I tried this place on a friend's referral a few weeks ago and keep forgetting to Yelp how great it was! Went on a busy Friday night and the service was amazing! Although the whole staff was busy multiple servers checked in on us, refilled our water, and even accidentally brought us an extra appetizer which we got to keep : ) We really didn't mind the mistake! Really, anywhere that has a gluten-free menu will most likely win my heart. It makes dining in my household so much easier! I'm not gf myself, but the partner is. The gluten-free fried tofu is pretty much perfect! They have a good happy hour menu and a surprisingly large dessert menu, although I was too full of yellow curry to try anything at that point. My favorite, is their green curry as well as their summer roles. We had this yummo soup last week with a ton of coconut milk. Havent really noticed an issue with the blandness as a lot of people have said, but I think we add Sriracha to everything anyways. We ordered take-out and it was better than most in the area. (Phad See Ew & Cashew Chicken). They have the regular thai fare and a fusion section which looked really good, but I was really hungry and didn't feel like experimenting at the time. When we picked up our order, we scoped the place out. Pleasant staff, and the interior was clean and trendy. The lounge/bar was tiny, but had a nice flatscreen TV with Sunday night football playing and it looked like somewhere I could unwind with a friend. It might get a little crowded by the persuers of happy hour, and while it's not exactly the type of place you would expect to find $1 HH PBR tall boys, I'm not complaining. The HH menu looks great and very inexpensive, although I'm still curious what a $5 happy ending is. I've been to Thailand, but I suspect it means something different here... How sweet it is!!! Meaning the food is really, really, really sweet. Thai food should have wonderful layers of flavors. The flavor here was sweet layered over bland. Ordered the cucumber salad which turned out to be 1/4 cucumber with a few raw peppers and red onion served in sugary syrup. Pad Thai had very little other than noodles and boy do I wish they had actually included a slice of lemon because guess what? It could have used the acid to cut the SWEET. Finally, panang curry had exactly six thin slices of chicken floating in a bland and sweet broth. Would have LOVED to love this place because it's local and as a fellow small business owner I feel for them having a hard time with poor reviews on Yelp, but maybe rather than feel victimized by poor Yelp reviews they should use the feedback to create better, more authentic food and a better dining experience. We order delivery and have eaten in from Thai Fusion. Inside restaurant is pleasant and fairly well decorated. Service is good. Food overall is fresh and authentic, but could use a bit more flavor, like lime etc., but overall solid. Their Pad Thai is authentic using the hallmark tamarind sauce instead of the borderline Chinese brown sauces that some Inauthentic places use. However, I think the Pad Thai doesn't use enough lime as it is very bland. I ordered 3-star which is max on Open Table order and it was not hot at all and lacked flavor. Their pineapple fried rice and other rice dishes are excellent. Their hammered noodles or Pad Kee Mao escapes me at the moment but I think it was rather bland too which is why I have been ordering the pad Thai which is better. read more

Thai Fusion is one of my go-to Thai restaurants in Seattle. With a menu that is half Bangkok street food and half Thai classics, it offers a nice balance of dishes for most people's tastes. Tonight I had the yellow curry with chicken; even at its mildest, this dish has a delicious little sting to it. The phad see eiw, another favorite, is always good. I also recommend the pumpkin curry, the phad thai, and almost any one of the street food dishes. Best thing about this restaurant is that it's more of a neighborhood place than a hot spot, serving the local office park and the neighborhood, which means that it's not hard to get a seat nor is it a long wait for a tasty meal. Found this place off Yelp recommendations. We called for a reservation on a Saturday night and definitely did not need one. The place was very quiet. We had little people with and it was kid friendly. Decor was cool and the music was nice (not overpowering as others have said). Cocktails were different and tasty. I loved the pineapple mojito. Waitress was a gem. Food was fantastic. Truly. We started with crab wontons and sassy chicken wings (on recommendation from another Yelper). Crab wontons were good. Wings were fantastic. Highly recommend. Two in our party had the Pad Thai (both raved, said it was very flavorful... especially for Pad Thai). One had Red Curry and said it was the best he's had. Best Cocktail I ever had! Huckleberry Finn, strong and delicious! At first this place perplexed me. I kept thinking they would go bust being right down the street from 123 Thai and spending so much