I've eaten here a few times now and enjoy the different curry's that they prepare from the green, to the red to the yellow, they are all very tasty. I had the lunch special a few times now and this time I had the green curry with beef, eggplant with red and green pepper. The portion size was definitely on the small side, so if you are hungry I suggest getting something else or an additional appetizer. The lunch special did come with a spring roll, rice and a small side salad as well. The eggplant was tender and delicious and was my favorite. I tried the deep fried rolls with shrimp and avocado. You get one shrimp in each roll and the avocado kind of gets a bit on the mushy side. It was flavorful but I wouldn't get it again. I love their thai coffee. The crying tiger was disappointing for me. He asked me how I wanted the beef and he mentioned medium and I agreed. The beef was medium well and not flavorful to me. This place is so freaking good! I've gone here twice within 2 weeks of finding this place and the hangover noodles and spring rolls are so delicious! I had a spot in San Diego that was my favorite Thai place but when my boyfriend moved to Orange County I was sad to leave it behind but I've definitely found a replacement and I'm so happy! I'm honestly so sad when I'm nearing the end of my food because I just want more - no matter how full I am. The food is addicting. They give you nice portions and the sauce that goes with the spring rolls is yummy, I just wish they gave you more - I'm a heavy dipper. Writing this review is making me crave this place again. I can't wait to go back!! Also to add, I've gotten the drunken noodles with chicken and with tofu, they definitely gave me more tofu and I preferred it to the chicken. We ordered takeout on Mother's Day. We ordered about 5 different items. Boat noodles was awful. I've never had vermicelli noodles as boat noodles. The flavors of the red curry was lacking. The coconut soup was also tasteless. We bought the buy one get one free Boba drink and there was only 1 one in yhe bag. I've ordered here before, food was not great but ok. Now it's just awful. I usually order to go and my food is always ready when they say, if not a few minutes early. Their good has pretty good flavor and average portion sizes. This was my first time trying Thai Fix and I have to say it may be my last. I ordered the Emerald Chicken Curry and Chicken Coconut Soup. The Emerald Chicken was very salty, the eggplant was mushy and the consistency of the curry was too thick in my opinion. The steamed rice was soggy. I did enjoy the Coconut Soup. When checking out...in error, the waitress charged me the wrong amount, $48 when MY bill was only $18. She apologized and immediately voided it but I know that the bank still holds the funds for a few days until it falls off. Luckily I do have money in my account that would cover this $18 dinner which turned into almost $70 dinner. I have my favorite local Thai restaurant I go to but I thought I'd try someplace new and was closer to home. What a disappointment. I've had their food before (coworkers buying it for me), but I've never been to the restaurant. I went into the restaurant for the first time and I was very pleased with everything I experienced. The restaurant was very clean and organized and we were greeted right when we entered. The service was very good and they answered all the questions we had. I ordered the crying tiger which was phenomenal and the sauce they gave on the side was surprisingly delicious and complimented the meet, salad, and rice! Prior to ordering this dish I have only had their curry. Although I loved the dish I order (photo shown), their curry is to die for! I love curry and their curry is flavorful, creamy, and filling! The spiciness varies depending on how hot you tell them you want it. Heat scale is from 1- 10. First time, I went with a 5, not knowing exactly how hot that would be. I like spicy, so 5 was a little too tame. I've gone 10 since and it's a good heat level. Wifey usually goes 5 or under. You can also have the spice on the side and add it to your liking.
