Also I ordered a pad Thai with beef and they sent chicken, so if your looking for accuracy and fresh food delivered, this is most def not the place. Flavors are just okay here, not as bold or authentic as I look for. It's typical Americanized Thai, simple cooking with an overemphasis on the sweet. Their Pad Thai is so sugary sweet, no complexity, and weirdly they chop the noodles extra short, to make it easier to eat I guess? -- Like I did for my kids when they were two. Most of us adults know how to get noodles on a fork, thank you very much. The Green Curry here tastes a bit watered down and is the consistency of very thin soup (I hate that), with huge chunks of overcooked, mushy eggplant. Plus it came with too little rice on the side. Dining room is small but modern, comfortable and clean. There are four flat screen TVs on the walls, 2 of which are not functioning, one colors are malfunctioning. Issue was they were tuned to music videos showing violence, murder, sex acts, naked people -- highly inappropriate when young children are dining. Come ooon folks. Should a customer really have to say something? But my biggest problem with this place is owners seem like nice enough people, until you try to use a coupon. First they play the "what coupon?" game. Ahem, the one we handed you upon sitting down to dine. She reluctantly adjusts it, and lo and behold an extra charge appears that wasn't on the bill before. Very unprofessional. Such a cute little hole-in-the-wall Thai place! The best part about this place is the staff. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us some good recommendations. The food was really good, although I wished their Tom Ka soup was a little more flavorful but overall I really enjoyed everything. I highly recommend the Crying Tiger- the meat was cooked to perfection and the sauce that goes with it is to die for! Definitely one of the best Thai places I've found in HB! read more

It's been a while and I decided to give this place another chance because I was desperate for Thai food and my usual location is closed on Mondays. I have to admit, it wasn't bad at all. Ginger chicken, Tom yum soups, papaya salad, were all great! I liked the crying tiger too but I wish it were sliced abit thinner. Still it was good. Service was good - fast and friendly. Tried Thai Fix for the first time after seeing that they had the best reviews in my area (I live in Newport Beach which is lacking in Thai food). Ordered delivery via Uber Eats and I thought it was pretty good! Got an order of Crab Rangoon ($6.95) which came with six pieces and a side of sweet & sour sauce. The crab rangoon had plenty of filling and were fried perfectly crispy. Also ordered their Pad Thai ($11.95) with chicken ($1.00) and asked them to make it medium spicy. One thing I liked is that these guys are not shy when it comes to spice - my dish had a pretty big kick to it! The sauce that was cooked in the pad thai was slightly different from other pad thai dishes I've had, but I thought it still tasted good. The spiciness level definitely increased the flavor. The portion size was also very generous. I ate about half of it and was pretty full so this dish is great for sharing. The reason I took 1 star away is because the amount of chicken in my pad thai seemed a bit small. I think it should have come with more, especially since they are charging an additional $1 to add protein to your dish (other places I've been to automatically include protein in the dish for free). Other than that, I like that Thai Fix uses bold flavors in their dishes instead of making it "Americanized." Also love that they know how to spice things up! This is my go-to Thai restaurant. Their general Thai dish offerings are always great. They have great customer service too. I only do take-out from here and have never had any issues. And I love the egg/crab omelette on top. So delectable! 2.) Spaghetti Kee Mao -- Spaghetti stir fry with shrimp! Doused in sauce, lots of shrimp and veggies and the flavor was fantastic! 3.) Samosas -- More like gyozas than actual samosas. I was indifferent about the taste and prefer actual samosas, which are bigger, rounder and fluffier. I called to confirm only to be told my order didn't go through. But you took my money! Pull up on them because I'm a mail carrier and my time is valuable. They then tell me that my money was refunded. Now tell me if you struggling for customers why refund an online order? Wow! We recently moved to the neighborhood and had a wonderful family dinner at Thai Fix. It was a Saturday night, just after 7 pm and busy, but they were able to our group of six right away. We ordered family style (shared entrees). 5 entrees was just the right amount for six adults. With beverages and tip (we gave 20%), the total came to $100. The server asked how hot we wanted each dish to be prepared, using a scale of 1 to 10. Each dish was piping hot and flavorful, spiced just as we had requested. For dine-in, this place is spectacular (and the reason for 5 stars). Service is always friendly and attentive. Food comes out quickly, super hot and fresh, and seasoned well. I just recently came back from a month-long trip in Thailand and honestly, the curry here tastes really similar to the authentic spots in Thailand (except less spicy lol, even at level 7 or 8). I don't enjoy pad thai very much because it's too sweet for my taste, and the "authentic" pad thai in Thailand was no exception. My favorites here are the red and the green curry with chicken. Their spicy basil fried rice is also good. Thai tea is about average - not overly sweet like some other places, atleast. I used to frequent Thai Gulf and Thai Pepper a lot, but Thai Fix is closer to my office and just as good in my opinion. I've ordered take out before and didn't enjoy the food as much as dine-in.
