Leaving Southern California and coming to Austin, one thing I definitely missed was boiling crab! So glad this opened next to me! Came here one night and it was packed at 8pm with a 2 hour wait so I said no thanks and came back the next day for a late lunch. Everything like I remembered! Only downside was a lot of crabs were not available BUT they do have live crawfish which California never had! We got the crawfish, shrimp, and king crab legs with some sides cooked in the whole shebang mild sauce. Everything was so good and fresh and I could've eaten so much more! Service was awesome and they refilled drinks as soon as they noticed we needed it. The interior was very familiar like a seaside shack how the original locations were, very welcoming atmosphere. Listening to conversations it was many people's first time here so I'm glad many people get to experience this for the first time! Do come and do come early or plan on a wait. Boiling Crab is always such a fun spot for lunch or dinner with friends. I've been before but I visited most recently last week. We went because my friend had a free pound of shrimp coupon so we wanted to use it before it expired. I wasn't super hungry, so I just got an order of potatoes and two corns in the medium sauce. The flavor was amazing as usual. It was super garlicky and buttery. However, it was definitely spicier than I rememberd. My mouth was on fire and I probably drank like three cups of water. But it was still worth it. One of my friends potatoes were way too hard, but our waitress was really nice about it and brought out fresh ones. The atmosphere was really chill and I like that the restaurant doesn't have a strong fishy smell like some seafood places do. Even though it was messy eating with our hands, I weirdly left feeling pretty clean. Definitely a delicious experience. read more

I wouldn't say to get anything fried because it's gonna be fried on the outside but it's gonna be mushy in the inside, but they're boiled items are very flavorful, and some of the best that I've had in Austin and the service is amazing and it's always very clean inside of the restaurant read more

The whole she-bang in medium heat because you have to remember the spice BUILDS and so if you start of medium you're mouth will only be on fire at the end of consuming 2 pounds versus raging behemoth if you got anything spicier than medium. LOL. Our server Huy was great! We told him it was our friend's birthday and later a crew of 4 came over to clap and sing happy birthday to her. It's a clean space with ample seating. Not too busy on a Tuesday evening. It's part of LINQ, which is building up. Plenty of parking and there's even outdoor seating. Crawfish is 13.99/pound right now. The french fries were crispy, hot and soft in the center. Fried shrimp was tasty and the chicken wings were piping hot and oh so crunchy. I really liked the boiling crab when I was in the dfw area, so I was happy to know it finally opened its location in Austin. We went there on a weekday and it was crowded but not overly packed. We waited for about 5 minutes before being seated. We ordered the 1lb crawfish with added boiled eggs and potatoes. We selected the mild spicy with Shabang sauce,and had lemon Pepper chicken wings for appetizers with a margarita. The wings came out around 15 min and it was fresh and hot. I think the wings crispy-ness was so on point. Tender to every bite and the seasoning was just so perfect. To save some room for the crawfish, I had to refrain myself from eating too many. The crawfish came out a bit after and the seasoning was garlicky, spicy, with Cajun and had a limey kick to it. It was good that we got mild because it would get spicier as you make your way through. Overall, I think everything was great. I also love the ambience as well, it gives a coastal vibe. The pricing is a bit higher than the other crawfish stores, but I think given the atmosphere and ambience, it's worth it. Can't wait to bring friends here. read more

We went on a Sunday & saw large groups of tables put together to accommodate bigger families (for those that may have a lot of folks to feed). We were seated without too much of a wait (we were there around 4:30). Unlike some crab boils that automatically give you potatoes, corn & sausage - this location customizes the bag boil based on each person's choices: pick seafood/protein, flavor (Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic or the big Shazam - all 3 mixed), level of spiciness, & veggies are ordered la carte. I got all 3 flavors, snow crab, clams, boiled egg & corn - ohhh wee!! I was surprised that I couldn't order crab by half pound however, I'm so glad I waited before I ordered Dungeness crab... I was waaay too full. Thanks to our Server D for your patience & recommendations. They brought out the food as it was ready. I'm glad to have another seafood boil spot in town, especially one closer to me. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and waited about 40 min before getting seated. Service was friendly and quick. I ordered some mussels, shrimp, and king crab legs with the shabang sauce. The crab legs came in a separate bag than the shrimp and mussels and the sauce was a lot saltier than the sauce in the shrimp/mussels bag. If you ask me what I'm doing, 9 times out of 10 I will say I'm thinking about the next time I can have boiling crab. While only open for a couple of weeks in Austin, I've already gone multiple times and already have plans to go again! Everything here is immaculate, from the attentive and friendly service, the DELICIOUS SEASONING AND SUCCULENT SEAFOOD, and the yummy wings. You literally cannot go wrong here! I loved the snow crab and mussels with the whole shabang sauce and the wings were honestly better than most wing places in town. I usually come on weeknights and haven't had to wait more than 20 minutes when I come early, even when they were first opening. If you guys charge PER POUND, then I should be receiving 2 clusters. If not then you should charge PER CLUSTER. Came here on grand opening day - the line was huuuuugeeeee. So many people came on day 1 excited to try the new seafood spot in town. I did end up waiting about 2 hours to get seated and a total of 1 1/2 hr dining in. By the time we were seated a lot of things were already sold out I had the crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage with medium heat + house sauce. Their medium was pretty spicy for me so if you have a low tolerance I suggest going mild. Given that they were packed and super busy I would come back to try it again once the hype has died down. I really enjoyed the flavor- the shrimp was a little over cooked and the crawfish were small (it's still early in the season). I do think some items are overpriced but I heard crawfish had a bad season so it's more expensive than ever. This was our best experience by far. Our last 3 visits the service had gotten slow, but not last night. Brooks and Kay took excellent care of us! Brooks greeted us almost immediately and had everything ready to get us started. Then he made the night for me, they FINALLY have non alcoholic beer. And apparently he made it happen. Food was delicious as usual and when Brooks went on break Kay took good care of us. Overall best visit. And please keep the NA beer - there are us sobers who would like some other than the standard tea, water and coke. read more

A horrible dining experience with them. I found a 2 inch long black screw nail in my seafood boiling. The manager came without any apologies. He said he can't believe their kitchen has this kind of stuff. He can only offer a small discount. I was so shocked by the manager's attitude, even we have a 5 years old child dining with us. Looks like he has zero regret to have the little kids eating the food which has a screw nail in it. They finally waived the seafood boil and charged for the small dish and drinks.