on the decor, but after going, I really get it. 123 Thai is more for your quick in and out run, and Fusion is for pleasure. Their coconut soup was to die for, the way it should taste, but the main courses were great, but not quite so memorable. The drinks were the true highlight. I have never felt tipsy after one drink, especially some girly cocktail like that, but after this drink, I had to reevaluate. It was good, citrusy, with real berries giving a weight to it.. Best Thai food in Seattle in my opinion. The appy menu is fantastic with the crab wontons and skewers. A great atmosphere is brought together with cool ambient lighting and acid-lounge music pulsing in the background setting the tone for a very hip and trendy vibe in the bar. The owner(s) are awesome people with a very strong desire to share the culinary gift of Thai cuisine with all who are willing to pick up the utensils. The bartender (Kris i believe it is) is a great guy to sit and chat with at the bar while your enjoying some food and drink as well. In short if you havent been here yet you need to try it, you wont be disappointed with the experience. Their late night happy hour is pretty well rounded so if your stomach calls to you after 10pm (like mine often does) then you need to head down here and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

I've had the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Hammered Noodles, and Massaman Curry (all with fried tofu) and all were very good. They came out with a Gluten Free menu. My fiance' and I were very excited because she has Celiac Disease. The food tasted amazing and we devoured it until there wasn't anything left. About an hour after we finished, my fiance' started feeling sick to her stomach. We were up all night as she was making multiple trips to the bathroom. Because she couldn't taste the Gluten initially, she ate the whole meal and has been sick for two days. Needless to say, the food was not Gluten Free and unfortunately enough my fiance' is in pain because of it. It's hard enough as is trying to find a restaurant that has a Gluten Free Menu. Just went in on a friendly-date and finally tried out their green curry, my favorite of the Thai cuisine. The smell was fragrant and the taste was dialed in just right. They didn't cheap out on the thai basil and lime. I must say, it's the best green curry I've had so far. From the desert menu, we also had the "mango lime tango," my friend was very impressed, and her word means quite a bit considering that she was a professional cakemaker. This is a nice cozy place.Its clean and modern. I was digging the ambiance. Now, I came here with my girlfriends for dinner yesterday an was highly satisfied with the appetizers and my entree. I ordered the Chang Mai Lumpia, and Swimming Rama Noodles. They were both tasty and the portions were huge. Its on par with my favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle Little Thai in U-District as far food goes but one ups Little Thai by serving good mix drinks. Thai Fusion is within walking distance from my apartment but I've only been there twice, and that was in November. Even with the paucity of restaurants (or anything) in my neighborhood, I don't have the overwhelming desire to return. Our first trip to Thai Fusion was for dinner. We had the Hammered Noodles with chicken ($9.95) and vegetarian Phad See Iew ($9.95). I ordered my dish at 3 stars but it wasn't spicy at all -- a sentiment echoed in most other reviews. The presentation was pretty and the portions were decent, but nothing blew us away. Then we came back a couple nights later for happy hour. The waitress remembered us, which was cool. We sat by the windows in the bar and I was freezing. They closed a bit early that night (it was right before Thanksgiving) but we had time for apps and a couple beers and they didn't rush us out. We ordered the Chicken Shrimp Rolls (five small pieces), Crab Wontons (I didn't try since I hate cream cheese), and Cucumber Salad. Nothing really stood out except the Cucumber Salad, which was refreshing and yummy and only $2. We had Manny's and Mac n Jacks, which is always a good thing, but $4 at HH isn't that great of a deal. The "off the beaten path" location isn't doing Thai Fusion any good either. I'm sure they thought the locals would be flocking in since there's only a couple other restaurants on Nickerson, but it's almost empty every time I pass by. Nickerson is more of a means to an end than a destination and I doubt many people are looking for dining in the area. Plus the food isn't really worth going out of your way for. I wish Thai Fusion the best but doubt they'll succeed unless they do something to stand out in a sea of Thai competition. I've noticed a Free Delivery sign in the window, which I should probably take advantage of. Judging by other reviews it looks like I should go back and try dessert, the tiramisu coffee, and the HH skewers. I'll be sure to update if I do. We had a Groupon coupon and tried this place. Parking is not the easiest to find. We parked on the street. