Crying Tiger Spicy Garlic Edamame

The food is so delicious here. I stop in like 2 times a month. The owner is so hospitable and it's very comfortable here. Great place to come in and escape.

I need to eat on the go pretty often, and Thai Fix was perfect- very quick. The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. They had a pretty neat lunch buffet set up, but I was craving Sweet and Sour Chicken. This place is very cute as well as a great local spot, and the food was really delicious! I need to come back to try out the lunch buffet. I usually pass by here, so it's great that they're so close too.

The service is great the food is absolutely delicious, ambiance soft music playing. I had Thai fix Kaow Soi.. short ribs with curry noodles and soft boiled egg. Curry is thick. I love this place I took another meal to go!

This restaurant is in a small to medium sized strip mall. The lot is usually medium to very full, but parking has not been a problem. The restaurant is not that big, but does have adequate seating and is nicely decorated. One or two large groups can increase the volume here. Our server was a lady who was nice and efficient. We were satisfied with her service. The menu is medium to large size with a significant, but not overwhelming number of choices. There are lunch and drink specials posted on signage and on the menu. These are generally good only on weekdays. We got the spicy basil fried rice and traditional pad Thai noodle, both with chicken. They ask you how spicy you want it. We get it very mild. We liked both dishes, but the basil fried rice was the best of the two. The pad Thai had a unique flavor that was close to but different from other places. I didn't care for the flavor, but my wife liked it. However, it was close enough to other places that I could still eat it. Overall, we had a good experience here and would try them again. If you can go for a weekday lunch to get the special it would be good. Prices are high like everywhere due to inflation. If you like Thai food, then give these guys a try. Just be prepared that they may have their own unique flavor for your favorite dish.

Cleared it!

I ordered my food through UberEats, and so my review will reflect that fact. I ordered their promotional buy one, get one free for the Pad Thai; it was made quickly and the order came swiftly. I had no issues whatsoever with the ordering or the delivery process. I will say, however, one thing I did not appreciate during my ordering process was the pricing model. I understand that pricing is always a game of push and pull between customers and restuarants, and I willing to support restaurants, especially those locally owned and operated. What I cannot agree with, however, is when the price is listed as one, only to be increased moments later. It feels very much like a bait and switch. When I ordered my pad thai, I see it listed for x dollars. When I select it, I am now brought to a separate screen where I must now select a "mandatory" selection of an addition whether its vegetables, tofu, or animal protein, all of which increased the pricing of the pad thai. Now I know its a small increase, and I understand that, but I would much rather see the price upfront and not be surprised when the base price of the dish increases no matter what choice you pick. That feels predatory to me. *end rant* Now what you probably came here for: The food review. While I did enjoy their pad thai and think that their portions are excellent, not even mentioning that you get two portions of that large size for the price of one (plus the additional fees mention earlier), I feel the pad thai itself is pad thai. It does not strike me as amazing, but it also does not strike me as bad. I feel it reaches a very comfortable medium in terms of flavor profile. The tamarind sauce one expects is notable throughout the dish, peanuts are included as well as cabbage on the side, the noodles are supple and bouncy (but broken into smaller strands), and the "protein" choice (chicken for me), wasn't incredibly chewy, but wasn't super tender either. A happy medium for those looking for more of quantity than quality - which isn't always a bad thing. I knowingly wanted more, and this was my end goal in my ordering process. I do wish I had an option to choose my spice level, though. That would have been a nice addition. All in all, while I don't agree with their menu styling, I can say that for pad thai, you'd definitely get your bang for your buck and it definitely satisfies that craving if you have one, and you'll definitely have left overs to spare.

The restaurant is in a great location with plenty of parking, making it an easy place to visit. Inside, it was clean, bright, and welcoming. We were seated right away, but unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start. No one came by to take our drink order, and we eventually had to wave someone down to get things moving. Once our server came over, though, everything turned around. Here's what we ordered: - Mango Salad - fresh, flavorful, and I loved that it came with lettuce for extra crunch. - Massaman Curry - on the lighter side than I'm used to, but the curry flavor was absolutely on point. - Pad See Ew - Eggplant - Summer Rolls - Sticky Rice - Lychee Tea - refreshing, delicious, and the perfect drink to pair with the meal. Every dish we ordered was excellent. It's always a great sign when you order several items and every single one delivers. The flavors were authentic, well balanced, and made me wish I had room to order even more. Despite the slow start with the service, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Orange County. 10/10, highly recommended if you're craving great Thai food!

