in Paso Robles. read more

After reading other reviews, I am reluctant to add my two cents but I feel obligated to let others know my experience. We used to come here often and food was always amazing, great portions, tasty and overall delish... but after the last few times this Thai restaurant has left us with the question.... Did they sell or change ownership. Portions are very small for the price and very little meat in the dishes, so much bell peppers and vegetables. The Mongolian beef was spicy and what little meat was in the dish, had so much gristle it was unedible. The peanut chicken had more nuts than chicken. Very disappointing and I asked the waitress if they sold... when she said no, I was shocked because now it's become apparent that the owners really don't care about their customers and they could care less if the consumer will pay the price over quantity and quality. The staff is really nice and attentive, the atmosphere is on the plain side with a buddha shrine right in the middle of the restaurant. For Paso Robles and the fact it's a visitors heaven, this place really needs to change or they will be closing doors as there is so many other choices of great food in the surrounding area. read more

I phoned in a take out order and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Ordered the chicken fried rice and bell pepper beef. When it was time to pick up my order, parking was really hard to find on a Tuesday night. The restaurant itself was super busy and there were no seats left. My order was not ready and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. They were super apologetic about the wait time, there were other customers waiting as well. I went here on a Saturday night and was greeted very politely. This little restaurant is super cute inside great for small families or a date. I bought the chicken pad Thai which I loved, I really enjoyed being able to pick a spice level 1-5 on it. They also brought out a tray of different spices and sauces I could add to it. But if you come during busy times, you might not be as lucky to snag a parking spot. Arriving in Paso Robles on a Friday night, from driving earlier from San Francisco, my husband and I were hungry (my husband was actually becoming rather hangry actually) and so we decided to make an order for pick up since our usual place (Hana Teriyaki) we like to get food in town was closed. We ended up ordering (via phone order): Pumpkin Curry with Pork, $12.95 prior to tax- This was a pretty generous portion and definitely great for 2-3 people. The curry was good but was spicy so I didn't each much of it (I'm not much of a spicy eater). My husband enjoyed it. Praram Chicken, $11.95 prior to tax- I liked this dish, as the sauce tasted like peanuts. The sauce was a little spicy but I was able to handle it just fine. There was plenty of thinly sliced chicken in my dish. This dish can easily feed 2-3 people as well. 2 orders of brown rice- Unfortunately rice does not come with these meals, which surprises me since rice usually does at other Asian restaurants. ------------------------------ (Total= $31.40, after tax) Our order was ready for pick up as soon as my husband went inside (I sat in the car and waited. It didn't make sense for both of us to go in). I appreciate that we were given plastic utensils and a napkin each with our to go order. Wished they had more napkins and a complete set though (we were given 2 spoons and 2 napkins only). The food was good but pricey, as that seems to be the standard for Thai food. I love curry because of its rich flavor - so it hit the spot as I ate the large bowl of pineapple curry with roasted duck. I'm giving it 3 stars because the curry had hardly any duck meat and of it, most of it was duck skin. Another good thai place besides Basil Thai! Both restaurants are located in downtown area and right were the park is. Plenty of street parking. We ordered to-go food since they only had indoor dining. The female staff were nice and told us we can sit down and asked if we wanted water as we waited for our food. Food took longer than Basil Thai. About 20-25 mins. They gave us paper plates and soup container. We took our to-go food to the park to enjoy. We ordered: shrimp tom yum soup, red duck curry (this had a spicy kick), brown rice, and beef pad thai. Everything was good. This place is a little hidden gem! The ladies that run are so nice and make you feel so welcome. We had 13 and she was so nice and made accommodations for us all. The food was amazing. We got fresh spring rolls, pad Thai medium spice and pineapple fried rice with medium spice. I enjoyed being able to pick the spice level for each of the meals. They were extremely busy, but walking in we could very clearly see they were busy, so gave them grace as it did take a little while to receive our food. However, worth the wait. I wish I could give them ten stars!!! I've ordered from them before, but just pick up. Today I went in and was absolutely shocked by their amazing customer service, and hospitality! I honestly don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that was so welcoming, so polite, so on it in every single way. Never had to ask for a refill, she brought out a little bowl with a little spoon for the grand beebs, who also made a mess, & though I was trying to clean, she said, "don't even worry about it" She even tried to help me load up the diaper backpack, & help me put it on. I got the lunch special, and was shocked It was only 14.99! I chose yellow curry, and it came with rice, a small salad, a bowl of soup, and a couple of fried wantons with dipping sauce. wow. wowowow. the best. the BEST Thai food I have ever had. coming from out of town and I'm an avid eater of Thai. I cannot put into words how colorful and flavorful the food was. I got a pad Thai with eggplant. I've genuinely never been blown away by pad Thai before. everything is so thoughtful. the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. cleared my sinuses without suffering and needed a drink. BUT, I did still get a drink. the Thai tea with coconut milk was also the best I've had. just absolutely perfect. I never leave reviews like this but I had to say something. I would come back to this town just to eat here again. everyone working was so pleasant and friendly and you can tell they take real pride in what they are making. true artists. And all the table chairs were at a good distance from each other. We ordered pad thai and tofu satay. Pad thai was good and had a good amount of veggies with tofu. Tofu satay as an appetiser was good and it was served with peanut chutney. Food overall was good and the service was quick. Staff is attentive! Whenever I am in the area, this is my goto spot for my meal. One of the the best Thai food I have ever had. I really enjoy their chicken Pan See Ew but today I was in the mood for noodles, so I tried their "Pho". It did not disappoint, tho I'm sure it was closer to a Thai Boat than Pho but I would still recommend this this dish. The flavor of the broth was strong but not oily/fatty.