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The restaurant was about 1/3 full for dinner on a Wednesday night. We ordered crispy egg rolls that were boring --- nothing special, the standard cabbage and carrots. The Panang chicken had decent flavor, but very little sliced chicken swimming an a pool of curry sauce. The beef stew thin bean noodles was NOT successful. The beef was dry, the sweet soy and anise-like sauce was TOO salty (almost inedible). The best thing was the bottle of wine. The service was not great....the appetizer and main dishes all came together and the waitress rarely checked in. There are too many Thai choices to return. If only Bai Tong was in Queen Anne and not Tukwila and Redmond! It's worth the drive with a strong enough craving! read more

To sum it all off, this place is not good and very overpriced. My friend and I went there to get a quick bite for a decent price on a Sunday evening. These two expectations were not met, in the least. We were there for nearly an hour and a half. The food was ok, but definitely DEFINITELY too expensive. My check totaled $17, plus obviously we are expected to tip. When it came to the tip, I was torn. Our waitress was nice, but she was so slow in giving us service. Literally we waited for half an hour for food and ten minutes after she took our plates for the check, then at least ten more minutes for her to run our cards and bring the receipts. I don't think I will ever go back here. It is more expensive than your typically Thai restaurant and the food no better than usual, nor are the portions greater. You are basically just paying for the ambiance, which, in my opinion, is not worth it. You try it, though, and be the judge. read more

I've had Thai Fusion about 5 times now... The first time I was craving Thai and saw there were a 2 Thai places on Nickerson on my drive home. I decided to stop at Thai Fusion because it looks a little more upscale than the 123 Thai. I made an order To-Go, the hostess was very nice, but I was a little worried when I saw the restaurant literally had 1 couple dining. I noticed their free delivery sign (with a minimum of $25 order), which was really exciting to me because I had just moved to Magnolia and had been looking for a few places that delivered. I confirmed while I was there that they would deliver to my house in Magnolia. I really enjoyed my dinner that night with red curry and cashew chicken and of course a Thai tea. The first delivery order I made was great and my boyfriend was impressed. We've order delivery 4 more times I think, 3 of the 4 times they forgot items (rice) or we were disappointment with the portion size we received. I called to inform them that we were missing rice the second time this happened and they asked well do you want a credit or something like were out of line to call and let them know. This last time we made an order for delivery they informed me that we had to have a $45 minimum order for free delivery and the reasoning was that I live "well over 3 miles away." I was really disappointed to hear this; we'd never had a problem in the past (Except for them forgetting rice). When the delivery man arrived we asked in more detail why we were being told the minimum purchase order will now be $45 for us, he said its $25 within 2 miles, $10 for every additional .5 mile. Luckily this order was just at $45 after order an appetizer, a soup, 2 entrees, 2 orders of rice and a Thai tea. There is one other Thai place we've found that will deliver to us for free (actually for free); unfortunately the food is not as good. Looks like we are stuck with the other place now since every order will definitely NOT be $45. I got a plate of mixed veggies with tofu (I don't remember the name of the dish), and it was good, but nothing amazing. I ordered it with brown rice, which was an extra $2. I know how much rice costs, and charging $2 for a tiny bowl of brown rice that was really dry and slightly cold seems insane. My meal and rice cost $13 and I didn't have anything left over. That seems like a lot for mediocre food, not to mention I'm a small lady and usually have leftovers so the price seemed a bit steep for what you get. If you are allergic to nuts don't even bother coming here. First time I ordered a Phad Thai for my roommate and specifically told them not to add nuts due to allergies. My roommate took a bite of her Phad Thai and you can see tiny bits of peanuts. We called and they didn't even apologize. They told us that our next meal would be on them, why would we even bother eating there again though right? Second time, we ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice that has cashews in them. Again we told them not to add the cashews due to allergies. We got our food and found cashews in them, told them to remake it. Here's what the cook does, they picked out the cashews out of the fried rice. IT'S STILL CONTAMINATED! Again no apology. The lady working there starts telling us that cashews are a Legume. Hey lady!