I came in to pick up my order as soon as toast said it was "likely done". Tofu was soggy, and portion was small. Likewise, the pad see ew was composed of noodles that fell apart upon any attempt to pick them up, the veggies were undercooked, egg pieces were next to nothing, and the flavor was overall lacking. For $35 with tip, I was disappointed by all means. What I ordered was unfortunately mediocre at best - I won't be returning.

I'm talking $145 for shrimp pad Thai, chicken padseew, shrimp fried rice, yellow chicken curry, mango sticky rice; and Thai/green Thai tea. I've never experienced bad Thai food and this place was the first. They were literally changing the name signs when I went in and it was a ghost town. The mango sticky rice was not even good!!!! The sauce was salty and just strange... The mangos were good and rice ok... but I bit into a hard chunk of rice. I hope they get it together as a new business but definitely not authentic Thai food and their claims to serve good food for the community LOL.... I'm not willing to try it out again as it was that bad. Absolutely no flavor. VERY underwhelming and MID to respectfully say the least. I should've went to a pricier Thai spot close by so I know I'm going to spend good $ to have edible food. Lastly, I decided to get Pad Thai after not getting it in awhile and it was like stir fry. No sweet and sour tang like how it should be. No sauce, just plain. If you like that this is your place. I'm so surprised they were Thai owners because I legitimately thought it were American owners if ykyk. They even greeted my man Thai style like bowing and hands. Anyway, I never leave these type of reviews and wish they had their own yelp to let the new owners see this bc original Thai Gulf would neverrrr.

We were seated promptly as we had Md called in for reservation's. The tables are small and we placed three together. We were given water immediately plus we ordered Thai teas which were promptly served. The owner was our server and promptly took out individual orders consisting of two shared orders of chicken satay. We ordered seafood tom yum soup plus Pad See Ew, one shrimp Pad Thai, two chicken Pad Thai's, Pineapple fried rice. For each order we were asked what spice lever 1-5 we would like. I ordered my pai at a (12)twelve. I also asked for what for me is Sine qua non, that being nam pla prik which was served ice cold from a refrigerator. The only real criticism I have would be that the main entrees were brought to the table before the soup. The satays were served first and I'd say that the chicken texture was more or less that of a thin processed chicken tender. The satay came with a small bit of cucumber and onion side slobs with a I presume was a peanut sauce. The portions were huge, the amount of shrimp, muscles, fish and what seemed to be scallops was more than adequate and very good. I really enjoyed my chicken Pad Thai but could only finish half , much to my chagrin. My Granddaughter commented favorably about her pins pole fried rice and the eldest of my two Grandson's literally devoured every morsel of his chicken Pad Thai. Of course my other grandson ordered Shrimp pad Thai and gave me his shrimp and stated that he doesn't like shrimp? De gustibus non est disputandum? Go figure! The owners service was great and very attentive. The food was very good with only a slight reservation. We were planning to top off the meal with a shared serving of the traditional Khao Niao Mamuang (Sticky Rice and Mango) but we were all satiated to the MAX! Maybe next time. There are more modern looking restaurants with table cloths and ambiance but the charm of the small intimate eatery wasn't lost at Orange Thai. The family enjoyed the meal and my son and I enjoyed the Father's Day experience at Orange Thai.

Meals start at $13.99 and include crispy fried wonton strips, a small house salad, soup of the day (lightly seasoned with chicken), and your choice of entrée. Here's what we ordered: * Sweet and Sour with Crispy Chicken ($13.99) - The chicken was crispy, and the vegetables had that smoky wok hei flavor that made the dish really satisfying. * Silk Noodle Soup (Thai Style) - Ground Chicken & Shrimp ($12.99) - A Thai-style hot and sour noodle soup with a unique flavor profile. Different from the usual Thai noodle soups I've had, but very enjoyable. * Panang Curry ($13.99) - Rich, creamy, mildly spicy, and well balanced. One thing to note: the Thai Iced Tea ($6) and Thai Coconut Drink ($6) were much sweeter than what I've had at other Thai restaurants. I ended up adding quite a bit of water to balance the sweetness. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice ($13.99) was delicious and definitely worth ordering. The owner was also very friendly. After finishing up in the kitchen, she came out to greet customers and chat with many of the regulars, giving the restaurant a warm, neighborhood feel. Overall, it was a great lunch experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of their wok-fried specialties. Silk Thai Cuisine 19690 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648

We also tried their new menu item, Thai Basil Eggplant. It comes with ground chicken, bell peppers, onions, and jasmine white rice. I ordered mild spice level as well, but it wasn't as spicy as the Pad See Ew. It was still very flavorful and definitely goes well with the rice. It came out piping hot! I would get this again!
